Satsuma was paradise, summer all year, perfect temperatures. The fresh air was warm, there were green trees and plants all over the island as well as a few cities from the capital Sakama City, Yoshuma and Jorkatan, including a American base.

During the 1940s, after Pearl Harbor, the Japanese had moved to take the island, forcing the British, who'd been occupying the island at the time, into vacating the whole place. Eventually in December 1944-January 1945, MacArthur's forces liberated the island n.

In the decades since the end of the war, the Americans had established a base to defend the island from any threats. With almost everyone on the island asleep, the military base, located away from the capital, was buzzing with activity as guards stood in watch towers, watching for any enemy attacks.

American troops patrolled the area with machine guns and rifles at the ready, even the gun towers were rotating every minute, the operators watching the sky for enemy fighter jets if that happened. Little did everyone know was that something was coming...

One of the watch tower guards was turning with his binoculars to watch his surroundings when he looked out at the ocean and let out a silent shriek, a ghost dinosaur had surfaced and was approaching the island, its eyes glowing demonically.

"We're under attack." The guard exclaimed, "Sounding alarm!" He pulled down on a chain and, instantly, the base's warning alarms began to blare. "ALERT, ALERT!" The guard yelled into the mike, "UNDER ATTACK!"

The U.S Army tanks began to roll out of their sheds, gun batteries moved into position and military troops began to clear the area of any civilians. Within minutes, the guns began to fire on Ghost Godzilla, the bullets passing through him, some hitting him but not doing any damage to the giant Kaiju.

The beast bellowed furiously as he made landfall, advancing towards the base, towering over the military forces as soldiers trembled with fear.

GSHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! The Kaiju's dorsal plates glowed and the beast unleashed its atomic breath, firing upon two of the tanks and melting them almost instantly.

"ARAAAAAARRRREEEOOONK GRRRRAAAAAAAYOOOOROOOOOOOOONK!" Ghost Godzilla's roar shook the earth more so than his footsteps, the monster trampled on an outpost and struck down a tower with his tail.

Lights flashed and fiery explosions occurred as the radioactive mutated monstrous dinosaur phantom annihilated tanks with his fire breath, took down gun towers by stomping through them and crushed buildings.

American soldiers scrambled to escape being stomped on by the towering titan, alarms blared like mad and fires were now blazing all over the area, burning trees and grass as well as a few corpses of those unlucky enough to be stomped on by Ghost Godzilla.

Tanks were retreating back into their underground stations in the mountain side, chaos reigned throughout the outpost. The demonic restless spirit looked down upon the destruction and chaos he had caused, testing his renewed powers.

Tanks were now piles of melted metal, structures were rubble and fires were burning most of the island forests, smoke filled the night sky. Deciding enough was enough for now, Ghost Godzilla made his leave, heading back out to the nearby sea as he faded into invisibility, roaring one more time.

The next morning after breakfast, Ben, Tim, Katie and Alice were in the living room watching a Tom Cruise movie, when the phone rang. "I got it." Ben picked up the phone, "Godzilla Prediction Network, how may we help?"

The Prime Minister's voice in Japanese; "GPN, did you catch the news? Nuclear plant and American army base devastated, in the same night."

"Already know about the nuclear plant, I had some folks on sight watching. As for the army base? Lets say I didn't know what was gonna happen after Ghost Godzilla demolished the plant until know.

"Its all over the news, some survivors of both disasters must've talked to some news media press representatives and talked about what happened."

"Well, you guys gotta get it together and figure out what the heck is going on, why a ghost Godzilla is on the loose, how to take it down and make sure this situation is resolved pronto."

"Hai. Understood sir."

"Arigatto."

The phone went blank.

"Who was it, hun?" Alice asked as Ben hung up. "It was the Prime Minister of Japan. Right after the nuclear factory got attacked, our buddy attacked an American military base somewhere in the Pacific and it was not in Guam."

Tim groaned, "Ah crud. The president of America is not gonna be happy when he gets the briefing on what happened in the Pacific."

President Ebert: Hey Robert, what else happened while I was asleep?

Adviser Robert: Mr. President, a giant dinosaur attacked one of our military bases in the Pacific last night.

