Astrid ran off into the city, forcing the Sins to split up to search for her.

"Astrid where are you!" Eret cried out. "Say something! Hey, Astrid!"

"Where are you?" Fishlegs yelled.

"Astrid, answer me!" Heather pleaded.

"So let me get this straight," said Snotlout as he and Hiccup searched together. "You and Astrid were married? And she used to have a real body?"

"Yes, original body was damaged beyond repair during an attack 3000 years ago," Hiccup explained. "I pleaded Ragnar to save, but the only thing he could do was extract her soul. He then worked tirelessly in order to find a way to revive Astrid, and that's when he discovered that the Demon Race had a mechanical doll that could be used as a vessel for her soul.

"The problem was the doll was being used by a man the name of Gowther, he was such a strong mage that the Demon King couldn't believe it. But that led him to be picked to be the Ten Commandments of Selflessness, which is the ability to robe anyone of the desire of all their memories and emotions. So the Demon King took precautions and locked him up in prison since he could not leave his cell he created a magical doll to always be there at his place.

"Ragnar then told me that he had a plan to revive Astrid, but told me that he had to trust me. Naturally, I did, and Ragnar began to plan for Gowther escape from prison in exchange for the use of the doll. Clearly, the deal worked, and Astrid was revived, but she was absolutely furious with the two of us, and I don't know what happened to her after that."

"And I thought my life was complicated," said Snotlout.

Astrid began wandering through the streets, her mind conflicted. 'Don't want my heart to return to me, the pain is just too much.'

Images flashed into her head, and she began crying out in pain. 'No, it's happening again. I have to get rid of these memories.'

Both Astrid and Ragnar had just exited the Fairy Forest, there was no sign of Zeldris, so it looked as if they were able to get away. Of course, that meant that Drole no doubt fallen and there was no sign of Gowther either.

"Where's Gowther?" Astrid asked.

"I don't know, he probably took a different route to us," said Ragnar.

"Do you think it's safe to let him go? I mean he is one of the Ten Commandments."

"Not after that little stunt, he'll be hunted for the rest of his life. I don't know exactly what he has planned, but he was telling the truth that he planned to end the Holy War."

"How?" Astrid asked.

"He never told me the particulars, but right now we have to meet up with someone."

Astrid gave him a suspicious look. "Who exactly?"

"Astrid," said a voice.

Astrid's eyes widened as she slowly turned and found Hiccup standing there with Ruby in his arms.

"Hiccup," she said breathlessly.

Hiccup placed Ruby gently on the ground and slowly began making his way over to Astrid. He could not express the joy in his heart was seen his wife in the flesh. He pressed his hand against her cheek and looked into her eyes, but then suddenly, he saw a glimpse of anger. A split second later he was punched in the face by Astrid so hard that he fell to the ground.

"What was that for?" Hiccup yelled, rubbing his bruised cheek.

"For everything," she spat angrily.

Hiccup looked confused. "I don't understand."

Astrid glared at him. "How could you not understand? Because of you, our people are no more, we all told you the peace between the Angels and Demons was an impossibility. Kept telling you not to proceed with this!"

Hiccup closed his eyes. "The Angels and Demons Races on the brink of war. I saw an opportunity to end the fighting and bring peace. I just underestimated the hatred for another."

"Something which I kept trying to tell you! And if it is not bad enough that you got us killed, give put my soul in this monstrosity."

"That was my idea," said Ragnar plainly. "Hiccup had no idea what I had planned."

"He could have just let me go!" Astrid spat.

Hiccup looked at the ground, unable to look at her. "I just couldn't lose you."

Tears then began to pour out of Astrid's eyes. "You already did."

Then without another word, she immediately ran off.

"Astrid, wait!" Hiccup yelled, beginning to chase after her.

Ragnar then quickly grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back. "Give her some time."

Hiccup looked at him. "She shouldn't be out there on her own."

"I don't think you want to see either of us at this point and you know how dangerous she gets when she's angry."

Hiccup knew in his heart that he was right, that didn't make the situation any easier. He just watched as Astrid disappeared into the distance and trade that they would one day be reunited.

Many years have passed, and Astrid was still wandering around the land without a destination in mind. The one thing she had noticed was that her body hadn't aged, nor did she need sleep or food; it looked as if she was immortal.

