CHAPTER 10
BEFORE THE PARTY
Alya had come over to try on her dress so Marinette could adjust the dress. Alya had only seen sketches but never knew how it was coming along. "so, you're done?" she asked excitedly "Yup" Marinette confirmed "it wasn't that hard since no one else wanted me to make their costume." She said a little sadly. Alya gave her a sympathetic look. "OMG! Mari! Your amazing!" squealed Alya once she put on her dress.
It was a dark green with layers on the bottom growing darker. She had a shell shaped handbag and a mask like the real one. She also had a poncho instead of a hood in a light green on her shoulders. The top had a simple carapace pattern and a belt with a turtle shell pin in the middle.
"Great it fits! Now let us do your hair and pick your accessories" said Marinette excitedly. She walked over to drawer and grabbed a box of random accessories she made over the years. (Idk if she has this). "well, it needs to green, and turtle patterned." Said Alya practically. Marinette pulled out a bunch of accessories in green while Alya looked through them.
Once they were done, Alya had a simple green bead necklace, green earrings, and a clip with a turtle all from what Marinette had made. They had also dyed the tips of her hair in a temporary green, Alya twirled around and looked at a mirror. "Girl! This is incredible!" she gasped striking a pose
Marinette clapped her hands and smiled. "Glad you like it" she said enthusiastically. Alya turned her attention to Marinette and said "Your turn" finishing with a sly grin. She then pushed Marinette into her closet where she knew her dress would be. "Don't think of coming out without your costume!" she yelled. Marinette sighed then let herself giggle while she changed.
When she came out, her hair was still in their usual pigtails, but she had small cat ears that were attached to a headband that camouflaged to her dark hair. Then she had a plain black mask on and a chocker with a small bell dangling from it. Her dress had was a bright green and black with a black string crossing the front.
Her dress was just grazing the floor and was a shimmery black with light green lace and pawprints at the bottom. Alya squealed when she saw her. "Girl, you look amazing!" she cried "but" she added shaking her head "can we try letting down your hair?" she pleaded. Mariette rolled her eyes playfully but removed her hair ties. Alya then pushed her to her vanity and took out a curler.
When she was done, she fingered her chin and said "Better, but I feel like were missing something" she said fingering her chin. Trixx flew out and around Marinette, "Looks good to me" she declared. Tikki flew out and said, "Your missing the tail" She pointed to the back.
Marinette twisted to see, then said "I made a tail, but I don't remember where I put it" she said sheepishly rubbing her head. Tikki giggled and flew through the doors of her closet and busted out with two belts. One was plain black the other with a string of light green pawprints. "Here you go" she said putting them in Marinette's hand.
"Thanks, Tikki!" Marinette smiled. She then took the pawprint belt and fastened around her waist. She took the other one and looped it around like how Chat Noir's costume looks like. Alya clapped her hands enthusiastically "There! Now it looks right!" she cheered. Marinette blushed and picked up a purse with pawprints on it.
"Let us go?" she asked "Let us" answered Alya hooking their arms together. The kwami's flew into their bags and they shuffled down the stairs.
WITH THE BOYS
"Nino! hold still" said Adrien trying to fix on the fox ear clips on Nino. "Why do we need this?" Nino complained. "Well they are kind of necessary, and you should be glad you barely have hair!" said Adrien reflecting to Rena Rouge's humongous hairdo. Nino gulped while Adrien got the ears into place. Both were designed by Gabriel, (not happy about making them look like his enemies but Adrien pointed out that his schedule was free).
Nino was wearing a deep orange suit with a simple white tie. His cape was designed to look like the real thing except darker. The boys messed with some orange hair dye that he could wash off later. He also had a simple orange mask and a gold chain around his neck. He reluctantly put his cap on his bed. (They decided that it would be better to dress at Nino's house).
Adrien wore a black suit, with a red shirt and a simple red and black tie. He had tousled his hair making it look wilder and wore a red and black spotted mask. Plagg flew out. "Looks good kid" he said "Kind of simple but then again who likes too much of things" he said decidedly.
Adrien chuckled and said, "Glad you like it". Nino glanced at the clock and jumped to his feet. "Time to go!" he called out. He raced out with Adrien at his heels.
I'm so sorry! I've been slacking a bit and for those who have been patient thank you for staying. I will try to figure out my schedule and put more time in these. For now Vivisong out!
