Here is Chapter 18. I kind of struggled with where to start this one, but decided to do a time jump and kind of go along with the theme/topics discussed in the last chapter. So is baby Riggins a boy or girl? We will find out!

Wendsday, November 24th

(Julie is 19 weeks pregnant)

"Can I get two chocolate fudge sundaes?" Tim ordered into the drive-thru of the Alamo Freeze. The drive-thru worker responded, telling him the price. He pulled up to the window paying the worker at the window who in turn handed him the sundaes. Tim drove into an empty parking spot and killed the engine. Julie had already started on her sundae.

"So, it's a girl," Julie stated as Tim brought a spoonful of ice cream to his mouth. "Are you happy?" Julie smirked as Tim smiled with a mouthful of ice cream. He had barely been able to keep a straight face when the doctor announced they were having a girl. Really, both Julie and Tim would have been happy either way, but they had both been leaning towards girl recently.

"Yeah, yeah I am," Tim responded with a wide smile. "I hope she's just like you," he responded which cause Julie to blush. She unbuckled her seat belt and slid into the middle seat. She then placed a sweet kiss on Tim's cheek.

"I love you," She stated.

"I love you too," Tim repeated kissing Julie, this time on the lips. They finished their ice cream and Tim dropped Julie off at her house. Tim then headed to Hermann field for this afternoon's football practice.

It was the day before Thanksgiving, and school was out, so Coach Taylor called for a special afternoon practice before the holiday. The boys were gearing up for the state Quarter Finals next Friday, this Friday due to the holiday they had a bye.

All the boys gave 110% on the field that afternoon, not letting the holiday or the excitement of state get in the way of practicing. They were all dripping with sweat, despite the cool November afternoon. Coach Taylor was impressed by the effort the boys were giving and let them leave a little early.

"Ok, ya'll have done great today. I'm going to let you go after you run this play again," Coach announced. The players got into the positions for this particular play, JD called the play, they snapped the ball to JD who then faked a pass to Riggins and threw it down the field to Saracen.

"Great job, now ya'll take a knee," Coach complimented. The boys all did as they were told, removed their helmets and took a knee in front of Coach Taylor. "I want you all to go have a good Thanksgiving with your families, enjoy some down time, but I want you all back here at the same time on Friday. The state quarter finals are next Friday, and you all need to be on your A-game. Clear eyes, full hearts..."

"CAN'T LOOSE!" The players chanted in response.

After the players took off all their gear, they headed to the parking lot to their respective vehicles.

"Hey Tim, wait up a second," Coach Taylor hollered. Tim turned around and met with his coach, curious of why he needed to talk to him.

"Tami wanted me to let you know that you and Billy are welcome to come to Thanksgiving dinner at our house. I hope you'll come by," Coach Taylor invited. Ever since Tim had lived with them, he was like the son Tami and Eric never had and now that he and Julie were dating the kid was even more like family to them.

"Yeah of course coach, I'll be there," Tim responded accepting the invite.
