AN: Questions and Answers!
First of all-again, sorry it's taken some time but with Thanksgiving (as I'm American) is behind us the updates may be slow (as Christmas is around the corner and I have quite a bit of Christmas shopping to do)
The questions from chimera629 are now answered-
Is Elena a tracker (traveler) witch like the other Petrovas shown or more like the original doppelganger? Elena has studied a bit of all the magics but is more proficient in the Gypsy/Romani type magics.
The thing about Caroline is that she's still unable to deal with her trauma that she suffered in season 1 by Damon Salvatore. I know that it's not a good excuse but after rewatching some of the earlier seasons (starting with season 1) she just went from whatever Damon wanted her to be to Matt when she should have just taken time away from men. Again, I know that it's not the best excuse to have her this way but she will 'come back' to her senses and try to be supportive but she's still a bit angry and raw from everything she went through.
The reason why they weren't locked up like Kol is simple-it's possible for Stefan and Caroline the tomb spell dissolved after the Martin witches released Stefan and didn't place it back up though Rebekah-for not being locked up and why they're fearful? The expression 'hell hath no fear of a woman scorned?' Well Rebekah would definitely make them regret ruining her life in this century and after being daggered by a crazy psychotic hybrid brother she will definitely do whatever it takes to make him regret locking her up or neutralizing her.
Is Ric still Elena's stepdad? No, she doesn't know him as Moira (a bit of a canon Elena but a bit smarter than normal canon Elena) who he is/was the stepfather too as I changed things up-possibly for the better
Are their any hybrids running around? For the Heretics there is going to be one running around (which will be a spoiler and no, not Valerie as they're not going to be messing with the Heretics trapped in the Prison World) and there's only two wolf/vampire hybrids running around until Hayley transitions and they are Klaus and Tyler and though Klaus isn't truly sold on the baby yet he's going to be opening up to Hayley and slowly wanting this child (after all, the damage that Mikael caused him made him believe that he's no good and a true monster-an abomination so he was reveling in it) but for the wolf/witch one? I might make an alternate version of this with that but for this one? No, not really unless I have this go all the way into when Hope and Elejah baby (no spoilers on that) are at the Salvatore School
Though if you want a good wolf/witch hybrid story then I suggest The Eternal Flame series by -it's a great series!
On the Bamon baby front? This child could be the Heretic or it could be the baby Elena's pregnant with. Depending on which baby will be born a purebred Heretic I'm not sure but the other hybrid that will be born is a pure witchpire (non siphoner/vampire mix) and the second only known vampire/witch hybrid that will be in existence
The reason why Rebekah was looking for Kol knowing full well he was in New Orleans? She didn't know that he had been neutralized like in season one of The Originals with her knowing where Elijah was but not knowing what had happened to him. She did enter the house but she has another place she was living in but would go over to this one and yes, Klaus asking about knowing where her room is was Klaus thinking that she wanted to stay with them (because in the first season of The Originals it showed that yes, she was mad at Klaus but she still lived there-in this, yes it seemed as though she was going to live there but she isn't). The thing about Hayley's wolf family is that they will appear and no, there's no love triangle between her/Jackson/Klaus as I'm going to say that Jackson has a wife (he waited for Hayley-Andrea but he found someone else who-unlike in canon where Hayley's affections were wavering-this woman doesn't have that and is completely sold on Jackson)
How Tyler got in? Well he tracked Hayley down once he learned she was in New Orleans with the Mikaelsons and he appeared right after Isobel. As for why Elena's family wasn't staying there? Well when they first got into New Orleans Elena and Hayley had no idea about them being in the city first of all so the family had a few hotel rooms. During the time the girls were taken and the brothers were bonding a bit
Do the other Originals have doubles? Possibly but they're not in New Orleans and yes, surprisingly I had always wanted who saved Elena's parents to be Klaus and it worked. No, in the legends and folklore that Isobel and Ophelia studied they were only mentioned by name, never described so Klaus was an unknown variable to her and Marcel had no idea that Klaus was in New Orleans as he was only there for a short while. It was serendipitous that their paths crossed.