She had no idea how many years had gone by since she last saw Hiccup or Ragnar and nor did she care. In fact, she never wanted to see their faces ever again, that said she hoped that Hiccup was all right.

She then came across a small town, which contained a few hundred people and made her way to the nearest tavern. Even though she had no need for food or drink to survive, she could still feel the taste of it though she had no idea why.

"Don't get many travellers out here," said the bartender as he prepared her a drink. "Where you headed?"

"Nowhere," she said.

"Sounds like a story behind it."

"One that I don't wish to share," said Astrid as she drank. She looked around and saw all the people seem to be relatively happy and carefree, strange considering the entire continent was at war. "Things seem peaceful here."

"Aye, have been ever since the end of the Holy War," the bartender nodded.

Astrid's eyes widened. "The Holy War is over?"

The bartender gave her a strange look. "What rock have you been living under? The Holy War ended decades ago."

Astrid couldn't believe her ears, she knew she had been travelling for years, but she hadn't realised decades had gone by.

"I don't believe it," said Astrid.

The bartender shrugged. "Believe it. I was only a boy when it ended, don't know what really happened that it is said that the Demon Race was locked in their realm by the Angel Race, who gave up their physical forms to do it."

Astrid then began to wonder what happened to Hiccup, but then she remembered she wanted nothing to do with him.

The bartender looked at her curiously. "You know you do look familiar, I swear I've seen your face somewhere before."

"Not likely, I don't often stay in one place too long."

It was then that tavern door opened and a young woman entered. Astrid was utterly astonished because this woman looked almost exactly like her except her hair was auburn instead of blonde.

"Calder, I need a drink," she said as she made her way to the bar.

Calder looked at her and then looked at Astrid. "Now I know why you look so familiar, you're the spitting image of a young chief."

The young woman stepped up and looked at Astrid. "Who are you?"

"Just a simple traveller," said Astrid simply. "My name is Astrid."

"That's a coincidence, my mother was named Astrid," she said in an extended her hand. "It's nice to meet you, my name is Zephyr Haddock."

Astrid's eyes widened because it soon dawned on her that she was face-to-face with her daughter.

Zephyr invited her to her home, where became more acquainted and Zephyr was just as shocked to discover that Astrid was, in fact, her mother.

"But you're old enough to be my sister," said Zephyr in disbelief.

"This is not my real body, it's just a mechanical doll that my soul now inhabits," Astrid explained.

"I was told that you were dead, I just can't believe what I'm hearing."

"Believe me I had no idea that you were the chief of this town, in fact, I didn't even realise the Holy War was over."

"Must have been quite a shock when you found out."

"Just a little, I don't suppose you heard anything from your father."

"He came here for a time, to teach both my brother and me how to lead. Then once I was old enough, he gave me his crown and was never seen again."

"Why did he leave?"

Zephyr shrugged. "I don't know, but I could tell that his heart was broken."

"And where is your brother?" Astrid asked.

"Nufflink? Oh, he's patrolling the borders we've got some nasty neighbours may appear to be under the impression that both my brother and I are demons spawn."

Astrid looked at her bewildered. "Why would they think that?"

"I have no clue, but they won't listen to reason I'm afraid we can be a war at any given moment."

Astrid began to wonder whether they had mistaken Hiccup to be a demon. It wasn't the first time, Dragonborn the often mistaken to be demons, but now they were pretty much extinct.

"I fear my presence being here won't help if they discover that I'm your mother," said Astrid.

Zephyr nodded. "You're right, but I don't want you to leave at least not yet. I never thought I get the chance to meet my mother and am willing to take the risk of war just to know you."

"Your father took risks, and that's what caused me to lose my body," said Astrid bluntly.

"I know, but don't think there was a day that has gone by that he regretted losing you. It's only now that I understand the deepness of that pain."

Before Astrid could respond, the door burst wide open, and the young man with short blond hair and emerald green eyes entered. He bought a slight resemblance to Hiccup, though he appeared to be bit more battle-hardened.

"Oh, I didn't realise you had a guest," he said.

"It's quite all right, Nufflink," said Zephyr.

Astrid's eyes widened as she realised the man before her was her son.

"What's happening?" Zephyr asked.

"I'm afraid they're back," said regretfully.

Zephyr sighed. "What were their demands?"

"The usual, you hand over the town to then, and they let us live as exiles."

"What is your counteroffer?" Zephyr asked.

"That we'd send them packing if they dare step a single toner our borders."

