Miguel is elevated and sitting up in his bed. His wounds across his face are healing, but are more apparent now. His left hand is slowly moving, but Miguel grits his teeth with every manoeuvre.

Carmen enters the room with a sad smile on her face.

"Miggy…", says Carmen trying to hold back her tears.

Carmen gently kisses Miguel on the temple as she walks towards him.

"How are you feeling?" asks Carmen.

"Dumb question, Ma", says Miguel.

Carmen looks down at Miguel's remark.

"I just want to make sure you're ok", says Carmen.

"Are you kidding me right now?"

"Of course, I'm not okay, I can barely feel my hands, my legs are dead and on top of that, I just want to get out of this bed and can kill Robby Keene!"

Miguel grunts in frustration and manages to lift arm, shoving over his dinner table. Carmen screams in fear. Miguel is now breathing heavy.

"Miggy, please, baby, please, calm down, this is not going to help you", says Carmen.

Carmen tries to comfort Miguel by placing her hands on his face.

"Don't touch me!" Miguel screams at Carmen who gasps and begins to cry.

Miguel looks over and sees Carmen has been hurt by his words.

"Mom, I'm sorry, I'm not angry at you, I just…I lost that fight…and I don't want to lose again", says Miguel.

"No more fighting, no more Cobra Kai, no more", says Carmen.

"You can't stop me, Sensei Lawrence will teach me".

"He's not your Sensei anymore".

Miguel frowns at Carmen's revelation.

"Sensei Kreese took the dojo back", says Carmen.

Miguel's frown fades.

"Oh, shit", says Miguel.

"Oh, Miggy, I'm so sorry", says Carmen.

Carmen sits by Miguel's bedside.

"Miggy, there's something you need to know about me and…Sensei Lawrence", says Carmen.

"What do you mean?" asks Miguel.

"He and I are…well, I wouldn't call it dating, but…we are…taking it slowly".

"When did this happen?"

"Not long ago, plus Robby is now living with him, so you might see him".

Miguel is now stone-faced and clenching his fist.

"Please tell me you're joking", says Miguel.

"Robby is his son, and his mother…", says Carmen, before Miguel interrupts.

"Why are you defending him?!" Miguel snaps.

"I am not defending him, I am asking you to forgive him".

"Why? So things aren't awkward at family dinners, when they're both there? How could you defend the same guy who put me in the hospital?! I MAY NEVER WALK AGAIN!"

Miguel's last remark sends pain through his spine and causing him to tense, screaming in pain. Carmen presses the emergency button.

Daniel and Johnny arrive back at the dealership, defeated and not in the same jovial mood they were previously.

Amanda sees this and approaches them both.

"So, how did it go?" asks Amanda with a sarcastic smile on her face.

Daniel smiles back with a hint of sarcasm, while Johnny doesn't respond at all. Amanda notices his new suit.

"Well, at least your suit looks good", says Amanda.

"Yeah, I may look good, doesn't mean I feel good", says Johnny.

Johnny walks off defeated. Amanda looks on and turns to Daniel.

"I'll go", says Daniel.

Daniel follows Johnny, who is making a coffee and adding three packets of sugar.

"What matters more to you, Johnny: other people's opinions or your self-respect?" asks Daniel.

Johnny stops and thinks for a second.

"Don't think about it, just answer", says Daniel.

"My self-respect", says Johnny.

"Correct".

"What about honour, though?"

"Honour?"

"Yeah, if someone disrespects you and your family, what do you do?"

"Well, that's different".

"How is that different?"

"Johnny, Sid is not your family, okay, Robby is your family, Carmen and Miguel are your family.

"Just because this guy used to put a roof over your head and paid for your things as a kid, doesn't mean he is your family now".

Johnny continues to listen to Daniel, while at the same time, looking off in a distance, seeing Amanda talking to a familiar face: Sid.

"Son of a bitch", says Johnny.

"Okay, look, you got to be careful what you say around…", says Daniel.

"No, no, Danny, look", says Johnny, pointing to Amanda talking with an unexpected visitor: Sid!

Johnny and Daniel walk over to Amanda and Sid.

"Johnny, I am guessing this is the investor you were talking about", says Amanda.

"Now, hold on, ma'am, I haven't said yes to anything, but I must say, a father should always support his son's decisions, even if they don't always see eye to eye, right, Johnny?" asks Sid.

"Yeah, that's right…Dad", says Johnny.

Sid smiles when Johnny calls him by his paternal name.

"Johnny, I didn't know this was your father", says Amanda.

"Stepfather, Mrs. LaRusso, but old John here, he's always been like my son", says Sid.

"Mr. Weinberg, why don't you step into my office, and we will be happy to hear more of your proposal?" asks Daniel.

"I don't need to hear any proposals, I just need to talk to my son if that's alright".

"Of course, Mr. Weinberg, Daniel, why don't you go prepare for the Greigers to arrive?"

"Sure, no problem".

Before he leaves, Daniel looks at Johnny with a 'be careful' look, while Johnny raises his eyebrows in a 'I know, man' look.
