Final chapter! And I can't believe I got almost thirty reviews! I've never had that many! Just, thank you, everyone! It gave me so much motivation so I could post quickly, and I enjoyed reading them all.

Chapter X: Lost

It was dirty where he was, but he couldn't tell. It was hot, but he didn't seem to notice. He had no idea where he was, but after everything that happened, he preferred to keep it that way. It wasn't until the all too familiar sound of C.J. crying snapped him out of the world he was in. Cole immediately shot up from the dirt and sand he was laying facedown in to see a scared C.J. laying next to him. Cole picked up the baby and tried to soothe him as his friends started to wake up.

As Cole held the bundle that meant more to him than anything in the world, he looked around. He and his friends were standing on the shore of some sort of ocean with rock and debris everywhere. Sand at almost every corner. After everything that happened with Garmadon, he thought that it was timetravel for a minute.

"Traveler's Tea," Zane said as he took in the surroundings.

"Oh, that makes more sense," Cole thought. "Looks like we're no longer in Ninjago," he said aloud.

Jay looked behind him to see only half of the Bounty laying next to a cliff.

"Then, where are we?" Jay asked.

Suddenly a low growl could be heard behind. The ninja looked in the direction of the sound to see a huge, red dragon with one missing claw. As they saw a bunch of dragons flying in the distance, Kai knew where they were.

"Back where it all began," he said. "The Realm of Oni and Dragons."

Lloyd had just landed on the boat. He had just witnessed his friend's demise. They had lost.

"What's the matter, son?" Misako asked as Lloyd shakily sat down.

Lloyd didn't answer. He couldn't answer. His friends had just been killed!

"Lloyd, did she say something to you?" Nya asked as she steered the ship through a tunnel.

"You-you didn't see?" Lloyd asked before he started to cry. This startled Nya. She hadn't seen what Lloyd had. She didn't know what had happened to her friends, her brother, her boyfriend.

The group kept going until they got to a poor area in the city. It was the same place where Harumi had fed food to the poor with Lloyd, which made him feel worse.

As Misako was getting off the boat they heard the sound of the biker's horns.

"They're looking for us," Pixal said.

"Which way?" Lloyd asked shakily.

Pixal looked the way they just came from.

"We're going in the opposite direction," Nya explained. "There's a safe place not too far from here."

She helped Lloyd out of the boat, and the group headed towards the edge of the area.

"They're close. We have to hide," Misako said as they heard the horn again. It was a lot louder this time.

Nya pulled Lloyd into a nearby shack, and the others followed.

Once the bikers passed, Nya tried using the intercom.

"Jay, Lloyd and I are heading to a safe place. I'll send you the coordinates," she unknowingly told no one.

"Nya," Lloyd said as he put a hand on her shoulder.

"What is it?" she asked.

"They aren't going to need the coordinates."

"Why not?" Nya asked.

"They..." Lloyd sighed. "My father killed them!"

Nya felt like she was just shot in the heart. Jay-Kai-gone?

"No," she breathed.

Pixal put her hands over her mouth. She hadn't seen Zane in such a long time, and now he was gone.

"I'm sorry," Lloyd told them as a single tear fell down his cheek.

"No," Nya wanted to scream, and she did, "No!" Nya fell on her knees and started sobbing.

Her state scared Lloyd a little. He had never seen Nya like this. He always saw her as a brave, warrior queen. Now she was a little girl crying for her family.

Nya started hugging herself in an attempt to calm her down, but it only made it worse.

"We should stay here for the night," Misako said as she sat down.

"Yeah," Nya agreed through stifled sobs. "L-let's do that."

It had been almost a day since the ninja were marooned to the first realm, and the ninja had learned a few things. One: It never rains, Two: The kitchen was gone so they had to ration the food that Cole had been hoarding under his bed, and Three: Jay had gone missing!

"Guys? Where's Jay?" Cole asked as he was looking for any sign of his friend near the reckage they now called home.

"He went to look for some more water," Kai said as he was hammering a board back onto the back of the ship.

"He said he would be back half an hour ago," Zane mentioned.

"Maybe I should go look for him, and will you keep it down, Kai. C.J.'s taking a nap!" Cole told him before going to look for his blue clad friend.

