*Two days later

"One more question Pori. Where do you strike when someone tries to punch you?"
"Throat or ribs."
I had so many more questions I wanted to ask him. But he looked like he didn't want to answer anymore as he put his mask on.
We reached an old wearhouse that I would never expect to be a bounty hunting organization. There was sharp pieces of rusted metal all scattered throughout the courtyard while the building looked dusty and a little worse for wear.
I followed behind Pori where he pushed aside a piece of the wall and inserted a code on a code key. We heard movement on the inside and the wall opened up to reveal an elevator. Me and Pori squeezed inside and he pushed a button to go up and we were instantly launched upwards.
"You bring knife?"
"Huh? Oh yes."
I pulled out my hunting knife to show him.
"Take to my sister when 'side."
"Inside."
"Inside."
The elevator dinged and we stepped out to see a hallway lit in blue lights. We walked through and found two people sitting on a table in a corridor.
They turned when they saw us heading in our direction.
"Pori is that you? It's been a while old friend."
An asian woman wearing a chinese kimono that exposed her shoulders and legs ran forward and pulled Pori into a tight hug.
"It's been too long! Are you single? Wanna go on a date?"
"Ha! You know 'Lone Wolf' over there never goes out with anyone, Chino. Why don't you go out with me darlin'? I don't bite?"
The other person laughed in a flirtatious tone who was dressed like he was ready to go to war.
"Oh please Trey! I'm interested but not that desperate so no. How about it Pori? Wanna go out with me?"
"No."
"Aww you're no fun."
"But I'm fun hot legs!"
"Fuck you!"
Trey just laughed in amusement and walked on over when he realized I was there.
"Well hello there girlie. Aren't you a sight for sore eyes?"
"I'm not your girlie. I'm Paty."
"Well Paty, can I give you some cash so you can dance for me?"
"Go suck a penius ya dick. You're not my type."
"Hehehe. A woman that can also talk back to Trey sounds like a new best friend to me."
Chino said giggling as she walked over to me and held out her hand.
"Chino Zhou. What's your name?"
"Patricia Williams. But I go by Paty."
"Well Paty, I'm glad to say as the first girl bounty hunter I've seen aside from the boss you're my new best friend. That woman is a bitch."
"Two things we can agree on."
We both giggled like we were teenagers.
"So Pori, wearing any armor yet aside from this mask of yours?"
Trey said as he took the mask off Pori like he had permission too.
"A warrior doesn't need armor if he chooses not to wear it. It's about the inner demon inside of them."
"That's a sad sentiment even coming from you Chino. And we both know you don't believe it since you're wearing armor yourself."
"You are?"
Chino sighed and pulled down her kimono a bit to reveal a bulletproof vest underneath.
"Yikes that looks tighter than the corsets I've worn. How can you work like that?"
"You get used to it."
"And that proves my point Chino. Only a fool would charge into battle without any armor or protection."
"I don't need armor to kill you Trey."
"Oooh! Is that a threat ninja fool?"
"Boys! Stop fighting at once or I'll gun you both down!"
"Misaki sweetie how you doing?"
"Keep that filthy trap of yours shut Trey or I'll cut off your tongue."
"Yes ma'am."
"Now, we have a new recruit with us today. Miss Patricia Williams but I trust you've all already spoken to her. So I just need for you to wait here while I have a private word with her."
*In Misaki's office
"Here's your knife belt and sheath. Don't want to have you dropping your knife on the first day."
I took it from her and attached it around my hip and placed my knife on the side.
"Also could you not have anything else to wear that doesn't look like you just got picked off the street like some whore?"
"This is all I have to wear."
"I don't really care. Here is a bulletproof vest. Put it on now."
I did as she said and put on the heavy vest.
"How much does this weigh?"
"15 pounds. A little hard to run in but it gets the job done. Now do you have any questions?"
"None."
"Good. Now leave while I get everyone's assignments ready."
"Yes ma'am."
I turned and placed my hand on the door knob.
