Chapter 9: Growth and Change
Authors note: The Spanish used in the early part of this chapter was provided by Bing translate since I don't speak Spanish. If you find problems, then that's why.
Two days after the sports festival Ronnie Anne was sitting on the couch of the Bakugo residence living room with Masaru. Mitsuki was standing by the hallway yelling. "Katsuki! Get your butt over here! I don't care if you won that festival! You haven't spent time any together as a family in weeks with all that training!"
"Stop telling me what do!" Katsuki yelled back as he came in. "What pain in the ass thing you want me to waste my time with now?"
"Just some T.V." Masaru said. "It's a show Ronnie Anne got me interested in that she watched with her family. It's called a Tele Novella."
"I think I heard of those before, a Spanish soap opera?" Mitsuki asked as she sat down.
"What? I don't want to read subtitles about some chick whining about her guy cheating on her!" Bakugo complained.
"Damn it Katsuki! Sit down! You could use some culture."
Ronnie Anne laughed. "It's okay Mitsuki, when I first saw Adios Ana, Adios, I didn't think I would like it either. But it has more action than you would expect, and this season has been a great one for newcomers to the show."
Bakugo grumbled as he sat down next to Ronnie Anne. "Just tell me what's going on."
"Right so for several seasons our heroine Ana Ronalda has been struggling stop the bandits that have been terrorizing her village." Ronnie Anne explained pointing to the character who punched a bandit in the gut.
"A strong female lead, I like it already." Mitsuki said.
"In the previous season it was revealed that the bandits are led by the corrupt Don Maximiliano." Ronnie Anne point to a man who had a large mustache and wore fancy clothes.
"¿Ninguno de ustedes puede detener a una chica? ¿Por qué te pago?" the character said slamming his fist into a table.
"A wimpy bad guy who throws money at his problems." Bakugo said uninterested.
On the screen a bandit's voice was heard as a young man with white haired in a cowboy outfit stepped up next to Ana Ronalda. "¡La habríamos tenido si el señor Abraham no se volvió contra nosotros!"
"Oh, Katsuki you'll like him. This is my favorite character." Masaru said. "His name is Abraham he was a bounty hunter hired to catch Ana Ronalda but they were both trapped in a collapsing mine they had to work together to get out alive and have been slowly falling in love. Abraham only took the job so he could find the man who killed his ten brothers."
"He looks like that kid that came with Wheels and is squatting at Deku's." Katsuki said.
"Does he? I didn't notice." Ronnie Anne said with a blush. She saw a lot of herself in Ana Ronalda and in the show, Ana had been falling in love with someone that the more Ronnie Anne thought about it was a lot like Lincoln. "No! I'm not Ana Ronalda and he's not Abraham! I'm not in love Lincoln! I'm not in love with Lincoln! I am NOT in love with Lincoln!"
Ronnie Anne tried to take her mind off of Lincoln by watching the show which didn't help very much until something happened. Ana was trapped in a burning house calling for Abraham when he saw who started it. "Wait that's the guy! He's the one on the wanted poster Abraham showed Ana!" Masaru said.
"So, he has to choose between saving the girl he loves or getting justice for his brothers!" Mitshuki said.
"Obviously, he should go after the bad guy!" Katsuki said.
But instead, Abraham jumped through a window and pulled Ana Ronalda out who was coughing. But the desperado used a whip that wrapped around the bounty hunter's neck. "Parece que yo también mataré al hermano undécimo."
"Ana." Abraham sputtered as he tossed his gun to her.
"¡Deja en paz a mi amor!" She took aim and shot the bandit in the arm forcing him to drop the whip.
"Go Ana!" Ronnie Anne cheered.
"Hell yeah! That's what you get when mess with her man!" Mitsuki said.
Free, Abraham began punching the man he hunted. "¡Esto es para mis hermanos! ¡Por la justicia! Por Ana." With the bad guy knocked out Abraham tied him up and put him on his horse. "Una vez que sea juzgado, volveré. te amo."
"Yes! He's coming back!" Masaru cheered.
Ana waved goodbye as Abraham rode off as a large "Fin" filled the screen. "¡Adiós mi amor!"
"So, come on Katsuki admit it. You liked it." Ronnie Anne poked her elbow into his side.
"It wasn't burning garbage, but I might have enjoyed it more if your big butt didn't take up so much of the couch!" Katsuki said.
"Cretino!" Ronnie Anne yelled as she ran for her room blushing.
"Katsuki you never say that to a girl!" Mitsuki yelled.
"I was just telling the truth!" Katsuki shouted back.
In her room Ronnie Anne fumed. "Stupid Cretino! My butt is not big! Yes, my underwear has been feeling a little tight, but they must have shrunk." After making sure the door was locked, she stood in front of the mirror, turned to the side, and pulled down her pants. What she saw horrified her. "No! He can't be right! When did it get this big?" Ronnie Anne's rear stuck out behind her more than she remembered, it was rounder too. She knew she wasn't getting fat, all the training she had been doing especially for the sports fest made sure of that, no this was mostly muscle. She then took her shirt off and looked at herself from as many angels in the mirror as she could. Her waist was good, slender even, and he bust was modest but now that she was really thinking about it her bra had been feeling tight too. She couldn't deny what her eyes were telling her. Ronnie was beginning to look… "Sexy." Then a flood of thoughts came in. "But that's not who I am! I'm not like Yaoyorozu or Uraraka! I'm the tomboy not the kind of girl Mineta drools over! Is this why Lincoln kissed me? No, he's not like that! If I look like a big-bottomed bimbo will I start thinking like one? Why is this happening to me?!" Once she calmed down Ronnie Anne snuck a tape measure so she could quietly go shopping for new clothes later, but she dreaded that she would have to ask Mr. Aizawa how she could get a bigger uniform.
The next morning Lincoln and Midoriya were riding the train they used to get to the other side of town for school. "Hey you! Excuse me. You're Midoriya from Class 1-A!" The people nearby gather around the more famous of the two and the man who first said Midoriya's name said, "Great job in the sports festival! I rooted for you."
As everyone was praising Izuku Lincoln who had a bandage on his chin thought about how the day was off to a bad start, it definitely was going to rain, he cut himself shaving that morning… "Wait I've seen you too!" a woman said. "You're one of the two who ended up in a pile in the first game! You could have won!"
"Uh, yeah just some bad luck is all. I'll be way better next year." Lincoln said.
"At least you and your girlfriend were in the same boat to comfort each other." The said with a smile which made Lincoln blush.
"She's just a friend!" Lincoln said in a whisper grateful Midoriya didn't hear that. And that led to the worst problem of all, as much as he was trying to push these feelings away, they were getting stronger. For the last two nights after the festival, he had dreams of Ronnie Anne. Dreams of a very adult nature, after the first night he insisted on doing his own laundry so Inko wouldn't see what happened to his pajamas and seeing what happened to his second set this morning he decided until these dreams stopped, he'd wear his underwear to bed just in case.
The rain had started after they got off the train but at least they had their umbrellas. "I feel like I'm barely awake." Midoriya said as Iida ran up.
"Good morning Midoriya, Loud!" Iida said.
"Woah Iida! You really went all out with the rain gear!"
"Afraid you'll melt?" Lincoln joked.
"Why on earth are you two walking so slowly? We'll be late!" Iida said as he ran by.
"Late? But there's still five minutes until the first bell!" Midoriya asked.
"U.A. students should always arrive ten minutes early don't you think?"
Inside as they were putting their rain gear away Midoriya decided to broach the elephant in the room. "So, Iida um…"
"If it's about my brother then don't be concerned. I'm sorry I made you worry; everything will be fine." Iida said.
Lincoln put his hand on Iida's shoulder. "Still, I'm here if you need to talk, remember I've been there too. It's not easy seeing family…harmed."
"Thank you Loud." Iida then made his way to class leave both his classmates feeling unsure.
"He's trying put on a brave face for our sakes since he's class rep." Lincoln said.
Later in class all the students were talking about how things changed for them since the sports fest. "It's so weird that people recognize us from T.V." Ashido said. "Everyone wanted to talk to me on the way here!"
"Yeah, me too!" Kirishima said.
"People on the street were staring at me! It was kinda embarrassing!" Hagakure shared.
"Sure, but isn't that pretty normal for you?" Ojio asked.
"You wouldn't believe what a bunch of elementary school brats yelled at me!" Sero complained.
"Nice try?" Asui guessed.
As Sero moan Lincoln thought. "At least they didn't make assumptions about your love life." He then looked to Ronnie Anne who was shifting in her seat like she was trying to hide something.
"All it took was one sports festival and suddenly we're like celebrities!" Kaminari said.
"This school really is amazing!" Mineta cheered.
"Morning." Aizawa said which led to every student taking their seat.
"Good morning Mr. Aizawa." The whole class said.
