Da Goes Bye-Bye
"No! Please!"
'Annie."
"Da!"
"Dada!"
Annabelle sat on the couch with her face in her hands and she sobbed. Her mind kept replaying Noah being taken away by the police and she grabbed the tissues out of the box. She knew Noah had his secrets, but he told her he was afraid she would take the twins and leave if she learned the truth. She told him he was just being silly, but she was shocked when he finally told her the truth.
And now he was gone.
She looked at her two-year-old twins standing on the couch cushions and they were looking out the window. They had been standing there since Noah had been taken and she noticed they were holding hands. They turned their heads to look at her when they carefully moved closer and she placed them on her lap.
"Da go bye-bye," Connor said, leaning his head against her chest.
"Aye, he did," Annabelle said, kissing the top of his head.
"No cry, Ma," Murphy said, leaning against her chest and she kissed the top of his head. She looked at them as she silently swore no one would ever take them from her and she gently wrapped her arms around her little angels.
