A/N: I wrote this chapter while listening to Markiplier's "This Intro Is Bumping" on a 1-hour loop.

Sorry for the late chapter.

Naruto found it ironic that during his first night at his new house, he didn't sleep in his bed. Instead, he slept on the couch, while someone else slept in his bed. This 'someone' being Hanabi Hyuuga, who was now staying in his home for an undefined amount of time. He figured that this would end up becoming normal for him, waking up in a house with a girl he had been helping. Right now, he was currently sitting at his dining table, preparing to eat breakfast cooked by Hanabi.

Naruto knew that Hanabi didn't know much about cooking, but he decided to give her the benefit of the doubt because breakfast was the easiest meal to cook, how bad could it really be? Plus, she'd insisted that he let her cook for him. He probably should've learned his lesson when he ate Hanabi's cooking the first time, but he couldn't help but be his usual self.

So there Hanabi was, cooking what looked to be steamed rice and miso soup. She had on a white apron, which made her petite back look even smaller. It really was a pleasant sight, and he didn't know why. Just watching a woman's back while they were cooking was satisfying. Naruto had a pretty goofy grin on his face. He quickly realized what he was doing and blushed in embarrassment.

The silence they were in was pretty awkward, both of them wanted or tried to make some kind of conversation but it was usually met with a pretty vague answer, which only resulted in another awkward silence. So, Naruto just continued to stare at Hanabi's figure, catch himself in the act, and become embarrassed in a loop. Though when he took the time to actually look at her, he realized that he liked how she looked. She didn't have big boobs, nor did she have a perfectly round butt, but Naruto didn't care about those things. Naruto thought she was really beautiful even without all of that.

Not long afterward, the breakfast was finally done. Hanabi set the food on the table with a smile on her face, she must've been really been proud of that breakfast. Naruto gulped and reluctantly looked down at the food, afraid of what his gaze would find. The miso soup looked fine, but the rice, on the other hand, looked dark brown, which was not the color it should be.

"How is it?" Hanabi asked. Naruto nervously picked up his chopsticks and decided to finally taste it. When he put the rice in his mouth, he instantly regretted it.

He shouldn't have given her another chance, it wasn't worth it. How could someone mess up rice?! It's probably one of the easiest things to cook. It was very hard to restrain himself from making a face of disgust. He thought that maybe the soup would taste better than the rice, he sure hoped so. Naruto grabbed the small bowl and drank the soup. Luckily for him, it did taste better than the rice. Though Naruto decided he'd skip breakfast for today.

"It's great! You must have a talent for cooking!" Naruto fake-praised, causing Hanabi to blush in response. Naruto wasn't harsh enough to tell her that her food sucked, but maybe if he got her to taste her own food, she would realize how bad it was.

"You cooked the food, you should have some too!" Naruto insisted, pushing his bowl of rice and his chopsticks toward her.

Naruto was a bit confused about what happened next. Hanabi looked at Naruto, then at the chopsticks, then back at Naruto, and suddenly turned red as if she had a fever.

"N-No! That's fine! I have somewhere to be! S-See you later!" Hanabi said, and ran out of the door, further confusing Naruto.

Hanabi didn't know how to define her day so far. It hadn't even been 48 hours since she left her clan and began to stay with Naruto Uzumaki. Just thinking about the events that led up to her leaving would make her sad, which was why she often tried to focus on anything else. Come to think of it, was it okay to just walk in and out of Naruto's house without caution? Wouldn't there be people that would see it and gossip about it? Hanabi would have to ask Naruto about that. Nonetheless, Hanabi didn't really have somewhere to be, she only made up that excuse because she was flustered.

When Naruto offered to share his food with her, the thought of sharing the same chopsticks had made her think of having an indirect kiss with the blonde. She thought that an indirect kiss shouldn't have bothered her as much as she did when they had done way more than that before.

Suddenly, Hanabi's stomach rumbled. She then remembered that she hadn't eaten breakfast yet. She'd made enough for both her and him, but then she ran out of there, so now she'd have to eat from a restaurant.

Among other choices, Hanabi decided to eat at Ichiraku Ramen for breakfast. She wouldn't normally eat heavy foods for breakfast, but this restaurant had received high praise from Naruto as the "best restaurant ever." She also wanted to cook for Naruto again and make his favorite food.

As she started to make her way to the ramen stand. Hanabi was a bit surprised that the public didn't know anything about her leaving her clan, they were generally quick to pick up on the latest drama involving clans or other major political figures in Konoha. But then again, the Hyuuga clan was never an open clan, they kept many secrets, so it wasn't majorly surprising to her.

Not 10 minutes later, she had approached the ramen stand to be met with an old man, looking to be in his late 40s, and a woman looking to be in her late 20s.

"Welcome to Ichiraku ramen! What would you like?" Ayame asked, she recognized this person from a few days ago, she had ordered a bunch of drinks and was taken home by Naruto.

"One miso ramen with extra pork, please." Hanabi asked, Ayame nodded.

Hanabi had to admit, the smell was amazing, she couldn't wait to try it. She could see why Naruto came here so often if just the smell of ramen was this good. Speaking of Naruto, Hanabi wondered what he was doing right now.

"I'm serious Naruto, you need to bring someone!" Kiba said enthusiastically.

After Hanabi had left, the men of the Konoha 12 had come to his house to tell him about a get-together that the Konoha 12 were having in a few days. All of them were bringing dates or girlfriends and they were currently trying to convince Naruto to find someone and bring them.

"Do I really have to? Does it matter?" Naruto asked, not getting the point of it.

"Of course it matters! If you want, we can look for someone for you." Kiba explained. Naruto sighed, knowing that he wouldn't be able to get out of this.

"Yes, we should do that. Why? Because Naruto is lonely." Shino stated, receiving a glare from Naruto.

"Who are you going with, Lee?" Naruto asked, redirecting the conversation away from himself.

"Me? I am going with TenTen! Only as friends though." He clarified and everyone understood. Naruto already knew who Shikamaru, Choji, Sai, and Sasuke were going with. Lee, Kiba, Shino, and he were the only ones who didn't have a girlfriend. Hence they had to find someone.

Not long after the men came, they left, leaving Naruto to try and find a date. Naruto didn't know why, but when he thought about who he would bring, his first thought went to Hanabi, which was a bit surprising to him. What would she say if he asked her? Naruto was sure that if he asked one of his fangirls, they would say yes instantly, but Naruto wasn't interested in them. Frankly, Naruto didn't know what or who he was interested in right now.

But even if she did say yes, then what? Naruto hoped that it wouldn't be weird, she would be the youngest person there, being 4 years younger than everyone else, being 16 when everyone else was 20. At least her sister would be there. Hanabi was also the only one out of them who would be a Chuunin. Ironically, she would be a higher rank than Naruto, who was still a Genin. Now that he thought about it, would asking her to attend this gathering count as asking her out as a date? Still, Naruto needed someone to bring to this gathering so here he was, waiting for Hanabi to come back from wherever she went, it's not like he had anything better to do.

Missions that took place outside of the village were rare since the 4th Shinobi World War had ended. All major threats to shinobi and their villages were eliminated. So most Jounin usually took on B rank missions with the occasional A ranks, this time of peace was the reason why so many people were starting to take on Genin teams. So most shinobi had nothing to do.

And it wasn't like he wanted something to happen. He was enjoying this peace. Sure, a lot of drama has happened in the last few days, but then again, it was way better than what has happened in the past, and he'd much rather have drama happening in a clan than between whole villages.

But he was getting off-topic, Naruto just hoped that everything would turn out alright and that he wasn't overthinking things.