"Ribbit, Mr. Aizawa you don't have bandages anymore! That's good news." Asui added.
"The old lady went a little overboard with her treatment." Mr. Aizawa said as Lincoln and Ronnie Anne noticed the new scar under his right eye. "Anyway, we have a big class today, on hero informatics."
Most of the class dreaded this. "The class that really showed me that being a hero isn't all action-packed battles and signing autographs." Ronnie Anne thought.
"All the number and subsections in hero laws always look like a jumbled mess to me!" Lincoln worried.
"You need codenames, time to pick your hero identities." Mr. Aizawa said bluntly.
"This is going to be totally awesome!" the class cheered but one red eyed glare put a stop to that.
"This is related to the pro hero draft picks I mention the last time we were in class together. Normally students don't have to worry about the draft yet, not till their second or third year actually, but your class is different. In fact, by extending offer to first years like you, pros are investing in your potential. Any offers can be rescinded if their interest in you dies down before graduation."
"Stupid, selfish adults." Mineta mumbled.
"So, what you're saying is we still have to prove ourselves once we get recruited." Hagakure said.
"Correct." Mr. Aizawa answered, "Now here are the totals for those of you who got offers." He pushed a button on a remote and the numbers appeared on the screen/chalkboard. "In past years it's been more spread out but there's a pretty big gap this time."
Two things came as no surprise to the Americans, that they had none and the top two got the most offers. "Gah, that's no fair!" Kaminari said.
"What about the real star, moi?" Aoiyama asked.
"Todoroki got the most, ahead of Bakugo?" Jiro wondered.
"Yeah, it's the opposite of how they placed in the festival." Kirishima said.
"They probably weren't excited to work with the guy who had to be chained up in the end." Sero theorized.
"If I scared a pro, they're just weak!" Bakugo rebutted.
Yaoyorozu turned to Todoroki and said, "That amazing, you must be proud."
"These offers are probably because of my father." Todoroki said slightly annoyed.
"People want us!" Uraraka said shaking Iida in excitement.
"Not all of us." Ronnie Anne said. "Who would want to invest in someone who didn't make it past the first round?"
But there was someone else who didn't have any offers. "Midoriya! You got none! I bet everyone was grossed out by the crazy way you were fighting!"
"Despite these results, you'll all be interning with pros. Got it? Even those of you who didn't get any offers." Mr. Aizawa said.
"Oh, we're all interning?" Midoriya asked.
"Yes, you all got to experience combat with real villains during the attack on the USJ facility, but it'll still be helpful to see pros at work, up close and personal in the field, firsthand."
"I just hope it turns out better than that time Clyde and I interned for Flip." Lincoln thought.
"And for that we need hero names!" Sato said.
"Things are certainly getting a lot more fun!" Uraraka pumped her fist.
Mr. Aisawa continued. "These hero names will likely be temporary, but take them seriously or…"
"You'll have hell to pay later!" Midnight said as she came in. "What you pick today could be your codename for life. Better be careful or you'll be stuck with something utterly indecent."
Ronnie Anne noticed how some of the boys reacted to sexy pro and for a spilt second, she saw her face on Midnight's body. "No! No! That is not who I'm going to be! Right?" She thought as she shook her head trying to get the image out of her mind.
"Yeah, she's got a good point. Midnight is going to have final approval of your names. It's not my forte." Mr. Aizawa got out his sleeping bag for a nap. "The name you give yourself is important. It helps reinforce your image and shows what kind of hero you want to be in the future. A codename tells people exactly what you represent. Take All Might for example."
As dry erase boards and markers were passed down Lincoln thought. "There is only one hero name I want for myself. I just hope Ms. Midnight approves it. I just have to have that name."
After several students had time to think and write down their names Midnight asked. "Now students, who among you are ready to share?"
Aoiyama confidently stood before the class. "Hold your breath. The Shining Hero: my name is I Can Not Stop Twinkling. Mona mi you cannot deny my sparkle."
"Come on!" Most of the class thought.
Midnight had some pointers. "It'll be better this way, take out the I and shorten the can not to can't."
"It's stunning Mademoiselle." Aoiyama agreed.
"She likes it?" Most of the class asked.
"Also, you're not really French, are you? That's just an act." Sato added.
Ashido happily went next "Oakie Doki let me go next! My code name Alien Queen!"
"Hold on! Like that horrible monster with the acidic blood? I don't think so!" Midnight objected.
"Dang it."
Asui raised her hand. "Ribbit. I think I got one, mind if I go next?"
"Come on up!" Midnight said.
"I had this name in mind since grade school. Rainy Season Hero: Froppy."
"That's delightful! It makes you sound approachable. What a great example of a name everyone will love."
The class began cheering Asui's new name.
Kirishima came up. "I got mine too! The Sturdy Hero: my name is Red Riot!"
"Red Riot? Interesting." Midinight said, "You're paying ohmage to the Chivalrous Hero: Crimson Riot yes?"
"That's right. He may be kind of old school but someday I wanna be just like he was, Crimson is my idol!"
"Hmm, if you are bearing the name of someone you admire then you have that much more to live up to."
"I accept the challenge!"
"I think I might have mine." Ronnie Anne said. She went up not seeing that both Lincoln and Mineta noticed her larger curvier rear. "Since my quirk changes color and I ride a skateboard how does Rainbow Rider sound?"
"I'm sorry dear but there is already a pro in this country currently using that name. You can't use it but don't feel too bad. It's a problem becoming more common as the number of heroes increase. I had a classmate who had to change hers for the same reason."
"Shoot I understand. I guess I need to think harder."
"I think the only butts I've seen that's sexier are Midnight and Mount Lady's!" Mineta thought as Ronnie Anne went back to her seat.
Lincoln was thinking something a little different. "No! Bad brain! Very bad brain! She' your friend! Your friend! Not a piece of meat! This is going to make those dreams even worse!"
Kaminari was frustrated. "Man, I still have come up with anything that's cool enough!"
"Hey I got one. How does Jamming-yay sound to you?" Jiro suggested.
"Oh, it's like Hemmingway who wrote A Farewell to Arms right? Too clever, I like it!"
"No, it's because if though you're powerful you always…jam your brain!" Jiro teased.
"Oh, come on Jiro quit messing with me!"
Jiro ignored him and ran up to the front of the class. "The Hearing Hero: I'm Earphone Jack!"
"Now that a good one!" Midnight said.
Shoji was next. "The Tentacle Hero: Tentacole."
"Oh, I like what you're doing with that! A nice Portmantua."
He was followed up by Sero. "The Taping Hero Cellophane!"
"That's on the nose! Good work!"
"Martial Arts Hero: Tailman!" Ojiro said flexing his tail.
"No surprise with that one I guess."
"There finished." Lincoln thought who then came up. "It took me a bit to get this into proper Japanese and I'm not sure if I did it right. The thing is I didn't come up this name." Lincoln then thought back to when he was training to get into U.A. which now seemed like a lifetime ago. It was on one of the few days off he had to rest, and he went to Clyde's house in hopes of play some video games.
"I'm sorry Lincoln but he's sleeping right now, come in and take a look." Howard said showing papers all over the living room table. "Our sweet Clyde stayed up all night trying to think of a hero name that suited your power. He said it was the only thing he could think to help you that your family isn't already doing."
Lincoln looked at the one marked "The one." And read the notes on why. Back in the present Lincoln explained. "This name is a gift from my oldest friend, the only one I feel I should use."
"Oh, that's so sweet." Uraraka thought.
Lincoln turned over the board. "The Magnetic Hero: Polarix. Clyde said it fits my quirk because I change polarity and a name with X in it is just cooler."
"Well, I think it's X-cellent! Your friend has good tastes." Lincoln smiled at what Midnight said.
"Now that is a cool name!" Sero said.
"It's manly name that was given by friend! So awesome!" Kirishima pumped his first.
Midoriya thought. "Lincoln is always talking about his friend Clyde. He must feel about his hero name like I do about the costume my mom made for me."
Sato came up pumped up by Lincoln's presentation. "I'm the Sweets Hero: Sugarman!"
"Perfect!" Midnight swooned.
"Pinky!" Ashido yelled as she tried a again.
"Make those looks work for you girl!"
Kaminari was next. "Stun Gun Hero: I am Chargebolt!" Electric don'tche think?"
"Makes me all tingly!"
"I think I got it now." Ronnie Anne said. "I needed to take some inspiration from my heritage. I'm the Aura Hero: La Sepectra!"
"Sounds exotic, I love it!"
"The Stealth Hero: Invisible Girl!" Hagakure said.
"That really suites you! Now come on! Who's going to step up next?"
Yaoyorozu answered. "I hope that I can live up to this name. The Everything Hero: I'm Creati."
"Creative!"
"Shoto." Todoroki said.
