Unfinished Chapter 8 (I bailed a third of the way through).
Since I stopped working on this story, I decided to include my notes and story planning for this fic. It basically has the summaries for each chapter I was planning to write, as well as some other plot points. Some other stuff you guys might find interesting as well. All of this is at the bottom, after the unfinished chapter.
If you want to thank someone for causing me to post this, thank the Guest who sent this:
":OK I'm not against the idea of you writing other stories, if that's what you want to do then no-one has the right to discourage you... BUT I don't like the idea of someone posting an update to announce a different story that doesn't even come with a chapter. I was seriously looking forward to your next chapter and you've blue balled your audience"
I couldn't agree more, so I'm posting this. Hope you enjoy it or find it to be interesting.
Chapter 8
Harrison was awoken one fine Saturday morning by an alarm he had placed upon his wand. It was a rather useful creation, as Harrison had come to realize. Unfortunately, he was also beginning to realize that there were some spells that could only be achieved with a wand; this was one of them, much to Harrison's dismay.
"Tempus." whispered Harrison, watching as a green glow formed the time 4:45. He had woken up just on time, which was very convenient for him; there was not a moment to waste. He quickly got out of bed, dressing himself in his Slytherin school robes. Once dressed, he silently exited his dormitory, tiptoeing towards the common room.
Today was November twenty-fourth, the last Saturday before December. It also happened to be the day of the first quidditch match of the season, Gryffindor vs Slytherin. The match was the reason for why Harrison had woken up so early; he had a lot he wanted to do, with little time to accomplish it. He probably could have managed his time a little better, but he had only just remembered a few things, and was eager to try them out. He wasn't willing to wait another day to try them.
The grounds were now covered in snow, resulting in the need for scarfs, as well as thicker robes. Several of the first year students had learnt basic heating charms from Professor Flitwick, allowing them protection from the cold.
Unfortunately for most, charm was only taught to people Flitwick deemed advanced enough to learn it, meaning that only Harrison, Zoe, Hermione, Daphne, and Nott had been taught the spell in their class. Had they shared charms with the Ravenclaws, Harrison would have expected the number to be higher. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
Harrison had been pleased to hear from his parents that he was first in almost every single class. Transfiguration, Charms, Defense, Potions, and even Flying were all dominated by him. Both his mother and father expressed their pleasure at his skill, much to Zoe's annoyance. He thought back to that day as he made his way to the common room.
Harrison knocked on the old wooden door marking the entrance to Lily Potter's office. It was the place where the Potters had been holding their Saturday Lunches for the past year. Unfortunately for Harrison, Lily was the Arithmancy teacher, and as her office was connected to her classroom, that meant Harrison had to walk almost the entire length of the school to get there. Not only was it a tower while his dorm was in the dungeons, but it was in the furthest wing as well.
The door swung open, revealing a cheerful Rose Potter. She quickly dragged Harrison into the room, shutting the door as they went. The two of them made their way to the table, where both James and Lily were already seated, as well as a slightly annoyed Zoe.
"So what? I'm still getting near perfect scores! How does it matter if I'm getting seventh in my year? My scores are near perfect!" she cried, before turning to the entrance. Her eyes narrowed as she saw who had walked into the room, before turning back to her parents.
Both James and Lily turned to where their daughter had looked, and upon seeing Harrison, Lily shot out of her seat, wrapping her son in a hug. She led him and Rose to their own seats, before turning back to Zoe.
"That doesn't matter Zoe. Your future employers will not only see your scores, but how high you rank." said Lily in a tired voice.
Zoe scoffed loudly. "I'm the girl-who-lived, they'll be on their knees trying to employ me!"
"Not with that attitude, they won't."
Harrison only just realized what they were discussing. Looking up from his meal, he turned to his mother.
"I thought we could only see grades at the end of each school year?" he asked, lifting his spoon to his mouth.
"In most cases that's true, but we're Professors; we have access to your grades." said Lily, before pointing to three envelopes that lay on the table, two of which were opened.
"Rose and Zoe seem to be doing well enough. What about you?" she asked, picking up the envelope.
Harrison shrugged. In all honesty, he wasn't sure. He was fairly confident that he was first in most classes, but at the same time he knew that there was no way he could be first in all of them. He wasn't especially good at Herbology, he had never been good with plants that had teeth. He didn't excel in History of Magic either; half the time he found himself drifting off to sleep. As for astronomy, it was fairly hard to focus in that class. Professor Quirrell had taken to observing him at almost every opportunity. The only person he looked at nearly as much was Zoe, although that probably shouldn't be surprising.