"How do I hammer quietly?" Kai asked Zane.

Zane just shrugged in response before he followed Cole.

"Don't tell me you're going to leave me alone!" Kai yelled.

"Jay may be in trouble!" Zane called as he was running off.

Jay traveled for two hours. He walked along the shore of the First Realm's ocean. He kept going and going, and he refused to stop. He didn't want to stop. They lost. He didn't know how to process it. They lost. The words kept playing in his mind over and over again. He didn't know if he'd ever get home again. He didn't know if Lloyd or Nya were still alive. Does time work differently in this realm? What if it's been one hundred years before they even get back?

"Why did I even open that stupid bag?" Jay asked himself as he kicked a nearby rock. "Useless," he kicked another rock. "Forgotten," he kicked another. "Abandon," Jay said as he sat in the water, knees pulled up to his chest. "Come on, Nya. You have to still be out there. Garmadon can't have gotten to you yet. Could he?"

As Jay sat in the water getting wetter by the second. It made him feel better. Jay looked out at the ocean. It seemed so serene, so beautiful, yet so powerful. It reminded him of Nya.

"I hope she's all right," Jay thought.

As he looked at the water in front of him a thought came upon him. Jay went farther into the water until he couldn't stand any longer. Jay kicked around a little to position himself to float on the water. It was so nice, so peaceful. It was so peaceful that Jay fell asleep.

"Jay!" Cole called. "Jay! Where are you? Jay!"

It was late at night. Cole had been looking for Jay for hours. He couldn't find his best friend. What the heck was he doing?

"Jay!" Cole screamed, only to hear a nearby roar. A huge, blue dragon flew overhead and tried to shock Cole. Just as he was about to get hit, Cole ducked out of the way and into a nearby cave, where he heard a weak cough. Cole looked over to where the sound came from to see Jay. His hair was all mussed up, his breathing was labored, there was even a huge gash in his head! "Jay?" Cole whispered as he knelt down next to his friend.

"Cole," Jay groaned. Tears were coming to his eyes as he took in a deep breath. It couldn't end. Not now, not like this!

"Just hang on, buddy. We can get you back to safety. Zane! Help!" Cole yelled.

"T-tell Nya th-that I-I love her. Please," Jay begged.

"You can tell her yourself," Cole replied as Zane ran into the cave. He gasped when he saw his friend. "How long does he have?" Cole asked.

"Only a few more minutes. It looks like he's been like this for a couple hours," Zane replied hastily.

Zane immediately got a handkerchief out of a pocket and used it to try to clean up Jay's blood. After a few minutes, Jay started having a lot more trouble breathing until Cole couldn't hear it anymore. His face went pale. Zane noticed it too. He put his ear against Jay's chest before scanning him.

"Is he...?" Cole asked desperately.

"He will be if I can't start his heart back up," Zane replied before scanning the cave. "I can't find anything."

Cole didn't even say anything. He ran out of the cave and screamed. He heard the roar again as the same dragon from earlier chased him down this time.

The dragon chased Cole into the cave again and just as she was about to shock Cole, he jumped out of the way, and she shocked Jay instead. The color almost immediately came back to his face as his breathing started again.

Cole and Zane sighed in relief before Zane wrapped the handkerchief around Jay's head as a bandage.

"I can't believe that worked!" Cole said.

"Now, let's get out of here," Zane said as he wrapped his arm around Jay's and dragged him out of the cave. Cole then used his powers to trap the dragon in the cave.

It had been three, long days since the ninja's demise. Lloyd, Nya, Pixal, Dareth, and Misako were now safely hidden away in what used to be used as a freezer for a restaurant. After a long day of heartless training, the group were trying to get their rest. At least, everyone but Lloyd and Nya.

"I could've done something," Lloyd said partially to himself as he stared up at the ceiling.

Nya sighed, "You did all you could."

"I hate my father, I hate Harumi, I hate the fact that I ever decided to do this," Lloyd said.

"What do you mean?" Nya asked as she got up.

"When I was a kid, I was so excited to become the green ninja. I never realized the price that would come with it," Lloyd replied.

"You don't wanna...quit, do you?" Nya asked.

Lloyd just looked away and sighed.

Nya tried coaxing him out of it, but Lloyd was too tired and depressed. He just lay back down and closed his eyes.

