Hey, guys. I was thinking of writing a High School fic for The Dragon Prince surrounding Ezran. What do you think?
THERE BEEN SNOW WHERE I LIVE!
Chapter Eight.
Kipo grinned as she stood. That Equa-heal was great stuff! It had healed her within a day, and she felt better than ever.
She walked over to a stump pedestal, where some awaiting Timbercats, fitness Raccoons, and Brad and Amy.
She took a breath. This speech would change their minds for good.
...
Emelia, Greta, Zola, and Zane were in in an abandoned shop, gathering supplies.
"Remember, we need something, anything that's nitrate. It's for the gas." Said Zola.
"Do we need any of these?" Asked Greta, holding up a bag of noodles.
"Of course not, you amentis!" Cried Zola, throwing his mechanical arms up in the air.
"Put the noodles down. We have a list for a reason." Said Emelia. "The next time Kipo comes, we'll be ready. We'll be ready for them all."
"What is so important about this 'Kipo'?" Asked Zola.
Before Emelia could answer, the sound of metal scraping came from above.
As the humans raised their weapons and looked around, a figure fell from above as well as a ceiling plate.
The figure -a young Wolf Mute Boy- ran for it, carrying snacks.
Emelia shot it with a tranquiliser dart before it could get far. With a grunt, he fell forward, unconscious.
Emelia pointed her crossbow at the unfortunate child's head.
A Wolf mute Girl of around the same age jumped down from above, ready to attack Emelia. Greta grabbed her.
"Let go!" Shouted the Struggling Wolf mute.
Emelia smirked, and raised her crossbow.
"Wait." Said Zola, whacking the crossbow out of Emelia's hand. "I have a plan."
...
Kipo had just finished her speech, and it had gone well.
"First of all, we love your energy." Said Label.
"Your positivity is an ocean, and we're getting rocked by your waves." Tongue Depressor added.
"Buuut..." Added Amy. "We definitely can't join your alliance."
"What? Why not?" Asked Kipo.
"Because we're afraid!" Shouted Label.
"Of the Humans?" Asked Wolf "They're just confused." She told them, a little irritated.
"No, not them." Replied Amy.
She lowered her voice to a whisper "We're afraid of him!"
As they began to chatter, Scarlamange gave them a taunting wave.
"Scarlamange tried to send us to the final meditation." Said Tongue Depressor.
"He Destroyed our beautiful park!" Added Amy.
"RIP Ratland." Said Benson, taking off his hat in respect.
"Look, I'm sorry Kipo, but if he's here, then we are out of here." Said Label, firmly.
With that, the guest mutes left.
"But he's in a cage, and he can't hurt anyone from in there. Besides, he's really sorry...probably." Protested Kipo.
The Mutes all burst out laughing. Even Dave. Thor kicked him off the edge of the bridge with her boot.
"Arrrrgh!" He cried, before he hit the ground and became Old Man Dave.
Everyone stared at him.
Thor looked awkward. "Oops."
"Ah, that's okay." Said Benson. "He's Immortal."
Everyone decided to get back to the point.
"Scarlamange sorry?" Amy looked very sceptical. "Fat chance."
"I gotta do crunches just thinking about all the fat in that chance." Label Explained, before doing some sit-ups.
"Stop crunching! I'm serious!" Said Kipo. "I know deep down he's sorry! What if I can get him to apologise?"
The Mutes burst out laughing. Again.
"Oh... your serious." Said Amy, smiling.
...
Kipo and Thor stood outside Scarlamange's cage, trying to convince him.
"So, you see, you just need to give them a real, honest Apology at the HMUFA meeting later today." Said Kipo, grinning from ear to ear.
Scarlamage burst out laughing.
Great. You know things are bad when even the person you're trying to prove something about finds the idea amusing.
"Oh, oh, that's good. Oh... Oh, your serious?" He asked, surprised. "Well, very well. What do I get if I 'Apologise'." He asked, pressing his hands against the glass.
"Nothing." Said Kipo "You do it because it's the right thing to do, and because you're a nice person. Somewhere deep. Very... deep inside." Kipo told him. "Deep."
"Only one problem with that plan, Kipo." Said Wolf, coming up on a ball of wool, carrying a silver platter. "To apologise, he'd actually have to mean it."
"Oh, I'm so deeply, terribly sorry. What have I done?" Scarlamange mocked. "Leave me to my shame!" He put a hand to his eyes in mock-shame. He pulled it away, before giving a blunt and true statement. "No, I don't. See? It's easy."
Thor banged the cage with his hammer, making Scarlamange stumble
Wolf put the platter through the flaps.
When Scarlamange took off the platter, he was very irritated. "Crab again? We're in a forest. There's fruit and vegetables everywhere!"
