Chap 9:
The late afternoon came as Sakura laid in the bed and as Kakashi sat at his dining drink a cup of tea. Ino had come over to speak about last night at the birthday party.
"Kakashi, what are we going to do? Sasuke has been beating her. She told me not to tell Hokage-sama but I will tell someone." Ino exclaimed as she drank her cup of tea.
"I know… I hope she moves on before it turns fatal." He sighed as he looked at the bedroom where Sakura was sleeping and immediately turned to the door when they heard 3 aggressive knocks.
Kakashi rolled his eyes, knowing it could be only one person. "Ino stay here, I will be back."
He stood up and walked towards the door, and greeted Sasuke.
"How can I help you, Sasuke?" Kakashi asked nonchalantly as he placed his hands in his pockets.
"I'm here to get Sakura… I heard she came here for the night." Sasuke replied, crossing his arms, awaiting permission to enter the house.
"Come in, she is asleep and we need to talk." Kakashi moved to the side, letting Sasuke in the house. "Have a seat."
"I prefer to stand." Sasuke snarled as he stared at Ino.
"Sasuke, why don't you Sakura alone and you can go wander off in the wilderness, never to return." Ino stated as she stood from her seat to join the men.
"Sakura is never going to leave me. So if you don't mind, I will need you to wake up Sakura, so I can take my wife home." Sasuke stared at Kakashi, to gauge his reaction.
Kakashi stepped closer to Sasuke, "Well, I am sorry. I can't let that happen. I will have to step in since you caused that huge scene at the lounge. You need to leave until you can get some help for your little problem."
"I don't have a problem!" Sasuke yelled, causing Ino to flinch.
"Yes you do. Even now, I can smell the alcohol and you can't even keep your cool."
"Hey guys, what is going on?" Sakura asked as she rubbed her eyes, wearing one of Kakashi's shirts.
Seeing his wife wearing Kakashi's shirt enraged him, causing him to run towards her lifting his hand up to strike. Sakura screamed and lifted her hands up to block until she realized Kakashi was in front of her holding Sasuke fist.
"You need to leave, and now that I have witnessed first hand, I can't let my fellow comrade return to danger." Kakashi threw Sasuke on the ground and glanced over his shoulder as he noticed Sakura trembling in fear.
"Sakura!" Ino yelled as she ran towards her, holding her. "It's going to be okay. We will not let you go back to him."
Sasuke glared up at Sakura, "So you are going to be disobedient to your husband!" He yelled, catching her attention. He stood up, "Stop playing these games and come home with me now!"
Sakura wanted to stay with Kakashi but the fear of what would happen to her and Kakashi took over her mind. She loved Kakashi and she knew Sasuke was crazy to use any means necessary to kill Kakashi. Even if this means being in pain forever.
Sakura removed herself from Ino's grasp and stepped towards Sasuke and Kakashi, "It's okay Kakashi, I guess I'm not meant to be happy." She placed a hand on Kakashi's arm, "Thanks but I can't risk your life."
Kakashi's eyes widened in disbelief, "You can't be serious. This is about your safety at this point."
"I will be fine." She responded as she removed her hand away from his arm.
Kakashi couldn't hold his emotions in anymore and grabbed Sakura's hand, "I am not going to let you be a martyr. I can't stand by and watch you kill yourself… for what… LOYALTY!"
Sasuke smirked as he knew Sakura would always come back to him. Even through the beatings, she was foolish enough to think he would change. He wanted to see her break, he wanted to control her. He loved that he had the strongest Konichi at his beckon call, and having her blinded by this one sided affair. He wanted to control her, he loved that he owns her.
Kakashi did not let go of hand but pulled her closer to him, "Please Sakura, think about yourself for once, save yourself."
"Yes, please just stay here. You will be safer." Ino pleaded as she stepped closer to her best friend.
Sasuke smirked, "You ready Sakura?"
Ino growled, "No she is not going anywhere with you!"
Kakashi couldn't take this anymore, his emotions were taking control, "Sakura, I can't stand by and be okay with this. I can't take you coming to me, crying in physical and mental pain because of what your so-called husband did to is affecting everyone, all we want is for you to be safe."
Sakura lowered her head and sighed, "I'm sorry Kakashi, I have to go." She removed her hand and turned towards Sasuke and started to walk off.
Kakashi felt his heart ripped out of his chest, the night that they cherish was that all for nothing. "Sakura….If you leave, I can't promise I will always be here. I can't take it anymore."
Sasuke grabbed his wife, "Oh don't worry, she won't be coming to see you again." He soon walked with Sakura out the door, slamming it behind them.
"Kakashi… what are we going to do?" Ino asked as she tried to hold the tears from her eyes.
Kakashi stood there in silence before punching the wall in frustration.
"Kakashi…" Ino whispered as she went to him and held him in her arms. She never saw the great copy ninja lose his cool. He was always to the epitome of strength and control but today he couldn't hide his true emotions. She soon felt wetness on her shirt from his tears. "Kakashi, I promise we will get her back." She rubbed his back. "I promise."