Chapter 7:
When the foursome entered the Abbatoir, Klaus dragged Tyler's knocked out body down into the garden where Rebekah and Marcel seemed lost in a deep thought. Going passed them he found a cell and tossed Tyler in. Getting inside he chained him to the wall and secured him with some liquid wolfsbane and vervain coating the chains before leaving to see his sister and Marcel.
"What do you want?" Rebekah asked him warily as she looked up, her eyes seemingly haunted. "To torture me? That won't do you any good."
"If you knew that Kol was with Katerina while she was dating Elijah why let it continue?" He asked as he knelt in front of her.
"I love my brother," she whispered. "He didn't need that in his life and I thought that if he discovered it for himself he wouldn't stop me from killing her if I had asked." She leaned her head against Marcel's legs, tears in her eyes. "Instead of that I screwed up."
"Is there anything else you want to say?" Klaus, Marcel and Rebekah looked to see Elijah enter. "Anything at all?" Marcel looked at Rebekah who nodded and he sighed.
"I called Mikael here in 1919," he said, taking the entire blame for Rebekah. "I wasn't truly sure about you lettin' Bekah and I being together great and all so I asked a witch to call him here. Bekah found out and killed the witch."
He would take the blame for her as she was who he loved the most.
"I helped him call Mikael here," she pleaded before turning to Marcel. "Don't take the blame for my scheme. Please." She buried her face in his chest.
"Free them," the two brothers looked to see Elena there with her hands on her hips and Hayley in the same pose. "Unless you love sleeping on uncomfortable couches," the subtle threat hung in the air and Elijah looked to Klaus who sighed. "Thank you boys and now we need to see Moira about what she wants done to Katherine." The two women kissed their lovers on the cheeks before walking away with a sway to their hips.
Moira watched in complete surprise Katherine sitting in the chair across from her, no verbal insults tossed in her direction.
Then again, Moira found a spell that blocked Katherine's voice for a moment so the silence hung between them. Elena and Hayley were watching them from the couch with a bowl of popcorn between them.
"I wanted you to suffer," the young human whispered. "I want to see you scream in agony and cry out in pain but…" she licked her lips, "that's not me. I can't physically hurt anyone. My compassion holds me back and even when I wanted to hurt you I wanted you to be safe." She closed her eyes. "My mother has always been Miranda Gilbert and Ophelia Grant just decided to come back into my life to hurt me but it didn't mean she deserved death." Flicking her wrist, Katherine could tell that Moira was finished with her speech.
"She wasn't my first choice but she became the only choice once Caroline and Stefan decided to ruin the first one," she growled and Moira glowered at her. "I wanted either Caroline or Jenna to be the sacrifice." Moira's mouth was opened in an O. "Do you know what they did?"
"Caroline is with Stefan," Moira recalled as Katherine snickered, "while Jenna ran off."
"They turned her," Moira looked horrified. "She just…she's emotionless and suffering from desiccation by staying in a coffin with no way out. Buried on the Salvatore property somewhere."
"Why Jenna?" Moira finally asked.
"I compelled her to be honest about her feelings on you and your boyfriend at the time," Katherine closed her eyes. "She would have done whatever it took to break you and Stefan apart. Remember the dinner party she had for you and your friends? Who wasn't invited?" Moira shook her head. "She may have made it seem as though she wanted your happiness but why Matt?"
"He's human," she breathed. "Normal. Stable."
"The guy every girl wouldn't be ashamed to bring home to meet the family," Katherine told her. "She wanted everything the way it used to be-her with whoever caught her attention, you and Matt…what would have been better is if your parents were still alive."
Bonnie clicked her tongue as she tried to think if any vampire could break through her protection spells over her cabinet and yet…
Her eyes widened.
"The Mikaelsons," she breathed. "I need…" she grabbed her phone and dialed a familiar number. Upon the person answering it on the other end Bonnie spoke.
"I need a Mikaelson-or even all of them," she was thinking she had found a breakthrough. "I tested all the vampires that I know-and are still alive-but I haven't tested them against my spells."