"Just your name, is that it?"
"Uh huh."
"I can't tell. Is he worried about getting something that reminds every one of his dad or does he just not care?" Lincoln wondered.
Tokoyami brought the flow back. "Jet Black Hero: Tsukuyomi!"
"Ah! God of the Night!" Midnight said with glee.
Only the top of Mineta's head could be seen as he said. "I'm the Fresh Picked Hero: Grape Juice!"
"Very catchy."
"Oh, now I get it. The pants of his costume are supposed to make him look like a bowl of grapes. I thought it looked like a diaper." Ronnie Anne thought.
Shy Koda only held up the board saying Petting Hero: Anima. "Yep, all about it!" Midnight said.
"King Explosion Murder." Bakugo said showing the name he wanted.
"I'm going to say that one's a little too violent."
"Huh? What do you mean?!"
"Why don't you be Explosion Boy?" Kirishima asked.
"You shut up weird hair! Why don't we go outside and I show you exactly why murder should be in my name!"
"No, Cretino is the perfect name for you." Ronnie Anne teased.
"You too Wheels!" Bakugo yelled as Uraraka took her turn.
"This is the name I thought of, Uravity!" she said with a blush.
"I just love that!" Midnight said as the class applauded. "To be honest, choosing name is going faster than I thought it would. All we have left is young Bakugo who has to rethink his and Iida. Oh yes! And Midoriya too." Iida began writing something down but erased it and put down something else. "You're using your real name too?"
"I think I know what he really wants but it's too soon, the wound is still fresh." Ronnie Anne whispered. She knew from the news his brother can't do hero work anymore so the name Ingenium is available. "Tenya must not feel ready to take his brothers place yet."
"Well, Midoriya are you ready?"
"Ooh! Yes!" The name he showed surprised everyone.
"Really Midoriya?" Mineta asked.
"You sure about that?" Kaminari also asked.
"Yeah man, remember that could be your name forever!" Kirishima warned.
"Right…" Midoriya began. "…I used to hate it. But then something changed. I guess someone taught me it could have a different meaning and that had a huge impact on how I felt. So, now I really like it. Deku, that has to be my codename."
Lincoln couldn't help be admire his friend right now. "He's willing to stick by a name that caused him pain in the past. If he doesn't feel bad about it and Uraraka calls him that all the time then I don't see why I can't either. Let's show the world what we can do as Deku and Polarix!"
"Lord Explosion Murder!" Bakugo shouted.
"That's basically the same thing." Midnight said.
"Just give it up! Do even know what murder even is? Because if not then I'm worried." Ronnie Anne moaned.
A short time later Mr. Aizawa woke up from his nap. "Now that everyone's decided on their hero names we can go back to talking about your upcoming internships. They'll last for one week, as for who you'll be working with those of you who were on the board will chose among your offers, everyone else will have a different list. You have a lot to think about, there are about forty agencies from across the country. Each agency has a different specialty their heroes focus on, keep that in mind."
"Imagine you were 13, you'd want to choose a place that focuses on rescuing not fighting villains, understand?" Midnight explained.
"Think carefully before you decide." Mr. Aizawa advised.
"Yes sir!" the class said.
"I wanna fight crime and bad guys in a big city" Kirishima said as he looked over his offers.
"I just hope I can intern some place where there's a lot of flooding, maybe a lake." Asui said.
"Turn in your choices before the weekend." Mr. Aizawa said.
"We've only got two days?" Sero gasped.
"Yeah, so you should start now. You're dismissed"
"Uh Mr. Aizawa wait!" Ronnie Anne ran out after him. "I had a question that I couldn't ask in front of the others. Certain parts of me went through um a 'growth spurt' and I was wondering how I can get some better fitting uniforms?"
"Oh, just go to the office and fill in a request form with your new measurements." Her teacher said as he walked away.
"Okay…thanks."
After having lunch most of Class 1-A was still going over their options. "So, guys. Have decided what pro agency you want to go for?" Ashido asked glumly.
"Mt. Lady is my top choice!" Mineta said
"Mineta are you thinking something perverted?" Asui asked.
"Possibly…" Mineta said nervously.
"You made it pretty far in the tournament. It's weird you didn't get any offer." Ojiro said to Ashido.
"I know!" she answered.
Lincoln was going over his own options. "No, this one is all about fighting fires, I need a broader experience. Maybe this one? But the hero who runs it mostly works at night which wouldn't be a downside expect my sleep has been throw off enough lately."
A knock was heard at the door and 13 came in. "Loud, Santiago could you come out here for a moment please?"
"Yes ma'am." They said.
"You may be surprised to hear this but you each got an offer for an internship."
"What?" They both asked.
"But we placed lowest among all the hero course students in the festival!" Ronnie Anne said.
"Thus, the surprise." 13 said. "In their emails both heroes said they attended the festival and were impressed with your performance in the first round and believe if it weren't for that explosion you would have gone farther. Loud you got an offer from the Tool Hero: Armory, her agency is in Kyoto. Santiago yours is from the Piercing Hero: Longinus from Sapporo City in Hokkiado. Now just because you got offers doesn't mean you have to take them, but both are good agencies that I'm sure you can learn a lot from them." 13 handed out the information to put on their forms.
"We'll definitely think about it." Lincoln said.
As they went back into the classroom Ronnie Anne asked, "Um Lincoln I've been wondering, what's with the bandage on your face?"
"Oh, I just cut myself shaving this morning, got caught on a pimple." Lincoln took the bandage off.
Ronnie Anne froze for a second. "Um, sorry I…was just caught off guard with that. I mean you, shaving, and pimples are not three things I associate together. More of this stupid puberty junk."
"Yeah, can't wait for it to be over already."
They both decided to take the offers and turned in the forms. Later when Midoriya and Lincoln returned home for the day Inko looked happy. "Lincoln, your family is on video chat for you!"
"That's great! I have news for them! Izuku will tell you all about it!" Lincoln said as he went into his room to see all his sister and Clyde on his computer.
"How are you doing little brother? Sorry about the sports festival." Lori said.
"But bro you blew our minds! I'm mean you stared down GIANT robots!" Luna cheered.
"Yeah, we're think of changing our names from the Louds the Prouds. Get it?" Luan asked.
"I could tell you gave it 200%, but I guess those other guys gave 300%." Lynn grumbled.
"Thanks guys, I'm okay." Lincoln smiled.
"Lincoln, I have big news!" Clyde said moving up front. "My dads and I starting summer vacation with a five-day long trip to Japan! I'm coming to visit you next week!"
"Oh!" Lincoln looked sad. "Bad timing, next week I'll be out of town in Kyoto on an internship with a real pro agency."
"Oh no problem! Kyoto isn't that far from one of the places my dads were planning to visit anyway. I can't wait to hang with you again!"
"I really want to do that too but Clyde, I'm going there to work. I don't even know what my schedule will be like." Lincoln saw Clyde was looking sad now. "But I'm sure I can ask Armory to let me join you on my lunch break or something."
"Great! I better let my dads know we'll have to change some things around! Email me when you get that schedule Lincoln!" Clyde ran out the door excited.
"Clyde wait! I had news for him too! Guess it would be better to tell him in person."
"What's the news?" Leni asked.
"Well for the internships my whole class had to pick out our hero names and I using one he made from me. From now on when I'm doing hero work, I'm the Magnetic Hero: Polarix."
"That's so cool!" Lana said.
"Oh! That's perfect!" Lola then made up a speech in her head. "One of the people I admire most is my big brother who was a hero to me long before he became Polarix. The judges will eat that up!"
"Lincoln what is Tokoyami's hero name? It's so I can tell my goth friends that we have a hero like us." Lucy asked blushing.
Seeing Clyde crush on Lori for years Lincoln knew what was really going on but since they were thousands of miles apart, he didn't see any harm. "The Jet Black Hero: Tsukuyomi. So, what's been going on with you guys?"
"Well last week we had to engage the sister fight protocol between Lisa and Lily." Lynn said.
Lincoln was surprised to hear his two youngest sisters got into a fight. "What happened?"
"One of my experiments accidently melted one of her art projects while Lily has been using my beakers to clean her paint brushes." Lisa explained.
Lucy picked it up after that. "When things got to an avoiding contact phase I opened the door to your room to put Lily in, but I told you to get out without thinking. That's when Lily started to cry."
"I was making a clay sculpture of you when the fight started." Lily said.
"When I learned what it was, I became too emotionally depressed, street name sad, to be angry anymore." Lisa said.
"The point is we miss you but let's talk about something happier. Lynn has a new boyfriend." Luan tried to change the subject.
"It was just one date!" Lynn said blushing.
"But you're going out with Ray again tomorrow night." Lori teased.
"Ray huh? I don't think I know him." Lincoln said.
