The Master Guardians
Characters: Anakin Skywalker, Obi-wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn Siri Tachi, Adi Gallia, Mace Windu, Master Yoda, Darra Thel Thanis, Soara Attana, Ry Gaul
Time-line: After the war on Naboo, but before Anakin is accepted as a Jedi
Sypnopsis: After destroying the blockade on Naboo, the council gives Anakin Skywalker another chance, but instead of the Jinn/Kenobi team. He is assigned to the Gallia/Tachi team, several months in training, his team and his partner grow close, as he shows his abilities. And to the council, his future changes from clouded to crystal clear under the tutelage of the Jedi just like him now.

Warnings: This is going to cover the rewrite to the story connecting the Jedi Apprentice stories together as though he was Adi's apprentice and Ferus was with Obi-wan and Qui-Gon as with it, Qui-Gon survived the fight with Darth Maul, as this is what if from the very beginning they gave him a second chance as he becomes everything he was supposed to be under Adi and Siri now.
Chapter 7: The Master Guardians
"Like I said at times the force starts screwing with your memories, but this was us, when I joined the order, but we made a very, very quick change. And that's about to start screwing with the future, but Master got to me first, I told them everything they needed to know and here we are now." Anakin said and they nodded. "Chance hazards as a Jedi, this is the way of a Jedi, way of the apprentice." he said and they nodded as he and Mace turned to Anakin.
"Anakin, it's your us now, son." Damon said and he smiled in delight as he went to them and hugged them tightly. "Gods I missed you guys so much." he said and they nodded. "We missed you too padawan, I love you, I always did, brother, best friend." Obi-wan said smiling and he nodded. "The connection is back in place, and things just took a different course, we're back." Mace said smiling and he nodded as he looked at his mentor.
As he crouched in front of him as he looked into his eyes then. "Master is that really you, my you?" he asked and Yoda nodded. "Yes Anakin, I'm your me now." he said and Anakin nodded. "That's my fatal mistake, I should have told you the following morning, but I meant it, I didn't care you, as the council and order. You never had to tell me, you always knew, and you were waiting for me to tell you, but I meant it now, I meant it that I didn't care here."
"I never had to hide my secrets from you guys, you read me like an open book, you knew, you always knew this about us." he said to him and he nodded. "Indeed we did, you never had to say a word, we could see it in your eyes when her name was mentioned or the glow of happiness in her's when you were together." Mace said to him and he nodded. "So you knew she was pregnant with us off world?" he asked and they nodded to him gently at that.
"We knew she was pregnant, but thing of it is, I thought it was one, but learning the truth, not one or the other, but twins and that did it for us finally. Master told me and Tiana she had twins." Damon said and he nodded. "Like me, you all thought there was only one, till he told you I had twins?" he repeated and the surviving members all nodded. "Yeah this was a shock to us as well, we all thought it was just Luke till the droid us told she was carry twins."
"At the same time we all thought we lose you for good." Tiana said and he nodded. "You and Damon left before the purge, just to insure, you never had to face me when Vader had control here, the four of you left?" he asked and they, Kyp Durron's father, and Vima Da Boda nodded. "Yeah, like Obi-wan, we never wanted to be the ones that had to do this, anymore then you wanted to face us." she said and he nodded in relief as Obi-wan sighed at that.
"Well there it is, like me you never wanted to face off who was like a son to you, and my adopted parents to me, and like me, you all thought now. That there was only one here right now in the twins. So every Jedi that survived the purge knew I had twins, is that it?" he asked and they all nodded. "We knew, but we never saw this coming, that whatever happened this time causes that." Vima Da Boda said to him and he nodded to her.
"You also got a look at the future, saw Han and realized you had to tell him the dangers if they too have twins, and before it results in repeater, Grandmother?' he asked and she nodded to him. "Indeed that's the reason alright, I knew him on sight the second I saw him, but he couldn't understand, it was after the Chu'unthor. That I made this clear to him and to Luke, the dangers now, in being this strong." she said and he nodded as he looked between them.
"You tell them who it was I was married to, or were you waiting till this moment to reveal it, what I was really like, before Sidious got to me finally and Vader. He knocked me into a coma, Master?" he asked and she said it gently. "I chose to wait, it was not my secret to tell now, honey." she said and he nodded. "Thank you, as the truth needs to be heard, in my voice now, but I was waiting for you to bust us, so I could come clean, you know I hate lying to you."
"We had a few rough times those 13 years, but while you were waiting for me to tell you, I was waiting for you to bust us, so I could tell you finally." he said and they nodded as Mace covered his eyes at that. "I'm starting to wish we had, before I left for Utapaa." Obi-wan said to him and Mace nodded. "Us too, we wish we busted you that day, before you started your mission of making sure it was him." he said and Anakin nodded as he looked from them to Yoda.
"Bail knew as well." Mace said and he nodded bemused at that. "Great, so all of you knew this, and trying for subtlety was never her strong suit here too. Her emotions on me were broadcasting to you so loudly you knew immediately, while in my case I was sick of lying to you, and decided the hell with it. I'm telling you in the morning, before he sent for me." he said and the council nodded gently. "Well that sums it up, son." Mace said, with a gentle smile on his face.
"Wait who is that?" Han asked and he smiled. "You remember the elderly woman that encountered you, before you met Chewie and Lando?" he asked and he nodded. "This her, but at her current age of 45 to 60, this is Vima Da Boda, Master Vima Da Boda, she's Kieran Durron's Jedi Mentor now." he said and they nodded in shock to that. "You're a Jedi Master?" the twins, Lando and Han said together in shock as they looked at the young woman gently.
"Indeed I am, I knew the dangers of being this strong, that's what I was really trying to tell you boys, being this strong leaves the target on your backs. Your father hated being this strong, he hated his powers, his sentivity and his title, so much he wanted to be like us, a normal Jedi, but he can't. In his, and your, cases, different is dangerous and deadly when you're the strongest padawan of your age group in history." she said and they nodded in shock to that.
