Author's Note: Sorry I'm late on this chapter, I've been focused on other things, particularly school work and other entertainments. *Cough* XBOX *Cough*. Anyways, I also decided on a proper schedule on which to release these. It will be weekly for the moment and should be expected to be released at some point every weekend, whether it be Saturday or Sunday, it could be either. Again I am doing some sort of inspirational quotes, and this one is based on something said in Kung Fu Panda 2 that was directed at Po. I've just changed it so it's more general and can be applied to pretty much anyone. Yeah, I'm a pretty big fan of Kung Fu Panda quotes, but that is just because so many characters in the series are wise. Anyway, enjoy this chapter.

Your story is not determined by how it started. Rather, it is the rest of your story that defines who you are.

Chapter Seven: Arrival on Raada

To the average space traveler looking from orbit, Raada didn't look like much. People wouldn't even be interested in the moon just because of the readout from the navicomputer, and that was exactly why Ahsoka and Master Plo picked the planet. It was small, and out of the way, even by outer rim standards, and only had one resource. Ahsoka and Master Plo would be unremarkable here. She wasn't sure about Master Plo, but Ahsoka was not one to make mistakes twice, and they had made a big one on Thabeska getting involved with the Fardi's, easily the most prominent family on that planet.

Arriving at the only settlement, Master Plo set the Dorin Akul down on what could barely be called a spaceport, more like a strip of flattened dirt, soil, and gravel. They didn't have to worry about the ship being stolen as Ahsoka and Plo had modified it so as to deter any uninvited guests by zapping them if they got the passcode wrong. As they did their final checks of the ship, Ahsoka was drawn to two metal rings which separated the pressure valve from the power console. They did nothing but make it look neat and tidy, but for some reason, Ahsoka decided to pry them off before pocketing them without a second thought. Even Master Plo was confused as to why she had taken the rings now considering that she had owned the Dorin Akul for just over a year now. For now, he put the thought to the back of his mind as they shouldered their bags before walking down the boarding ramp.

On the ground, Raada had what could only be described as a distinctive, though not completely unpleasant odor. The computer on the Dorin Akul also didn't account for the life on the moon, in the form of vegetation, green and growing. Both Ahsoka and Master Plo could sense it with little to no effort and briefly paused to take a deep breath. After a year of space or Thabeskan dust, it was a very welcome change. Maybe when either of them would meditate, they would be able to feel something other than the ever-growing darkness that haunted them, Ahsoka in particular, since the initiation of Order 66.

There were a few people at the 'spaceport', loading up crates onto a large freighter, but they ignored Ahsoka and Plo as they made their way into town. If there was someone to pay for a berth, they didn't find them, so they decided to worry about that later. Some out of the way moon, like Raada, would have an even less legitimate government than Thabeska and even a Hutt world, but Ahsoka and Plo could easily handle themselves against some local toughs who thought the newcomers would be easy pickings. The only thing they needed now was a place to stay and both of them had an idea where to look.

Raada's only settlement was by no means major. By Coruscant standards, the place barely existed, and even the Fardi's would turn their noses up at it. The town had no tall buildings, no rooftop highways, and there was only one market near the rundown administration buildings in the town center. Both Ahsoka and Master Plo decided that the outskirts would be the best place to find an abandoned house and 'borrow', otherwise they would have to look outside of town.

As they walked around, they noticed that the houses were fairly monotonous in architecture, like the housing found on Tatooine, but with enough decorative embellishment that they could see that their owners cared for them. The people that lived here were here to stay. And from the looks of some of the decorations, it looked as though people had come from all over the outer rim, which would make Ahsoka and Plo even more unremarkable than they already were. After walking a few blocks, Ahsoka and Plo came across a neighborhood where the aesthetic was more or less thrown out of the window, as the area was made up of mainly smaller houses that looked to be cobbled together. This would suit Ahsoka and Plo though, and they began looking around for one that was uninhabited. The first one had no roof, the second could have worked if it hadn't been next to the cantina; it was no doubt quiet in the day, but would most likely be noisy come the evening. The third one though was promising; it was larger than the last two, and only looked to be dirty and abandoned. As the pair looked on, the silence was soon broken.

"There's no one in it." Someone behind them said. Turning around, Ahsoka tightened her hands around her now gone lightsaber hilts, while Plo Koon simply turned around, as they looked to where the voice had come from. It was a girl, not much older than Ahsoka was, but she had more lines around her face. Ahsoka and even Master Plo had spent most of their life in the temple or on a ship, but the girl looked like she worked outside the whole day, and her weathered skin showed for it. Her eyes were sharp, but not vicious. She was darker than Rex, but lighter than Windu, and had more hair than both, which wasn't hard really, and had it neatly braided out of the way and secured behind her head. Ahsoka was the one to reply.

"Why is it abandoned?"

"Cietra moved out after getting married. There's nothing wrong with it if you're looking for a place." Came the reply. This time, Master Plo answered.