Seeing that Lloyd wasn't going to answer anything she asked Nya gave up. She tried to let herself go to sleep so she could forget everything that happened. Have happy dreams about her and her brother playing in the yard when she was seven or her first kiss with Jay. She tried to focus on the first time she saw Zane on Chen's Island or when she helped Cole after he turned into a ghost, but when she tried to focus on one thing, her mind floated to her last conversation with Kai.

"So, at least we have our powers."

"Yeah, but is it enough?"

"It always is."

"But what if it's not?"

"Ninja never quit."

"Ninja don't last forever," Kai replied.

The word kept playing over and over in her head. "Ninja don't last forever." Her brother was so upset. He was losing his best friend, and he knew something was about to happen. He told her before he left. "Ninja don't last forever." Every moment she lay there, staring at the cold ceiling was agony. They wouldn't even be able to bury them when this was over. They were gone.

"I'm done mourning," Nya told herself. "From now on, I'll protect Lloyd. I'll protect my little brother, no matter what. I'm not going to lose him too. I promise I'll honor your memories forever. I'll fight on, and I'll make sure that Lloyd doesn't quit on us, and if this all goes downhill I'll see you guys soon," Nya thought before finally letting herself go to sleep.

Lloyd was the first to wake the next day. He slowly took the thin sheet off of him and quietly stood up.

He then walked over to his mother, who was currently sleeping on some crates and tried his hardest to wake her up, but she was way too tired. He then walked over to Dareth but decided not to wake him as he thought that he would most likely scream if he did so. Lloyd then looked for Pixal, but she wasn't even in the room. Probably to get food. That just left Nya, and Lloyd knew that she would never go for it.

Seeing that he had no one to tell, Lloyd found a pen and paper and wrote something down on it before he ran out of the freezer. It was too cold in there anyway.

"Nya, wake up!" Nya heard her friend Pixal say.

She slowly opened her eyes to see that Pixal looked very worried.

"What's wrong?" Nya asked as she sat up.

"Lloyd's gone!" Dareth yelled.

Nya was immediately on her feet.

"What do you mean 'gone'?" she asked.

"He left us a note saying that he's going to face Garmadon alone!" Misako exclaimed.

"What?" Nya asked. "Why?"

"We don't know," Pixal responded as they watched Nya grab a red jacket and sunglasses that belonged to her brother.

"Don't tell me you're gonna go after him," Dareth said.

"How else do I prevent him from getting himself killed?" Nya asked as she put a blond wig over her hair before running out the door.

Lloyd was making his way through the fishing village in the same disguise Harumi gave him on their first night together. It wasn't too fond of a memory, but it helped him get through the village. Lloyd walked through the village until he made it to the city again. He walked through a little while when he heard one of the biker's horns behind him. Lloyd didn't change his speed, he didn't move, he just kept walking as if he didn't hear a thing. Suddenly, the biker behind him circled around so the biker could face him.

"Echo," Lloyd nodded before he walked past the bike, but Echo took his two swords out and jumped on Lloyd.

Lloyd tried reaching for a weapon as reflex until he remembered that he didn't bring one.

Echo raised his swords high into the air before Lloyd said, Wait! Can I say something first?'

Echo nodded, but he didn't lower the weapon.

"What did Garmadon tell you he did to my friends?" Lloyd asked.

"He killed four ninja," Echo replied.

"Do you know which four?"

Mr. E shook his head.

"He killed Kai, Jay, Cole, his son, and your brother Zane."

"Not Zane. Nya," Echo sounded like he was trying to convince himself of this fact.

"Hate to break it to ya, Echo," Nya said from behind before she kicked him in the chest, knocking him off of Lloyd.

Once he saw her, Echo didn't fight back. He just looked distraught and drove away on his bike.

"What are you doing here, Nya?" Lloyd asked her.

"Saving you. Apparently. Why didn't you fight back?" Nya asked.

"I, um, forgot my weapon," Lloyd lied.

"You were planning on fighting your father alone without a weapon!" Nya practically screamed. "Are you trying to get yourself killed!"

Lloyd didn't answer. He looked like a moody teen who had a bad day at school.

Once the two made it back to the freezer, Misako immediately ran up to her son and hugged him.