"She's the great grand daughter, to Nomi Sunrider, but that was a story to explain why the lightsaber is never to be taken up lightly, you get too cocky. And it could hurt or kill someone in the fight, like her grandmother I too had the same reaction, but afterwards I couldn't believe what I just did. I was sick to my stomach and I never wanted them to know this, but our connection caused them to know anyway." he said and the council and the trio nodded gently.
"I'm a Jedi lightsaber lore junior historian and lore historian period, I got the most out of the stories they taught us, but then I'm not one for true violence. I only use my lightsaber if there is no other choice, but if talking or telekinesis never works it's violence, but violence is always, always a last resort. Understand, there are many outlets here to go to before use of the weapon, clear?" he asked and the quintet nodded to the training lesson gently and Mace smiled.
"And before those visions started going out of control here." Damon finished and he nodded. "Like I said, we both made mistakes, and we can fix said, but this is the me, you remember when I was a youngling." he said and they nodded. "Yes, but now we can fix it, but what was never said to your quartet, you always told us, but that's the way of it, we're your mentors and parental, so what's not told to the peers gets said to us." Tiana said to him gently at that.
"Alright so you knew I was married and you knew, it was just weeks before her due date, that you knew whatever happened up there this time. Is the reason my premonitions started going berserk and you were trying to get me to focus, but the word stress that takes on a whole new meaning here. So 1) you knew I was married to their mother, and like me you were waiting for us to tell you, and 2) and more importantly was you wanted to know what happened."
"And this time at the moment, before Obi-wan realized she was pregnant and then realized who the father really is, you knew all along at the time here. And as I told you everything, and Nejaa with you." he said and they nodded. "Yes, but with us being stuck in these bodies again, let's try to get some control over this, as there is no reason to actually trust what he tells you, and not when you already got it at your disposal." Mace said to him and he nodded to that.
"Yes, you knew I was married, or that we were expecting the twins, as it was only a matter of time, before the truth came out, I just didn't know this. I didn't know that it was not one or the other, I had twins right now, but it didn't matter, you knew only one signature that matches them." he said and the duo nodded. "Indeed, we knew, we always knew that married you were, and didn't mind, as long as you healed from loss of Shmi and your clan now."
"And from Darra's loss, let it go we did, and continued turning into the promising padawan and young knight you were, but tell us that truth, that pregnant she was and would have given you sabbatical we would have now, as last assignment, before making Master comes." Yoda said to him and he nodded. "I knew it, I knew that you knew we were married as the truth was going to come out eventually when I told you I needed a sabbatical as you found out why."
"You knew and know only one signature that matches the twins, it's me, so why would I say I need a sabbatical." he said and Yoda nodded as he said it to him gently at that. "Because weeks prior to the twins birthday, it was and decided to tell us ahead of time, so prepare to train the twins we did." he said and Anakin nodded to him. "And with it, if I had another baby, you would know who he belongs to, the boys look like me." he said and Yoda nodded to him
"Indeed I did, but never meant it, in way you thought, but needed you to not be afraid, there is way, but be honest with me." he said and Anakin nodded to him. "Well, second chance to get it right, I have the way of the apprentice, but sure a little impatient, but that's natural, always on the move. In your eyes, then again, there was a reason you considered me your most impatient student in the field of battle." he said and they nodded with a chuckle.
"Not making the same mistakes twice Master, but we got a second chance, by my just paging you mentally before you let him have it, and me with you." he said and the council nodded. "Indeed, second chance we get, but know you better then know yourself, we do, that understand you perfectly, hate your powers. And sensitivity, understand that we do, but tell us what you're thinking, starting now, Anakin." he said and Anakin nodded as he looked into his eyes.
"But though ready mentally, I wasn't ready to let go emotionally, I wanted to stay a padawan here, but you're my mentor, I can't go it on my own, don't know how." he said and Yoda nodded as he pulled him into a hug, and he buried his head into his shoulder then. "Always be there with you, I will Anakin, not leaving you that fast, promise you that I do." he said and he nodded as Mace knew the him they knew had taken total control then as he looked at him.
"Issues with being a padawan, why rush growing up when knowing as you grow older the time is fast approaching when let go right now, you have to. But until then, just enjoy these years while they last, raised you we did, but the you we know, that's the you that managed the impossible, again and again. You did the impossible, and pulled it off here every time now." Yoda said and he nodded as they saw the little boy they knew showing in his eyes again.
"Indeed, and only you could land a ship that had half of the blasted thing missing and get it down without crashing into anything." Mace said as Damon and Tiana started laughing at that. "Nice reminder Mace, as that was my thought when he got us down safely." Obi-wan said as he also started laughing at that. "Yeah and only you knew I could do this without running us into anything, so though Luke was good, I'm even better and you knew this now."
"As you guys raised me, from this age to adulthood, what takes time to learn this as the older we get and the harder it makes to open up to everything. And I mean everything you got to teach us Master, as to that, I take it you knew it was me, that got it down?" he asked and the council all nodded with a chuckle. "Yes, but then we're not surprised right now, there was a reason you were considered the best star pilot in the galaxy, and once again you proved it."
"By landing what was left of the ship that had one problem after another happening to it, and landing it without crashing into anything." Kit said to him and he nodded. "Issues in being your prize pupil, but though good, I just was loaded with the uncertainty till I said it, and after that, that's when I came into my own. Under your tutelage now, and as a result I flourished in my training." he said and the council and the trio nodded smiling gently at that remark.
"Yes, and you may as well say it now, you hate being the chosen one, we understand that padawan." Mace said as he crouched in front of him as he hugged him tightly and he pressed his forehead to his and Mace smiled gently at that. "Being a mentor we're everything you need us to be, from a parent, a mentor, confident, and doctor, we're the ones looking after you, as we put our lives together as one, so you're seeing life here in the temple twins."
"But your father was right, I was everything he ever needed me to be, and we grew up to be the best of friends and brothers." Obi-wan said and Anakin nodded to that. "That was also your godfather's opinion twins, could I fly a ship like this, and my counter remark was did he mean here now. Could I fly what's left of the damn thing, and halfway through it lost the back end, and I landed the forward section." he said and they started laughing at that remark.