"Oh and Patricia?"
"What?"
"If you get in my brothers way or get him killed I'll be coming for your head."
"Yes Misaki."
"Thank you. Wait for your assignment and don't ask for anything different or I'll remove your kidney without any medications to dull the pain."
I just nodded and excused myself before she said anything else.
"Surivived Misaki's wrath?"
"Is that what you call it? I call it bitching."
Chino laughed as we both headed to the table where Pori and Trey were sitting.
"Why can't I get any hot female partners?"
"Grow some balls and some manners and you might get lucky."
"Manners are boring. Being dirty is what gets the chicks all sweaty."
"I've just been disgusted with you since the moment I met you."
"I don't know sweetheart. If you ask nicely I'll take you out for real some porloin steak and none of that bland asian shit this fool has been feeding you."
"Watch your mouth Wilson or you'll watch the dirt."
"Ooh I'm shaking Ninjago. Ha! You don't scare me!"
"You will be."
"Why you little-"
"Trey Wilson. You're assignment is the mayor's banquet-"
"I'm killing the mayor?!"
"No his daughter. She bought 1.15 milligrams of Ecstasy and smuggled tax payer money for shopping money."
"If she's hot I'll feel bad ma'am."
"You get 20k more if you bring her alive."
"How much is the bounty?"
"100k."
"Holy smoking she's hot! And it's 120k for a first date with her?! Woohoo sign me up!"
"She'll be present at the banquet beside her dad at 1:30pm in Empire State. I suggest you get going."
With those words Trey pulled out a machine gun and charged out the door.
"Chino Zhou. You're assignment is a small time vandal that has been spotted stealing mutiple times in Times Square the past month. He's stolen over 10,000 in cash and I believe his next target is at Muncipal Bank. No extra bounty to have him alive just exterminate him."
"Yes ma'am. What time do you expect him to arrive?"
"I've hijacked his phone and heard a phone call with another associate that he will rob the bank at 7:00pm sharp with up to five other people. Kill them as well and I'll give you an extra 5k."
"The bounty?"
"20k."
"Yes ma'am. Excuse me."
Chino excused herself and headed out the door.
"And finally Pori Takanawa now accompanied by Patricia Williams. You're job is to exterminate Mr Husdon, Owner of Hudson Automobiles along with any associates. His crime is owing millions in taxpayer money and weapons smuggling."
"Bounty?"
"150k for Mr Hudson. And 10k for each associate. This will be a test to confirm if Miss Williams can keep up with the rest of us."
"Yes ma'am."
"He will be in his private villa off the Lady Liberty coast. I suggest you both get going before he leaves."
Pori bowed and headed to door, me quickly following after him. Taking a quiet breath as I felt Misaki's cold eyes watch me leave.
*30 minutes later"Wow Lady Liberty looks so beautiful."
I said in awe as we zoomed past her on a motor boat.
"What's the plan Pori?"
"Sneak in from below."
"And then what?"
He said nothing else which sent chills up my spine. I wasn't completely on board with killing people but as long as they were bad that was fine. Like the man I killed at my old workplace.
Can't go back to that life that's for sure. If I make enough money maybe I can run away with my dad and never look back. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking. But making cash and hiding is better than being stuck in a jail cell continuing to be a failure.
I looked ahead and the villa was coming into view. Today was a little foggy so it made everything ominous.
Pori tilted the boat to the right and we halted right at the sewer grate.
"This is how we getting in?"
Pori gave a quiet nod and pulled out a drill.
I was about to ask what was it when he pulled the trigger and plasma starting coming out.
"Wow."
He held the plasma next to metal and it began to melt. He went around in a ring until the edges of the grate melted. He put the drill away and pulled on the grate and it came off easily now.
I pinched my nose at the sewage smell coming from inside.
"Ugh do we have to go through here?"
Even with the mask on I could tell Pori looked at me like I asked the dumbest question.
"Okay let's go."
I said with a grimace as I vaulted into the huge pipe and Pori climbed in after me.
