I will try to add some flashbacks of ACP and Abhi infact it was supposed to be there in this chapter but * sigh * I forgot the idea which I thought for it and abhi tak voh yaad nahi aaya mujhe * facepalm *
And Abhijeet would be injured in the next chapters tabhi to Adi ki re-entry hogi, mein bore ho rahi hu uske bina ^_^

Chapter 10
Two days had passed normally. Abhijeet was quite busy with the case and didn't go to the bureau. ACP was growing more and more restless because of Abhijeet's increasing closeness with DIG Keshav and not visiting him even once…
One Afternoon at the CID Bureau:
The officers had taken a little coffee break in midst of their works while chatting lightly…
Freddy sadly: Sir, Abhijeet sir toh bhool hi gaye hai hume…do dino se unko dekha tak nahi
Daya sighing: Abhi sachme bahot busy hai Freddy…mein to ghar me hoke usse nahi mil paata…hamesha bahar rehta hai kaam se aur raat ko kaafi late ho jaata hai
Everyone just nodded slightly in agreement…
ACP was idly sitting in his cabin, not idle actually as he had piles of work to do but just wasn't able to make himself complete it. He just allowed his head to fall leisurely on the headrest and his eyes scan the whole bureau, aimlessly scrutinizing each corner and getting astonished that how lifeless the bureau looked just without one person not showing up for mere two days. But of course, that one person was someone without whom the CID team would just end up becoming a trivial group of official people and lose the family bond they are sharing now, and this bureau of theirs which is like a second home would become just a huge structure of cement and concrete like other buildings in the town.
He thought, how these mere two days have already made him restless as if he hasn't seen him for twice a decade. His eyes wandered and finally rested at the letterhead kept on the table showing that Senior Inspector Abhijeet would be officially working in the Headquarters for tentatively 65 days. He sighed exasperated, 63 days to go, Tentatively!
He kept sitting in the same position fixing his eyes at an indefinite point for quite a while, fidgeting with his thoughts that if he'll not see Abhijeet at least once maximum by tomorrow, then how will he control himself to blurt out his anger on DIG Keshav.
After some moments his eyes traveled back to the main hall sensing a sudden wave of liveliness. Seeing in the direction where his officers have sprung, his lips curved into a sweet-soothing smile seeing Abhijeet there meeting all the officers. He also stood up and went out…
Freddy complainingly: Sir aapne kaha tha ki aap milne aayenge lekin do dino me ek bhi baar nahi aaye
Abhijeet sighed in a smile: Yarr Freddy sirf hum do log hai case pe sabkuch khud hi karna padta hai bass isiliye nahi aaya paaya dono din
ACP in a smile and concern: Abhijeet kaisa jaa raha hai case ? koi to chot nahi lagi ?
Abhijeet in a slight smile: Nahi sir koi chot nahi lagi aur case bhi chal hi raha hai dheere dheere…
Daya hiding his naughtiness said in a carefree tone: Aree sir Abhi ki tension lene ki zaroorat hi nahi hai bilkul ( stressing lightly ) Keshav sir ( stretched a bit ) kitne caring hai… haina Abhi ( Abhijeet nodded with a smile )
ACP frowned in irritation and jerked his head in frustration while Daya hides his smile…
Pankaj: Sir vaise naye DIG sahab hai sahi me bade achche hai…
Freddy making a face: Ha sir kam se kam DCP sahab jaise to nahi hai na
ACP clutched his fists in anger murmuring: Ha ha mein to uss DCP ka saga rishtedaar hu na jo uss ki tarah hu…
Daya was standing just beside him and covered his mouth to control bursting into laughter hearing this murmur.
Abhijeet in a small smile: Keshav sir achche to bahot hai lekin ek afsos ki baat hai
All confused while ACP murmured: Unka hona hi pura afsos hai
Daya just turned his face another side while pressing his hand tightly against his mouth and dare not to burst out in laugh.
Rajat confused: Kaisa afsos sir ?