"He moved into town after you left." Lynn said. "He's a good guy, writes the sports section for the school paper. But enough about my love life what about you and Ronnie Anne?"
"Guys we've been over this before!" Lincoln tried to change the subject.
"Come one Lincoln we saw what happened during that race. Why are you denying how you feel?" Leni asked.
Lincoln knew there was no getting out of this, they'd keep asking with every call and email. "Okay yes! I'm having some feelings but it's just things are really changing a lot with the two of us and well a lot of this stuff is PG-13 and up if you know what I mean."
"I get it." Lori said looking to eleven-year-old Lucy. "Take everyone upstairs Lucy."
"Right." Lucy said.
Lisa raised an objection. "I already know plenty about post pub…"
Leni stopped her right there. "Lisa this is not something Lincoln can talk comfortably with in front of any his little sisters. Let your big sisters handle this, if things still feel too awkward, we'll get Mom and Dad."
"Understood." Lisa said as the youngest Louds went upstairs.
"So, what's the deal little bro?" Luna asked.
"Remember the USJ attack? Well, we both knew there was a good chance we could die even if our big plan to handle the thugs that were attacking us worked. When the dust or in this case snow settled, we found ourselves kissing each other but this wasn't like the first time. It felt like more and there were tongues. At first, we both chalked it up to near death experience and adrenaline but as time went on I keep looking at her, seeing look more like a…woman, I try not to but it's so hard, she's so beautiful! During the race I accidently touched her…chest, and lately been have these dreams she, she asks may to do things with her while she, she, she takes her clothes off! My friend!" Lincoln double checked in case Inko or Izuku heard that. "Ug, I'm disgusted with myself. She's going to think I'm as big a perv as Mineta."
His sisters were certainly surprised with the sudden confession that their baby brother had erotic dreams but knew it was just him growing up. "Well… that's normal, you're fourteen." She then whispered. "We really need to bring mom and dad in on all this."
"Don't worry they're just dreams, nothing to be ashamed of." Lynn said.
"Yeah bro, you can't help what you dream about." Luna tried to reassure him.
"And if guys didn't look then how would they know how pretty a girl is?" Leni said.
Lori sighed. "Besides don't you think we've have had dreams like that too? I'm engaged! I dream about my wedding night all the time. The real problem is you're scared, scared that these feelings aren't love but lust and you don't want that to ruin your friendship with Ronnie Anne. But if it were just lust then you wouldn't care if you hurt her. You are a good guy in love and trying to hold it back is driving you crazy!"
"But if I tell her…then nothing will be the same between us. What if things go badly? It would make things worse!" Lincoln said.
"Lincoln, you know love is a risk. We can't make you follow your heart but think about this. Being in love with each other could make your friendship even stronger! Bobby told me Ronnie Anne's aura was never pink before, we know its color is based on her feelings. We think it means she is in love with you too!"
"She said these feeling are just our hormones playing tricks on us."
"This has been going on for long before her hormones kicked in. Ronnie Anne must be just as scared and confused as you are. You both care about each other so much but your both so worried about hurting each other you're hurting yourselves."
"I don't know…I, I need time to think. To have a normal night's sleep! The Internships! We'll be apart for a week, more than enough time to clear my head."
"Whatever you need little brother. We still think you should talk Mom and Dad about all this. I'm sure they'll wish they didn't have to do this over the computer but that's how things turned out."
As Lincoln wait for his parents to come on, he thought. "We're both trying to be heroes. Will telling her, having a relationship, will that get in the way? I'm doing this for everyone else, will focusing on her be a problem that could lead others to suffer? Do we have the right to put our feelings over those we are supposed to protect?"
Two nights later Mitsuki heard a knock on her bedroom door. "Mrs. Bakugo can we talk…?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"Sure." Mitsuki said, when Ronnie Anne came in, she brought shopping bags with new clothes in them, even some U.A. uniforms wrapped in plastic.
Ronnie Anne got right to the point. "After Katsuki said my butt was big I looked in the mirror and took some measurements and as much as I hate to say it, he was right. I got all these after school because my clothes aren't going to fit for much longer."
"Damn it Katsuki!" Mitsuki muttered under her breath.
"And not just in the butt either. I'm, I'm growing and it when I look in the mirror, I can think only one thing."
"Ronnie Anne you are not fat."
"I know, I mean that I'm, I'm starting to look sexy! I mean unless I wear something really baggy my butt is a sign that says look here boys!" blushed a deep red thinking of one boy in particular.
"Oh, well isn't that good thing?"
"Not for me! That isn't who I am! And how big is it going to get? I had a nightmare where it got so big it crushed the school and I literally died from embarrassment!"
"I think you're overreacting. So, you got a little more junk in trunk, I say if you got it flaunt it!" Mitsuki slapped her own rear to drive her point.
"No, it's a disaster!" Ronnie said.
"Most girls would be excited about this."
"Urgh! No! You don't get it! I'm not most girls! That's not…I don't want…it just isn't me! This was a mistake! I thought you would understand!" Ronnie Anne ran out crying and slammed the door to her room locking it.
"What was that about?" Masaru asked after seeing Ronnie Anne run by.
"Damn it! Masaru, I think I screwed up!" Mitsuki sat on the bed. "Remember when we were asked to take her in? I mean I love Katsuki no matter how much of a pain in the ass he is but when S.P.E.A.R. gave us that file amd I looked it over I thought that this might be my chance to find out what it would be like to have daughter and we've been getting along so great. It felt like she was part of the family."
"She certainly is more open about how she cares than Katsuki, and despite their fighting I think he cares for her more than he lets on."
"But the first time she comes to me with a real problem what do I do? I say she's overreacting, and she gets upset. I should have listened more, consider her feelings but I think dealing with Katsuki all the time I forgot how to do that. I thought the two of us were so much alike, but I really don't see why a girl her age would be so upset about looking sexy? She says it isn't who she is but what does mean?"
"I don't know either. She's only been with us a few months though, what we need is an expert. We should call her family; her mother would know what she means. Maybe she just needs to her."
"If Ronnie Anne will even listen to us long enough to tell her mom is on the phone but it's worth a try. Wait, she's going to her internship tomorrow! Damn it, with her mom's erratic work schedule and the time zone difference there is no way we can arrange a call before she goes."
"Then it will be worth waiting for."
The next day Class 1-A was gathered at the train station. "Everyone have their costumes, right? Remember you don't have permission to wear them out in public yet, and don't lose them or anything." Mr. Aizawa asked.
"Gothcha!" Ashido said.
"Speak properly! It's yes sir, Ashido." Aizawa scolded.
"Yes sir." Ashido said feeling ashamed.
"Make sure you mind your manners with the other heroes during your internships. Now get to it."
"Yes sir!" the class said, and they began splitting off Lincoln wanted to talk to Iida along with Midoriya and Uraraka, but he heard Ronnie Anne get bumped by a running grade schooler dropping her costume case.
"Dang it!" Ronnie Anne said bending over to pick up her case. While the shorts under her skirt fit better now both Lincoln and Mineta got a another look at how curvy she was becoming.
"Loud, I gotta say you're lucky being so close to such a hottie." Mineta said.
"What?" Lincoln said.
"I know you saw it too. Her rear is a thing of beauty, so big and round, I bet her boobs will be just as…"
"Don't talk about my friend like that Mineta! Just get to your train!" Lincoln said in the harshest whisper he could.
As Mineta walked away Lincoln could hear him mutter un his breath. "I bet he just wants her for himself."
That shook Lincoln. "Wait was I just trying to be a good friend or was that jealousy talking? I can't wait to get some distance from all this, get some perspective, then it will make sense."
Ronnie Anne however unlike the time they peeked at her in the classroom noticed and heard everything. "Mineta I get but Lincoln? Was the rying to look or did he just notice? Not that it would be hard for him not to with this butt." Ronnie Anne moved her costume case behind her to hide her rear. "Was he really checking me out? Does think I'm sexy? It would be kinda nice if he does. What?! No! We are friends! But he does look good and is so nice. Don't I want to look good for him? It's like our bodies are forcing us both to be different people! I don't want to change! I want to be me! I need focus on the task ahead, some time away from Lincoln will do me good."
Lincoln arrived at Kyoto faster than he thought he would. "That bullet trains works by magnetic levitation, I bet I could do something similar if I had a metal floor or something. I bet I might be able to keep up with Iida." He then got to the address he was given. "Well here goes." Lincoln went inside and didn't see anyone. "Hello?"
"In here love." A voice with a British accent from another room said. Lincoln found himself looking at a brown-haired woman in a yellow bodysuit with holes that looked like something should be plugged into them. A helmet was on a long table next to a blue device about the size and shape of a shoebox with two round plugs on the bottom. The woman leaned over it letting Lincoln get a good look at a curvy rear that remined him of Ronnie Anne's.