"So this is what you were really like with Master and Ben, dad?" Luke asked and they all nodded to him. "Yes, we knew him all his life, that there are things on your family history I knew, that you didn't know that the catch of being the strongest of the family gets annoying at times." Obi-wan said and he nodded. "So when he said good friend, what he really meant is I was his best friend, and the closest thing to a son, that he had, but I'm his baby brother."
"Good friend is code for love like a brother, but he's not the only, the fourth member of our team, Ahsoka Tano also said this about me too now as well, I'm her brother and she loves me like that as well here, but first is father, then Obi-wan, me, Ahsoka and now you Luke." he said and he smiled and nodded. "But this is your godfather and me after I became a Jedi, but we were closer then friends and brothers, but two sides of the same warrior now."
"Guys as I said this is the Jedi council, but for some of the most powerful members, there were both knights and masters on the council at the time. I was in training to join the council, but the 11 you see here are the council of your grandfather's and my age groups, but Coleman, Stass, Shaak Ti, and three others, were the members of the news council, that's including Ben and me." he said and the twins nodded gently at that news then at the remark.
"So the members we just met now, the sextet in addition to Masters Windu, Yoda, Adi, Ki, Kit and Yaddle, are the rest of your council at your current ages. And the sextet that came in after we arrived are the council of the Clone Wars?" Han asked and he nodded. "Yes, but Mace is second in command of the council, but what master meant when he said my own council, though they vote on it, he's got the final say on the subject." he said and the quintet nodded.
"To put it for a better word here, he's the Jedi Grandmaster, the leader of the order." he said and the quintet nodded in shock to that news. "I never saw that coming, so you're really the leader of the order Master Yoda?" Han asked and he nodded. "Indeed I am, but why this was, that making sure of how much your brother learned, before started his training I did, but gone and missing a month, when trying to get to Lando, you were now in this case."
"Training, time and patience it takes, but to learn be free to everything that teach you, I can, must unlearn your old beliefs." he said and Luke nodded. "There were things I knew on the Jedi most never knew, but our history dates back few millennia as a result the Sith came around 500 years after we did. And there was a war between the sides, the ones that survived the initial bloodbath were later dispatched by watchful Jedi, till they were all executed here now."
"All but one, Darth Bane, as he started a new practice on a rule of two: one master, one apprentice, we were never sure which one we destroyed this month. And till after Dooku, your great grandfather fell to the Darkside and then told your godfather, so we kept destroying the apprentices, and then. Finally tried to kill Sidious, but after two tries, I was third times the charm when he let his guard down." he said and Luke nodded to the news with a bemused smile.
"First was Mace, then Master, and then finally me, but we're the strongest of the entire order." he said and Luke nodded. "Yeah that's an understatement, but we were too old for this, and we both got too cocky till you released your anger at the boys, came back, and then let him have it." Mace said to that remark. "Yes, but it's time for putting right what went wrong, the me you know is now more humble then ever, but Masters, I wish for probation now."
"Master as I said, I don't want to be taken back, but be given probation, I made a mistake and I own up to it, I want to be a padawan as long as possible." he said to Yoda and he nodded to him smiling. "Understand I do, and more then relieved I am that returned to me you have, my padawan, love you too my apprentice, but wants you he does, and through me, he will go now." he said and Anakin nodded as he pressed his forehead to Yoda's.
And felt it slam into place and they smiled as Yoda gave him a gentle hug and he buried his head into his shoulder. "Okay it is, shh, okay it is." he said to him softly as he felt him shaking in relief and happiness that the boy had them back and knew this was too much. "So this is you with my father, this is what you guys were really like together Master?" Luke asked and the council all nodded to him. "Indeed yes, it is, Luke." Yoda said to him gently at that.
"But this what looked like I did when Obi-wan and your father, at current age they are now, but took more time on him as came in late, he did." Yoda said and the quartet nodded gently at that. "Leia, boys, just reverse the words, this is the way his race talks, but listen with your heart and you can understand him." Anakin told them and the trio nodded. "I'm lucky that Chewie and I were the ones that remember what he sounded like." Luke said to that remark.
"Indeed, but at the time of the purge, on Kashhyk I was at the time, before your father turned, Chewbacca and his friend Tarfun, with me they were when the clones tried to attack me." he said and Luke nodded to the news gently. "Takes time and patience to understand you, I know that, but like dad and Obi-wan, you mean just as much to me now, Master, I knew I made a mistake in leaving before you told me, and I too own up to it, now, time to train."
"And I'm like the rest of you as I learn from your friends and other students now, but I take it everyone in all three age groups were trained by you?" he asked and Yoda nodded. "Indeed yes Luke, as I said, for 800 years have I tried Jedi, now." he said and Anakin nodded. "And as a result son, but it's you spend as many years as we have together, growing up with him raising you, you learn to interpret what he's saying now as a result."
"But none of us can imagine not having him there with us, as he trained us, raised us, his opinion matters the most, he was the other Jedi Master now. That I respected here growing up, so to me, he's now the one I'm connected to, in this version of our lives, so he's the one training me here now. And I've got the trio to teach me to balance out the colors scheme, as I'm practically glowing purple in their eyes right now, as to that right now, it's a matter of."
"And I need you to understand, but what he means when old acts cast dark shadows, he means that your past can shape your future if you let it. As to that, never let your fear get in the way or it starts the downward slide." he said and the quintet nodded smiling gently at that, as the council nodded sternly. "Said bad shadows that one act causes a chain reaction in losses till the person they pertain finally is so desperate to save who's left of who he loves here now."
"That he never considers that this is what the enemy wants right now, but don't fall for it, as though we lost a few people of the core of our command and order, the majority are still alive, it's going to be fine, just don't quit, don't give up, son." Damon said and Mace finished that. "And I'm not falling for it twice, my actions the night we realized it was him they can not be undone, but I can re-shape the future here, as it's I can clone myself, or we fake what happens."
"I don't care, so long as I never lose you guys again, that's all I can about right now, so Vader is my alter ego, and he never considers right now in this. That this is precisely what Sidious wants right now." Anakin said and Mace nodded sternly in agreement to that. "And whatever you're thinking here, on that, don't even go there right now, we got thirteen years to plan this out, so we look into how we can do this, without you losing all four limbs here."