Abhijeet sighing: Sir sirf iss case ke liye hi aaye hai uske baad chale jayenge vapas Delhi…
ACP sir's face brightened with happiness hearing this and a broad smile came over his lips while everyone became sad…
Pankaj sadly: Sir Keshav sir yahi nahi ruk sakte kya ?
ACP annoyed ( pov ) : Iss Pankaj ko mein Delhi bhej deta hu rahega firr unke saath hi…
Abhijeet in a sad smile: Nahi Pankaj meine bhi unko kaafi samjhaya par voh iss case ke baad chale jayenge…
Everyone just nodded sadly while ACP's face was showing that he couldn't anytime start dancing after knowing this.
Daya looked at him and decided to tease a bit so cleared his throat and said in a cheerful tone: Toh boss hum log na unke liye ek badiya si party rakhenge iss case ke baad…kya bolte ho
The team nodded happily and Abhijeet also nodded in a smile.
ACP happily ( pov ) : Ha ha karo party farewell jo hoga unka yaha se bhi aur Abhijeet ko bhi choddenge yaha chein se…
Daya hiding his smile said further: Aur boss tum bata rahe the ki Keshav sir kaafi busy the pichle dino toh case ke baad tumna vahi chale jaana unke paas kuch din unko achcha lagega…
Abhijeet smiled while ACP shocked
Pankaj happily: Ha sir yeh
ACP interrupted angrily: Koi kaam nahi hai kya kisi ko jo faltu timepass kare jaa rahe ho haan ( All surprised on the sudden anger but bowed their head down while he added stiffly ) Vapas apni apni desks pe jaao bahot kaam hai
All nodded and went back to their desks while Daya just sighed and went to his desk. Abhijeet confused but went to the record room for some work.
ACP looked at everyone's fallen faces ( pov ) in frustration: Aree yarr yeh DIG Keshav ka gussa meine inpe kyu nikal diya ( jerked his head ) Tch Abhijeet aaya tha tab bhi daat diya sabko
He sighed in frustration and noticed Abhijeet finding among some files in the record room…he smiled a bit and went there. Only he knows how much he missed him in the bureau especially while going to the forensics and he is sure that the old doctor misses him too but just say it in a tease like " Unn sahabzyade ke bina kitni shanti hai lab me aajkal ".
He stood at the door frame seeing his son who he knows was really busy nowadays and the danger looming over his head twenty-four hours was just as threatening for him as casual it was for his son, and his this casual attitude regarding himself is what which is more dangerous!
He doesn't know what to talk about and hence stood there silently thinking that another time he misses him the most was when he used to glance at the main hall from his cabin and couldn't see his son there. That was of course the toughest time to control dialing his number right then and order him to come in front of him right now.
He sighed but remained the same and reminded of the instances when he really missed his son and realized that was the case every single time.
He missed him every time he used to arrive at the bureau but couldn't see his son's face.
He missed him every time when others wished him morning but he didn't receive a particular greeting.
He missed him every time at the crime scenes while interrogating people or finding the evidence.
He sighed, and it was just two days gone. It wasn't the first time though, Abhijeet had gone for month-long missions yet this time he is getting more restless with the fact that it was the first time Abhijeet is in Mumbai itself yet haven't come to the bureau. And yes deep down he also has the fear that might DIG Keshav manipulate Abhijeet against him taking the advantage of the dozen mistakes he had made, and this fear was just killing him inside.
It has to a certain extent become a part of his daily routine to spend hours thinking of the same and find ways to bring his son back. He thought many times to just go and hug him telling that he loves him and the guilt of hurting him repeatedly is just sipping inside him. He sometimes even wished for a MAGIC WAND that would bring his son to him and just secure him forever with himself.
He chuckled at this thought and by this attracted the gaze of his son…
Abhijeet looked up from the file and said a bit surprised: Sir aap…aapko koi file chahiye thi kya ? Mein dhund ke du ?