President: WHAT? GIANT DINOSAUR?!

Breathing in the fresh air outside, Ben, his girlfriend and kids sat down at the table, gathered to talk about the events of last night and what research had to be done.

"Ok, so what do we know so far about the Ghost Godzilla situation, everyone?" Ben asked the family.

Alice raised her hand, "The 1954 Godzilla is back and might be more dangerous than ever?"

Tim's hand shot up, "We were visited by Doc Serizawa's ghost not long after our ghost buddy struck?"

Katie raised her hand too; "Oh oh. Uh, the big guy is regaining strength thanks to radioactivity."

"Yeeeaaaahhhh." Ben shrugged, "We need some more help. Does anybody have a clue on who or what could be of use?"

Alice winked, "I think I know somebody who can try to help with the Ghost Godzilla. There's this British guy."

Ben and Tim got curious, "Who is it, mum?"

"Yeah, who is it?"

"Ian Kettleson." Alice explained, "He was born August 6th, 1942 in London, he turned 3 the same day Hiroshima happened. For his 12th birthday, he and his parents went on a trip to Japan and they were visiting Tokyo during the time frame the first Godzilla was sinking ships and had appeared on Odo Island.

"When the monster made landfall and attacked Tokyo, Ian and his family managed to survive the attack by hiding in the basements of their apartment. Because Ian hid out in a bunker basement and was lucky, making him one of the handful of many to survive the attack.

"In the years after, Ian became interested in ghosts. In the 1980s period, he and his company caught wind of a plan to excavate dinosaur bones in the same area where the O.D was detonated.

"Fearing that the 'ghost of Godzilla' would rise, he and some Kettleson Enterprises representatives called for talks with the Excavation Corporation. Negotiations took a while but eventually, Ian persuaded the corporation workers not to excavate in that area so the dig was moved some place else.

"This saved millions from the return of Godzilla right up until the new one showed up 5 years ago. I'm not saying our Godzilla is the same entity as the first one, the new one is probably either from the same species as 1954 Godzilla or some undiscovered surviving prehistoric reptile."

"We know." Ben nodded, "But how do you know about this British fella?" "I did a news article on him two years ago and I met him last year in London to talk with him, he knows a lot about ghosts as he's basically a spectrologist, though there's loads of 'em out there. Tim, Katie, you'd get along well with him. In fact, I got his number on my cell phone."

Gray haired, brown eyed and thin bodied 63 year old Ian Westerson was napping in his office on his brown chair, feet against a black table, he was in the middle of dreaming about ghosts when the phone rang, waking him up.

"What, hm?" Ian woke up, obviously he had not expected the phone to ring. For quite some time, he'd been a teacher at many universities, American, British and now he was teaching in Japan.

"Who the bloody 'eck is callin'?" Ian muttered, sleepily. The phone kept ringing. "All right, I'll git it."

He picked up the black colored phone, sitting properly at his table now. "Hullo. Hokkaido University, good day mite. How may I help ye? This is Professor Ian Westerson."

The too familiar voice of Alice Foxingtarn spoke up over the other line, "Ian, been a while. We could use some assistance, the ghost of the first Gojira who sank ships and attacked Tokyo back in 1954 has risen."

"Alice?" Ian was amazed, "Alice Foxingtarn? Is that you, where the blimey 'eck are yeh today right now?"

"With a guy, Ben Johnston, and two kids, Tim and Katie. Godzilla Prediction Network HQ here in Tokyo, currently off duty from my reporter duties. Duh, think you can come over and we could team up to figure out something important."

"Yeah, you mentioned something about Godzilla. I'll be glad to help ye, just lemme call up me own personal helicopter and I'll fly over to your place of residence in Tokyo."

"You could stay in Tokyo for a while, hang with the family for a while and maybe after the ghost debacle of right now is done, you can go back to, well, wherever you live these days."

"Yeah, just lemme git me personal belongin's first before callin' up me pilot and chopper. I enjoy chattin' with yeh as well as other folks. I'll be seein' yeh very soon, madam."

"Great, see you in a few hours."

Ian hung up, his mind was processing what he had just learned, the Godzilla who attacked in 1954 was back from the grave to wreck havoc? What was going on?
