The trio walked through the woods.
"You guys figure it out yet?" Max asked.
"What?" Ray questioned.
"Why Mr. D sent us here?" Tyson looked back at max.
"Yeah…" Max confirmed. "I mean… he must've had a purpose to send us on this trip, amirite?"
"Yeah, I wonder what lesson we could learn from these woods and wastelands," Tyson said looking ahead again.
It was afternoon. They had been roaming the place for quite a while now. The tiredness was slowly creeping over them. But this was not just them; it was as if the surroundings were reflecting their mood. The bright sun was getting obscured by the unnaturally dark clouds which were getting thicker with time. It cast a demonic aura…
Ray was the first one to notice this.
"Guys Is it just me or…" before he finished, the ground exploded. The force of it sent them each, flying in different directions. Tyson painfully sat up after a moment. He had scratches all over him. So did the rest of the trio. Max had sprained his ankle so he was having trouble moving. Ray got went over to him to help. Tyson had barely moved to do the same when max yelled. "Tyson…! Look out." He stopped, and not a moment too soon. A large tree came down inches away from him with enough force to level a car.
"What the hell just happened?" Tyson asked. The answer was given to him moments later. He felt a tingling sensation behind his neck, and he turned.
There was someone there, a dark figure. But Tyson doubted it was human since Its presence was overwhelming. It radiated energy. Whatever that was, it was powerful. No doubt it was the reason for the explosion. Tyson stared at the figure. It looked back. The eyes were bright purple, with no pupils in them. Tyson felt as if the stare on its own would pulverize him.
"What do you want?" He managed.
A dark shape formed in the sky, above the mysterious figure, something huge, an enormous snake.
"It's a bit-beast Tyson…" Max exclaimed…
"Launch your blade…" Ray said.
'Yeah…' Tyson thought.
'You aren't the only one with power.'
He launched Dragoon at the figure. As the blade accelerated towards it, the blue dragon emerged from the bit-chip. Then something happened which Tyson didn't think was possible. His blade stopped. The expression on Dragoon's face could not be read as anything else but shock. Tyson had never seen Dragoon stop shocked at the sight of another beast before. But the pause didn't last long. The blade charged. Not even waiting for His command.
"Something dark shot from behind the Mysterious figure. It must've been a Beyblade since it charged straight towards Dragoon. The Blades collided, which caused another explosion. Dragoon was knocked back instantly. Rocks and twigs flew towards Tyson. He shielded his face with his arms. His opponent didn't seem to be having any trouble with this as it stood there without moving. Behind Tyson, Max and ray felt their blades glow in their pockets. The battle raged as the blades continued to collide. Nature seemed to be at war with itself. Winds this strong was never seen before. It tore trees by the roots and they flew around like leaves. The dark blade glowed with fire as it came for another strike. As it did, The python above lunged at dragoon, It's purple scales outlined with flames. When the blades collided. Tyson felt like he was suddenly dropped into lava. His body burned. That's when he realized it. The attacks were not only affecting his blade but it was also causing direct damage to him. All the previous collisions had left him a fresh cut in his skin. He thought it was the things flying towards him.
This was dangerous. If this battle went on too long, he would bleed to death… Dragoon seemed to have understood this too as it was focusing on dodging the snake now. But it was almost impossible since it moved so fast, it was almost a blur.
Thunder boomed and lightning bolts tore through the sky…
Tyson's eyes were losing focus. Max and Ray prepared to launch their blades but the dark blade suddenly moved away from dragoon and drew a circle enclosing Tyson and his opponent. The blade's path flared. 10-foot flames rose from the ground, preventing any interruptions to the match. This gave Tyson some time to catch his breath. But it also gave him a new problem to deal with. The temperatures were rising to alarming levels. The roaring wind didn't seem to affect the fire. Tyson knelt on the ground. He knew it was hopeless. He couldn't win against something like this. He couldn't speak. His throat was dry. The blades were still clashing violently.
"S…Stop…" He stuttered. His voice wasn't even heard over the fire and wind. His friends were shouting from somewhere. He looked at the figure standing before him. It still appeared as a silhouette against the raging flames behind it. The snake lunged again. This time dragoon was too weak to dodge it. It sank its fangs onto the dragon neck and Tyson Screamed. He felt like he was slashed with a sword. The snake coiled the rest of its body around the blue dragon. Tyson felt like he was being compressed to a dot. His wounds got deeper and the blood flowed freely from them. The dragon roared in agony. The lightning flashed again. The snake hissed, even the sound caused pain. The pressure increased gradually. Tyson couldn't take it anymore. Then it stopped. Tyson gazed at the sky. The enormous serpent wasn't strangling the dragon anymore. Where Dragoon was, a second ago, now there was a shower of golden particles. The white blade toppled over and fell. Its Bit-chip was bare. Everything stopped as fast as it had begun. The flame wall was gone, the winds had stopped. The Python hissed again and vanished. So did the blade and the blader. Max ran to Tyson. Before he reached, Tyson felt himself falling over.
"Dragoon…" He whispered… "He's gone..." There were tears in his eyes. But they were not from the wounds in his body.
