Alastor walked down the street, demons scattering in fear that they were going to get a second death. However, he wasn't smiling. Wait, he wasn't smiling!? Yeah... That wasn't a good sign. Alastor turned the doorknob to his Radio Tower and went in.

His shadows slinked across the wall, heading towards the table as the Radio Demon sat down, his head in his hand.

"Why you sad Master?" a shadow asked, appearing next to him. Alastor waved his free hand, signaling it to go away. The buck didn't want to talk to anyone.

"Why?" Alastor asked himself. "Why did I let myself get affiliated with Myles?"

He asked himself this over and over, but the answer never came. "Ugh!"

A knock on his door made his ears turn in its direction. Snapping his fingers, the doorknob turned and opened, revealing a certain demon he wasn't expecting to see.

Nifty stood in the doorway, raising her head as if she were peering over something.

"Mister Alastor?" she asked.

The Radio Demon looked at his 'partner' with a blank facial expression. "What do you want Nifty?"

The tiny cyclops bounced over to her friend and looked up at him with concern written on her face. "Are you okay?"

A shadow of Alastor's materialized next to Nifty and leaned close to her ear, holding up a hand on the other side of its face. "Master is unhappy," it whispered. "He's been unhappy ever since the princess left him."

"I can hear you, you know?" Alastor hissed.

Nifty nodded to the shadow then climbed up a chair to get on the table. She stormed over to her master and forced him to look up at her. "Al," she said, even though she would never be this harsh. "What in the world are you doing moping around? You're the Radio Demon for Pete's sake. I and everyone else in the Underworld can see you're not yourself. You need to make it up to Charlotte!"

Alastor was a little caught off guard by his partner's attitude that his eyes grew wide. He pushed himself away from her and cleared his throat as if he were going to say something. But no words came.

"Nifty, what has gotten into you? If I could make it up to Charlie, I would. But I can't. I knew that she would never want me back after she heard what my past plans were."

"That's why we're here," a voice said. The two turned their attention to the door to see Angel and Husk with their arms crossed.

"Look ya sack of crap, I don't wanna be here, but any one of us could see that ya made a mistake," the white and pink spider observed his claws. "Make it up to Charlie."

Husk raised an eyebrow at Angel but kept his face in a scowl.

"What he said," the alcoholic cat declared, pointing his thumb towards Angel Dust. Alastor felt his eyebrows raise slightly. Are they being... nice? The buck demon shook his head and got up.

Nifty forced Alastor to look at her again, her eye narrowed. "Mister Alastor, you can either go to Miss Charlie and make it up to her, or you can continue to sulk in your regret. The choice is-"

A cry for help got all of their attention and Alastor bolted out the door. The hot air of the Underworld made Husk fluff out his fur to try to cool down. Closing his eyes, Alastor's ears slowly rotated, trying to pinpoint who the voice belonged to. After a few seconds, his eyes snapped open, and his heart clenched with fear.

"What in the Underworld was that?" Angel asked. He looked at Alastor, who was gone. In his place was a dark red buck with black antlers. "Did I hit my head or did he just turn into a God dang deer?"

...

Charlie scrambled back as Vox slowly made his way over, a knife in his claw. The TV demon had a grin on his screen, and one eye was red while his other was its normal blue color.

"Vox..." the Princess breathed, trying to not show her fear. "What do you want?"

Vox groaned, holding his head in his claw. "You are so stupid. You do realize that, don't you Princess?"

He raised his hand, ready to end the poor girl. Charlie closed her eyes, prepared for the hit. It never came.

She opened her eyes, a gasp escaping her when she saw the sight. The clash of bone on metal was unmistakable, as Vox was now fighting a dark red creature with black antlers. Alastor ran at his enemy again and hit him with full force. The TV demon fell to the ground and the buck jabbed him in the side again and again with his hooves. Finally, Alastor picked Vox up with his antlers and threw him to the side.

Vox landed on the ground with a thud and rolled a few feet away. Coughing, he stumbled to get up and ran away, only to look back at Alastor. "This isn't over!" he yelled. The buck snorted like a bull and padded the ground with his hoof, digging up a little dirt.

He looked back at Charlie, who had a shocked look on her face. The sight made his heart clench and he closed his eyes. A green wave of magic surrounded his body before engulfing him. A few seconds passed, then the green liquid-like magic retreated into him, and Alastor stood there in his demon form.

"Al...?" Charlie breathed. The Radio Demon slowly walked to the Princess, hand extended.

"Demon Belle...? Are... Are you alright? Did Vox hurt you? Did-"

His words were cut off by Charlie as she hugged him tightly. Alastor felt frozen as she sobbed into his chest.

He looked down at her and with a gentle hand, he stroked her blonde hair. When the woman lifted her head, her mascara was running down her cheeks in black color. Alastor tried to calm her down as he used his thumb to wipe away her tears. He tried to speak but found his voice gone.

In the end, all he could get out was, "I'm sorry." He took a breath to steady himself. "I'm so sorry. I know I've been a horrible friend. I shouldn't have let myself get affiliated with Myles. I did plan to hurt you, but that was before you opened my eyes. And I promise, I will make it up to you, even if I have to spend the rest of eternity doing it."

By now, the Princess had stopped crying and she smiled weakly at Alastor.

"Smiles! Smiles, where are you?" Angel called. The two looked up at the ridge and saw the spider, along with the cat and the tiny cyclops.

After making their way down, Angel let out, "we saw Vox run away like a baby. What happened?"

"He was about to hurt Charlie, but I saved her and fought Vox. In the end, I was able to send him running," the Radio Demon answered.

"Wow!" replied Nifty.

Alastor moved his gaze to Charlie, then picked her up bridal style and started to walk away.

"Al, I can walk on my own, you know?" Charlie said.

Alastor smiled. "Nonsense, my dear!"

The blonde-haired Princess shrugged and just gave in while the rest of the Hazbins followed the Radio Demon back to the hotel.
