Chapter 17

"Who was hollering in here?!" FBI Special Agent Andrew Cusher, asked again in a demanding tone of voice as he and SA Lairson glanced around my room before focusing on the open window and heading over to it while the other three nurses were on their way to my bed-side.

"You are. I'm attempting to get some sleep here and all of you barging into my hospital room in the dead of night is not helpful. And what are two FBI agents doing playing dress up with nurse's clothing?" I shot back at him as he and SA Lairson moved over to my open window and stuck their heads out, looking around.

"What's this about FBI agents?" A burly woman who I took to be the head nurse of the nightshift asked, as she looked over the clipboard that was hanging on the edge of my bed.

"Those two,' I said pointing to Cusher and Lairson, 'Are FBI Agents who for some unknown reason are wearing nurse's uniforms." I told her knowing the likeness of her believing me was 50/50 as I was hooked up to a morphine drip.

"She's obviously delirious. Probably high on the pain medicine." SA Lairson said as they closed the window and locked it before turning back to me.

"Someone outside could seen her attempting suicide and hollered." SA Cusher added closing the curtain.

I clenched my fist in anger realizing what they were trying to do.

"So you two think she should be put on suicide watch?" The burly Head Nurse asked as she put down the clipboard and turned her attention to the FBI Agents.

"I think that would be best, we wouldn't want her injuring herself." SA Lairson said.

I felt a knot twist in my stomach at the thought of being locked up again,

*If I need to I'll just run away, after all I haven't felt any pain even without the morphine drip in and anything is better than being locked up and unable to move.* I decided, shifting my gaze from the Head Nurse to the two FBI Agents who were now approaching my hospital bed.

"I see. Nurse Yuki, Nurse Yin what do you two think?" The Head Nurse asked turning her attention to the two nurses who had been checking up on me and the machines.

"There are no signs of suicide and she's dressed in normal street clothes." The one on my left said,

"And there are no marks on her feet which are bare and her hair is slightly damp yet." The other added from my right.

"So your conclusions are?" The Head Nurse asked.

"She showered and changed clothing before coming back, laying down and most likely turning on the TV which seems to have been left on a very loud volume." One of the two said as I turned my gaze back to the approaching FBI agents.

"Oh please, as if the TV could have hollered her name three times in a row in two different voices." Agent Cusher said in a snide way.

"I believe you said that the two of you are new and hadn't been assigned a group of patients yet isn't that correct?" The Head Nurse asked, seeming to come to a conclusion.

"Yes why?" Agent Lairson demanded.

"Then how did you know that this patient's name is Gemma?" The Head Nurse replied, causing Agent Lairson and Cusher to blink and then reach underneath their shirts and pull out -guns?!

"The HEACK?!* I thought feeling my eyes bulge in surprise as I stared at the two guns with silencers on the end of them being pointed in our direction.

"Look ladies we wanted to do this quietly and without being seen but we don't have time for that anymore so just stay quiet and do what we say. Lairson go tie their hands, we'll shove them in a closet, as for you Gemma Swan, you're coming with us." Agent Cusher said.

*What is going on here?! Am I just asleep and having weird dreams?* I wondered as I stared in surprise at the gun that was now pointing directly at me.

"We don't have all night ladies. Lairson can you handle those three while I get Swan to the pick-up point?" Agent Cusher asked his partner, both of whom I was beginning to think weren't actually FBI agents at all, or if they were they weren't JUST FBI agents but working for someone else on the side.