"But actually saying that, I'm not even considering that consideration here right now, Anakin." Mace said to him and he nodded. "I get why right now, but too little, too late, and we never see this is what he wants, in your actions and mine." he said and Mace nodded. "Young man, we're giving you a chance on being Obi-wan's apprentice, but anymore stunts out of jealousy, and you're being expelled." Damon said to Ferus sternly at that and he nodded shaking.
"He's had enough for now, but again Ferus, I'm not dealing in a case of rivalry, but have you ever been in a killed or be killed situation, saving the lives. And of billions of people by committing a self defense kill?" he asked and Ferus and Tru swallowed hard at that remark. "Unless you been in that situation you will never understand, he's had to do that force knows how many times and frankly he knows what I want more then you do."
"Anakin proved he could handle this without committing an act out of sheer jealousy." he said as Anakin straightened as he turned around slowly as he looked at Tru Veld. "You may not have said anything yet, but I remember now, you wanted it to sound like I knew and never said anything, it was all you." he said and Mace crossed his arms at the news as Tru paled as the twins crossed their arms at that information.
"My wife is going to kill you herself if this results in repeater, but what did it matter I never told you anything, I did everything at the time. I was becoming who they wanted me to be by the time we hit Korriban, but though I heard the entire thing I turned you in immediately. And you still try to save yourselves by making an implication, uh uh, it was you who did it all, I turned you into the Masters." he said and they both paled at that remark.
"It was these two, dad?" Han said sternly and he nodded. "And the catalyst that started it all was because of your adopted mother, Lando, Lando this is Darra Thel Thanis, my girlfriend when I was teenager." Anakin said and they all nodded sternly as the duo both paled at that remark. "Who are these people?" Tru said shaking and he said it sternly. "My family as adults, and to Chewie, honor family." he said and they all nodded in shock.
"Lando is Master Damon's grandson." Anakin said and they paled at that news in shock. "He can't be his grandson!" he snapped in shock to that. "Get a good look at us, young man, I'm virtually identical to my grandfather, your version is 42, correct?" he asked and the boys nodded. "Well add the 23 years when from when the twins were born to when we destroyed the second death star buster." Han said sternly at that and they swallowed hard at that.
"The man that asked me that question happens to be my son in law, but they wanted to know what caused me to turn, but not any one thing. And if it was Mace, Master and the council, and even Obi-wan, could see it coming from a mile away." Anakn said and they both swallowed hard at that. "He's right we could have seen this coming if it was any one trauma young man, but that's enough of this." Damon said and they both paled at that remark.
"You just left them scared out of their minds that my grandchildren could also turn." Anakin told him sternly and they swallowed hard at that. "I'm just saying this, but stay the hell away from my grandfather and adopted parents, you're not welcome whatsoever you little brat, stay away from my family." Lando said sternly to Ferus and he nodded shaking at his remark at the order and Anakin patted his shoulder and he nodded to him.
"Fast track testing for another 3 years, but the first mistake committed is getting you expelled, but I know everything now, but we're no longer your us, but his us now." Mace said sternly and they both paled as Adi left her hands on Anakin's shoulders then. "The partner switch is him with me, and you with Qui-Gon Ferus, but you try that twice and you are in big trouble, is that clear?" she said sternly and he nodded shaking to her then.
"And get this through your heads, I hate my powers, my sensitivity to the force and my title, it's brought me nothing but hardship and pain. Since was this age, and how the hell am I'm supposed to believe in my powers if I can't use them to save who I love right now." he said and sighed. "There I said it, but you're the reason for it now." he said and they swallowed hard at that and the council, Qui-Gon, Damon, Tiana and Clee nodded.
"I don't and never wanted things to change and it's because Zan Arbor that they did, living force, I live in the moment, never mind the past and future. I make friends and make a lot of them and sense deception, but this round I have friends immediately, she's training me to equalize it now. This prophecy has brought me nothing but hardship and pain, I want to be normal, like you and I can't, I hate being the one it rests on."
"And how the heck am I supposed to believe in these things, my powers and when someone like you gets so jealous it costs me who I love?" he said and they both swallowed hard at his remark. "You're not my friend and you never were, this was never about friendship, you wanted to destroy me and instead you destroy yourselves, by using me to do it, but enough!" he snapped and they nodded shaking at that as Darra took his hand.
Just as he was saying it, their radios started going berserk. "There it is, if we all got our memories back, so did the alliance, we been commed!" Clee shouted out and Mace nodded to the news as they heard a fast remark. "Yeah Clee, I'm getting repeated calls over here, but we all got it back, but that's no longer a promise ring and charm, that's my engagement necklace!" Padme said and they all nodded smiling in relief at the news.
"Honey we'll see you in six months like we promised right now, be careful though." Anakin said smiling and she nodded. "I will I love you, Annie, twins, Han, I will see you all in six months guys." she said and they all nodded smiling. "You too mom, see you in 6 months." the trio called out together at that. "Gods talk about information overload, this means our adults selves are trapped in these bodies." Lana said and Anakin nodded to her gently.
"Too late Lana, at the moment, of us in the six of us, you're closest to me, in age, and you acted like I was your kid brother." he said to her and she smiled and hugged him tightly at that. "And I get you back finally, but like the girls there is no need to change to get that power, the only way I could die. Is if I lose you to the darkside, don't do it, baby brother, I'm not losing you again." she said and he nodded as he pressed his forehead to hers.
"But boy am I glad to get you guys back." he said and his clan smiled and surrounded him. "Good to have you back, brother." the sextet said together then as Darra Thel Thanis gave him a hug and he tightened his arms around her, as he pressed his forehead to her's. "Gods I missed you so much Darra." he said and she smiled. "Missed you too my Annie, but back together and stronger together, we're back." she said and smiled as he smiled back at her.
"And we're back, but stronger together, guys?" he asked and pulled out his and the 7 smiled and pulled their's. "Stronger together!" they shouted out as they put their lightsabers together and Mace, Qui-Gon, Adi, Tiana and Damon exchanged smiles at that. "I did warn you Ferus, sooner or later you were going to cross the line and when you did I was turning you in, but they remember everything now." Anakin said and he swallowed hard at his remark then.
