CHAPTER 7: THE SHOCKING TRUTH

(Ray's P.O.V)

Hey there! Ray Kon this side. Here I am with my team training on the beach. Tyson and Max have just begun their battle. Kenny is typing on his laptop, as usual while Kai is leaning against the wall with eyes closed and arms crossed. And Hilary is not here now as she decided that her room in the dojo needs severe cleaning and you might get the picture now.

And Tyson and Max's battle have just ended resulting in a draw. Tyson's cell phone rang just now and by looking at his expression, I can tell that it's Hilary's call.

"Hey Hils! What's going on?" he asked enthusiastically. I was right you see.

"Tyson you Moron!" I can hear Hilary's voice from the other side of the line. "Where are my favorite socks?!"

Tyson made an annoyed face while Max snickered at the comment. "Come on Hilary! What do you think I am? A sock thief?" Now I can't control my laughter.

"No Tyson you aren't. But you surely are a dumbass to wear socks without even looking whose they are!"

Well Hilary's right here. He is the only in the group who wears everybody's socks and then leaves them in a condition which I can't explain.

"Uhh… Which one?" Tyson asked.

"That White colored one with two orange strips on it." She explained.

"Oh Hils… why would I wear that pair?! Orange is too girly…" he said making a face.

"Huh! Think I have to find them myself." Hilary said hanging up. And Tyson mumbled the same words he always says after Hilary hangs up.

"Typical Hilary" He sighed.

(After 20 minutes)

I've just defeated Max in a battle! "Nice try Maxie!" I assure my blonde friend while he smiled at me.

Just then we saw Hilary running towards us. But the strange thing was that she is all flustered and exhausted. Her hair are matted against her forehead and she is panting heavily.

"HILARY! What happened?" Tyson asked as worried as all of us.

She is still panting heavily. "Hilary, please calm down." I said soothing her.

"Yes Hilary. You'll hurt yourself." Max said.

Tyson kept a hand on her shoulder and asked worriedly, "Hilary what is the matter?"

"H-Hiro… Hiro's… gone!" she blurted out.

We all stood there dumbfounded. Tyson backed away from her taking a few steps behind in utter shock. Then in a moment, his expression changed into one of pure anger.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN GONE?!" he demanded an answer from her.

"Gone… H-He left… the team…" she said stuttering.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN? I THINK I OWE AN EXPLAINATION TACHIBANA-SAN!"

!Red Alert! Whenever Tyson and Hilary call each other with their Japanese surname, it means stay away from them as the volcano can erupt anytime!

"STOP BEING A JERK! HE LEFT THE TEAM! WHAT ELSE DO YOU DEMAND KINOMIYA-KUN?!" She screamed.

I told you stay away! And I literally mean stay away!

Now this is it. Tyson ran away so fast for us to even notice it.

"Hilary, how did you know this?" I asked Hilary as we all were running in the direction Tyson went.

"I went into Tyson's room to search for my socks and found this lying under the table." She handed me a piece of paper. We all stopped running to take a look.

Dear Tyson, Bladebreakers,

I wanted to inform that I wouldn't be able to contact you for a few days. I'd be out for as long as, I don't know how much. So you all will need another coach for the tournament. I can't tell much for now.

(Normal P.O.V)

After searching the whole Bakuten, the group arrived near the jungle to look for their blunette friend.

Suddenly, Kai heard a familiar sound. "Shh. Guys listen." He said to the others. On hearing the sound of a spinning beyblade, Hilary exclaimed, "It's Dragoon!"

On following the sound, they reached inside the forest and found Tyson sitting under a tree with dragoon spinning near him.

"Tyson!" His friends cried.

His face was bent downwards. On reaching closer to him, they noticed that he was unconscious.

"Tyson! Wake up!" Hilary kneeled down and began shaking him.

"Oh god! What happened to him?" Max asked approaching them.

Suddenly, Hilary noticed that there was blood all over Tyson's left hand.

"Ray!" she yelled "Look!"

When they looked at his hand, they noticed that the knuckles of his left hand were all bruised and blood was seeping unstoppably. It looked like he had been punching the tree he was leaning against. All their faces filled with horror.

Ray quickly picked him up on his back and began walking towards the dojo.

"Hilary! Pick Dragoon!" Ray commanded as Hilary bent down to pick the spinning beyblade up.

"I hope he is fine…" Hilary said, tears flowing from her eyes as she looked at Tyson's bruised and blood seeping hand.

When they reached the dojo, Hilary began cleaning and treating Tyson's hand while Kenny and Ray explained everything to Tyson's worried grandpa.

Tyson's eyes slowly opened as he took the view around. Hilary was wrapping a bandage around his wounds with tears falling continuously from her eyes. Max was sitting beside her, his cheerful persona nowhere to be seen.

"H-Hils…" He said slowly.

She was startled to hear his voice. She looked up at him and more tears flowed from her eyes, but this time from happiness of seeing him awake.

"Tyson!" all his friends shouted out of joy and ran up to him. As Tyson sat up, Max enveloped him and Hilary into a group hug. As they pulled apart, Tyson looked at Hilary and smiled at her. But Hilary's expression was far more different than a smile.

"NOW WHY ARE YOU SMILING LIKE THIS?! FIRST YOU HURT YOURSELF LIKE A MAD DOG AND NOW YOU ARE SMILING?!" Hilary yelled at him as she broke into another sob of tears.

"I-I was so worried…" she said sobbing as Ray soothed her with a hug like a mother.

"I-I'm sorry Hilary… sorry guys… I was just so stubborn in anger… to realize anything…" Tyson said feeling embarrassed.

"We know Tyson." Kenny said smiling that his friend was okay now.

Just then Kai walked in and said, "So you're finally awake. Well, we gotta go. Mr. D called."
