"Excuse me?" Astrid stumbled back, "What did you just call me?"

Zephyr crossed her arms, "Your our mother. In the future."

"Whaaat?" Astrid gasped. She sat down in a near by chair.

"Darryah, Nuffink, and I are your kids. We time travled from the future to her and we're trying to find our way back."

Astrid suddenly thought of a question she never really thought of before. She took a deep breath and surprised herself by asking, "W-Who am I married to?"

At that moment Hiccup blushed.

Astrid's eyes widened in surprise and complete utter shock. Hiccup? She married Hiccup in the future? I mean, sure she liked him...a lot, but an actual marriage?!

"I know it's hard to believe but...it's true. We need your help." Zephyr said, "We really need to get back hone. How we got here is a long story, but we need a flower to get back."

"A flower?!" Astrid snorted, "Just go pluck on from the fields near by!"

"It's a rare type of flower," Darryah rolled her eyes, "It's located at the highest point of the archipelago."

"Oh..." Astrid trailed.

"Well, luckily, we know where that is. But it's a long flight on dragon. We're going to have to prepare." Hiccup added.

Zephyr sighed, "If we can start off tomorrow first thing in the morning, that would be great."

"Just hold your hand out..."

Zephyr was taming a dragon. Her very first dragon! Her father would never believe this back at home. She did shake a little when the Nadder made contact though. But when she started to nuzzle her, all her fear melted.

Since Darryah and Nuffink we're to young to fly dragons just yet, Nuffink was riding with Astrid and Darryah would ride with Hiccup. Once everything was packed, they'd be on their way.

Hiccup explained that the flight was at least three days, which Zephyr did not take a liking to. She asked if there was a shortcut or anything really, but the only way there is the regular route.

After attaching the last saddle bag, they all flew into the air, headed toward the center island, which had no name apparently.

Zephyr loved the fluttering feeling she got as she rode her dragon, Evergem. Even though she couldn't take her home with her, she tried to make every second count that she had with her.

They landed on a smaller island, about a day away from the center, to take a break and rest. Toothless had begun a small fire, and Evergem and Stormfly caught fish.

"Thanks you guys!" Zephyr gave each of the dragons a scratch.

The campfire was warm, it gave a cozy feeling to everyone that sat around it. The heat that radiated from it was like a warm blanket, or hug, that just made you feel safe.

Everyone sat in silence for awhile, trying to balance the awkwardness. Hiccup and Astrid have been avoiding each other for some time. Maybe they were still processing the fact that they get married in the future. Sure, the accepted each ofher as friends, but getting married?

Astrid had questioned her feelings for Hiccup more than once. She buried them deep inside her but whenever he was around, they bubbled up again, resulting in a kiss or a quick hug. Hiccup on the other hand, didn't really knew if she liked him more than just a friend. Sure two kisses are a lot, but he did really like Astrid. He just hadn't come around to telling her yet...

Zephyr and her sibling looked at each other uncomfortably. Then, when the silence was too much to bear, Zephyr said, "So...what have you guys been up to?"

"I've been working on a few things for Toothless." Hiccup said.

"What have you made?" Astrid asked.

"Oh...you know, the usual." Hiccup shrugged.

Everyone sighed awkwardly. This wasn't getting them anywhere, and it was getting late. Maybe they should just call it a night.

Zephyr yawned, "Well, I'm going to sleep."

"Same here." Darryah and Nuffink said at the same time.

Zephyr guided them to the little tent. "See you in the morning.. "

Astrid and Hiccup said a quick goodnight to the three and continued o sit in silence.

"So...married huh?" Astrid said quietly.

"Y-yeah..." Hiccup looked down.

More silence was shared between the two. Then Astrid asked, "Do you really like me?"

Hiccup started to fidget. He blushed, "W-well, I um...y-yes, I think...I mean I do! I mean..." He sighed and buried his face in his hands. He felt so embarrassed.

Astrid set a hand on his shoulder. "I like you too, Hiccup." she confessed

Hiccup looked up, "Y-you do?"

"Yep."

"But I'm not...muscular or strong. I'm clumsy, awkward and accident prone!"

"That's what makes you...you." Astrid said, "Your funny, kind, sarcastic..."

Hiccup laughed.

"It doesn't matter how you look. It on the inside that counts." Astrid finished.

"Thank you, Astrid." Hiccup smiled.

Astrid punched him lightly on the shoulder, "That's for doubting yourself." Then she kissed him, "And that's for everything else."

Hiccup and Astrid had been leaning against their dragons and they decided it was ok to lick their riders.

"Eww! Toothless!" Hiccup laughed, "Bad dragon!"

"Stormfly! Get off!" Astrid giggled.

They stopped licking them and crooned.

"Well I guess we should call it a night." Hiccup yawned.

"Mhm."

"Goodnight Astrid."

"Goodnight...Dragonboy."

Hiccup smiled, then headed into his tent.

The next morning, Zephyr made breakfast. She was in a good mood today. "Rise and shine everyone!" she said cheerfully.

Astrid popped out of her tent, "You made breakfast?"

"Yep! Who's up for fish with a side of fish?" she smiled.

Everyone else emerged from their tents.

"It's to earrrllyy..." Nuffink moaned.

"Five more minutes..." Darryah yawned.

"I agree with them..." Hiccup rubbed an eye.

"We things to do and places to go! Come people!" Astrid and Zephyr said in unison.
They turned to face each other and laughed.

After breakfast, they were back in the air again, resuming their journey to the center.

"Are we their yet?" Nuffink asked.

"No not yet." Astrid told him.

After two more hours of flying, Nuffink asked the same question again.

"We're close." Hiccup assured him.

After some more flying Nuffink asked again.

"We're here!" Zephyr cheered as she pointed to the large island ahead of them.

"Woo-hoo!" Darryah clapped.

"Finally!" Nuffink smiled.

Once they landed, everyone took a moment to stretch.

"Ok, so what now?" Astrid asked.

"We find the flower up their." Darryah pointed to the mountain.

"What?!" Zephyr cried.

"Don't worry, we can just fly up." Hiccup said.

"Not a good idea." Astrid told him, "It's too windy up their. And the dragons are already tired enough."

"So what do we do?" Zephyr frowned.

"We're going to have to climb."

And da-da-da they're dead! Just kidding! We're so close to the end guys!

Sorry if this chapter seems a bit short...but I think it got it's point across. I really like writing that romantic moment with Hiccup and Astrid at the campfire. *Hums romantic flight music*