"Annie, my Annie." Darra said and he smiled. "Missed you too Darra, but back together my friend." he said and she smiled as she pressed her forehead to his as she said the words then gently at this. "In this world or the next, only you my love, only you, I pledge myself to you Anakin Skywalker." she said and he smiled. "And I to you, Darra Thel Thanis." he said to her smiling and she wrapped her hand around the back of his neck then.
"All padawans get with their teams, but Anakin and you young man, you're in reverse starting now." Adi said and they nodded as Anakin moved to her and Siri and Ferus to Obi-wan and Qui-Gon then gently. "Training in one on one starting now, but still 3 years till you go into the field, we're training you in one on one before you go into the field." Damon said to the 10 and they all nodded as Anakin crossed his arms as he looked at Ferus.
"Is that a problem right now, I got picked before I arrived." he said to him and he looked at him in shock. "You know, I'm not surprised you tried to get me in trouble, but your problem is your pride, you never want to share the lime light, because I only just arrived. And already I've got the way of the apprentice here right now, you're jealous that my scores beat your's in practical and theoretical and you're also jealous that they picked first to get everything."
"Your pride is what destroyed you in the end, envy, pride and anger." he said and the other boy paled. "Ferus, you maybe good, but unless you control that arrogance, it could be your undoing, I gained lessons you don't learn till you start one on one." he said and the boy looked at him in shock at the remark then. "Want to go it in a test run, as you see what training would be like as our teams, as well as the Merrin/Gaul and Calrissian/Attana teams."
"Are choosing who's left of the four of us in our side of our clan as father would never allow the attitude you're showing me to go by unchecked?" he asked and the boy swallowed hard at that "Yes and I agree with that." Qui-Gon said to this gently. "Speaking of which, into the training Stalles." Mace said and they nodded to the orders as they and their mentors walked in there for a remote training session as Anakin put on the hood that was connected to the cloak.
"Annie remember, feel don't think, just use your instincts." Qui-Gon said to him and he nodded as he relaxed and left the force flow through him as he saw the shock in the other boy's body language then. "Time to see which of them makes it clear in training, as the pride is a sin, but arrogance is pride, which is a sin, and left unchecked, can and will destroy, unless he lets go, and this is going to start all over again." Mace said to this and Adi and Yoda
As Siri carefully zipped up the back of the cover to block out any and all sounds and sights. "Fighters back to back." Mace called out and they went back to back then as they heard several blasts and he carefully deflected each one. "Mind your footing, and cast out all anger and impatience!" Damon shouted out to them and Anakin hid a nod to the orders as he tried to connect to Ferus, who was ignoring him then.
'Ferus, come on, let me in, we got to do it together.' he thought trying to connect to him as he dodged each blast and tried to defend him as he heard the next remark of advice this time from Adi and he knew she was getting irritated at Ferus for his attitude. "Rivalry and competitiveness held no place in this exercise." Adi called out and he nodded as he tried to join with Ferus, but only got a dull slate and nodded sternly as he ignored that.
And went to defending him and himself anyway. "Time!" Clee shouted out and they froze. "You did it again Ferus, ignore me so you can act as number one, she knows it too." Anakin said sternly and the council, Damon, Qui-Gon and Tiana nodded sternly in agreement. "Left the door shut, so never mind the door, I was protecting him whether he wanted me to or not." Anakin said to the sextet and the council nodded to him gently.
"And by that observation, Anakin, you just passed the test right now, nicely done, but you, Ferus failed, Annie, care to tell me why?" Mace asked and he nodded. "He never left the door open." he said and the sextet all nodded. "Very good and what does that do?" Qui-Gon asked and he explained that to him gently. "Join with the strength and cover the weakness, and together we're stronger together." he said and Qui-Gon nodded to him gently.
"So if I was teaching this to your brother and sister, what's the key point?" he asked and Anakin nodded as he said it to Ferus. "We're stronger together then as individuals, but in his words, we both have our strengths and weaknesses, that's for the other side to realize. But the key in training is to combine with the strength and cover the weakness, and together we are stronger, but only, only if we set aside our differences."
"And work together as one." he said and Adi nodded gently. "There that's just the point." Qui-Gon said for her and Ferus paled at his remark, as Darra took Anakin's hand and he squeezed hers in response and she smiled at that response. "But he..." he started to say and Qui-Gon crossed his arms. "He is not my padawan, we are only talking about you, but he's correct on all counts, you combine with the strength and cover the weakness."
"And together you are stronger together, but only if you set aside your differences and work as one." he said and Ferus said it dejectedly. "He would do no better then I did for real." he said and Qui-Gon said it sternly at that. "That maybe, but remember padawan, the fear of looking like a fool is no reason to do something, or not to do it, for it is a fear born of weakness." he said and Ferus nodded sadly at his disapproval then firmly.
"But I'm not looking for a rivalry here, I belong to the Gallia/Tachi team, and partial to your own." he said and Ferus Olin nodded in shock. "Who do I belong to if you're saying this?" he asked and Qui-Gon answered that sternly. "Obi-wan and I are giving you a chance young man, but I suggest you leave his training to his own team, but that attitude is not tolerated." he said and the boy swallowed hard at his remark at that.
"Yeah and this is what I missed in that time-line, if you trained him and finished me, till I was 30 and we had a way to corral his annoyance, before he pushed him too far." Obi-wan said to him and he nodded in agreement. "Agreed, and I see that myself, but he's not normal even by our standards, and in his case, different can be dangerous, even I know that." he said and Mace and Adi nodded as Anakin blurted it out to them and Yoda then.
"I hate my powers, my sensitivity and my title, so I want to be normal but I can't and in my case different is deadly." he said and the other boy nodded shaking at that. "But Master Adi is like my mother, I need a maternal figure, but turns out I can fit any of the teams, as I have everything they aspire to as a padawan to their units, got into a long one on one talk enroute here, and Obi-wan is my big brother now." he said and the duo nodded in shock.
