ATM: The Bonehead and the Brain – The Boy is Mine
Now that Seth knows the whole Truth about Sasha and Roman, the Shield have a very difficult decision to make. With the New Year just around the corner, DX do everything they can to stop things from getting out of control.
Chapter Eight – The Girl in the Golden Choo's
Miguel's, Midtown, New York City, NY
Hayworth invited the Street Profits and the Flairs over for dinner at his New York apartment but the plans quickly changed when Stephanie McMahon called a meeting at her hotel and the Flairs and the Profits had to attend.
After re-scheduling, Hayworth took Charlene MacKenzie to Miguel's, an exclusive restaurant mostly populated by new couples in the city. DX Inc were running a show on Friday and Hayworth would be meeting up with his father tomorrow and he hoped he could see Seth Rollins before then.
Things were going really well between Hayworth and Mac and he wanted to get some advice from the man who knew his girlfriend the best. He'd even met her father, the Senior Pastor of Clearwater Baptist Chruch Charles MacKenzie and he wanted to prove to Mac's father that his intentions towards her were completely honourable. All they'd done was kiss and hold hands and when things got too hot between them, Hayworth was sure to cut it off and let things calm down. Mac liked taking things slow but the Truth was Hayworth wanted to speed things up. His feelings for Mac were serious and he didn't want her to think he was happy just dating her, he really wanted to take their relationship to the next level which meant, getting engaged. He knew what his father would say, that he was crazy and he should just sleep with her and keep it casual. But after meeting Mac's father and getting to know the people at Clearwater Baptist Church, Hayworth wanted more.
The folk at Clearwater loved the MacKenzie's and they were sure she'd break up with him until Seth Rollins "came to his senses" and encouraged her to get married to the right man. As far as Hayworth was concerned, he was the only man Charlie Mac should be with, he just had to make sure that he was going down the right path. There were certain things Hayworth wanted to cover off before he made a formal engagement; he'd never dated a black woman before and it was an area that Seth, unlike his father, had a lot of experience in, being married to the Boss certainly helped that.
MacKenzie noticed that Hayworth was smiling more often as she raised her glass of Chardonnay to her perfectly glossed lips, "I know that look," she said to Hayworth warmly before stroking her long black ponytail. "That's the "things are getting serious" look, what's on your mind Hayworth?"
Hayworth touched the surface of MacKenzie's knuckles before giving her fingers a squeeze while resting on his elbow and gazing up at her from the side.
"You are so beautiful," he said in admiration and she gave him the famous MacKenzie smile.
"I like you too Hayworth, being with you sure makes a change from dating someone with so many muscles," MacKenzie replied and Hayworth blew off the comment.
"I got muscles, muscles in my brain. That's why I graduated Harvard early and I'm running a successful hot dog business out of New York City," Hayworth said proudly and he shrugged in conciliation, "but if you like muscles I could get muscles, I could train like a gym nut and be jacked by New Years, if that's what you want. I'd do it for you MacKenzie,"
MacKenzie nodded enthusiastically, "I love your brain but I see so much potential under that shirt, why don't you bring it out?" she said amorously and Hayworth nodded with just as much enthusiasm.
"If brains and muscles is what you want, then brains and muscles is what you'll get. I want to be your perfect man," Hayworth said earnestly. "Tell me what you want Mac, I'll get it to you, just say the word and its yours. I'd lay the world at your feet, I want you to like me as much as I like you and I really, really like you,"
MacKenzie sighed, "I've heard this all before, you're hardly breaking new ground here Hayworth. Be yourself, that's enough for me. I said I really like you and with your smarts and my smarts combined, we make a really good couple. You don't have to impress me, I'm already dating you, the hard work is done. Most guys don't even get a call back and you haven't even tried to sleep with me yet. I really like your restraint and your self-respect. It must be those Helmsley genes,"
Hayworth blew that comment off too, as far as he was concerned, he was nothing like his father. As much as he loved his father, he knew the type of man he was when it came to women and if Hunter had ever dated MacKenzie, she would have been on her back and topless after the second date. That's not the man Hayworth wanted to be. He liked long dates, he liked looking into MacKenzie's eyes for ages and he enjoyed having conversation with her. He respected her background and her family and if things kept on going this good, he wanted her to be a part of his family too. His big Boneheaded family.
"My father would have only wanted one thing from you Mac, I want that too but I like you more than I think I want that thing that people do when they can't stop touching each other. I've really enjoyed these last few dates and I'm happy if we keep our hands to ourselves for awhile. As long as you're okay with that of course," Hayworth said and MacKenzie gave him another breathtaking smile.
"I'm fine either way. Its up to you, I'm ready when you are," MacKenzie said and Hayworth nodded.
