Another 5 years passed.

The life of our former hero changed quite a bit after he became an "uncle" for one of the young recruits.

The boy's compulsory training began at the age of 6.

Hiccup perceived this year like any other.

He was just confused why he had to become an "uncle" for the child in this cruel world of hate and anger. He was not married and had no children. Not to mention that the children got on his nerves if they bothered him.

He hadn't seen much the boy who seemed to have a positive relationship with him lately.

He had just as much work to do, so there was no time for him to be the boy's personal tutor.

But this year, his faith in the state was to be broken. It started when he caught the suspicion that something was being hidden from him.

And so, of course, as a man in charge of internal security, he decided to find out on his own what is happening and what is being kept secret from him.

It took some time, and he knew that despite his high position, he did not have access to that information.

So he came up with a plan to get that information, even though there was a risk that he would lose his position and authority and for which he would probably end up as a victim of genocide that went on or would simply have him executed with the fact that he was a traitor.

The plan was to just sneak in there. It was information to which he himself did not have access.

He knew this place quite well here. Officials worked on the documentation of the cases here as a watch, as did the archivists if the case was closed.

He crept inconspicuously very late at night. Since he took part in missions from time to time instead of leading, he knew what to do, especially if there were more enemies.

He took advantage of the veils of darkness and the fact that only a few lights were shining here. He put a black leather mask over his face so the guards wouldn't recognize him.

The next few minutes were tense. He could kill and so he got into the dilemma of whether to just send the guards unconscious or kill them. On the other hand, he knew that if they survived and shared their testimony, the hunt for him would probably begin.

So he did what he had to do, again with his bloodlust as usual at work.

He killed unsuspecting guards in a quick and quiet way. It was enough to break their necks from behind to fall dead on the ground. In the worst case, there was blood left if the victim was defending himself.

He knew the air was clean. Other high-ranking madmans like him had access to the door, but he himself not.

He went for it as violently as normal at work. He was ready for this, and he just slammed the door open. It made a noise, but there was no one left to intervene. He took a torch from the hallway and went inside. Dust floated in the air after the door slammed open.

"So let's find out.." He said to himself when, thanks to the torchlight, he saw nicely arranged books with information.

But the problem was that he had no idea what to look for. There was all the secret information for the whole 8 years. 8 years. But then he got the idea, when he thought about this.

"I was a wreck eight years ago, but I don't remember anything. It's time to find out more about my previous life."

He said quietly to himself and went searching from the very beginning, eight years ago. But he stopped at the file that concerned the boy he'd seen from time to time.

But he was shocked when he began to read what was written about him.

That boy .. that boy .. is his son.

At that moment, everything came back to him. Everything. The memories brought so much pressure on him that he wanted to cry.

He immediately realized that he had not been himself in the last six years.

But since he was not in mental decay as he was back then, the mood that returned to him was grumpiness after all he had been through.

He took the document with him before he disappeared. He wanted to see Jensen immediately.

The next day, an investigation began into members of the security forces, in which someone broke in, killed several guards and stole several documents.

Hiccup, but immediately headed for the eight-year-old boy. The children trained the fight under the supervision of experienced adults, but they did not feel the same, because these adults had a completely different approach than those who took care of them before their school started. Hiccup wasn't expecting anything and immediately raised his voice and showed his authority as he suddenly interrupted the hour.

"For Jensen, the class ends for the rest of the day. He will come with me. And that is the order."

The screaming officer in charge of the children stopped, but Hiccup continued.

"Do you want me to have you executed without trial or to send you to prison or camp? So do what I say!" Hiccup shouted and the officer stepped back.

Jensen immediately run to Hiccup with a small metal sword in his hands.

"Un-cle Hiccup?" He was confused and he said as he watched the adult.

"I need to talk to you about something, but it won't work here in front of others."

Jensen immediately followed the thirty-year-old adult.

Hiccup grew old in those five years. He had a beard but kept it short, and along with the scar on one of his eyes, he didn't look like someone he wanted to play with.

The boy was confused and felt as if his "uncle" had completely changed his approach.

"Listen to me well, Jensen ... I'm your father and it's only a matter of time before they put 2 and 2 together. You have to disappear with me and immediately."

The eight-year-old boy looked at him in confusion.

"I know it's hard for you, but I didn't know it myself. Until today."

The boy looked just like him now. It wasn't long before the boy cried.

"T-they told me that both my parents were dead. I had them as my family and they just lied to me?"

"I know, I know, it's hard, I'm not in the mood either. I have evidence with me to confirm what I told you."

The boy looked at it. He could read, and his reaction was such that he flew into his long-lost father's arms and cried.

Hiccup tried not to show his grumpiness. In fact, he was tired of life after everything he has expected, grumpy and pessimistic, so he didn't try to show it to his offspring.

But then Hiccup heard a sentence, which gave him a completely different feeling.

"Dad, won't you leave me?"

"No, I will not leave. Let's get out of here before there's a problem."

He was full of rage. Rage at the world. The escape began immediately the same evening, but his eight-year-old son's questions contributed to his grumpiness. Questions of the type:

"What happened to mom?"

"How did you meet?"

"Why couldn't you raise me together?"

"Dad, where are you from?"

These questions only annoyed him and aroused more memories. Both good and bad.

"Can you please be quiet for a moment? I'm trying to figure out what we're going to do now." He told the child in a visibly angry tone.

"I'm sorry, Dad, but I need to know this."

"You will have to wait. I'll explain when you'll be older."

But Jensen at that moment had an idea. He started sting his father with the sword he was training with, and his father was angry while walking.

"I sometimes tried this on teachers. They caught me when they caught me, but I think it might improve your mood, Dad."

But Hiccup was only more grumpier than before. He no longer shielded himself from yelling at his son, even though the child had a positive attitude towards him.

"There is no time for some stupid games now!" He shouted at him after the stinging make him want mad but 8 years old Jensen only smiled.

"You're awfully grumpy all of a sudden and I'm trying to fix it."

"So don't even try."

"Of course Dad."

But at that moment Hiccup stopped. He recognized the sounds. It was the sound of explosions ... like dragons spitting fireballs. The sounds were very familiar to him. Unpleasantly well known. The sounds brought him back to the war eight years ago, and he was aware of it.

They were both trying to leave the place now. The two went like this together for 2 hours. The expedition of the widowed father and his little son began in this cruel land.

It was cloudy outside and since the area was very far to the north, there was also snow. It was a winter similar to the one eight years ago.

But his shock continued. He could see from a distance that whatever the fight had begun.

"Dad?" Jensen asked confusedly, still using on the finding his father.

Hiccup stood frozen, silently watching the distant fighting. But then he fenced off and was back in his grumpy mood.

"What are you looking at me like that? We must continue on our way."

The boy was silent and watched his father behave as if nothing had happened. He was a little confused, but there was nothing he could do.

"Where am I going with you?" He asked during walking.

"I don't know either."

And the journey continued..
