Chapter 8

Alright everyone here is chapter 8 along Sora and Ellie's adventure, they have finally made it to the Gacha kingdom, now lets see what evil is in store for them.

I don't own gacha world

2 days have passed since me and Ellie had gotten to the capital of this world, and we still didn't have a job. Both of our stomachs growled in protest as we continued trudging up the road towards the wall which protected the gacha kingdom from the monsters out in the wild. Apparently jester had arrived a week ago and had already left so we missed her show by a long shot.

"Hey Sora? Is it just me or is everyone panicking?" it was true, people were running away from the wall, all except for a young woman in a black maid outfit.

"Excuse me, but why is everyone running?" I asked, the girl turned to look at me, her golden hair temporarily blinded me. With the sun's reflection it almost looked like her red eyes were glowing. Thankfully a cloud passed over the sun and I quickly found out her eyes were not in fact glowing.

"Monsters are breaking through the wall, I've come to try and slow them down so that the good people of this city can escape" the girl put her hands on her hips and planted her feet apart, ehr face broke out into a grin. "Also my name is maid sana!" I looked over at Ellie who stood beside me, the little fairy was rolling her eyes and sighing as she shook her head.

"Ok… sana, please stand aside" this was a big opportunity for me and Ellie, whenever i killed a monster it had a high chance of dropping money which would be transported to my pouch on my belt. Thankfully when Ellie had lost all our money we had not lost the 3 thousand gems I had been saving.

My sword made a hissing sound as it was pulled from my sheath and I quickly took a combat posed with the blade behind me in my right hand. The wall exploded inwardly, throwing rubble all around me, I couldn't care less. At the moment all I really wanted was a nice meal and some place to sleep without having to worry about someone stabbing me at night.

Goblins clambered over the ruined wall and let out their puny war cries, a small grin started to form on my face but it soon vanished as I heard the scream of a child.a swarm of bats were surrounding a young boy who was trying to run towards us while carrying a baby. My blood began to boil in rage and soon my sword burst into flames as I switched to fire type. I shot forward, weaving my way through the wreckage until the children were directly in front of me. Leaping over their heads I forced more energy into my sword and made the flames leap higher, and soon all that was left of the bats were smoking remains littering the ground.

The boy didn't hesitate when the bats were gone, he just took off and ran. I don't blame him, true battle was not something to be proud of, needless bloodshed, the loss of family members. All of it was wrong, I guess that means I'm evil fighting for a good cause.

"Alright you bastards" I said to no one, raising my head I locked my green gaze onto my next target and attacked.

Ellies POV

Sora had burst into flames just to kill bats, to be fair the bats were attacking children. But that didn't seem like him. I willed my wings to flap and soon I was hovering over the battlefield, I spotted the maid healing some people farther away from the wall. Good girl. As for sora, she was keeping the invading monsters at bay, summoning and cutting them down any way he could.

I didn't want Sora to know but I was a little worried for her, she hadn't seemed the same ever since she had woken up. Did something happen while she was sleeping? Whatever it was she was more vicious now, shorter temper, colder. Oh how I wish i knew how to help, so many things had happened to Sora that I felt sorry for. Apparently in her world she had been a guy. So for one she had been ripped from her world and changed into a girl, and for another she had lost her memory for the most part.

I gripped my head and concentrated, Sora's world, it wasn't one of the one that had corruption. Actually it wasn't one of the worlds she knew of. For some reason I had no data on Sora's world, this made no sense, I had data on all the worlds within the Gacha realm. Did this mean… Sora came from outside the Gacha realms?