"Do we need to buy it?"

The pair had some credits, but they had both decided that it was better to save them for as long as possible.

"Cietra didn't, so I don't see why you should either." Said the girl.

"Then I guess it suits us," Ahsoka replied. After her reply, she wasn't sure what came next. She doubted Master Plo knew either, despite being more likely to know considering how much older he was than her. On the contrary, though, neither of them wanted to volunteer a lot of personal information, but they had come up with a decent story for an occasion such as this.

"I'm Kaeden. Kaeden Larte." Said the girl. "Are you here for the harvest? That's why most people come here, but it's almost done. I would be out there myself if I hadn't lost an argument with one of the threshers yesterday."

"No," Ahsoka said. "We're not really farmers. We're just looking for a quiet place where I can set up shop." At her reply, Kaeden shot them a piercing look, and they realized they would have to be more clear or they would stick out in spite of themselves. And with that Ahsoka sighed.

"I repair droids and other mechanicals." She elaborated. She wasn't as good as Anakin was but she was good enough to get the job done. But since she left the order, she had found that people in the galaxy were just good at things, though not remarkably to any large extent, and she was still getting used to that. Both of them were after Master Plo joined her on the Dorin Akul. "And my dad here just wants a place to relax while I work."

"Dad?" Kaeden replied, confused. Plo was the one to answer.

"Adopted Dad. I found her when she was only young sometime after her parents were killed. I took her in and raised her like my own. She's been with me ever since."

Kaeden's face softened slightly in sympathy for Ahsoka's apparent past, before getting back to the point. "A mechanic. We could always use one of those." She said, before continuing. "Is that all your stuff?"

"Yes." Master Plo answered, in the hope that it would dissuade any more questions being asked, and although it was necessary, he wasn't overly fond of it. It worked, however, as Kaeden took a half step back looking a little embarrassed.

"I'll let a few people know you're setting up when they come in from the fields," Kaeden said, and both Ahsoka and Plo noticed the uncomfortably long pause that Ahsoka, in particular, didn't like, before Kaeden continued. "They'll be along with work for you. In a few days, it will be like you've never lived anywhere else."

'I doubt that.' Ahsoka spoke over her's and Plo's mental bond, with Plo giving a mental agreement, before Ahsoka spoke out loud, clearing her throat as she did so. "That will be fine."

"Welcome to Raada," Kaeden spoke, a sardonic tone in her voice and a forced smile on her face, and Ahsoka gave a smile back, while Master Plo looked on, his expression unreadable.

"Thanks," Ahsoka said.

Kaeden gave Ahsoka one last look, which Ahsoka found slightly uncomfortable before she turned around and started walking away, though it looked as though she was favoring her left leg more. The limp wasn't pronounced, but both Ahsoka and Plo could tell the girl was in pain, which told them that healthcare was expensive or unavailable. Ahsoka looked over to Plo before walking into their new home, Plo following behind.

The house wasn't as big as the main houses on Thabeska but was big enough to have two bedrooms and a refresher off of the main area, which was little more than a small kitchenette, plus a table and a couple of chairs. However, the whole house was covered in dirt. They had expected the house to have a sense of mustiness considering the fact that it was abandoned, but they hadn't expected there to be actual dirt, and Ahsoka was worried about what she would find on the beds. Clearly, this Cietra was no housekeeper, Ahsoka thought as she ran a finger across the table finding it to be covered in some sort of engine grease, making it rather sticky.

"The things Jedi training doesn't prepare you for." Ahsoka mused.

"Agreed. Though let's try not to expose our past as Jedi before we have even settled in." Master Plo replied. Ahsoka swiftly replied with a "Sorry Plo," before biting her tongue. Even though they were alone, she shouldn't have said the word. It felt like a betrayal to both of them, to deny where they came from, but it wasn't safe and neither could afford to slip up, even if they said it in their own home.

Ahsoka managed to find a cupboard with some cleaning supplies, and the pair set to work. It was easy, though tedious, and Ahsoka found it strangely satisfying to see the dirt slowly disappear. They did the main room, with help from the cleaner, which, though not a droid, was efficient at the job. They then did Plo's new room, where he was now sat on the bed meditating, to get a feel for the moon they now called home. While he did that Ahsoka set the cleaner to work in her new room. After disinfecting her bed, the same as they had with Master Plo's before she went out to find the best place to stash away their things. She managed to pull off a panel from under the crude shower, which was big enough for her to stash their small supply of credits into. The rest of her stuff, like what Master Plo had done with his bag, was placed underneath her bed. This included the DC-15S, which she had brought in her bag just in case.

She then sat cross-legged on her mattress as she listened to the cleaner make its way around her room. In some way, the cleaner sounded like the training spheres at the temple she often used as a youngling and as a padawan. She closed her eyes and felt her body tense in waiting for the training bolt, though she was pretty sure the cleaner wasn't going to shoot her.

