The trial was held two weeks later, and Grand Pabbi was sentenced to life imprisonment for treason, under high security, in a troll-proof cell. Apparently, the reason he'd been so bitter, was because of Elsa and Anna's grandfather, King Runard. King Runard had been extremely discriminative toward both the Northuldra, and the trolls. Go figure. The trolls were considered sub-human during his reign, and they were not allowed even basic human things, such as shopping at Arendellian markets, or even trade negotiations. Grand Pabbi grew to hate the humans, because of this, and vowed to get revenge. He'd convinced the other trolls to elect him as their leader, and they would obey his every command. He'd tried to subtly edge his way onto the throne countless times, with elaborate plans behind every attempt. He'd tried to weaken the royal family's minds and relationships, by convincing King Agnarr to teach Elsa to lock away her powers. He'd attempted to get Kristoff married into the throne, by getting his faithful followers to arrange a wedding between him and Princess Anna. He'd tried to have Prince Hans take control of the throne, then quickly, subtly overthrow it for themselves. All so that he could rule as a just and fair ruler, treating Trolls as they were meant to be treated, and perhaps show the humans what it was like to be scorned.

Apparently, none of the other trolls realized Grand Pabbi had been using them. Grand Pabbi had told them he wanted to become King of Arendelle, but only so that the trolls would be treated fairly, which they really wanted. Humans only came to trolls when they needed something. Well, all except Kristoff. After that day, the trolls were accepted into Arendellian society, and seeing them in the streets was not an uncommon, or even not an everyday thing

Hans and his brothers also started frequently visiting Arendelle, almost as often as Elsa visited. The Southern Isles and Arendelle quickly became very strong allies, and, of course, trade partners. Once the whole thing blew over, Anna brought back the Arendellians from the ice castle on the North Mountain, and they moved into their homes, again./

About two months later, as the first blossoms of the cherry trees sprang forth, signaling the beginning of spring, Anna and Kristoff held their wedding inside the ice palace. All of the Southern royal family came, including Hans' sisters in law, his nieces and nephews, and his newest, tiny, adorable nephew. Olaf had a lot of fun chasing around all of the tiny puff-ball snowmen, and all of the children from the Southern isles. Just before the reception, Anna was wandering around, talking to all her friends, when she noticed Hans was missing. It didn't take long for her to find him. He was standing on the balcony, watching the stars with a wistful edge to his gaze.

"Hey." She said softly. "Are you okay?"

"Hm?" He looked up. "Yeah. I'm good. I just… Nothing."

Anna shook her head, leaning against the railing next to him. "No, something's definitely wrong. Whatcha thinking about?"

He stared off into the distance for a few seconds. "I mean, it's crazy."

"What?"/

"We finish each other's-"

"Sandwiches." Anna nodded. "Yeah. You're not… bitter, are you?"

"No, not really." He shook his head. "Just a little… well, Kristoff's a really lucky guy. But I guess… you and I weren't meant to be."

Anna smiled. "Thanks. I guess not."

There was another silence. "You know, there's this girl, back home…" Hans started.

"Yeah?"

Hans nodded. "She's really something. Her name's Katrina. She's one of the noblewomen in Ed's court."

Anna nodded encouragingly.

"We've been… together, sort of, for a month, now." Hans continued, then, suddenly, he pulled a slim diamond ring out of his coat. "This is for her."

Anna's eyes widened. "Really? Hans, that's awesome! That's really great!"

Hans nodded, a tiny smile on his face. "Yeah."

"I'm really happy for you two!" Anna grinned

Hans shrugged. "Well, she hasn't said yes, yet." He thought for a few minutes. "But I kinda get the feeling she will. And, at the same time, I'm terrified she won't…"

Anna nodded. "Well, you know… I said yes."

He gave her a look. "And then you punched me in the face and married someone else."

She giggled sheepishly. "Yeah… well… Sorry about that…"

"It's okay." Hans grinned. "Honestly, I'm a little glad you did. Because Katrina, she's… well, if I married you, I couldn't have her. And, no offense, but I think that'd be a disaster."

Anna laughed. "Yeah, I think so, too! Tell me what she says, okay?"

"Of course!" He looked shocked. "Why wouldn't I? You're my best friend!"

Anna nodded, and they turned, and together, went back inside, where the servants were just bringing out the cake

"Anna!" Kristoff came up beside her. "There you are! We have to cut the cake, remember?"

"Yeah, of course!" Anna nodded. "How could I forget?"

As soon as they'd cut the first slice, all the tiny snowmen swarmed the cake, each taking their own slice, and running.

"Hey, get back here!" Elsa called. "Let some of us have cake, too!"

A few of the snowmen could be convinced to relinquish their third and fourth slices, so everybody got at least one slice.

After they ate, a few musicians started up a song, and she and Kristoff danced together. At that moment, Anna thought her life to be completely, and utterly perfect.
