The Son of Vergil drove down the road in his RV, the side of it having a neon sign that lit up to read 'Devil May Cry'.

Nero looked to his devil bringer hand every so often, struggling to get used to it as it remained on the wheel. His mind had been plagued by many thoughts, and this was only one of the smallest. He had accepted his mother's death long ago now, but that hasn't made it easier for the young man.
The incident with his father he pretended to not even care about, but deep down, he did to some extent. All he had at this point was his uncle.

Shaking his head and sighing, the young devil hunter put all focus back on the road as he began to think on the mission. Nothing special. Just a few devils near Dante's establishment.
Business has picked up lately, oddly enough. Not by a lot, but enough to be strange. It was almost as if demons were getting more common with each passing day.

Nero halted the vehicle slowly, forcing it to stop in front of a bar. Supposedly, this was where the devils lurked, taking humans that would go inside.
The son of Vergil grabbed the Red Queen, placing it onto his back before making sure the Blue Rose was within his coat. He shut the door, approaching the bar soon after to step inside.

Once inside, Nero lowered the sleeve of his new, dark blue coat to cover his demonic hand. He hoped to catch the devils in the act, taking a seat at the bar and looking around.

Soon enough, a man approached him, the bartender. "What can I get you?"

"Whatever's got the most alcohol in it." his blue eyes focused on the barkeep.

"Uh..." he paused, looking over the young man. "Are you old enough to be drinking?"

Sighing, Nero leaned forward. "Just get me a damn drink."

The bartender nodded, a hint of nervousness being clear as he began to stutter, barely getting out "Coming right up."

The devil hunter leaned back then, his eyes closing as he began to wait. He wouldn't be waiting for the drink, but for what came next.

The bartender sheded his human disguise in an instant, revealing a reptilian like devil that stood taller than a man, and had large claws.
Without even a sound, it leapt at Nero, bringing it's claws down onto him.

Lifting the devil bringer, Nero caught the devil by the tail, using his demonic hand's snatch. The ghostly image of the devil bringer began to go along with Nero's movements, slamming the demon into the floor all before crushing it.
His blue eyes looked up from the dead demon, gazing over all the customers who were beginning to rise from their seats, growling, and shedding the human forms with ease.

The battle went on for the next several minutes as Nero shot, sliced, and crushed with all of the skills at his disposal. He proved to be not as skilled as Dante himself, but incredibly skilled nonetheless.

Using the devil bringer, one devil was grabbed by the leg and smacked into other demons, slammed into them, and against the ground repeatedly before being sent flying to the wall with a yell, followed by a gunshot that destroyed the head.

Another devil burned away, the Red Queen set ablaze after being revved much like a motorcycle that sliced through another being from hell like a hot knife.

Before too long, the job was done. The bar was a mess with tables broken, glass everywhere, and seats shattered.

The young devil hunter walked outside of the bar, another job well done. All that was left was to collect the pay, and then head back to his uncle's place.

Having collected the cash, Nero stepped out of the RV parked right in front of Dante's shop. His blue eyes looked towards the door, seeing Dante looking at him.
Wasting little time, Nero began to approach his uncle. "Job's done, Dante. Here's your cut of the profit." he said, reaching into his coat.

Lifting his hand and shaking his head, Dante responded. "Nah. Keep it, kid. Buy yourself something nice." he said before walking away, going to a motorcycle that was red much like his clothing. He then further spoke. "Since you're here though, keep an eye on the shop for me in case any customers show up."

Nero became surprised which became clear on his face all before he gave a slight shrug, pulling his hand from his coat. "What? Got a job?"

Getting on his vehicle, Dante turned to the new hunter. "That's right. See you around, kid. I don't wanna be late for the party." he gave a wave befor revving the motorcycle, and finally speeding off.

Watching this, Nero crossed his arms before turning to Devil May Cry. He sighed slightly before approaching the double doors. "Alright, I guess."