"All I'm asking is for you to completely change your heart and tell them that you're honestly sorry for everything you've done." Kipo told him.
"I don't know. Sounds like a whole thing. People tend not to forgive someone who tried to pour molten gold on them." Scarlamange said, sarcastically.
Thor raised an eyebrow.
Kipo sighed=, before walking away.
Wolf did a 'I'm watching you' sign, before following. Thor followed suit.
Kipo sighed. "Am I crazy to try?"
"No!" The other two cried.
"Yes." Called Scarlamange.
"Scarlamange's wrong And if there's anyone who can prove it, it's you."
Hugo sniffed his Crab, and cried; "I'm not eating this! The smell of the sea revolts me!"
Kipo let out a sigh, and went down with Wolf.
Thor went up, and put down his hammer. "You remind me of someone, you know."
"Really? I very much would like to know!" Scarlamange snapped, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
"My brother." Said Thor. "Well, Adoptive brother. He turned into a villain due to some mistakes on his adoptive parent's behalf. Well, one of them. He shrugged. "I have had a complicated life."
The Baboon was actually listening now.
"I tried to bring him back to the side of good... but he would not listen. He would not change. Not until our mother died." Thor's voice broke.
He sighed. "He redeemed himself. Eventually. He sacrificed his life for the universe I came from."
"Why are you telling me this?" Asked Hugo.
Thor sighed. "Because you remind me so much of him." With that, the god of Thunder walked away, leaving the ex-dictator behind in his cell, with plenty to think about.
...
Wolf walked on the forest floor. She thought she heard something. She looked around. A bird mute flew past.
She took a step...
And found herself in a snare trap!
She saw a young wolf Mute come out of the a bush.
"I hear you go by "Wolf" Now." Said the girl.
...
Bruce was cooking flapjacks with Lio.
"Aaah... I should try cooking more often. It's so peaceful." He smiled.
"Yeah." Chuckled Lio. "It is."
Clint walked in. "Everything okay?"
"Yeah." Nodded Lio. "We're just making some flapjacks." He gestured to the bowl of mixture on the side.
Clint paused, and decided to ask a question. "Hey, back in the 21st century, were we there in this dimension? Emelia recognised us, and I heard really accurate facts about us from the crowd of Humans."
Lio paused. "You might want to take a look at this." He said. "I found these near an old store a few weeks ago."
He walked over to a large box, and threw open the lid.
Inside was magazines, newspapers. All with dates of 2020 on them.
Clint picked one that had half torn off up. It read; 'AVENGERS FALLEN!'
Clint read through it:
'As the Mute Apocalypse has spread, the Avengers, despite efforts, have failed to contain the virus that have turned animals sentient. On Tuesday the 21st July, of this year, they were killed by unknown forces, most likely mutes. Many humans have suggested going into caverns to keep the human race alive, but the White House say that 'They will beat back the Apocolypse with ease. The Government-'
It ended there.
Clint dropped the newspaper. Bruce slowly put down another newspaper, a look of utter shock on his face.
Lio sighed. "I know how it must feel-"
Before he could continue, a yell of pure rage was sounded from outside.
...
Wolf chased Margot around the forest floor.
Cap noticed what was going on, and realised something.
Wolf was moving in for the kill.
He couldn't have that.
As the chase went onto the ball of yarn, Cap jumped in front of Wolf.
"Kid, what-" The Warrior went in between his legs, and continued chasing Margot yelling; "She's mine!"
Cap continued chasing them, ignoring Kipo's questions and statements. He had just caught up to Margot when they jumped onto some more balls of yarn.
As they jumped onto another, Margot cut the line holding them up.
They landed in a bush, and on a large bird Mute.
The creature flew up, taking them with it.
As it broke the treetops, Wolf and Margot continued fighting.
"What, did you come to finish the job you started five years ago?" Demanded Wolf, throwing a punch and a double kick.
Margot dodged, and replied "I just wanna talk!"
Wolf threw another punch. "Talk? You don't know me very well."
Wolf made to throw herself at the girl, when Cap grabbed them both by the scruffs of the neck.
"Let me go!" Wolf roared, kicking Cap in the face.
He did not let go, instead, he asked "Why do you wanna kill this girl in the first place?"
Wolf let out a deep breath. Her anger had not subsided, but she could focus on explaining.
When the bird landed, she explained.
"Okay, we were best friends when we were five. We were raised by Wolf Mutes." She told Cap "Turns out the Wolves raised me just to have a 'Prey with a strength'." She growled. "And guess who joined them?"
Cap stared at Margot.
"Now can I kill her?" Wolf asked.
"No." Replied Cap, bluntly. He turned to Margot. "Why did you come here, kid?"
"I- I need your help." She stammered.
...
I'm gonna end it there! I'm gonna try to make updates more consistent.