"As diplomatic as ever."

Nufflink races his hands up in defence. "Hey, I'm just doing my job. Anyway, they've fallen back for now, but I can only assume they're gathering their forces."

Zephyr sighed and rose to her feet. "Then I had better get over there."

"I'm coming to," said Astrid.

"This isn't your fight, whoever you are," said Nufflink.

"I thought I've just heard, it is very much my fight," said Astrid.

With that they rode horseback and made their way towards the outpost which was heavily guarded.

"Do your neighbours often cause so much trouble?" Astrid asked.

"Only recently, they're a very fanatical bunch almost like a cult," said Nufflink.

"I've seen my share of cults, they're never a good thing," said Astrid.

They began climbing the steps towards the tower that overlooked the fields they could see an army at their doorstep. It had to be at least 1000 strong, compared to their 100 troops they were outnumbered 10 to one.

"How do they get so many soldiers?" Astrid asked bewildered.

"I think most of them are actually peasants," said Nufflink. "We've got much better arms and armour as well as training."

"We're still very much outnumbered," said Zephyr grimly. "I must say I do not like our chances. I would like to talk this out, but any messenger we would send will get shot."

"I'm afraid the time for talking is done," said Nufflink.

"Send me," said Astrid and the two of them stared at her. "I can deliver any message, and I can protect myself."

"I'm not sure that's a good idea," said Nufflink looking at her suspiciously. "We have no idea who you are."

"I do, and I trust her," said Zephyr plainly and Nufflink gave her strange look. "I'll explain once all this is sorted out." She then looked at Astrid. "You sure you want to do this?"

"If they attack, they'll regret it," she said.

"Then, I'll write a quick message."

"And you best take an axe just in case," Nufflink advised.

Astrid then started to make her way towards the commander of the enemy force, he was easy to spot as he was riding a white stallion and he had this pompous look about himself.

"Who are you," he said, looking down at her as if she was some sort of insect.

"A messenger from Chief Zephyr," she said, handing the letter over to him.

He took the letter, but instead of reading it, he immediately tossed it aside. "I have no interest in what this demon's spawn has written. Either she and her brother surrendered to our terms, or else there'll be executed."

"They're not demons spawn," said Astrid bluntly.

"I have no time to argue with a lowly messenger," he said and looked at his men. "Kill her."

His guard immediately drew their swords, but Astrid moved to quick for them and immediately drew out her axe. A split second later the two guards have their heads completely chopped off, catching the commander by surprise.

"Kill her!" he ordered.

Astrid soon found 1000 men charging towards her, but she held her ground and raised her axe. "Valkyrie Cry!"

She then swung her axe with all her might unleashing a massive that sliced right through many of the troops. The commander was not off his horse, and he looked up at Astrid, terrified.

"Demon!" he yelled.

"I'm no demon," Astrid spat. "Now I suggest you take your men and leave never to return."

The commander looked as if he wanted to fight some more, but his fear gave out and immediately called for the retreat. Astrid began making her way back towards the outpost and noticed a few stunned people waiting for her.

Nufflink stared at her. "How did you—"

"My magic power is Overdrive," Astrid explained. "The angry that someone is, the stronger I become, and there was a lot of anger in that army."

Zephyr sighed as she looked at the retreating army. "They'll be back, and they'll bring a larger army next time."

"Then we have to get prepared," said Nufflink and then looked at Astrid. "Will you stay and help?"

Astrid smiled at him. "Anything for my family."

Over the next few years, Astrid stayed at the town protecting it from their enemies. Not only has she protected the town, but gradually they began expanding their borders as their foes became weaker every time they attacked.

During that time she had a wonderful time with son and daughter, she only regretted that she never got to watch them grow up. Clearly, Hiccup did a good job raising them by himself, and she always wished that she had gone with him.

Astrid was currently at the outpost with her son, keeping an eye out in case the enemy tried to rape them again.

"You would have thought after four years they would give up," said Nufflink.

"I should kill their commander when I have that chance," said Astrid.

Nufflink smiled "Hey if it weren't for you, we would have fallen years ago, mother."

Astrid looked at him curiously. "I noticed you been spending a lot of time with a certain girl, anything I should know about?"

Nufflink's face then turned bright pink. "S-she's just a good friend."

Astrid chuckled. "A very good friend by the looks of it."