"I'll send three of them your way," Moira's voice said instantly. "I'll even join them as I need to have them dig up Jenna and compel her to keep her emotions on and whatnot."
"Where is she?" Bonnie worried.
"Ask Stefan."
Elena looked as Kol, Rebekah, Marcel, Moira, Elijah and Klaus were getting ready to visit Mystic Falls.
"Are you sure that you're needed?" Elena asked Elijah. "I don't mind going back with you and visiting the house you have there again this time being completely sober."
"Besides," Hayley added as she watched her lover toss Tyler's body into the trunk of the car. "I want to see just what kind of damage has been done in your absence."
"Who will watch out for Davina?" Klaus asked the two girls and they sighed. "We will be safe ladies and besides," he smirked at them, "isn't one of you a witch and the other a werewolf? Plus with the three vampires and three witches in this house you both should be safe."
Bonnie looked at the last remaining Originals, Katherine Pierce, someone she wasn't sure about and Moira who stepped aside as Tyler was tossed into Bonnie's house (the hybrid having an invitation).
"I just need to test you all on whether or not you can get into my cabinet in the garage," she explained. "It'll help figure out who placed the potion in the salt shaker you used Elijah." The Noble brother looked and cocked his head to the side. "Please, Mikaelson siblings and Katherine, come inside."
"Can Marcel come in?" Rebekah asked as she didn't enter and the dark skinned man shrugged.
"I don't mind waitin' out here for ya," he told her before Bonnie cleared her throat.
"Marcel please come inside," she told him and he nodded with a quick smile.
As soon as they were inside Stefan went to her side as did Caroline and both recoiled at the look Moira gave them.
"I know what happened with Jenna," she told Stefan and he sighed as did Caroline causing the pregnant witch to gape at the two. "Whose blood was it?"
"It was my blood plus Stefan's," Caroline admitted. "I made up the story about her running away as it would be easier for you and Jeremy to believe unlike the truth."
"What happened with Jenna?" Bonnie asked and Elijah cleared his throat.
"According to Elena," he then eyed Stefan warily. "It appears that one of the Salvatores-surprisingly it was Stefan and not Damon-turned Jenna and buried her on the Salvatores property in a way to turn it all back on as she shut it off." He shrugged. "She or Caroline were Katerina's first choices yet it ended up with Ophelia who became the only choice."
"We will talk about this later Stefan," Bonnie snarled. "Did Damon have a part in it?"
"Not until Jenna woke in transition and he gave her the options of true death or a vampire life," Stefan told her. "She tore into the bloodbag and then shut it off. Damon snapped her neck and was going to talk to her about why she shut it off when I snapped his neck, placed her in a coffin and buried her with Caroline's help."
"I feel like deactivating your rings," Bonnie said lowly and with anger. "How could you two be so-" Moira finished for her.
"Reckless," Stefan and Caroline looked down. "This is one of the many reasons why I'm going to be living in New Orleans."
"So the other reason would the hot doctor doppelganger of Elijah here that you're dating?" Klaus teased the human now witch who flicked her fingers and he was on the ground in pain.
"He has a name," Moira bit out. "But he, Stefan, Caroline and learning magic as well as learning about the family from Elena and the others are definitive factors."
"I'm sorry you're dating who?" Stefan couldn't believe it but Bonnie did as she waved a hand, a smirk forming on her face that was reminiscent of Damon's.
"We're friends," Moira defended herself. "He hasn't taken me out on a date yet because he's still getting settled in as well as working out his schedule."
"Doppel he took you out for coffee and pastries," Katherine reminded her. "He's met your family and to be honest the family dynamic is an odd one." She still remembered the tongue lashing from Elena's grandmother as well as what the witch had done to her.
It was better left unsaid that the young pregnant witch all but cursed her to remember all the events that made her cold and cruel whenever she slept as well as forced her switch on humanity to be on.
She can't ever turn it off.
Kol cleared his throat.
"Can we actually get to what we were needed for?" He asked in a drawled tone. "Two of us need to go back to New Orleans as their pregnant lovers are probably worried about them being away." He smirked at Klaus and Elijah.