He also might have lost points in Transfiguration. He had finally gotten decent at using a wand, and as far as he could tell was now fairly competent with it. At the very least, he could do basic spells to a level almost on par with his wandless ability. There was still a chance that he might have done something wrong, however, and he wouldn't have put it past McGonagall to notice it.
Harrison watched as Lily dragged the envelope near her, slitting the opening with her knife. She pulled out a paper from within, before unfolding it. For a few seconds, she looked up and down the paper, her eyes wider than galleons. She then turned to Zoe, holding Harrison's grades mere inches away from the young girl's face.
"He's first in five out of eight subjects! He barely even spends time studying! He just messes around with his friends on the grounds or the library, we've seen him!" said Lily, glaring at her youngest daughter, who in turn was glaring at Harrison.
Harrison chortled to himself as he arrived at the Slytherin Common Room. To be fair, he probably wouldn't be first if he had been subjected to the proper school curriculum. He had been perfectly performing in most of his classes, resulting in the teachers abstaining from giving him homework. Had he been given more homework to complete, he doubted he would be as high up as he was; he had never been good with essays, or writing for that matter.
Harrison quickly inspected the common room, triple checking that it was empty. He quickly turned to the underwater windows, which glowed faintly. 'The lesser the glow, the darker it is outside.' thought Harrison, before quickly scrambling out of the door leading out of the common room.
Harrison quietly snuck through the hallway, every now and then checking that he was not being followed. He was fairly certain that he wasn't allowed to be out this early in the morning; Filch would do everything in his power to land Harrison in detention if he were caught. Harrison's control over the castle could allow him to control doors and stairs, as well as many other things, but he couldn't exactly make himself invisible to Filch. Fortunately, Harrison had found a way to almost always sneak around the castle without getting caught. Peeves.
Peeves had been at the school all the way back when Harrison was being raised by the founders. He had originally been brought into the castle by Godric, as a way to annoy Salazar while he was studying. Harrison had been fairly shocked when he had seen Peeves again, as had Peeves. After quickly explaining what had happened to Peeves, Harrison was shocked yet surprised when Peeves promised to help Harrison cause trouble. Peeves never took orders from anyone, not even the founders.
Harrison made his way over to a wall on the seventh floor opposite a tapestry of a wizard teaching trolls ballet. He quickly walked up and down the hall, focusing upon a room where he could learn magic. After his third lap, Harrison stopped in front of the wall, watching as the bricks pushed apart, making way for a wooden door.
Smirking, Harrison pulled the brass handle of the door wide open, stepping inside. He stopped half way through the door, his mouth wide open. He had just entered one of the most beautiful rooms he had ever seen. The ceiling, walls, and floor were made of glass, allowing Harrison to see through all of them. They somehow bypassed the bricks just beside them, allowing Harrison to see all the rooms surrounding him, as well as those who would happen to walk past.
Dozens of bookshelves were placed in the center of the room, each shelf holding thousands of books on every subject imaginable: Dueling, Transfiguration, Conjuring, and so much more. There was even an empty space filled with dummies which could be used for dueling, as well as practicing spells.
"Bloody brilliant." said Harrison aloud, sweeping through the bookshelves. He stayed for a while, testing and trying out everything he could find. It was only when he realized that several hours had passed that he got up from the table he had been sitting at. He still had one more place he wanted to visit.
He strode out of the Room of Requirement, hastily closing the door behind him. The last thing he needed was for everyone in the school to discover the room.
Harrison quickly made his way down to the second floor, returning greetings to everyone that wished him good luck in the upcoming match. He eventually stopped outside a girl's bathroom, checking the halls to make sure nobody else was around.
'Leave it to Salazar to put the entrance in a Girl's Lavatory. What the hell is wrong with him?' thought Harrison, silently slipping through the door. After quickly casting a revealing charm that showed he was alone in the bathroom, he walked over to the sinks, which were in a circle around a pillar in the center of the lavatory. Finding the correct sink, he traced his fingers over a small metal serpent that was wrapped around the water tap.
"Open." he hissed, listening to the sound of his Parseltounge. Harrison stepped aside, watching as the pillar split into several parts, forming a small gap in which he could fit through.

IMPORTANT STORY INFO & BACKSTORY:
- Merlin & Morgana duel soon after HP leaves their time. Morgana is about to lose the fight, so she makes Horcrux. Something goes wrong with the process, creating a Horcrux for both Merlin and Morgana. Neither of them know what the Horcrux is, but they do know that they are sharing a Horcrux. Neither are able to die, so they created false names for every time they live in. Eventually they reach the time in which Harry is from. In that time, the name Morgana goes by is Bellatrix Lestrange, and the name Merlin goes by is Albus Dumbledore.