As Adi moved behind Anakin and he leaned against her in response as she left her hands on his shoulders gently at that, just as she was saying it they heard a loud clang. "I thought we fixed her!" Master Clee Rhara snapped and turned. "Fixed who exactly?" Han asked and Anakin quickly answered that as he looked out the door. "Master Dantallion's personal guide droid, she's been acting up for years since she was killed 9 years ago."
"But my age group are all mechanics, and even they can't fix her, but I'm good at this, but she's had me fix her at least thirty times in 10 years and this is the case of the bi polar disorder if she was human, she's hit her breaking point and is headed for the launch pad." he said and checked then. "Come on girl I know you're in pain, but you need to give me time to fix you, but there is no need to kill yourself here." he said to her gently as he timed it correctly.
"Not again, I knew we should have deactivated her, after Tahl was killed that year." Qui-Gon said to this and he nodded in agreement. "No joke, but it's having to repair the bugs in her that's slowly getting annoying, but growing up with a constant companion here, it's tedious here. At times, but some of you it's not so easy training an apprentice after you missed with the last one, and this is connected to the Chuns again." Anakin said to that and the council nodded.
"You think whatever Xanatos did to her, is causing this?" Mace asked and he nodded. "Yeah I do, but if Omega broke in again and did it to her twice, she's had a nervous breakdown, from having her cerebral cortex screwed around with one too many times, I got to dump the old data and fix that." he said and they nodded to him. "Alright easy girl, there is no reason to try to get rid of that data this way." Damon said and Mace nodded in agreement to that.
"So what the hell was that?" Lando asked him and he said it. "She broke down the door of our work shop and is running loose in the halls. Ahh no, not again, Toojay stop, hold it right there, blast it, alright that's it right now!" Anakin snapped and quickly and in one shot took her down as he deactivated her and then quickly checked her. "Mother she's suffering depression, bordering on suicide." he said and she nodded bemused.
"She heading for the landing pad?" Mace asked and he nodded. "Yes Master." he said and they nodded. "You better sedate her, before she tries that twice, I can fix her, but she needs to give me a chance to do so now." he said and they nodded as they yanked her power pack at that. "It's going to be a long six months if I have to keep her from trying it twice." Mace said and he nodded with a chuckle at that remark then gently.
"And our team is split in half till the full partner up of all four of us." Qui-Gon said to Adi and he nodded in agreement. "Agreed, we need to keep the boys apart, but what I will say is when we do this, you better keep Ferus with you when in the missions. That are involving my unit, Anakin knows what I want without a debate." she said and he nodded in agreement to that remark as he answered her gently at that.
"You're right I do, but I can get in Obi-wan's head to know what he's thinking, but Siri and I think alike here, so a mission like the Slams it's back to that again here." he said and she nodded to that. "Indeed, but you know what you need to do honey, but stay clear of the power couplings, once I assign you to the twins mother again, okay." she said and he nodded. "Yes Mother, I will." he said and she nodded as Mace and Yoda hid a chuckle at that remark.
"Great that's all we need, that in the middle of the chase down, he's actually getting the drop on that changeling, but that's taking the remark. And in getting the drop on someone, literally, going a bit too far here." Mace said as he started laughing at that remark and she nodded. "And I hate it when he does that, just to end the lecture, he's stepping out of the speeder, timed it right and I see her with him on her speeder." Obi-wan said through his at that.
"Now you know why Master told that to the twins, you're as bad as I am Obi-wan, in trying to end the lecture, before the punchline, but there it is. You're too much like me as it big brother." he said and Obi-wan nodded smiling at that. "Yes and you know my training strategies, but again, 10 years in that area, for him, but he does it again, and he's gone and I'm taking you on for the final four, before the purge, little brother." he said in response and he nodded.
"Alright time for a swap up, so Tiana on me, Damon you got Annie and the girls starting now." Qui-Gon said she nodded in agreement. "Well looks like we're always together now without a debate." Darra said to Anakin and he nodded in agreement to that remark. "Expecting trouble ladies?" he asked and the trio nodded. "Yes and whoever started it this time, is not turning into repeated arguments now." Damon said to him and he nodded to him.
"I'll say, but you're like father where training in P.T. is concerned." he said and Damon nodded smiling at that remark. "Yeah and I want to see you and Darra in action, but let's keep this under control shall we guys?" he asked and he nodded as their own padawans nodded smiling. "Wait till we and Lana and Corran develop that door between us so deeply nothing is getting between us." Anakin said to her and she nodded in agreement to that.
"Yeah and I work best with you, but my best friend, but if you married Padme, I can manage with the first two, but I love you, and only you. But no matter how many years go by Annie, you and only you, you're my soul-mate." she said and he nodded smiling at her then. "Gods I missed you so much, we can do this together easily starting now." he said to her and she nodded as she hugged him tightly at that remark then.
"Hey Lana, want to go at it?" he asked and she smiled as she and Anakin started sparring. "Yeah alright, swap off, Annie with Corran." Damon said and he nodded as they started practicing. "I think he's going to do great once we release that anger at Ferus and Tru." Siri said and Soara nodded in agreement. "Yeah, but we're always on mission after we do that four partner pair up." she said and Siri nodded in agreement to that.
"And I think he was trying to annoy him, but Anakin was trying to lead, as he knew the technology more then he did, but Anakin would tell me the truth. And without the added trouble, but Ferus was trying to make it sound like he was lying but Anakin's education is up to me and me only." she said and Adi nodded. "Yes and the practice run is going from now till they're 19 to 21, it happens again and he's being suspended."
"But first duty, either tell us the truth or you don't deserve to carry that lightsaber any longer." she said and Siri nodded sternly. "But him to me, me to you, and he's in deep trouble, but always on Anakin to follow the code and the irony is he never does it himself." she said and Damon and Adi nodded. "Yes we got that, but enough is enough." Mace said to that as he crossed his arms at that remark then sternly at that statement.
