Im kinda black-ish, sorry for this really short chapter :(
Here's chapter 10…..
It's been two days since Jay saw his apartment door slam shut. Two days since he has spoken to Erin. Work has been extremely slow so the unit has been catching up with paperwork. The days have been going by slowly and all Jay can think of is the broken pair of hazel eyes that he hasn't seen since that night. -
Their Sargent had let them leave early as there was no case and the detectives have done nothing but sit around. The clock in his car read 18:00 and he knew his brother was on shift, so Jay picked up some Chinese and messaged his brother that he was coming to his work with some food. Jay walked through the white corridors of the hospital, nodding his head when he recognised familiar faces of the med staff. The doctor's lounge was empty when he entered, Jay draped his jacket over his chair and sat down, taking out the containers of food, the detective started eating before his brother even got there. He was only alone for 5 minutes before his brother and Dr Manning, his current fling, came through the doors, in their hospital scrubs and coats.
Jay stood up to give them both a hug, "Hey bro, hey Nat. Didn't know you'd be stopping, Im sure Will can share some of his with you." Handing over the container that held this brothers food.
After minutes of silence due to the eating, Will had mentioned that he hadn't seen Erin in for her shift. "Oh yeah, Maggie mentioned that she called in sick. Which now come to think of it, this is very unlike her. Erin is probably the best nurse we have." Nat replied.
The thought of Erin alone with her boyfriend sent the detectives anxiety through the roof, knowing how mad he seemed through the text and amount of missed call didn't sit right with him. "Im really worried about her, when she was in the shower I heard her phone go o-"
"Please don't tell me you looked thought her phone, Jay?" Will begged.
"I didn't mean to, ok! But it was notification and notification, the phone wouldn't stop buzzing. I was worried someone really needed her, so I just turned it over to see who it was. There was just so many missed calls and these angry messages from Charlie. Which I assume is her boyfriend."
The red-haired doctor could clearly see the concern and worry in his brother's eyes, knowing what he could be implying os what he had been thinking all along.
I am so sorry, there is no excuse for my absence, other than lack of motivation and college. With it being a level 3 course of science, my workload is at a stressful amount. I have been working on an extremely long one-shot, but thats still not done. This story is coming to an end soon, as ive lost the storyline in it if you have any ideas on how to end it. Please let me know!
Thank yoiu for reading and sorry again!