"Don't ever do that to me again," she said. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

Lloyd seemed a little startled by this last remark. He looked at Nya, who just said, "Do you wanna train or not?"

Lloyd nodded slowly before he and Nya walked to the middle of the room for training. Lloyd mentally smacked himself for his plan. What was he thinking? Going against his dad alone with no weapon? The others would be heartbroken!

Meanwhile, in the First Realm, Cole was feeding C.J. in the bunker cabin. Jay had only woken up a couple times since Cole and Zane found him, but Zane said that he would be alright.

"We'll make, buddy. We always do. I know it's unfair that you're in this situation with us, but I..." Cole sighed as he was looking at his son. "I don't want you getting hurt. I love you, bud." He sighed again as he looked at his best friend. He looked so lifeless on his messed up bed. "Let's just hope that your Uncle Jay wakes up soon."

As Cole finished feeding his son, C.J. gave out a loud burp which caused Cole to laugh, and he heard someone else laughing too.

"You know, part of me regrets not wanting you to adopt. You're a good dad, Cole," Jay said weakly.

"Jay?" Cole asked as C.J. started laughing.

Jay slowly sat up and looked at Cole. He was relieved that his best friend was alive but something seemed a little...off.

"Are you okay?" Cole asked.

"Of course I am," Jay smiled a little goofier than usual.

"What exactly happened to you?" Cole asked.

Jay looked confused as he was trying hard to think about what happened before his friends found him.

"I-I think I was trying to get back to Nya. I swam a little bit before I started floating on the water. It was sooo peaceful. So, I took a nap, and I dreamed that I was all tied up, and I was being dragged somewhere. I woke up underwater, and I think-I think the c-current, yeah! That sounds right. Well, the current took me away, and I hit my head on a rock," Jay said as he pressed on his now bandaged head in pain. "I-I don't remember too much of what happened after that, but I think I crawled into that dark hole..."

"Cave," Cole corrected.

"Right, cave. I think I crawled into the cave before you guys came, and I passed out," Jay finished.

C.J. whimpered a little as if he understood every word, which he probably did.

"I'm okay now, though. Right, kid?" Jay told the child. "Where are the others?"

"Zane and Kai are trying to build a radio to reach someone in Ninjago," Cole replied.

"Is it working at all?" Jay asked. He sounded uninterested.

"We don't have enough materials to even know if it could work," Cole replied. "You can go out there if you'd like. It'd probably help if you were working on it."

"When's the last time I was awake?" Jay asked.

"Uh, that was yesterday morning," Cole replied.

Jay's expression didn't change at all. He just hummed as he looked at C.J. Part of him wanted that so much for himself, but the other part told him that he wasn't capable. Wasn't worthy. Plus, they were never getting out of the First Realm. Maybe that was his problem. He worried too much about their situation. Just accept the situation.

Kai and Zane were very happy that Jay was awake, but the way he acted made them worry if he was well.

"You guys wanna fill me in on what happened while I was asleep?" Jay asked his friends.

"Um, we're just trying to find a way back home," Kai replied. That's when he started to get worried. Jay wasn't usually the one to take things like that lightly.

"Uh huh, yeah, is there anything I can do?" Jay asked.

"Help us fix this radio?" Kai answered.

Jay looked at the big, brown box that Kai and Zane were working on in disgust. He then shrugged and sat by the water again. No matter how much he hated it, the water made him feel better.

"So we're stuck in a realm away from our friends, we're probably never getting back home, and we're all gonna get killed by oni," Jay thought. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and thought, "All I have to do is accept the situation, give up hope, and..."

As the days went by Jay's mental state got worse and worse. Everyone was worried for him. The only time Jay wasn't completely bonkers was when he was with C.J., but even then he was still a little odd. Everyone just hoped that they would survive this living nightmare of the realm and protect Jay at all costs.

That was the last chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun writing it.

I would like to thank Guest, NinjagoLover61-9, the next five guests, HyperbolB, three more guests, Coolestjoy30, and Guest. Although, those guests could've all been the same person. Anyway, thank you all so much for reviewing. I am working on continuing the story with a Hunted: C.J. style, so keep on the lookout for that, and thanks again.

Have a good day/night!