ACP jerked lightly and absent-mindedly said: Ha voh ( not getting what to say he composed then said in a smile ) Abhijeet voh to mein aise hi baat karne aaya tha tumse…
Abhijeet confused: Kya hua sir kisi file me problem hai kya ? Ya koi case…mein Daya se ek baar puch
ACP interrupted in a bit of irritation: Abhijeet sirf yeh baate nahi hoti hai mujhe koi aur zaroori baat karni hai
Abhijeet confused but nodded slightly.
ACP inhaled deeply mustering up his courage to talk and clear the things there and then so that any third person couldn't take the advantage of this prolonging distances between them.
ACP hesitantly: Voh Abhijeet mein
Before he continues, Abhijeet's phone rang but he instantly silenced it without even looking at the ID and again looked at him with all his attention. ACP felt really good and soothing with this gesture of his but still, he was hesitant to talk, and seeing the continuous gaze upon himself, he felt it wasn't the right time to talk regarding it as they were in the bureau still surrounded by the people.
ACP clearing his throat made his voice firm: Ha mein puch raha tha ki tum jis case pe kaam kar rahe ho usme tumhe bhi sambhal kar rehna hai…tumhari jaan ko khatra hai maloom haina
Unknowingly a slight and a bit rueful smile came over Abhijeet's face and he answered silently: Jii sir mein sambhlke rahunga
ACP just looked at his face for a moment then silently averted his gaze. At that time there was some commotion in the bureau and both looked at the main hall when saw DIG Keshav there. Abhijeet looked satisfied and a relieved smile came on his lips while ACP sighed in frustration.
ACP ( pov ) in frustration: Itna toh aaj tak DCP ne dimag kharab nahi kiya jitna yeh karte hai…dus minute hue nahi hai Abhijeet ko aaye hue ki aagaye peeche…
And yes, he just forgot to remember that if he had a magic wand then he would have even vanished this DIG Keshav forever!
He was grumbling under teeth when jerked a bit by Abhijeet's voice who was confused with the frown that affixed ACP's face and seeing him not showing any interest in going or letting him go to the main hall, so he interrupted a bit hesitantly as,
Abhijeet: Sir Keshav sir aaye hai shayad koi kaam hai aapse…
ACP unable to hide his annoyance: Tumhare alawa kisse kaam hota hai unko tumhe lene aaye honge…
Abhijeet confused: Nahi sir mein to ab tak unke ghar
He stops in mid seeing the fiery glance from ACP sir and got more confused thinking what he has done to achieve it but before he asks ACP went out with fast steps while Abhijeet shrugged once and followed him.
At the main hall;
DIG seeing Abhijeet asked in disappointment as: Abhijeet tum phone kyu nahi utha rahe the mera?
Abhijeet confused and checked his phone when saw two missed calls of his, he bites his tongue realizing that the call he just dodged was from DIG sir. While a smirk came over ACP's face realizing the same thing too…
Abhijeet clearing his throat: Sir voh dekhi nahi pehele meine calls…kuch kaam tha kya aapko?
DIG shook his head: Tha lekin voh ho gaya ab pareshan matt ho…
Abhijeet nodded while ACP hiding his smirk asked in a fake smile: Sir aap yaha kuch kaam tha kya humse?
DIG glancing at Abhijeet nodded: Ha kuch zaroori baat karni thi cabin me chale
ACP nodded a bit confused: Jii sir aaiye…
Both went towards the cabin while the team resumed their works.
At the Cabin;
Both grabbed their seats and DIG took out an envelope from his coat and handed it to ACP with complete silence.
ACP looked at him in confusion but he silently indicated to open the envelope.
ACP confusingly opened the envelope and read the letter but got shocked reading it.

So what would be there in the envelope which shocked ACP?
And guys don't worry Abhi ka outburst bhi hoga, uske bina story kaise khatam hogi lekin voh thode chapters ke baad. Keshav and ACP sir ki bhi cold war shuru hone wali hai jisme bechara Abhi pisne wala hai so stay tuned.
And I know yarr LR's target is completed but I began writing this as many requests were coming to update this, so LR's update would be in some days.