Nufflink was about to argue, but then something caught his attention.

"It's them again," he said.

Astrid turned and saw another enemy army making their way towards them, they were certainly far more numerous than last time.

"They don't know when to give up, do they?" said Astrid as she rose to her feet.

"Not with them answering that zealot commanding them," said Nufflink.

"Which is why we need to confront him," said a voice behind them.

They turned, and they were astonished to find Zephyr sending there, they hadn't even noticed her.

"When you get here?" Nufflink asked.

"Just now," she said as she overlooked the outpost. "This is a never-ending conflict, and we have to end it."

"How?" Astrid asked. "Surely you're not going to submit to his terms."

"Of course not, but we can't keep doing this forever. Which is why it's time that we negotiate a ceasefire."

"He'll never submit to it, he still believes we're the spawn of a demon," said Nufflink.

Zephyr looked at her. "What choice do we have our people are worn out we can't count on mother to defend us all the time?"

"I think this is a bad idea Zephyr, your father tried to bring peace like this once before, and it only ended in disaster," said Astrid.

"I know, but sooner or later we'll be overrun the more we expand our borders, the more resentment we get from our neighbours. I had hoped that our military might be able to convince them to stop the fighting, but it's clear now that diplomacy is the only way."

"At least let me accompany you just in case," Astrid insisted.

Zephyr sighed. "Very well, but please don't do anything to provoke them."

The two of them quickly mounted their horses and began making their way to the commander, who now had several scars on his face. He also didn't look particularly glad to see them, though considering that they had beaten him every turn it wasn't surprising.

"I wish to discuss a ceasefire," said Zephyr.

"We have nothing to discuss with demons spawn," the commander growled.

"What makes you even think where demon spawn?" Zephyr asked.

"Then there's her," he said, pointing at Astrid. "I have had from an excellent authority that she is, in fact, your mother. If that is the case, then that would mean she isn't human."

"I was human," said Astrid.

"She admits it!"

"I was given a new body by an Angel when my old body was destroyed by the Demon Race," Astrid continued. "I should also add that my husband actually battled against the Demon Race during the Holy War."

A few of the commander's troops began to mutter among themselves. Clearly, they were beginning to question the reason for being here.

"Don't listen to her lies!" the commander yelled. "She doesn't have a shred of proof to confirm what she's saying."

"Nor do you have any evidence supporting your claim," Astrid added.

The commander definitely starting to get riled up and Zephyr quickly intervened before things got even more heated.

"This argument is getting us nowhere, and neither is this fighting," she said, looking at all parties pleadingly. "Surely we can come to some sort of peaceful understanding."

The commander looked at her with narrowed eyes. "No. Attack!"

With that fighting immediately broke out and Astrid found herself cutting through enemy soldiers. She had lost sight of Zephyr the moment the fighting started.

Then out of the corner of her eyes, she saw the commander advancing towards Zephyr and Nufflink were fighting back to back. Nufflink must have rode into the battle the moment the fighting started and was able to locate Zephyr. Two of them were fighting in perfect unison, but the commander clearly had more experience and was stronger and began put them on the defensive.

Astrid then immediately disengage with the enemy she was fighting and rushed towards them as quickly as she could. However, she couldn't move fast enough to stop what happened next. The commander managed to disarm Zephyr and then plunged his sword right through her chest.

"No!" Astrid cried.

Nufflink grabbed his fallen sister in his arms and the commander advanced towards and prepared to finish him off. Astrid just managed to jump in front of him blocking his attack and now her heart was filled with anger.

"I'll make you pay," she said.

The commander just sneered at her. "So long as I succeed in stamping out corruption, I will die a happy man."

Astrid anger began to build up inside the giving her more strength, and then she unleashed that power.

Nufflink had fallen unconscious during the fighting when he awoke he found all the enemy soldiers lying down on the ground dead. He was still holding Zephyr in his arms, and she was barely alive.

"Stay with me, Zephyr," he pleaded.

Zephyr just smiled at him. "I can't, it'll be up to you to lead people."

Tears began to form in Nufflink's eyes then he noticed the first time that Astrid was nowhere to be seen. "Where's Mum?"

Zephyr looked at him sadly. "The pain was just too much for her to handle. So much so that she ripped her heart out of her body." He then noticed that clutching in her hands, was a crystallised heart. "Moment she ripped her heart of the chest, she lost all emotion aside from her anger. She then left."