From there, it was pretty easy to fall into her meditation. For a short moment, she hesitated, as she feared what she had seen, or not seen, since the purge, before letting go. She was fond of meditation, and was one of the things she missed most, but also one of the things that wouldn't get herself and Plo caught if they were seen doing so.

The force felt different, and Ahsoka wasn't sure how much of it was herself and Plo. She could also faintly feel the presence of Master Yoda and Obi-Wan in their respective exiles, but also Luke and Leia as well. Apart from that though, she couldn't feel any other light, only darkness. When she left the temple, she thought she had given up her right to it. But after hearing what Master Yoda said to her on Polis Massa that it was not true. It would seem that the force is with her even more so than before, and Ahsoka had to agree. Whether she was trained or not, she would always have the force. She couldn't remove the parts of her that were sensitive to it any more than she could breathe out the wrong side of an airlock. She may not have the authority, but she had the power, seemingly more than Master Yoda himself did. And although she liked meditation, the darkness she saw wasn't particularly likable. It tried reaching out to her, trying to tempt her to join it, but her new light side power instantly deflected it away, forming a protective bubble around her, blocking her signature from anyone trying to detect her. But despite her newfound power, the darkness was so overwhelming that it wrapped around her perceptions as a sort of shroud, dulling her vision. Apart from the familiar signatures of Master Yoda, Obi-Wan, and the twins, she knew there was something else out there that she couldn't make out, and to be honest, she wasn't sure if she wanted to.

The familiar presence of Anakin was gone, like a disrupted conduit that no longer channeled power the way it was meant to. Ahsoka couldn't feel him anymore, or any of the others apart from who was at Polis Massa. Despite Master Yoda, Obi-Wan and Plo surviving, she could barely sense the Jedi as a whole, which she had felt at a young age before she could even articulate what it was she felt. It had saved her life, all those years ago, when a false Jedi came to Shili in an attempt to enslave her, and it was then that it caught the attention of Master Plo, who arrived in time to help her. She missed it like she would have missed a limb.

The cleaner refused to change course twice, knocking against the bed platform. Ahsoka leaned down to face the cleaner in the other direction, watching it for a few moments before retreating back into her meditation, though not as far. She wanted to get a feel for Raada, something more than what her initial response had yielded and now was probably the best time for it.

The moon stretched out around her, and she could feel the distinctive signature of Master Plo to her left, and in front of her was the direction of the town center, so she instead focused behind where she sat. She could feel the crops still needing to be harvested as Kaeden had said, but also the harvested fields that were being readied for next season's planting. There was also stone, as well as rocky hills and caves where nothing could be grown. She could also feel large animals, though whether or not they were for labor or food, she couldn't tell. She had no doubt that Master Plo had already felt this and was feeling a sense of peace in this place. There were also boots, dozens of them, heading towards her.

Ahsoka shook herself out of her meditation, only to find that the cleaner was knocking against the bed again. Turning it off, a new sound reached her ears: talking, laughing, and stamping feet. It would seem that their new neighbors were arriving home from their day in the fields.

Author's Note: Here's the next chapter, I hope you enjoyed it. My weakness is really showing now. I just can't adapt an existing story like the Ahsoka Novel well. I just hope it was to your liking. In case you were wondering, which you probably are, the clothes that Master Plo is wearing is similar to what Cut Lawquane wore in the Clone Wars Season 2 Episode 10, only it has sleeves and is also all brown, though Master Plo has a spare set of Jedi robes and his wrist gauntlets on the Dorin Akul, similar to how Ahsoka has her Togruta sash and Akul Tooth headdress. Now yes, we don't see Ahsoka use either item at all. I have a plan for this however and will be fleshed out in my next story, which will be called Saving the Clones, which is split before and after the Ahsoka novel chapters, which I will start writing after I reach the 'Old Commanders' Episode of Rebels.

On to less important matters now, I have decided to change what Ahsoka is wearing and will some point change what I wrote about it in Chapter 3. If you want to know what Ahsoka is wearing now, it's pretty much the clothes she wears on the front cover of the Ahsoka novel book (Just search it on the internet, you'll see).

I also believe one of you said in a review what the dynamic will be with Kaeden and Rex in terms of having a relationship with Ahsoka. You'll have to wait and see, but I will tell you now, it is definitely Rex, and by this point in the Ploverse storyline, it has already been confirmed, but will be fleshed out in the Saving the Clones side-story.

Also, if you haven't read my 'Homesick' One-shot, I recommend that you do if you like a good amount of Ahsoka happiness and world-building between Ahsoka and Plo. It also links to the Attack of the Clones. If you want to include it as part of the Ploverse, it's 100% up to you whether you count it or not, as it takes place before Chapter 1 of Father and Daughter anyway. One more thing, you will probably see a multitude of English and American spelled words. This is just because I'm a Brit who is using Grammarly to check for mistakes, and it insists that any word spelled in the English way, the right way, in my opinion, is wrong, which it isn't.

Anyways, that is it from me, hope you have a good day.