"Give me a break!" Lincoln thought.
The woman turned around. "You must be the intern from U.A. Sorry I didn't meet out front, this module has been right buggy." She then pushed a button on the side and foam sputtered out of it.
"Yes. I'm Lincoln Loud and you're Armory?"
Armory had a cheeky smile. "Right on one lad. If we're going to be working together then it only be proper that I know your codename. That's who you are when you put on your costume."
"Oh! Magnetic Hero: Polarix reporting for duty ma'am!"
"No need to get all boot camp on me love."
"Sorry. You're from England, aren't you? My dad and sister are huge Anglophiles so they would be talking your ear off."
"Funny, since I'm a huge Japanophile. I come here for a few months of the year, my lab, my sidekicks, my family, there all back in England. Anyway, get your costume on Polarix and we'll get right to work."
Just a few minutes later Lincoln, now Polarix came back in. "So, what are we doing first? Patrol? Police scanner?"
"I'm already doing it. I saw that first move you used in the race Polarix. Are those ball bearings the only support item you have? May I see'em?"
"Yeah, sure. And yes, they're the only ones I have." Polarix said handing the case over.
"Not too chipped and worn but they could use a proper polish. Heroes that use a support item need to take care them. Even if they're not mechanically minded like me, they should know their items well enough to know what to tell the support company when somethings wrong. Even if it's something simple like these you should inspect them regularly and make them look presentable. A hero that has a support item that is clean shows the public that if he puts care into his equipment, he'll put care into his work. Regular maintenance can also be the difference between victory and defeat, it does no good to have vital equipment break down early in a fight if it can be prevented. You'll start by helping me inspect modules like the one I was working on as part of my weekly maintenance and on this writing down which ones need repair or replacement." Armory handed Polarix a clipboard opened her palm and a swirling blue portal opened and modules of several different colors came flying out landing on the table.
*Tool Hero Armory: Her quirk Pocket. She can open portals to her own pocket dimension that can hold small objects. She uses this to store and bring out her Modular Armor Support System or M.A.S.S., a group of support items she invented herself. She's like a swiss army knife! *
Polarix looked over the dozens of small machines. "We have to do all of these?"
"I like to have at least two backups of every piece of gear I use. Now stiff upper lip, we shouldn't be more than three- or four-hours tops!" Polarix picked up a yellow module and pointed it to a target on the wall and pushed a button. It sparked and shocked him. "That's definitely a repair."
Meanwhile Ronnie Anne was looking at where her internship was supposed to be. "Longinus Agency and Law Firm?" When Ronnie Anne went in, she was met with a balding man in a business suit. "Hello, miss I'm Mr. Chiba and I help with law side of the business."
"Right, Ronnie Santiago codename La Spectra. I'm here for the internship."
"Oh yes. Just give me a moment. Longinus is with a client." Mr. Chiba pressed a button on an intercom. "Reiji, the girl from U.A. is here."
"Send her up, I'm almost done here." A voice on the other side said.
"Head up to the second floor, office at the end of the hall."
Ronnie Anne did as she was told, and an old man came out of the office. "Thank you, Longinus! My late wife's insurance will pay for our granddaughter's operation!"
A man with black hair reminiscent of a Roman centurion's helmet, a maroon coat, and a white ascot stood inside and waved one of his silver metal hands. "It was my pleasure sir. Now if you excuse me, I have to attend to this young lady." Longinus said as Ronnie Anne came in. "You're on time very good, you're waiting for me to give you permission to wear you costume, excellent! I just need to learn a few things about your quirk before we get started." He turned on the intercom. "Asahi please attend to any clients that come in and hold my calls unless it's the police or one our employees with a report."
"No problem Reiji." Mr. Chiba said.
"I'll show you to our training room and let you get changed into your costume."
A few minutes later La Spectra was standing in the training room pulling at her pants. "Dang it! With all the new clothes I got for that growth spurt I forgot to have my costumed altered! So tight!"
Longinus looked at La Spectra thoughtfully. "I'm sorry to say there is nothing we can do about that now. You are currently thirteen, the youngest to ever intern in this agency, please show me your power." La Spectra formed a calm blue aura around her. "Good, turn it off."
"Is there…" Before the hero in training could say anything more Longinus stretched his metal index finger toward her making a sharp point. La Spectra pulled a yellow Aura up in time for the attack to graze the surface by her cheek.
*Piercing Hero Longinus: His quirk Liquid Metal. He can stretch and shape his arms however he wants. But his specialty is making his point with spears and tridents. *
"What was that for?!" La Spectra shouted as her aura turned red.
Longinus pulled his finger back into its normal shape. "As I suspected your aura's color is reflective on your emotional state. You could have made it to the second round of the festival, maybe even the final tournament, but you got flustered when that boy landed on you. While it is understandable for one so young, heroes must always control their emotions. Panicking or losing your temper could cost you your life in battle! I'm am going to push you this week in the hopes that you will learn to control your feelings. People forget that the pro in pro hero stands for professional, and professionals have standards. Now follow me."
They went into a room with computers and filing cabinets. "Asahi is a grand lawyer who I can count on to take my place in the courtroom if I'm called away on an emergency, but his filing skills leave a lot to be desired." Longinus pointed to a tall stack of files. "I want you to sort these, the ones in the regular manila folders are our law firm cases so just set them aside for us. The ones in the blue folders are the agencies case files and reports, we fill these out after we succeed in capturing criminals or for taking notes on current investigations. They are not only vital for our pay, but these reports are also used as evidence for trials. Heroes are also often called to provide testimony in trials as well. Check to make sure the file number on the folder and the papers inside match then put it in the proper drawer in order. I will be out for an hour to check on a case my sidekicks are helping the police with, I expect you to be done by then. We will then go on patrol followed by training with my sidekicks. Do you understand young lady?"
"Yes sir." As La Spectra began going over the files she thought. "If he wants to push me that's fine. Because he's right, all this worrying and fretting is throwing me off my game. I have to control my feelings, or they could cost me everything I'm working toward."
That night Lincoln was sleeping in bunk room of the Armory agency as heroes always have to be on call like firefighters. Lots of agencies had rooms like this where the hero and sidekicks took shifts sleeping there in case a call came in. But no call would come tonight. In his dream he was in a pink fog when he heard giggling. "Lincoln, come to me. I want you; I need you." It was Ronnie Anne who from the fog threw her shirt at him.
"Ronnie Anne we can't! I mean we shouldn't!" Lincoln said tripping on what turned out to be her skirt and shorts.
"Come to me Lincoln! Touch me! Kiss me!" the dream Ronnie Anne said tossing her bra and panties. Through the fog Lincoln could make out the shape of her rear shaking at him, almost taunting him.
"Ronnie Anne please! I, I do love you but I'm not ready for this!" It was then that Lincoln noticed he was naked.
"I love you Lincoln! I need you!" the dream Ronnie Anne said as the fog began to lift…
And that was when he woke up. Lincoln checked his underwear beneath his pajamas. "Not again! When will this end?"
Hours later Polarix was on patrol with Armory. "It's been quite today; we should have no problem making that lunch date with your friend." She said.
"Thanks for understanding." Polarix said.
"I was an exchange student once meself. Shiketsu High, that's how I fell in love with this country, I know what's it's like to miss those from home. Besides it wouldn't be the best trip for your mate Clyde if he didn't stop for a bite at this little noodle shop that I know." Then an alarm bell sounded. "So much for quiet, this better not make us late for lunch." They ran to a nearby bank where a crowd was already gathering. "Not good. Polarix you're on crowd control. We cant risk the robbers taking anymore hostages!"
"Yes Ma'am!" Polarix used his bearings, trash cans, even a bicycle to form a barrier. "Stay back people! Pro Hero at work!" However one of the robbers saw him from the window.
Armory went into a side alley with a red module on her right arm and orange one on her left. The orange opened up as a drill began boring through the wall. "Pro Hero! You blokes best surrender!" Three of the four robbers pointed their guns at her but she was faster on the draw, hitting a switch on the red M.A.S.S. firing two bolos that wrapped around two of them while the third with a fire quirk burned free while the fourth jumped out of the window and made a pink gooey cube that he bounced off of. "Shite! Polarix follow him but do not, I repeat do NOT engage!" Armory said as she fought the third robber.
"Roger!" Polarix said already in pursuit gliding over a sidewalk railing. "Stop!"
The criminal looked back and thought. "I already figured out this kid's quirk and I know the best place to lose him!" He made another cube and used it to bounce to the other side of the street making another to land on. He then ran into a park.
"You won't get away!" Polarix jumped and attracted himself to a passing truck but as it went by all that was left of the cube was some pink sludge and a puddle of water. "Where'd it go?"