- Lady Magic, Lady Tenebris, and Lady Lux are three sisters, representing certain parts of magic. Lady Magic, as the balance, is allowed to have one child (Harry). Lady Lux and Lady Tenebris, light and dark, are not allowed to have children as it would upset the balance. Lady Lux uses her powerful intent to break through the laws of magic and have a daughter. Since the laws of magic were broken, the magic of Lady Lux refused to connect to her daughter, making her practically normal, although she did receive the beauty traits of the ancient magical family.
- When Magic (As well as Lux and Tenebris) have children, the child is not born to them. They are birthed by normal parents, though the child of Magic has exceptional powers (Lux and Tenebris children won't be exceptionally powerful because they aren't supposed to be born in the first place). At some point in their lives, the children of magic can be claimed by Magic, Lux, or Tenebris, which can be done by a blood potion. This will fully awaken their magic, as well as giving the child the looks and characteristics of the family (Lux's daughter only got the looks and characteristics, as would any child of Tenebris).
- Harry Potter is the child of Lady Magic. He was birthed by Lily and James Potter. He was later claimed by Magic, fully awakening his power. Apolline Delacour is the daughter of Lux. As she was born purely through intent, she never received the power of the family. At some point in her younger life, she was given a blood potion by Lux. She has a basic knowledge of the magical family, although not much. Lux barely could spend any time with Apolline, as she had already broken the ancient magical laws to birth Apolline, leaving her in a weakened state. She only saw Apolline a few times for only a few moments, though she has watched Apolline from afar for almost all her life.
- In this magical world, intent and belief are incredibly powerful. Those with strong intent and belief can use those to their advantage within magic, shown by how Tracey spoke of witches who became heirs of their husband's families through pure belief and intent.
- Nothing can bring back the dead. The magical war is happening because Lux is in a somewhat weakened state, using a lot of her energy to forcefully birth Apolline. She was able to hide her weakened form from Tenebris, though she found out. When she found out, Tenebris started the war in an attempt to have dark magic take over. Lux eventually grows back her power, though the war still continues.
- The magical being with more followers has more power (When there are more light wizards, Lux gains power, when there is magical balance Magic gains power, etc.). The war is fought because Tenebris attempts to gain power. The three magical beings can only die when they have barely any followers, which weakens them, causing them to become mortal. When one of the three dies, they can never come back. If the balance of light and dark magic is broken, Magic dies. If Magic dies, there will never be magical balance again. (If Lux dies, there will no longer be light magic, if Tenebris dies, there will no longer be dark magic.

7. Goes over the next few weeks at Hogwarts in vague detail. Harrison has lunch with his biological family on Saturdays. He has a flying lesson in which he demonstrates great skill, placing him on the Quidditch team. Because there has been an exception to the first year rule, Zoe is allowed onto her team as well. He also meets with Merlin, in which he learns a bit about Magic and her family, as well as Voldemort. During the Halloween feast, Harrison and his friends hear of death eater attacks in France. When they are in public they continue to be rude to each other.
11. Harrison experiments with the castle, and works on his powers. Luna writes to Harrison, informing him that something important is about to happen, and that he must keep his eyes open. Harrison soon learns that two other British wizarding schools, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, were targeted by Death Eaters, who are attempting to cause panic. Wizards from both of the schools board of governors are to be observing Hogwarts to see if in a few years they can transfer their students to the school, as it is predicted by that time the schools will be too dangerous to remain in operation.
12. Death Eaters continue to hold raids simply for the fun of it. One of the raids is in a muggle village near Ottery St. Catchpole. It is believed that the Lovegoods were killed. Merlin allows Harrison to take a portkey to his mother Morgana. The two of them venture to Ottery St. Catchpole, where they see Luna sitting outside the ruins of her house. Morgana welcomes a new member into the Lestrange family, Luna Lestrange.
13. Harrison and his friends discover the Sorcerer's Stone when over hearing Zoe and Ron talk about it in passing. That night, Harrison and his friends go to protect the stone when Harrison realizes Merlin is gone, only to find Zoe, Ron, and Hermione doing the same. Together they break through the many defenses protecting the stone.
14. Harrison and Zoe are the only remaining students who passed the stone's defenses. The two of them fight with Quirrell, as foreseen in Luna's dream. Lord Voldemort reveals himself from the back of Quirrell's head. Zoe is confused when she realizes that Voldemort is speaking to Harrison, not her. Together they both manage to defeat Quirrell.
15. Harrison and Zoe wake up back in the hospital wing. They talk to Merlin, who hints at what Zoe is, and what the future will hold for Harrison. Afterwards the Hogwarts End of Year Feast is held. Harrison returns to Lestrange Manor.