"That's perfect," he said and he kissed her hand gently and Mac giggled. "and so are you,"
MacKenzie found herself blushing for the first time in a long time. Hayworth was having an unusual effect on her. It was something she wasn't used to and she felt herself growing anxious. The feelings she had for Hayworth were going beyond the physical, they actually had a connection like the connection between two genuine friends. Mac was starting to realise that this could be the relationship she'd dreamt of since she was a teenager but she wanted to make sure she wasn't seeing something that wasn't there. She never thought these thoughts about the men she dated but here she was at Miguel's, feeling the way she felt about Seth Rollins over a year ago. Things were indeed getting serious between HayMac and now Hayworth wasn't the only one who wanted to speak to the Architect about their relationship.
The Enigmatic Hotel, Central Park West, New York City, NY
The Architect however was in no speaking mood. He was going to speak momentarily to his wife about the devastating news that he and the rest of the Shield had gotten about Sasha and Roman and he knew the conversation was not going to go well. The Shield and the majority of the roster were in New York for the Smackdown show tomorrow at MSG and Seth's body was still in a state of denial. It took extreme effort to get up, to sit down, to walk around. Sasha would be in the room in a few minutes after going all over the city with Bianca, Becky, Bayley and Bliss. Bianca still hadn't met up with her husband Montez, she'd decided instead to give the Boss some time with her girlfriends, so when Seth finally told her the secret, it wouldn't be such a blow.
When Sasha got to the hotel she made plans to see the girls again soon but she brought Bayley up to her room. Bayley and Sasha were laughing it up when they came into the room and when Seth looked over from the bed and saw Bayley, his eyes immediately went to her feet.
"Why are you wearing my wife's shoes Bayley?" he asked her curtly and Bayley showed off Sasha's Jimmy Choo's.
"Don't they look good on me?" she said and Seth came over to her.
On closer inspection Sasha realised her husband had been crying a lot and she decided it was best they speak alone. "Bayls I'll call around in a sec, Seth and I need to talk," she said.
"Okay, bye now!" Bayley said and she kissed Sasha on the cheek before strutting off in the Boss' golden Jimmy Choo's.
"I'll be right back," Seth said as Sasha took her faux fur coat off wondering where her husband was going. Seth spun Bayley around and the black haired beauty backed up against the hotel wall with her hands up.
"What's with you?" she asked Seth defensively.
"Take off my wife's shoes Bayley," he said firmly and Bayley got hot.
"She said I could wear them, what's your problem?" Bayley asked Seth angrily.
"What's my problem? I'm sick of you playing the role of my wife's so-called best friend. I know how you really feel about her, I know you can't stand her and I don't want you wearing the shoes that I bought for her feet, not yours. I am not messing around with you Bayley," Seth said but Bayley refused to take the shoes off. She folded her arms across her chest and stared Seth down.
"If you want them, come and get them," Bayley said and she went to walk away when Seth pushed her back against the wall, hoisted up her legs and removed the golden Choo's from off of her feet, one foot at a time.
Seth gave her a confident smile, "That's the closest my hands are ever going to get to your feet," he said mockingly and he held up the shoes, "and these shoes are the closest your feet are ever going to get to my wife,"
Bayley's heart was racing so fast because of the proximity of Seth to her body. It was indeed the closest his hands had ever been to her feet and she wanted to know how close his hands could get to the other body parts she wanted so badly for him to touch. There was no time for her to find out as he returned to the safety of his wife's presence, leaving Bayley panting like a deer thirsting for the coveted touch that only Seth's hands provided. She squeezed her naked feet together and smiled to herself and she rested against the wall and thought only of Seth for the next few minutes. These thoughts were not fit for the general public but they were certainly the right thoughts for her diary.
Back in the hotel room Seth ruffled through his wife's things to find the care bag she kept the shoes in. Sasha got out of the bathroom and saw him putting her Jimmy Choo's away.
"Are you packing my things? I thought we were going to stay for the show?" Sasha asked him but Seth didn't reply. Instead he stayed on the ground by Sasha's stuff and looked down at the random assembly of toiletries and excess jewellery, not staying a word.
Sasha threw her arms up, "Seth, is this about Bayley? I sure hope not because we have a great time hanging out with Becky, Bianca and Alexa. Things are going really well between her and the Rock, I really think she's over you," Sasha said and Seth cracked up. He fell forward into Sasha's stuff laughing but the Boss didn't think it was so funny. "Hey quit it, you're crushing all my stuff," she said getting her things away from Seth who fell onto his back laughing. Sasha sat on top of him and tickled him under the arms. Seth reacted by flinching and he tried to get away from her but she was pretty good at neutralising him when it came to their tickle fights.
"Okay stop I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get in your stuff. Quit tickling me!" Seth said but Sasha wouldn't quit. "No babe please, I have to tell you something and its really important,"
Sasha planked herself on top of Seth so they were nose-to-nose, "Okay but it better not be about Bayley," Sasha warned him, "she's not a threat to us anymore, nothing can come between us Seth. So what made you cry today? I can see the tear stains all down your face. Bianca said you were with Roman and Dean all day, did something happen in Connecticut after the Christmas Party?"