The Devil Hunter gazed around the shop, taking note of the endless amount of empty pizza boxes. "There wasn't this many boxes earlier. What the hell?" he mumbled to himself. "No wonder he stays broke all the time."
He approached the jukebox, looking to the song currently playing. It was titled 'Taste the Blood', a song Nero put a stop to before turning on his own music, a tune called 'The Time Has Come'.

After getting the music situated, he took a seat in Dante's chair. It was old, worn out, yet somewhat comfortable still for some reason despite that seeming impossible by Earthly standards.
While it wasn't his original intention, he propped his feet up onto the table, getting even more comfortable than before when something caught his eye. It was a picture on the desk, one of a woman with long, blonde hair that wore mostly red.
The young devil hunter had no clue who it was, going so far as to think it possibly being his uncle's girlfriend even. He looked back up to the ceiling, his eyes closing as he drifted asleep while his song played in the background.

He wasn't sure how long he'd been sleeping, but was awoken by the sound of knocks on the door.
Nero's blue eyes slowly began to open as he realized what was going on. Taking it slow, he began to rise from the seat after taking his feet off the desk.

"Door's unlocked. I think." he said, approaching slowly.

The knob would turn, allowing one of the doors to creep open as a woman dressed violet robes walked in, a hood over her head that shrouded her face.
However, the neck of her robes went low, travelling down and turning into a small cut out that formed a symbol of fire, revealing a very small amount of her chest.
"You're Nero, right?" she asked in a tone that was eerily familiar. Long, brown hair was visible, coming from underneath the hood.

"Yeah?" he became concerned, turning more sideways as he discreetly reached for the Blue Rose. Something like this has never happened, and wouldn't Dante be expected?

"Please, there's no need for that." she spoke, almost as if she could sense the hostility. It could have simply been her reading his expressions, however. "I'm not here to fight you."

Refusing to drop his guard, he left his hand in his coat. "You a customer, then?"

She nodded swiftly. "I am. A friend of mine is going to come by and see Dante about this job later, but we needed you in on this too. We knew we'd need all the help we can get."

He took his hand from his coat. "What sort of job are we talking about, here?"

"A demon. A powerful one is about to tear into the human world and invade." she began, approaching him. "Surely you've noticed the increase in jobs, lately? It hasn't been by much, but more demons are coming into the human world every day."

Nero crossed his arms, sighing. "Can't Dante handle this one on his own? Killing badass demons is kind of his thing."

She shook her head. "No, you don't understand the severity. This demon has a name. It's the same demon emperor your father went to face."

Widening his eyes he pulled the Blue Rose from his coat. "How the Hell do you know this all?"

She widened her mouth slightly, lowering her head after closing it. "I understand that you don't trust me. But please, know I'm not your enemy. I don't want Mundus entering this world either."

A bit of rage was building within Nero, and it became clear in his tone of voice. "Yeah? Well, for all I know, that could be bullshit. You haven't even given your name, or the slightest reason to believe any of this."

At long last, she lifted her hands to the hood, lowering it to let her brown hair fall, revealing it's full length. "My name is Eliza."

The young devil hunter widened his eyes, the shock building to the point he dropped his gun to the floor.
He couldn't believe what he was looking at. It was impossible, yet there she was, standing right before him.

Her green eyes focus on Nero, and it became clear why her voice was so familiar as her face was that of the young devil hunter's mother.

Nero was staring at Abigale.

(Much shorter than Dante's, but here's Nero's. I hope it's enjoyed.

And yes, I am planning on combining 1 and 5. I don't really think it'll be in the way people expect, however. I will say that I'm pretty happy with the ideas I have, and that things won't mirror the games quite as much as they have in the past. Things are about to become a good bit different (as if they haven't already), but I hope you guys stick with this story.

I hope you enjoy what all's to come. I have one more chapter to post in Rite of Heritage... And I plan on releasing it with the prologue of the next story. So give me time before I post anything new.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Thank you so much for sticking with me this long.)
