Hello, everyone. Your girl's back to update another chapter for you all. Since everyone wants to see Kalego answering Sicirue's question, I'll do it. Kalego will answer what he feels about humans in this chapter. He'll also might try to see if there's anything in Babylus to look for answers. I don't own the canon characters as they belong to their real owners while I only own my OCS.
Kalego was lost for words. Sicirue had just asked him if he believes in humans. He believes in what he sees. The subjects on humans had always been of one that Kalego wasn't interested in, unlike his friend. The dark purple haired man did often listened to his friend's talking of humans and how it would be interesting to meet one. However, Kalego strongly believes if such creatures were real, it might not end well for the human.
Sicirue waited for Kalego to answer honestly. It wasn't like he would hear that his friend would answer if a yes. He already knows that Kalego wasn't much of a believer of humans while being unaware that they did exist with Iruma being the living proof.
"Sicirue-kun, you already know the answer to that question," Kalego said while trying not to sound dismissive towards his old friend.
Sicirue nodded his head in understanding. However, he couldn't help but feel something strange about Kalego's lost lover. The way the dark purple-haired man described her almost sound like she wasn't from this world, especially of the places she and Kalego would spend their time together.
Places from the Human Realm. Could she have been a human that Kalego met? Sicirue didn't want to believe it, but there's a possibility she might have been one. This means Kalego was in the Human Realm 15 years ago. It could explain why Lord Sullivan and Opera were the ones saying Kalego was fine. They were possibly covering up the whole thing from the DPC from finding out about a forbidden love between a demon and a human.
"The library will be closing in ten minutes. If you use to check out books, please go to the front desk," The librarian said through the microphone.
Hearing that, Kalego took five of the books with him to check out, as of the rules of the library.
"So you're taking some of these with you, Kalego-kun?" Sicirue asks with him looking to see if there are any books in the romance aisle.
"Yes, there might still be clues I haven't notice. I will have to ask Iruma again when he's alone to answer my questions," Kalego said as he watches a young couple happily reading a book together while holding hands.
Closing his eyes, Kalego could only see his lover standing in the middle of a forest while under those strange trees with small flowers on them. She smiles so sweetly and innocent that he questions why she fell in love with him in the first place.
"Come one, Kalego-kun. We don't want to stay for the night," Sicirue said teasingly to his best friend while managing to find a book that could help them both.
Once they reach the front desk to check out their books, the two men wonder how Iruma would react to Kalego's question again.
"Before the Chair-Demon took Iruma with him, he said something about going to some restaurant to help with the boy's eating habit or something," Kalego said with annoyance in his voice for the demon always makes his job harder than it already was.
"Come on now, Kalego-kun. Sullivan-sama always seems to have a soft spot for you," Sicirue said, trying to cheer up his best friend.
"Yeah, a soft spot like cutting my pay on a whim," Kalego said as he took his books from the librarian.
"Well, you know how lonely he used to before Iruma-kun came. Besides, he seems to have lightened up a bit on cutting your pay," Sicirue said as he took his book from the librarian as well.
Once they left the building and enter the starry night, Kalego wonders if she was looking at the stars. But he forced himself to rethink that. She could be staring at the night sky right now, but with a different man instead. One that might be better than him. After all, his memories might not be great now, but he certainly knows that she was too kind and compassionate for a demon. She deserves better than him. Who knows? She and her new lover could have gotten married and had children together while Kalego remains single and teaching teenagers.
"Kalego-kun, are alright?" Sicirue asked concerning.
"I'm fine, Sicirue-kun," Kalego said as he walks down the steps.
"I have to go now. See you tomorrow at school, Sicirue-kun," The dark purple-haired man said he walks away from his closest friend before spread his wings and took flight.
Flying through the sky, Kalego was in deep thought. He wonders what caused him to forgot about his lover. They seemed so happy together. Kalego knows if they had broken up, he should remember that. But everything was blocked. It was like some kind of spell that was placed upon him. But they could have broken up so badly that Kalego wanted to forget about that event. However, that didn't make much sense to Kalego since he could take a breakup well.
Sighing, Kalego landed in front of his house. Going inside, Kalego suddenly felt some kind of loneliness in his own home. Chuckling at the new feeling that he now felt alone like Sullivan.
However, it would be nice to have someone waiting for him to come home after work. Someone asking him how his day was and telling him that dinner was ready. Kalego has never thought of himself having a wife or children. It's not like he didn't want a family, it's just that he had always felt that no woman would see him as husband material. Well, there is Momonoki and her crush on him, but Kalego doubts that any kind of relationship with her will last long. She might end up moving on and date someone that isn't much of a cruel man like himself.
Once he fully remembers everything, he'll go see his old lover and see if he should try to talk to her. Either way, he'll be fine with any type of closure as long she's happy with the life she has now after Kalego.
That's it, everyone. Kalego had answer Sicirue's answer. With Kalego still looking for any answer that might help him, Sicirue has now checked out a book that might help later. Meanwhile, Iruma is enjoying his dinner with his family. I'm planning to have the teachers and the Abnormal finding out about Iruma's eating habits. We all know they might end up worrying about our poor baby since it's totally out of character for him not wanting to eat or be hungry.
