Chapter 18

As the group started to walk towards the cafe they were joking and laughing. Darjeeling was having a lot of fun spending more time with her friends. She completely forgot why she was upset and was looking forward to her date with Kay on Friday. She was soon brought out of her day dream by Rosehip almost tripping on her own feet. When she caught herself before falling she stopped walking almost laughing.

"Rosehip please be more careful, we don't want to have to take you to the hospital."

"Sorry Miss Darjeeling." Rosehip said with a large grin.

Assam, Orange, and Rukuriri just stood there looking nervous for their energetic, redheaded friend. They continued their walk towards the cafe. Once they arrived at the cafe the sun was setting on the horizon. They entered and ordered their food and sat at a table. They continued to talk about school and tankery. The food arrived and they ate as they conversed. They finished their food and headed to a model shop. They looked around the shop for a little bit and talked.

Darjeeling wanted to get something for Kay to apologize for the way she had been acting towards her. Assam was looking at something that she thought would be a good gift for Rosehip. Rosehip was playing an old arcade game that was in the store. Orange and Rukuriri were looking at the books they had. Assam approached Darjeeling to ask her a question.

"Hey. Do you think Rosehip would like this?" She asked holding a Crusader Mk. III model. "I know she doesn't have one of these."

"I don't know Rosehip as well as you do. If you think she would then get if for her. I just can't think of something to get for Kay."

"Why do you want to get something for her?"

"As an apology. I've been completely ignoring her till today."

"Well, Do you know what her favorite tank is? If you did, then you could get that."

"I would assume that she likes the Sherman line. I just don't know what she has."

"I guess I'll get her one that she would like and hope that she doesn't have it." Darjeeling said, as she picked up a M4A2 model. After everyone was ready to go Assam paid for the crusader three model and kept it hidden from Rosehip. Darjeeling got the Sherman model for Kay and met her friends outside.

"Thank you guys, this was fun. Tomorrow night do you guys want to watch a movie in my dorm?" Darjeeling asked.

"Sure. Though you don't have to keep trying to make up for this week." Assam said as Rosehip kept trying to steal the bag and see its contents.

"Rosehip please stop." She added with a hint of annoyance.

"Fine, but you have to listen to the music I listen to for once." Rosehip said pouting playfully.

"Fine. What do you listen to anyway?" Assam asked curiously

"A group I found recently. I think they are called Sabitone or something like that. Anyway they are a group that use historical events in their music. They are also a heavy metal group."

"I know I don't have to. It's just that between school, tankery, and personal things, we haven't spent much time as a group and I miss that." Darjeeling said trying to bring the conversation back to their original topic.

"True. I guess it would be nice to hang out again. So I'm down with a movie." Rukuriri said.

Followed by Orange who also wanted to spend more time with her close friends. When everyone was in agreement they made it to the building full of dorms. They all went back to their rooms. Darjeeling entered hers and sat on her couch. She turned on her phone for the first time that night and saw a bunch of missed texts and a call from Kay. She opened her phone and called the girl to reassure that everything was alright. Kay picked up and immediately started to ramble on how she tried to call and message her.

"Kay, slow down. I am alright. I was with my friends. See not only did I blow you off this week I blew them off as well."

"Ok, Ok. I'm sorry. I also thought that you were still mad at me." Kay said trying to catch the breath she used rambling.

"Kay I'm alright and not mad at you. I am looking forward to Friday."

"Me too. What do you have planned?"

"There is a cafe that I want to take you to. Then I thought that we could go for a walk"

"Oh? Interesting. I am certainly excited for this."

"Thank you for understanding. I won't have my phone on tomorrow night. I will text you when I can, so please don't blow my phone up."

"Alright. Goodnight Darjeeling. Also I may run a little late. Naomi wants to talk to Assam. Apparently she isn't doing too well and Naomi wants to see if she can help."

"That's alright. Though I will have to talk to her. Goodnight."

"Night. I can't wait to see your cute face Darjeeling."

"Goodnight Kay" Darjeeling said, blushing. She hung up and changed into her night clothes. She laid in bed with more of a realization that she was about to get into a relationship with the one person she knew was going to eventually get her. She smiled at the fact.
