In the corridors of the castle, Scorpius observed the scene that was unfolding in front of him. Albus was defending him in front of James, who was against his brother's friendship with the Slytherin boy. Scorpius was touched by Albus's reaction:
"I'm allowed to hang out with whoever I want! Scorpius is my best friend!"
The words "best friend" resonated in Scorpius's mind, who realised the magnitude of these words. His heart raced, aware of its relationship with the brown-haired boy. A smile drew itself on his lips. Albus had become his best friend.
