Glimmer of Light
"Candle"
Shego could have easily lit her hands to give light to the blackout of the party. Everyone was grumbling in the dark as blame was being tossed at who had caused it. She felt someone walk into her from behind and was about to light the whole place up when the familiar scent reached her nostrils and she relaxed.
"Shego?" came Drakken's voice in her ear.
"Yeah," she sighed, "Did you do this?"
"No," he sounded annoyed. She could picture the eye roll.
"Hey, I just asked," she responded. Drakken didn't move.
She was about to move away from him as he was pressed closely behind her. His hands had found her arm and waist. Trying to make sure she didn't move and leave him in the dark. She felt a slow creeping of heat on her face as a loud sound caused his hands to grip her flesh tighter. As his breath tickled her ear in his heavy breaths caused by shock... her mind went elsewhere. The heat in her face felt like fire at the image in her head.
Imagining him pressed tighter against her, his breath in her ear, hands gripping her flesh... all in a very different and secluded setting and lacking the fabrics around them. She tried to shake it from her head in frustration. That was a line she had firmly intended not to cross. She felt his hands slide more around her and her eyes shot open as his cheek pressed against hers. If she didn't know any better, she would think he was testing the waters... which she knew wasn't the case. Was it? She bit her lip in contemplation of what she was about to do.
Her hand slid over his on her waist and slowly began moving it down her hip as she leaned completely into him. In her mind she mapped out the exit route to the hover car in the darkness. Wondered the ramifications of seeing where this might lead... but before anything in her internal fantasies could dare take action...
A soft flicker of light illuminated them as Dementor held up a lit candle. She felt Drakken's hand's retreat so fast it only left cold sir and the warmth of his body pressed behind her felt like a wall of ice now. She crossed her arms and took an unbothered stance, choosing to let whatever she'd imagined might have been happening or being tempted... vanish.
She'd be lying if the two time Duff Killigan had caused the candle to go out, she hadn't hoped that Drakken would resume his stance but... no matter how many times the candle was accidentally blown out... the moment had passed.
*Lets get kicking*