Seth stroked his wife's face lovingly, "Yeah something happened," he said softly and he pressed his thumb across his wife's full lips admiring her matte red lipstick which was always so perfectly applied, "I found out today that we're not having a baby together. When you got pregnant it wasn't for me, it was for Roman. Sasha, the baby is not mine,"
Now it was the Boss' turn to laugh and she arched back and let the laughter thunder throughout the hotel room. "Is this what you guys were cooking up? Is this why you were spending all that time with Dean and Roman, to play a prank on me? You guys are terrible you know that?"
The Boss kept on laughing and Seth sat up and tried to get her attention, "Sasha, this isn't something Dean, Roman and I cooked up. This isn't a joke, this is serious. We're not having a baby, Roman got you pregnant that night you slept together right here in New York. You're carrying his baby, not mine," Seth said and it slowly started to sink it and Sasha eventually fell silent. Momentarily, the tears started to fall from her eyes and her chin started to quiver as she realised her husband wasn't joking. She got to her feet and walked around, her body trembling. Finally she found a spot on the window seat and tried to process what Seth just told her.
"Who told you this?" she asked him tearfully.
"Bianca, God told her and she told us today," Seth replied and Sasha rocked back and forth trying to get her head around what Seth just told her.
"But we were going to have a baby, you and me, not me and Roman. He must hate me so much right now, he's got an outside kid," Sasha said and she looked at Seth for the first time in a few moments, "What about you? Do you hate me now?"
Seth slid over to Sasha and sat by her feet that were dangling from the window seat, "At first I was in total disbelief. Then I accepted it because, even though you're not having my baby, you're still having a baby. I just want what's best for you Sasha, this is your first baby and even if he's half Samoan instead of half Rollins, I still want to raise him with you. Sasha I love you and nothing is ever going to change that," Seth replied genuinely and Sasha couldn't believe it.
"I don't deserve you," she said and she cupped Seth's face in her hands, "I don't deserve you. After all I've done to you; sleeping with Roman before we got together, wanting to be friends with Bayley after everything she's put you through and now I'm having the Big Dog's baby and you still want to be with me. Seth, I don't deserve you. If you wanted to leave me I would totally understand," Sasha shook her head with self-disgust, "I have totally f'd up this marriage,"
Sasha wept but Seth encouraged her with a smile, "Hey, that's my wife you're talking about. This is an f'd up situation but I don't care because as long as we're together, we can make it. Let's stay together; I don't want to leave you and I know you don't want to leave me, so let's stay together and work this whole thing out. Plus, we can have our own baby eventually. We'll just have to check and double check that this one is definitely mine though, you're not sleeping with any other badass Samoans are you?" Seth joked and Sasha shook her head in amazement.
"How are you making me laugh right now Seth?" she said amazed at her husband's optimism. "I'm having your best friend's baby and you're so happy and in love with me still. Seth, are you for real or did God truly bless me with the world's greatest husband this year?"
Seth kissed Sasha passionately and that kiss had the answer to Sasha's question all wrapped up inside of it.
Seth's cell phone rang and he reached over and saw a missed call from Hayworth Helmsley and Charlene MacKenzie. They both wanted to see him urgently and invited him out to Miguel's.
"HayMac wanna see me, things must be getting serious between those two," Seth said while rubbing Sasha's arm lovingly.
"I'd love some dinner with another hot interracial couple," Sasha said.
"Then it's a date," Seth said and he text HayMac and told them he'd be at Miguel's with Sasha. "Can you please wear those Jimmy Choo's I bought you? I don't want some other woman walking around in your shoes, it's a marital invasion,"
Sasha shook her head, "Its just Bayley, you make it sound like she's still got feelings for you. We wear the same shoe size plus she looks really good in heels, or haven't you noticed how hot Bayley is these days God boy?"
Seth shook his head and decided to defer the Bayley conversation to another day. He called Roman and told him that everything went well with Sasha and the Big Dog gave a sigh of relief. Seth said that they should meet up tomorrow and tell Galina; if this was the thing that ended Roman's precious marriage, they were all going to have to be there to support him.
Sasha buckled her Jimmy Choo's and held Seth's hand as they headed out and made their way to Miguel's. Photos of them walking towards Midtown started popping up on social media and there were numerous comments about Sasha's beautiful gold shoes. Sasha couldn't care less right now, sure she looked beautiful but that was only because the man by her side made her feel that way, no matter how badly she managed to screw things up for him. Here she was, walking down Midtown, with Seth Rollins by her side and Roman Reigns' baby in her belly. She had literally screwed two thirds of the Shield and the remaining member was not about to let her off without a warning.
