Episode 8

Kyouka is standing stock still. Suddenly, she sneezes. "Oops!"

"CUT!"

"F-four times…"

"You're telling me he got dissected four times? And he's still sane?" Kunikida demands.

Mori nods.

"That's crazy talk!"

"The fact of the matter is that that's how her Ability works."

"It's still overkill!"

Yosano shrugs. "It's not that bad."

"Alright everyone, meet Kajii! He's the one playing the bomber in this episode." Mori lets the oddly dressed man in.

Atsushi and Tanizaki are cuddling, Gin is provoking Kunikida, Naomi and Tanizaki are arguing, Dazai is flirting with Haruno, and Kyouka, Elise, Akutagawa, and Kenji are playing poker. Ranpo is making corrections to a novel, Higuchi is organizing prop weapons with Yosano, and Hirotsu is smoking.

Kajii looks at the chaos. "How long is my contract for?" He says warily.

"Forever." Mori replies. "We have our fair share of weirdos but they're generally calm."

"This is calm?"

"Comparatively."

"We've rigged enough explosives in the front and back cars to blow everyone clear to the moon!" Kajii cheers. He cocks his head. "What kind of explosives? TNT? RDX? Octogen? C4? Tell me tell me tell me!"

"Uh, Mori, what did he do before this?" Akutagawa says.

"He's a chemistry teacher."

"Makes sense."

"Terminate with extreme prejudice!"

"But…I don't want to terminate Kyouka."

"We don't know it's her yet."

"CUT!"

Kyouka unleashes Demon Snow.

It cuts through a luggage rack and bags tumble down on top of her. "Ah!"

Atsushi digs her out of the pile. "That went well."

"Oh shut it." She snarls.

"The reason for that is simple. You're just an idiot." Yosano laughs under Kajii's geta.

He sniffles. "You're mean!" He wails.

"CUT! Kajii, that was in the script!"

"Oh. Oops."

Yosano punches Kajii again. He goes flying, hits his head, and faints. "Uh-oh."

"Come on Yosano we need this scene done today!"

Atsushi and the others are watching Yosano and Kajii act out their scene. Atsushi shivers. "She is really good at acting insane."

Akutagawa gulps. "I'm not sure that's acting."

Tachihara edges away from the set.

"So my character has control now? Good." Atsushi says.

Tachihara raises a hand. "How'd everyone learn to control their abilities?"

"Practice, a lot of dead animals, and meditation." The weretiger divulges.

Kyouka nods. "It's all about connecting with the ability and learning to use it. I cut up a lot of trees by mistake when I practiced."

Kenji smiles widely. "I herded cows!"

"I worked with a vet." Yosano reveals.

Akutagawa shrugs. "Some of us are born with control, like me."

"I put on little lightshows for Naomi." Tanizaki grins.

"Huh. I wonder why some abilities don't behave at first." The redhead muses.

"I don't want to pass out in Kyouka's lap!" Atsushi protests. "I'm not into kids!"

"It's for drama, not romance! And she's fifteen, so she's not a kid."

"She's a kid, Mori." Elise deadpans.
