"Niklaus. I think we should go inside. You took a nice tumble over the railing last night." Elijah stands up.

Looking at the scenery and he doesn't find many regrets for coming out here. His husband on the other hand looks like the sun itself is out to get him.

Which is a little funny. Because it's definitely not applicable to wolves.

It is unfortunate, kind of off putting that they don't really get along.

True they know each other well outside of gossip and whatever the hell last night was.

But Elijah had always assumed things would be different. Easy from the get go even.

His parents had made it seem effortless. He thinks he knows a little better now.

"Had I not been so busy fearing for your life and mental state. I might have thought you absolutely wild."

He gives him a brief smile. It's perfectly polite. Trying here. This is new to him too. Leaving him thinking.

Wondering why should he be the only one putting in all the effort.

Removing some leaves and grime from his hair.

Walking ahead of him towards the Castle. He tried looking for some doors or another entrance but found none so far.

"We have got a couple of ways to do this but I think the quickest would be for me to just climb up. I can give you a ride."

Klaus huffs out the words 'yeah right' even though that idea doesn't sound all that half baked.

He refuses to concede however at least not without giving it a shot first.

Backing up a couple of steps he runs straight for the wall. Expecting to either crash face first or to finally get somewhere.

He goes for it. Measuring his steps. Seeing where he wants to go. And it doesn't look great when he falls.

So he does it again. And again. Finally a third time.

Then a fourth. Elijah looks at him in awe and like he wants to either laugh or say something but he keeps whatever it is he wants to say or do to himself.

He growls something deep. He gets up by sheer power of will. His anger a good starting point.

His eyes flashing gold. Determination, his completely.

Claws extending and his fingers really dig in there and it kind of hurts but he's making progress. Moving quickly as he scales his way up.

Trying to be careful as he figures out his footing. Gaining some altitude as the momentum builds.

He's really gonna go for it. Closer now to the railing he thinks he can leap and survive.

Elijah not far behind him. Showing off apparently because he had been on the ground moments prior.

Damn vampires and their cool ways. He almost looks graceful. Like a spider. It is a little disheartening how much Nik wants to see him look down at him from this angle.

.

"I took it into account. You're not the one with a bloody nose. Don't worry about me." Niklaus had chanced it. And had stuck the landing for the most part.

Then he'd turned to walk to wrong way and tripped on air apparently. He cannot see the first culprit of his injury.

He had bumped into a table and here he is. On his knees. Mad at himself because this is what got him.

And the Prince is suddenly next to him. Kneeling beside him one instant only to be gone the next.

Some blood dripping from his nose and into his mouth and he moved to curse his luck.

Doing his best to keep it together with his hand. It's not working but pride is not something he will ever drop.

"Here." When Elijah returned it is with a beautiful bathrobe and more importantly a small stack of handkerchiefs along with a bowl of water. "I can't believe you are expected to a nation."

He hands both over and walks away again. Not quick enough this time for Niklaus to not see what's happening.

The whole battle of or with his inner beast. Begging him to feed.

Serves him right. Judgmental bastard.

He stopped him from leaving by calling out the words.

His voice a little softer. In a way that said he was putting in an effort but wasn't yet ready to go all in.

"It's probably a good thing that you are here to help me then. You have since we met. I can acknowledge that."

Nik gets to work on cleaning himself up. He, they have a crowd-his Kingdom then subsequently the world to address.