"Alright guys time to call it, and nice warm up, even recovery from being stuck like that, you remember everything in training." Damon said gently and he smiled. "Master, you mind?" he asked and Mace smiled as he went to sparring with him and they practiced together as he leaped over the swing at his legs and then ducked another as they went at it then as Qui-Gon, who was watching from his spot then gently at that, smiled
"Yeah alright that's good, nicely done padawan, I'm proud of you." he said and Anakin bowed to him and Mace with a gentle smile on his face, gently probing his aura, he saw him pulsing purple and nodded. "Yes, it's working, he's going to be fine now." Obi-wan said to Mace and Yoda and they both nodded. "Yes and a few more months and he creates his starter with a new color." Mace said and Yoda nodded in agreement to that remark.
"To Ilum take him you will, but after take him to Dagobah I will, to face the evil in his soul." he said and Obi-wan nodded to the orders gently. "I think we started something here right now with him, since he got his memories back and us with him, we stand a better chance." Damon said to Yoda and he nodded. "Indeed and see that too myself I do." he said and Mace nodded in agreement to that remark as Siri hid a laugh at that.
"Just how stupid do the duo think we are here, you never would lie to us, and besides you never would have changed if it hadn't been for their idiocy." Soara said to this and Anakin nodded sternly. "Yeah and I won't, but my first priority is to my pair up and not the second pair up they got a problem with that, well get over it, we're Jedi, but we're padawans, had orders, period." he said to her and she nodded in agreement as Darra hugged him tightly.
"Our pair up, but the four of us got more chemistry and though you're connected to Obi-wan and Qui-Gon still, you could fit anyone of the three of us. Or Tiana and Ry easily, even Mace and Nejaa, but we all have one thing in common with each other, said is our humanoid emotions here right now. But we made a fatal mistake by not changing that code, and you paid the price, this is the you I remember when I met you." Siri said smiling and he nodded to her.
"And it will be me again, so there is no BPD here, I'm the me that father knew and Obi-wan knew as they were the first to meet me, before you had." he said smiling and she smiled and nodded. "We're lone wolves, you should be with your own kind, and first is orange, then hot pink, near violet and now violet, but there it is, you control the evil and you're a guardian, baby." she said and he nodded as Mace smiled at the remark as he got it then.
"Well this should be interesting, when traveling, the boys got to get used to being together, and we're always together, but two of one version and one of the other, that's the way of it for us." he said and she nodded in agreement to that. "Yeah but our mentors are half the original team, but you and I were always together, we got along fine, but from the time we became team-mates I always came first and you always protected us."
"But to you, our safety came first over the boys, they could take care of themselves, we need you more." she said and he nodded to her gently. "Yeah, but though not perfect, I was perfect for you, my temper you could control that easily, but I was your everything, you never wanted to let go." he said and she nodded smiling. "Yeah I didn't, but the only way I could die is if I lose you again, don't change, Annie, don't."
"I don't want to lose you again." she said and he nodded and she hugged him tightly at that and he sighed then. "Get ready for that mission, regarding the boarding school though, if he decides to do what you did and he's in big trouble. You knew better and if he was trying to get you in trouble then he's the one in trouble, as this is crossing lines here." Siri told him and he nodded to her gently as he looked at her smiling gently at that.
"Well you should run them through that test again, if he does it twice and he's not meant to be a padawan or a Jedi, I did my job." he said and their parental mentors nodded gently at that. "By that point your father and I are temporarily retired from the field baby." Adi said to him and he nodded. "I know mother, but frankly you know I would never do a thing like this and turn them in immediately for it." he said and she nodded as she looked into his eyes.
"And why would you lie to me, knowing if you did I could never trust you again, but 10 years makes a big difference, that we fixed what went wrong." she said and he nodded as he looked into her eyes as she saw the him she knew shining in his eyes then gently at that. "And I bet if they created a story like this right now, it's enough I reached my limit, I never lied to you guys before, I'm not about to start now." he said to her and Mace and they nodded.
"Anakin." they heard and Anakin turned around at that. "What you want Tru, as our friendship was over the minute you gave that implication." he said and the duo paled at that. "What was said exactly right now, to have them be the first target for that purge?" Qui-Gon asked and Anakin crossed his arms. "We're doing that conversation in front of our mentors guys." he said and they paled at that remark as the eight, Mace and Yoda crossed their arms at that.
"I really would like to know what made him say that the Jedi turned on him and his saying the Jedi are evil." Obi-wan added sternly at that. "Now I may not be his apprentice anymore, but never mind that, he raised me in the other time-line, he's my brother and best friend here, you two. So with that, the title of brother and best friend, mentor and father, as we're 14 to 16 years younger then they are, belongs to him." he said and they swallowed hard at that.
"You or him and the council, the team, no choice necessary, it's them and it will always be them so duty to your friends be damned, I'm duty to the truth. I don't care if you think I'm a traitor, as they matter more to me then both of you together here, but with him and by extension I'm with the council. Well I consider that a compliment, not an insult here, I never lied to them before and I'm not going to start now." he said and they swallowed hard at that.
"I'm the first to get everything in our quartet, but that's because I'm the perfect padawan, because I'm not perfect and they never want me to be. As that perfection, shows a layer of darkness and sooner or later it's revealed that you're a sociopath, before turning into a psychopath." he said and Tru and Ferus both paled at the remark. "You did that the day that Darra chose me over you, but she never wanted you, she wanted me, I'm not perfect here."
"But to her I am perfect to her, to my wife, and to one of my friends at home, they, their parents, see me as everything they want for their daughters, Damon included here." he said and Ferus swallowed hard at that remark then. "What you're about to hear here, just reverse the words, him in my place, and me in his now, Darra is alive and she belongs to me, she chose me, and she is alive, she's fine, Father." he said and Qui-Gon nodded to him as they did.
"Anakin please don't do this." Ferus said desperately and he crossed his arms at that. "You did it to yourselves Ferus, all I had to do was show up for it, but perfect brings arrogance, arrogance is pride, and short leap to self destruction, you destroyed yourself by not admitting it was your faults. It was your fault she was dead in their time-line, why didn't you come forward." he asked them and they paled at his remark as he said it then sternly.