"Gotcha love!" Armory said catching him has she flew with white M.A.S.S rockets on her legs and a familiar yellow one on her right arm.
"But I thought…"
He wasn't so tough." Armory said with a wink. "Now let's get that bloke!"
Five minutes earlier the McBride family was walking through a park. "This city was a good choice to visit. So much history and beautiful architecture." Harold said.
"Yeah, it's great Dad but we need to hurry if we're going to meet Lincoln for lunch!" Clyde hurried passed his adoptive parents.
Howard sighed. "It's the only part of this trip he cares about. He's such a caring young man."
The villain from the bank then stopped as the tourist family passed a water fountain. "Just what I need! My Jelly will keep you where I want you!" The pink jelly rose beneath the McBrides covering them up completely trapping them. As his pursuers closed in, he said. "If you don't want these tourists to suffocate then toss your gear over here! All attacks just bounce off my Jelly so don't even try to free them!"
"Do as he says." Armory ordered. They tossed their support items at the villain's cubes and held their hands up. The villain them formed another cube around the gear.
"I know Armory is helpless without her gear and this kid? Your power only works on metal and you let me lead you to a place without any around for you to use you fool!"
Polarix saw the fountain and knew what he had to do to save his friend. "You're the fool."
"Huh?"
"We're in a city! There's metal everywhere, even if you can't see it!" Polarix made a pulling motion and a pipe was pulled out of the ground. The spray wasn't strong, but it didn't have to be. "Your cubes aren't indestructible! They dissolve in water!"
The McBrides coughed and gasped for air. And the gear was free too. "Yellow!" Armory shouted.
"Right" Polarix levitated the M.A.S.S and Armory shot out a taser line knocking the villain out.
"And that what it does with proper maintenance."
The McBrides were taken to a nearby hospital. Lincoln waited at Clyde's bedside in his costume minus the helmet. "Li…Lincoln?" Clyde said as he woke up.
"Hey buddy, you gave me a scare." Lincoln said with a smile.
Clyde put his glasses on. "Sorry I put you through the trouble, not the reunion I was planning."
"You couldn't help it."
"That's the point!" Clyde yelled. "You wouldn't need to save your cool new hero friends! I came here because…because you're out growing me. With friends that understand what it's like to have powers like that Midoriya kid you don't need me anymore. I wanted to hang out just one more time."
"Clyde, you're my oldest friend, you know no one can replace you. Heck you gave me the guts to try to make friends out here! You want to know what I thought as I got to know Izuku? 'I wish he could meet Clyde because he would love to talk about heroes with him!' I am who I am now because you were in my life! I have my hero name from you! I'm Polarix because of you!"
"Really?!"
"Of course! And I could use your help. I already talked with my big sisters and my parents about this, but I need to know what you think." Lincoln took a breath. "I fallen in love with Ronnie Anne but I'm afraid that if I tell her she'll won't be my friend anymore or worse if we do have a relationship and things go bad then she'll hate me."
"Lincoln you do remember all the dumb things we did back home, right? Ronnie Anne knows about all that and she's still your friend. I hope you both can be happy together if that's what she wants, but remember, she crushed on you first. You can do it! You are Polarix after all, the next great hero!"
"Thanks Clyde it means a lot, your words and the name. Ms. Midnight said you had great tastes when she heard it."
"Mid…Midnight?" Clyde's eyes sunken and he started acting like a robot. "Overload, overload. System shutting down." He said before fainting.
"Nurse!" Lincoln called and looked back on his friend. "He hasn't done that since he got over his crush on Lori. Good old Clyde, never change." Lincoln chuckled.
That night up in Sapporo City Longinus asked Ronnie to join him and his three sidekicks outside an abandoned factory in her civilian clothes. "Remember when I said we've been working on a case?" Longinus asked wearing a black business suit.
"Yes, that what this is about?" Ronnie Anne asked.
Longinus nodded. "For weeks, my sidekicks have been going undercover tracking down an illegal fight club where the combatants fight using deadly force with their quirks. The location changes each night, but we've learned this factory is where it will be tonight. Now it's our turn." He took out a small device. "Place this under your clothes, you and I are going undercover as father and daughter, the police need to hear that both fights and betting is taking place before they can move. At the same time, we also strike except for you since you are not licensed yet. Once the raid starts an officer will escort you out, do you understand?"
"Everything except, well no one is going to believe I'm your daughter."
"We'll just say you take after your mother. There is something I need to talk to about later but for now let's move."
Inside a steel cage was set up on the factory floor. One of fight promoters called a skinny looking young man. "Hey, you with the Numbing quirk! We got a fighter here that needs you!"
The guy just brushed passed Ronnie Anne. "Fine, but I got into this, so I didn't have to waste my power as a lame doctor like my parents wanted. Just give me a minute to get my hands in the correct position" He said as Ronnie Anne clenched her fist. "So, is Rappa fighting tonight? I think I have something that can let me take him!"
The promoter just laughed. "You! Ha! But no, some Yakuza guy got him to join him months ago. So, tonight we crown a new champ." The promoter looked at Longinus and Ronnie Anne. "She's not here to fight, is she?"
"My daughter and I are just here to watch." Longinus said. "Come on, say something about the betting."
"So, she's that kind of girl. The first fight will begin in just a few minutes." Later a crowd cheered as several men entered the cage including the skinny young man. "Ladies and gentlemen! Tonight, we have a battle royal to determine our new champion! Get ready for a fight like you never seen before! Now let us not waste time, begin."
The men in the ring started fight each other but skinny man held out a needle in one hand had the other open with his index and middle finger together and the same with his ring and pinkie. "I stole this new steroid last night! It really pumps you up but with a lot of pain but with my quirk Numb it doesn't matter!" He touched his hand to his chest and then stuck himself and began to grow muscular, doubling in size. "With this strength and unable to feel pain I'm invincible!"
"Well, that changes things! Anyone want to make a new wager?" The promoter asked.
"That's it! Move!" an officer said over the radio.
"This the police and a team of pros! Surrender now!" was said over a megaphone.
"Time to go." Ronnie Anne said.
The fighters broke out and began fighting the police and sidekicks. Longinus leapt into the air as he unleashed his ultimate move. "Full Trident!" the sleeves of his suit were torn as he made several forks pinning the fighters to the floor. "Don't even try it!"
"No! I'm invincible!" the man with Numb pulled the spike out of his pinned arm out and ran toward the exit that Ronnie Anne was going through. He knocked the officer with her aside while tackling the student and threw a piece of machinery to the doorway collapsing it.
"No! The floor plans showed the only way there now will take at least ten minutes!" One of the sidekicks said.
"Someone cuff these men now! I can't move and she needs me!" Longinus shouted.
"The pain it's back!" The fighter that was hurt earlier moan. Longinus knew what this meant, he just hoped La Spectra could hold out.
In another part of the factory Ronnie Anne stood up sore. "Stop!" she yelled at the thug who was walking away.
"Don't waste my time little girl!" he said.
Ronnie Anne formed her red aura and made to large hands and grabbed him. As he tried to pull away, she made cleats on her feet to keep her in place. "You're not getting away!" Ronnie Anne then thought. "I can't fight him, but I can keep him from escaping!"
"Let go of me you little witch!" Numb said as he began to beat her aura.
Each hit felt like she was going to be knocked over, but Ronnie Anne would not give up. "You can take people's pain away and you use it to win fights? Your power is wasted! You say being a doctor is a waste of time? Do you have any idea what a doctor like my dad would give for a quirk like yours?"
"Who cares? As long as I don't feel pain with my new strength, I'm invincible! Your dad is a loser wasting time on others. Might makes right and now I'm the strongest!"
"Don't give in to his taunts. Keep him here until back up arrives!" Ronnie Anne thought.
Numb gave one last hit knocking Ronnie Anne away. She landed on the stomach as her aura fizzled out. "Well look at that butt! Guess you're not a little girl after all!"
"Now and him of all people?"
"I told you I'm the strongest!"
"That young lady, the hero La Spectra is stronger than you'll ever be fiend!" Longinus said as he ran in.
"Longinus!" Ronnie Anne said.
"Want to stab me some more? I won't feel a thing!" the villain said as he tried to punch Longinus but dodged effortlessly.
"La Spectra I must apologize. This afternoon Asahi talked to me worried that you might have misunderstood what I am trying to teach you." Longinus said as he dodged. "Controlling your feelings must never be the same as cutting them off. If I didn't have my passion for justice, then would never have been a lawyer or a hero. If I didn't feel, then I wouldn't be engaged to a wonderful woman. A hero must let their feelings guide them but never control them."
"Stop dancing around and fight!" the thug yelled.
"My professional standards would never allow me to fight an already defeated man. You think not feeling pain makes you invincible, but it has blinded you to the fact La Spectra has already beaten you! Take a look at your hands!"
