Rosalie

November 3rd 1994

We were ushered out of the great hall and were told to get back to our dorms. "Congrats to Cedric!" Fred said to me as all six of us started our way towards the astronomy tower. I gave him a weak smile and didn't say anything. Fred stepped in front of me, stopping me in my tracks. I looked up at him, tears in my eyes but I refused to let them fall. Fred gave me a concerned look and gestured for the others to go on to the roof. "What's the matter?" he asked in a soft voice. A couple tears slipped down my cheeks and I left out a soft sob.

"I'm just nervous, Fred," I said, wiping my tears away, "I'm nervous for him." Fred pulled me into a hug.

"It's okay to feel nervous, Rosalie. Yes, this is what he wanted but you can't help but be worried for his safety. It's okay," Fred smoothed my hair as I buried my face into his sweater. I pulled away from him and gave him the biggest smile I could. I didn't want him to worry about me even though I still felt like shit.

"Shall we go smoke with the rest of them?" I asked. Fred wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"I think we should."

"Rosalie!" Cedric jogged over to me and gave me a kiss on my forehead.

"Hey, Cedric," I said with a small laugh. For whatever reason, he always made me feel better.

"How are you doing love?" he asked me while wrapping his arms around my neck and pulling me in for a hug. He smelled of leather, cedar, and sweet grass. The way he smelled was absolutely intoxicating.

"Better now that you're here," I said burying my face into his chest. He pulled away and I pouted, wanting to snuggle him more. "Are you excited for the tournament?" I asked him.

"I am! I hope to win and bring Hufflepuff glory," he said with a wink. "How do you feel about me being in the tournament, though?"

"I'm really excited for you! I know you're going to do great!" I said, slightly lying through my teeth. I was really excited for him but I still couldn't shake my bad feeling.

"I'll walk you to class. Where are you headed?" he said with the biggest smile. I couldn't help but smile back.

"Ancient Runes, where are you headed?"

"Care of Magical creatures," he said as we started to walk towards my class.

"That's all the way on the other side of campus... are you sure?" I asked, feeling bad. I don't want to make him late.

"It's okay, love, you know Hagrid doesn't mind," he laughed and we continued to walk.

He dropped me off and I met up with Siobhan and Winnie. Professor Babbling started her lecture. I couldn't help but daydream about Cedric and what was going to happen to him in the tournament.

We caught Ophelia and George on our way out of class. "Where's Fred?" I asked. Ophelia and George both shrugged their shoulders.

"Last I saw him was in potions, I asked if he wanted to come with me to pick up Ophelia from divination but he just ignored me and walked away. He's been so grumpy lately," George explained. Winnie raised her eyebrows.

"That's not like him at all. He can't go thirty minutes without being next to you, George," Winnie stated. George shrugged his shoulders.

"If it gets me away from his attitude then I'm fine with it," he stated.

"Why don't you guys go up to the roof and I'll go find him and see if he wants to come smoke. I know he won't turn it down and maybe it'll brighten his mood," I said with a smile. We went our separate ways and I walked into the common room. He wasn't there. Okay, he's probably in the boys dorms. I walked into it, which was something I did often even though it technically wasn't allowed. I saw Lee Jordan and he waved. "Have you seen Fred?" I asked.

Lee pointed over to his bed and I strolled over there. Some type of music was playing softly. My mind pinpointed it as Elvis but how would Fred know about him? I shook the lump on Fred's bed and he turned over.

"Wake up!" I said with a laugh. Fred just rolled back over. I rolled my eyes and sat on his bed. "Why are you acting like this?" I asked.

"Go away," he whined. I rolled on top of him.

"No."

"Fine." Fred sat up, making me fall off of him. The twin bed he slept on wasn't big enough to fit me and him so on I ended up on the hard stone floor. "Shit, I'm sorry Rosy, are you okay?" Fred asked. I stood up, rubbing my elbow.

"Fuck you." Fred started to laugh and I hit him. "Do you wanna come smoke or not?" I asked.

"Yeah, why didn't you ask that in the first place?"