"Yes," Bonnie said with a nod. "This way." Kol followed behind her with the others trailing after him as they passed the archway that led from the living room to the kitchen and as she stood in the open doorway off to the kitchen, she pointed. "Can you even touch it?"
Katherine tried but her hand was nearly burned and she recoiled.
"So no for Katherine," Bonnie hummed. "Next." Klaus managed to get to the doorknob before he roared in agonizing pain. "Not Klaus." Elijah got as far as Klaus and Marcel got as far as Katherine. "Kol?" He looked and smirked. "What is it?"
"If there was a drop of magical potential they would have access to this cabinet," he told her. "Yes Kat was a human Traveler but she never practiced so the magic depleted itself and Elijah did do a little practicing before picking up the blade." He looked closer and nodded. "The reason why you haven't found who did it is because they needed a bit of your DNA-a drop of blood or hair sample- to even get to the potions." He placed his hand on the doorknob and as he removed it, his hand was burned before he plucked a strand of her hair and managed to get to the potions, bypassing everything.
"That still begs the question," Rebekah mused as she leaned against the countertop in the kitchen. "Who would do this? I can think of a few vampires and one hybrid…" her eyes were on Tyler who was just waking up. "Oh lookie here, the hybrid I was thinking about." She flashed over to him and had him pinned to the wall. "Did you take a strand of hair from Bonnie to get the potion?"
"I did," he croaked out. "I wanted to preserve the Lockwood bloodline through any means necessary."
"Instead it was Elijah who was preserving the Petrova and Mikaelson bloodlines," Moira mused. "I thought the plan in the bayou was batshit crazy but this was on a whole new level of crazy."
The sound of metal hitting the wood made Jenna Sommers open her eyes before she closed them until she felt the coffin she was stuck in for the longest time begin moving.
She couldn't open them as the sleep was crusted onto her eyelids and gathered in the corners of her eyes.
"Well she's alive," she could hear a familiar voice chirp up. "What now boys?"
"Don't worry," the other voice was vaguely familiar. "Every blind and drape has been closed."
"Who is that," her voice was cracked.
"Elijah Smith," the vaguely familiar voice answered. "Can you open your eyes?"
Jenna tried and when she did, her eyes were on Elijah Smith but he looked different. Moira was there and she too looked different and for some reason there was a curly haired version of Moira holding the hand of a young man and three others though one looked to be in her teens with her blonde hair in waves down her back.
"What's going on?" The curly haired version of Moira chuckled.
"So much and yet so little," she answered as she sat on the couch holding a bottle in her hands as well as a ring. "As thanks for solving her problems the Bennett witch gave us this potion for Rebekah and a ring for Jenna…provided that she abides by the rules stated by your family Elijah."
"What does that mean?" Jenna could barely talk.
"It means that our family is…very unique," the blonde answered in an airy tone. "We are the first. The Original Family."
"Let's head back and get her used to being a vampire," the blonde male said as he looked at his phone. "Hayley's feeling a bit…well, closed in and is threatening on going to the music festival."
Back in New Orleans Davina was sitting in her room, looking out at the people lining up the streets for the Dauphine Music Festival and she couldn't go.
She couldn't see Tim who she had the biggest crush on but when her bedroom door opened she looked to see the pregnant witch-Elena-there with a bag in her hands.
"As Hayley and I are feeling closed in," she began, "we decided to have Josh go into town and buy us some hair dye." She picked up a box and smirked. "Are you willing to go blonde? Or redhead?"
"Can I wear a wig instead?" She asked, as she wasn't sure if dyeing her hair was a good option.
"I also had him get some wigs in case," Hayley said as she appeared behind Elena with a bag filled with wigs of different lengths and colors. "I'm also going to placing makeup on my birthmark so that way, no one can tell if I'm a werewolf or not by look, only smell."
Davina smiled and hugged them once she stood up.
"Will we have vampires watching out for us?" She asked.
"Four vampires and two witches," Hayley told her before grinning at the look of pure joy on Davina's face. "Get ready."