The criminal looked. "My fingers! I can't move them! They're broken! That kid's shield was that strong?!"
"Your power is temporary and since you can't position your hands to activate it again, all that pain you're not feeling will come rushing back in I estimate less than two minutes."
"Aurrrrrrrrrrrgh!" the man felt pain course through his whole body but at his hands worst of all before he slipped into unconsciousness.
"The police will be here soon. Can you walk?"
"Yes, I'm just tired from holding my aura up like that." Ronnie Anne said.
"I'm proud of you. I saw what you done, despite your anger toward that man you kept your feelings in check and stopped him without throwing a single punch. A vital first step."
"Thank you." Then Ronnie Anne thought. "Let my feelings guide me huh? I mean I can't deny I love Lincoln but I'm changing. Will I still be someone he wants to love?"
On the third night of the internships Lincoln was woken up not by another dream but Armory. "Polarix! Get in uniform! There's trouble in Hosu City and they're calling heroes in from the surrounding area! Whatever it is its bad!
Polarix and Armory arrived on her motorcycle and sidecar to a scene on chaos. Fires burned and buildings were damaged. "Iida is interning here. He must be helping out." Polarix thought.
"There are plenty of heroes fight the villains causing this, we'll aid in rescue operations!" Armory said.
They saw something with wings crash through a building that caught fire and begun to collapse. "My grandma is there!" a little boy cried.
"I see her! She's on the second floor!" Polarix said pointing to an old woman in a wheelchair on a floor that looked like it was going to fall. He felt his phone vibrate but he couldn't check on it now.
"Help!" a man's voice cried from rubble on the first floor that had a large fire.
Wasting no time Armory used her ultimate move. "Multi Equip!" three portals opened and a green M.A.S.S equipped on her left arm, the familiar blue on her right, and two greys on her back. She sprayed the fire out and said, "I'll brace the floor you get her down! Pile drivers on!" the grey module extended and Polarix levitated the wheelchair down to the ground.
As a claw from the green M.A.S.S pulled the man out the little boy ran up to old woman. "Grandma! You saved her! Thank you, Mr. Hero! You're my new favorite!"
"What is your name young man?" The grandmother asked.
"I, I'm Polarix." He said.
"Greatest feeling in the world, right?" Armory asked.
"It's why I'm doing this, to keep people from losing their loved ones." The young hero then looked at his phone. "Izuku?"
"What?"
"My classmate, he sent his location in this city five minutes ago but he's not interning here! Something's wrong, he doesn't play jokes."
Then let's find him, but I have to say Polarix, your mates have a nasty habit of getting into trouble. Where is he?"
"Echo street." They rode to the location only to find several pros including Endeavor in front of them. "There's Izuku! On the ground next to that guy with the red scarf!" he began to climb out of the sidecar.
"Lincoln don't move!" Armory said readying her bolo M.A.S.S. "That's the Hero Killer Stain!"
Now Polarix was scared, he saw on the news what this villain did including attacking Tenya's brother. Stain turned around as his mask fell of showing his disfigured face and eyes burning with hate. "You false hero!" he said as an overwhelming feeling of fear and dread overcame Polarix, keeping him from moving. "I'll make this right! These streets must run with the blood of hypocrites! Hero! I will reclaim that word! Come on! Just try and stop me you fakes! There is only one man I'll let kill me, he is a true hero. All Might is worthy!" No one could move until the sound of the knife hitting the sidewalk rang out.
Endeavor stared for a moment. "I think he's out cold."
Lincoln couldn't talk to his friends since they had to be treated for their injuries so after giving statements to the police Armory took him back to her agency. "I think I'll let you sleep in tomorrow. Getting up early, saving lives, and what we saw, I think you earned it." she said.
"If I can get to sleep tonight. I know he's under heavy guard but still with just his presence he nearly made me soil my costume!" Lincoln said.
"It's okay, don't spread this around but he nearly made me soil me trousers too. The hate in his eyes…well he won't be killing now. Rest up, you did good tonight, remember that."
The next morning at the Longinus agency having just changed into her costume La Spectra was in a briefing with the sidekicks and Longinus. "I know we had a big win recently but the with the media speculating on the connections between Stain and the League of Villains the public may be feeling insecure and criminals emboldened. That means we must be ever more vigilant and strive ever harder to present an air of professionalism. We shall increase patrols to help set the citizens at ease. We shall weather this storm, dismissed."
"Yes sir! The sidekicks said.
La Spectra looked at her phone. "Something wrong La Spectra?" Longinus asked.
"I got an email this morning, a few of my classmates were in the middle of this Hero Killer business. Most of them were injured." La Spectra said.
"I understand your concern but don't let it undermine the progress you made here. They are being treated and I sure they will be waiting for you when you return to U.A."
"I know, I just need some time to let it sink in." then La Spectra thought. "At least Lincoln wasn't hurt."
Shortly after that the internships ended, and everyone returned home. They didn't have long to rest before they were back in class again. Kirishima and Sero were laughing at the haircut Bakugo got during his internship. "Holy crap! What the heck Bakugo?"
Bakugo gave an embarrassed growl. "Stop laughing! My hairs gotten used to this and I can't get it back the right way! Did you not hear me? I'll kill you both!"
"I'd like to see you try pretty boy!" Sero laughed.
"What'd you call me?!" Bakugo shouted as his hair exploded back into its old spikey shape.
"There it goes!" the pair said as they kept laughing.
"Oh, Mitsuki said that you looked so nice that way." Ronnie Anne teased before returning her attention back to the female classmates she was sitting with.
"Awesome! You got face actual villains? I'm super jealous!" Ashido asked Jiro.
"Well, I didn't fight. All I did was help people evacuate and provide logistical support." Jiro replied.
"But it still sounds like some much fun!"
Asui then said. "I basically spent the whole-time training and cleaning the ship deck. Though there was this one day we caught a bunch of drug smugglers."
"Okay that cool!" the pair said.
"I know what you mean Tsu." Ronnie Anne said. "I spent most of my time sorting files except one night where we broke up this underground fight club."
While Ashido and Jiro gasped Asui asked. "What about you Ochaco? How was your week?"
"I'd say it was very enlightening." Uraraka said as she started practicing punches.
"I think she's found her fighting spirit."
"The Battle Hero must have been something else." Jiro said.
"After one week she's like a totally different person." Kaminari said.
"Different? Don't be fooled Kaminari." Mineta said just before he began biting his fingernail. "All women are demons at heart! They just hide their true personalities behind pretty faces!"
"What did Mt. Lady do to you?" Kaminari then decided to change the subject. "Everyone at my internship loved me, it was actually kinda great! Now if you want to talk about the ones that really changed, it's those four." Kaminari pointed to Midoriya, Iida, Todoroki, and Lincoln.
"Oh yeah the Hero Killer!" Sero said as he and Kirishima were in Bakugo's clutches.
"Glad you guys made it back alive, seriously." Kirishima said.
"I was worried too." Yaoyorozu agreed.
"I only got there at the tail end of things…" Lincoln said.
"You're lucky Endeavor showed up and saved you guys." Sato said.
"So cool! Just what I'd expect from the number two hero!" Hagakure added.
Todoroki thought for a second before speaking. "Yeah, that's right. He saved us."
Looking at the star of their class Lincoln thought. "I not sure what he's feeling. Is he mad because his dad who he hates had to save him or confused that his dad may have showed signs that he might actually care about him? I wish I saw what went down, but he's saying what the news said and I don't think he wants to talk about it anymore."
"Did you guys hear the news about the Hero Killer?" Ojiro asked. "Everyone's been saying that he was somehow connected to the League of Villains. Can you imagine how frightening it would have been if that creep had been there when they attacked the USJ?"
"He's scary yeah, but did you see him in that weird video?" Kaminari asked. "It's all over the internet!"
"I didn't know there was a video of him."
"Yeah, Stain's a pretty evil villain but like super tenacious! He's almost kind cool don'tch think?"
"Kaminari!" Midoriya yelled.
"Think about who you're talking to!" Lincoln scolded. "Stain cool? I just heard him talk and I had nightmares! They don't even stop those Ronnie Anne dreams! Stain just shows up in them and I can't move or save her while she begs for my help!"
"Oh…Dude!" Kaminari covered his mouth.
"No, it's okay, you're fine." Iida said looking at his injured arm. It is true he's quite the tenacious villain. I understand why people would think he was cool, but instead of helping the world his beliefs led him to cold blooded murder. No matter his motives killing cannot be condoned. To keep others from suffering like me well, I promise I will strive to be the perfect hero!"
"Yeah! Let's do it!" Midoriya said.
"It's time for class to begin! Everyone, please take your seats! Let us work much harder to become pros! Crime won't stand a chance! Class 1-A will ensure peace!"
"He's back." Tokoyami muttered.
