A/N: This chapter is all a Vanessa POV
Dylan drives me to my house and smiles. I don't smile back. I go to open the car door but his hand stops me. He looks at me for a minute before sighing. "You know that we all love you, right?" By 'we' he means Zac, him and their parents. If they 'love' me, they wouldn't have waited three years to tell me, or rather my mother or sister in fact, they my ex-boyfriend has been doing drugs and alcohol, would they? I'm seriously starting to question everyone's 'love' for me. I raise my eyebrows at the younger Efron brother and grab my stuff from the floor and look at him. "Do you?" I get out of the car before he can say anything.
I get inside my house and immediately sigh as I put my stuff on the coffee table where a handwritten note sits.
Van,
I came to get Shadow for you so she wouldn't be alone. Come and get her whenever you want. Although I seriously doubt thatChris orMaui will be thrilled about you getting her as soon as you get home from Starla and David.

Well I'm glad that they've got an extra play buddy. But I just want Shadow cuddles. I switch on the tv and go to the kitchen and make myself a cup of coffee to drink while I watch tv. Once my coffee is done, I go back to the living room and sit on my couch and put on Netflix and watch a random movie. I slowly fall asleep, thinking about the Efron's.
A week later
I haven't left my house in a week for anything. I haven't spoken to anyone in a week. Not even Ashley or my family because I know they'll ask about him and I'm not ready. I can't tell them about that day my dreams were crushed and I can't tell him either because I know he'll never forgive me. I think back to the day we talked about having a family.
Flashback
"Hey, Ness?" Zac and I are sitting in our hotel room that Kenny has let us have. I currently have my head on Zac's naked chest with Zac playing with my hair. "Yeah?" I reply, looking at the setting sun through the open large balcony doors. "Do you want a family of your own someday, babe?" Why is he saying that? We're still young. I look up at him with a small smile on my face. "Yeah, someday, as long as it's with you." Zac smiles. "That sounds like a plan to me, Baby." Zac pecks me on the lips. "I love you, Zac." I mutter as I drift off for a nap. "I love you, Nessa." I hear him whisper. I can't wait to start a family with him.
I sit in the same clothes that I left in when I stayed with him. I haven't changed or showered in a week but I don't care, no one is coming. I've turned off my phone off as soon as I got home so that no one could contact me. Of course they came over and tried to talk to me but I ignored them every time and locked my door. Ashley and Chris have kept Shadow at their place for awhile. A knock comes at my door but like everyone else, I ignore them. The banging continues but I ignore it. "Vanessa Anne Hudgens, we know you're in there, open up now!" A familiar voice shouts through the door. I almost fall off the couch when I hear it. Why are they here? I sigh and go into my room and just ignore them, eventually falling asleep.
I wake up a few hours later and moan as I sit up. The sun is setting. I get out of bed and use the bathroom. After using the bathroom, I make my bed and leave my room, closing my door behind me. I grab a coffee and drink it, when a voice comes from behind me. "Hey, Van." I scream and drop my coffee and it falls to the floor, breaking and coffee spilling over the floor. I turn around and see Dylan and his parents sitting on my couch. How did they get in here? I grit my teeth and pick up the pieces of the smashed coffee cup. After putting the coffee cup pieces in the trash, I grab a rag and mop up the spilt coffee. I straighten up and see my once second parents looking at me with sad eyes. Why do they have a look of pity in their eyes? "Vanessa, can we talk?" Mrs. Efron says gently. I shake my head and walk back to my room, slamming the door in Dylan's face as he tries to follow me in.
Why won't anyone leave me alone?