"But I've been playing what happened on Korriban in my head from the second we got back here, but honestly, I have to wonder, really I have to wonder." he said and Mace crossed his arms as he said it for the five of them gently. "What do you wonder Annie?" he asked and he said it. "I saw how you traded knowing looks as you exchanged lightsabers in the cave. That there was a chance it could go during the fight, that you knew I knew and I was stuck in a trap."
"And that I couldn't get in front of her in time to save either of you, you or her, Ferus, that there it was, there was a chance it could go then. Not my friend, I said to myself, my friend wouldn't do that, but then I thought of how wary you were of me after Zan Arbor. You knew how I felt about Ferus, I was upset, you would want me to look like the failure. The failure of a Jedi I was, that you claimed me to be, ever since Yaddle was killed."
"Even if it meant not saying anything until it shorts out and one, or all of us, are killed by both Omega and Sidious. You would want me to get blamed for it shorting out or exploding, even if it meant putting the entire team at risk till one of us is killed." he said and Tru swallowed hard as he said it quickly to that remark quickly at that as Qui-Gon crossed his arms as he said it in denial to that, knowing nothing he said changed what he'd done then.
"That's not fair!" he said in denial to that and Anakin sighed as he looked at him sadly at that, as sadly and with disappointed resignation as he said it to him. "And suddenly I realized-yes, Tru could have done that." he said and the council crossed their arms. "You're looking at this all wrong." Tru said quickly and Anakin and Darra shook their heads to that. "I don't think so, I think I truly am seeing you for the first time." he said sadly, to that remark then.
As he turned away from him and Darra pressed her forehead to Anakin's. "If things had been different and she survived this, I might not have changed at all, but the fact I did is this, but you were playing with fire, and the ones that get burned. Is our entire order, and Master is left picking up the shattered remains of his life and Obi-wan with him." he said and they swallowed hard at that remark as she turned to him softly then at this remark.
"I gave up everything I had from that side of me, I begin anew, the me that died a slowly turning dark Jedi. That person is gone and in place, is the me I was when Padme met me that day, a week ago now finally. And Obi-wan and father found me, I can't fix the damage they made to their careers now, nor can we fix the damage this has done to our friendship. I can forgive them, but in my eyes, they lost more then their chance at early graduation."
"But I can offer a way so they can learn from this experience as they see me change from the person they thought I was changing into. And they see me become a Guardian as powerful as the two best masters that understand that. We all have light and darkness in us, but the part we chose to act on is most important, that is who we really are." he said and she nodded. "Be that person then, Annie." she said and he nodded to her softly.
"I'll see you outside." she said and he nodded in agreement to that. "Alright, give me 15 minutes and then I'll join you on the landing." he said and she nodded as she left the room, as she looked at the duo sadly and in disappointment then. As he hugged her tightly at that as she pressed her forehead to his in response then. And as Ferus felt his heart break and Tru felt his heart fall to the floor, knowing it was over then.
Knowing he lost the most important people of his life then as the council nodded, nothing he did could erase the damage that his choices had caused. "I see this as your choices cost you everything now, young man." Tiana said to his sternly. "You see what you have done?" Ferus asked him angrily and Anakin nodded to him sadly. "Yes I do, but do you?" he asked and then sighed as he looked between them sadly as he said it then.
"Honestly, I'm afraid for you, you think admitting you are wrong makes you weak and leaves you open to attack." he said and Ferus shook his head. "That's not true, I think you should save your fears for yourself." he said and Anakin looked into his eyes. "If the Jedi need me I will be there, that includes you and Tru, Ferus." he said and came to a decision, knowing he was in council training as he looked at the head of the council.
"I'm not like you, I am a Master Guardian Ferus, far more powerful, you call this darkness, no I control the evil in my heart and I'm a guardian, so with that. If anyone turned into a dark Jedi that day, it was you." he said and they paled at that remark then. "Who chose duty to your friends, over duty to the truth, who didn't turn in that truth your lightsaber needed a new crystal, before it goes, who wanted to get into the acceleration program here."
"And was willing to kill the entire team to get into it, us or graduating earlier, to you, Tru, it was a no choice needed, you turned on us." he said and they both swallowed hard at that. "I didn't care I was the first to get into it, but then I'm not ready to let go, after only 7 years in training, I want more time and I want to enjoy this while it lasts, you went to the darkside to graduate earlier, you're Sith now." he said sternly and they swallowed hard at that.
"But the first chosen, the first into the field, the first to get chosen for the acceleration trials, make knight, get a padawan, make council and make master. All by the time I was 23, but you know what, the hard part of growing up as we know we got to let go, but some of us are not ready to right now. I wasn't, but thanks to you, you cost me 5 years critical training to make council and make master, it's not happening again." he said sternly at that remark.
"Everything I have done was a result of you turning on us, stabbing me in the back and killing Darra, so you see now, that the order never would have been wiped if not for you, and now we're in the past, in these bodies and got to do everything all over again, but you see my family there?" he asked and they looked at the quintet standing there. "Starting now, they're watching you like a hawkbat." he said and they paled at that and Yoda nodded sternly.
"They see any sign of the undercurrent darkness in either of you, as the council, and your mentors spend all their time on me, they see possession. Hate, anger and crazy jealous, it's being told immediately to Master and the council, so choose your words wisely, for they maybe your last in your career padawan." he said and the council nodded. "Indeed you are under probation starting now, so choose your words wisely." Mace said to that and Yoda nodded.
"Master, I don't wish to be taken back, I wish for probation." Anakin said to him and he and Yoda nodded. "And receive it you shall, made a mistake, learn from it, and move on now, from it Padawan." Yoda said and he bowed gently to him as he leaned against Siri's side and she wrapped her arm around his shoulders gently. "There's the you we know, be the man you once were again Annie." she said softly and he nodded softly at that remark.
"You understand this now, before I was made a member of the Clone Wars council, I was in training to make it, but there it is, in that time-line. My appointment to the council, it was unwilling, as Sidious gave the order, in this time-line, I'm training to make the council and in for 16 years. So you maybe a Jedi, but I outrank you, as I am on the Jedi high council." he said and they paled as they saw the stern looks on both version of the council then.