Nufflink grabbed the heart. "What am I supposed to?"

"Lead people and find a way to give our mother back her heart," said Zephyr and then closed her eyes for the last time.

Astrid meanwhile was wondering love and now heartless filled with nothing but anger.

'I lost Hiccup, and now I've lost my daughter, too much for one to bear,' she said. 'No longer human just adore so I might well be a heartless doll.'

Back in the present, Heather quickly tackled Astrid to the ground before she can make another move. The two of them struggled for a few seconds until Astrid managed to break free from her grip.

"What are you doing, Heather?" said Astrid.

"I'm trying to help you," said Heather. "I don't know why you're feeling so much pain, but that pain is what makes you human. Take that away, and you will lose yourself."

"That's the thing I'm not human any more," said Astrid.

"Astrid you're the toughest person I know, anyone can handle the pain it's you."

"Just leave me alone!" Astrid yelled as she swung her axe and unleashed a large of magical slashes at her.

However, Heather just nimbly dodged all of them much to Astrid surprise.

"Power level 15,100? Impossible!" Astrid stared and then decided to make a run for it.

However blocking her path was Fishlegs, who was floating there with Chastiefol in its Guardian form behind him.

"Fishlegs? Power level 41,600?" said Astrid staring at him. "What's happening?"

Astrid then quickly grabbed Astrid before she can make another move and placed her in a tight hold.

"Stop it, Astrid!" Heather yelled at the top of her voice.

"Let me go, I have to stop this pain!" Astrid yelled and then start the screaming anguish.

"Do not let go her, Heather," said Ragnar as he appeared alongside Hiccup.

"Ragnar? Hiccup?" Heather blinked.

"It took a while, but I finally figured out why you're so mentally unstable," said Ragnar. "It's the memories themselves that the issue, every time you remember something, you have a reverse reaction by going berserk." He then held out a crystal heart. "This is one of the causes."

Hiccup looked at Astrid. "Astrid I know what happened you can't blame yourself for what happened to our daughter. It wasn't your fault you did everything you could to protect her, our son knew that which is why he passed down the heart down through the generations."

Tears began to form in Astrid's eyes. "Please don't do this to me."

"So much pain," said Fishlegs.

"Keep yourself together!" Heather yelled at Astrid. "You don't have to carry this pain all by yourself! Deep down inside, you love Hiccup, no matter how you try to hide it! Also, we're all your friend you can lean on us!"

Astrid just stood there and began remembering all the happy times she had with the children and finally stopped struggling to free herself from Heather.

"I've been looking into this heart for a bit," said Ragnar. "And I couldn't find any heart magic inside of it."

"That strange, so where is her heart?" Fishlegs asked curiously.

"It's still inside of Astrid herself now and before," Ragnar explained.

Astrid looked at him. "You're saying that I've always had a heart."

"That's right, you just buried your emotions deep inside no one can fully purge their emotions," said Ragnar. "That was the case the anger inside of you wouldn't have existed."

"He's right if those tears aren't I don't know what is," said Heather releasing her.

Then a bright light began to cover Astrid, and everyone sensed that the magic power started to increase.

"Astrid's magic power just got a huge surge," said Fishlegs.

"What we're seeing must be her true magic power level," said Ragnar. "It's finally returned to her along with all of her emotions."

'In the past, they chose to close off my heart, I did so to wipe away all those painful memories, but I love the ones I cared about too,' said Astrid.

She then looked at Hiccup, and before anyone realised it, she pulled him into a deep kiss.

Snotlout whistled. "Guess they really didn't need my help."

Eret then arrived. "I get the impression that I've missed something."

Astrid finally pulled away from Hiccup and smiled at Heather. "You never gave up on me, thank you for guiding me in the right direction Heather."

"That's what friends are for, no big deal," Heather smiled. "Now the entire gang is here."

"For the Seven Deadly Sins today is a day to celebrate," said Ragnar. "Let's drink and be merry."

"Drinks on me guys," said Hiccup.

"You'll regret saying that," said Snotlout.

Everyone laughed as they made their way back to the castle.

"So Ragnar what was that heart thing anyway?" Heather asked curiously.

"It was a good luck charm that Hiccup created I merely installed it inside of Astrid," Ragnar explained.

"Oh, I see," said Heather looking back at Hiccup and Astrid who were now walking together hand-in-hand.