"This is your fault for talking about weird stuff!" Jiro said to Kaminari.
"Sorry, I going to keep my mouth shut." Kaminari said.
Later in the girl's locker room Uraraka asked. "You're not wearing your costume for training today Ronnie Anne?"
The only part of her costume Ronne Anne had was the belt that held her skateboard, she wore her gym clothes instead. "It… got damaged during the raid on the fight club! Nothing big but I won't get it back until tomorrow!" Ronnie Anne lied. She gave it to Power Loader to let it out, especially in the seat.
On the way to training ground gamma Iida talked to Lincoln. "Loud, how did you do it?"
"Do what?" the red and blue hero in training asked.
"Midoriya told me about what happened when you were confronted by the villain that hurt you sister. We were both in similar situations, but you kept your focus protecting someone else instead of letting your anger take hold. How?"
"There were some big differences between those situations, first I had no training whatsoever then and I knew I couldn't a fight against two villains. You only had one opponent and your training to fall back on. Second, the person in trouble you found was a stranger to you, it's no excuse but compared to you my choice easier because the person I had to protect was my little sister. But mostly I was scared, you knew Stain killed before, but you didn't let it stop you."
"That wasn't brave, it was reckless."
"There's a thin line between them it seems."
When they arrived, All Might was there to greet them. "I am Here! Hope you are ready to return to our lessons. Today it's hero basic training, feels like I haven't seen you in a while! Welcome Back! Now then listen carefully for what's in store. We're going to be conducting a little race! Take everything you learned from your internships and apply it to your rescue training."
"If it's rescue training, shouldn't we be at the USJ instead?" Iida asked.
All Might had the answer. "Ah! That facility specializes in disasters, as I said earlier this is a race. So, prepare, you're about to step into field gamma! Inside is an area of factories that form an intricate labyrinth! So, good luck finding your way around! You'll be competing in four groups of five and one one on one race. Each person starts on a different location on the outskirts of the model city. I'll send a distress signal and you do what you must to rescue me. Whoever finds me first wins! But try to keep the property damage to a bare minimum please."
"Why are you pointing at me?" Bakugo growled.
"Alright first group, get to your places!"
The rest of the class gathered on a platform with a large screen. "Iida hasn't fully recovered, right? He should sit this out!" Kaminari said.
"Yeah." Kirishima agreed but then noted. "Man, everyone in this group has really mobility."
"Ah, I say Midoriya is at a heavy disadvantage against those four." Yaoyorozu speculated.
"That's what I think. Moving around quickly isn't one of his strong suits that's for sure. And whenever he uses his powers, he gets badly injured." Jiro said.
"Who's your pick? I'm betting on Sero!" Kirishima asked Kaminari.
"Oh yeah? I got odds on Ojiro." Was his reply.
"I choose Ashido, because she's got a super athletic bod!" Mineta said.
"I know Deku will be last." Bakugo said.
"Even if he's still recovering, I think Iida's got this one." Uraraka stated.
Ronnie Anne nodded. "Yeah, his injuries are mostly in his arms, so he still has his best weapon."
"Is everyone ready? Begin!" All Might said as gave the signal. The students that were racing were tracked by cameras placed all over the area and marked who was in what place.
"Look at him go!" Kirishima said looking at Sero swinging around with his tape. "In a maze like this it makes sense to be above everything else!"
"So that means Sero's at an advantage because he can take to the sky." Shoji said.
But everyone was surprised as Midoriya leaped passed Sero with a speed they never saw him have before. "Woah! Midoriya?" Most of the class said.
"Since when can he do that?" Kaminari asked.
"He's finally gotten control of his power!" Lincoln cheered. "I think he's going to win this!"
Uraraka noticed something. "Crazy! Those jumps, he looks just like…"
"Those are my moves!" Bakugo thought.
"That's not good." Ronnie Anne said seeing how angry Bakugo was getting.
But Midoriya made one mistake and it cost him the race. The second group would consist of Asui, Uraraka, Lincoln, Ronnie Anne, and Bakugo.
"Deku I'm going to give it my best out there. I want to show you how much better I got!" Lincoln said but Bakugo got up in his face.
"I'm not going to let a friend of that damn nerd beat me! Got it Gramps?!" Bakugo the stormed off to his starting position.
"Gramps?" Sero asked.
"My white hair he's not the first to compare me to an old man." Lincoln said.
"So, who do you think is going to win this one?" Kaminari asked. "Bakugo's crazy good at moving through the air."
"True, but all the metal in these factories means Loud can latch onto just about anything here." Tokoyami noted.
"So many hot girls in this race. I don't know who to root for!" Mineta said.
"Who do you think it will be Midoriya?" Todoroki asked.
Midoriya went into analysis mode. "Both Lincoln and Kacchan's quirks get stronger as they use them. I think it's going to come down to if Lincoln can gain the lead before he reaches his limit or he'll risk an overload."
"Yes, that's is a problem." Yaoyorozu said.
"Ready? Go!" All Might said starting the second race.
Asui leapt and swung around with her tongue while underneath her Ronnie Anne came out of an alley way on her skateboard. "I see, her board let's her move quickly through narrow areas." Iida said as Ronnie Anne pulled herself up with her aura and started grinding and flipping on pipes and rails.
"Wow look at her! Ronnie Anne's got moves!" Ashido cheered.
"I didn't know she was that good." Kirishima said.
Ronnie Anne however was struggling more than the others realized. "My body has changed so much my center of gravity shifted!" Her butt grazed a wall causing her to lose her balance and fall but she recovered by swinging with her aura arm into a ten eighty flip. Still, it meant Asui passed her.
Meanwhile Uraraka had used her quirk to let her jump up high and she was running across roof tops but someone zipped passed her on a nearby stretch of pipe. "Was that Lincoln?"
"Woah look at him go!" Sato said.
"It looks he's skating just over the ground!" Jiro observed.
"Like the bullet train!" Iida said. "Without the friction his acceleration is greatly increased!"
Polarix then used his attraction to leap to another set of pipes making a sharp turn. "I can see All Might!"
"Damn it, no you don't!" Bakugo yelled as he flew by. "Brust Speed Turbo!"
Bakugo gained speed but Lincoln wasn't going to give up. "Maximum Repel! Lincoln made another great jump and was one building away from the finish line. But as he got to the edge he stopped and Bakugo made it their first followed by Asui. Lincoln made a small hop over placing third followed by Ronnie Anne and Uraraka. "Before you say anything Bakugo, you won fair and square. You pushed me to my limit." Lincoln panted.
"You were about to overload again." Bakugo said panting as well. "You'd get stuck and lose anyway."
"Yeah, and in an area with so many large metal objects that was an unacceptable risk. People could have been crushed. I want to thank you, you made me realize in a place like this I have to be extra careful to watch my build up. But I'll beat you next time." Bakugo just gave an annoyed grunt in response.
"You showed excellent judgement young Loud!" All Might said. "I'm awarding you bonus points. Second place is yours!"
"It's a little disappointing but I understand. You earned it Loud. Ribbit." Asui said.
"Like I thought Lincoln's limit was the big factor." Midoriya said. "But I didn't take into account the risk of damage to the area an overload could cause."
"Yeah, we all thought this place gave him a huge advantage. I never thought Loud's quirk as that dangerous until now." Ojiro said.
Later after class the student were back in the locker rooms. "Ah, that was some tough training today huh?" Sato asked.
"It's the first class in a while that had me glistening." Aoyama said as he wiped sweat off of himself.
"Man, I really gotta work on my mobility." Kirishima said as he put his costume up.
"You can also compensate by working on other skills." Tokoyami said.
"Still wish I could use my quirk for speed." Kaminari answered. "I'm jealous of guys like you and Sero."
Lincoln was about to put his jacket on when he heard Mineta say. "Hey Midoriya! You won't believe what I just found! The jackpot!" Lincoln saw that a poster was peeled back from the wall. "Someone Shawshanked a hole in this wall! A previous generation has given us a gift! You know what next door right? This looks into the girls locker room!"
"Don't even think about think! Peeping on them like that would be criminal!" Iida scolded.
"Then you'll then you'll have to throw me in solitary confinement because you can't stop me!" Mineta said as he put his eye next to the hole. "I wanna see Yaoyorozu's curves! Ashido's slender waist! Hagakure's floating underwear! Uraraka's fine body! Santiago's big, beautiful bottom! Asui's unexpectedly soft boobies!"
While Mineta peeked he was poked in the eye by Jiro's earphone jack no one but Koda heard the sound of the lockers groaning against the pull of Lincoln's quirk. "Loud what are you doing?" Koda whispered but it was enough to get the American boy to stop but not abate his anger.
As Mineta nursed his eye Lincoln walked to him. "Don't you ever, EVER talk that way about Ronnie Anne again! You hear me you sex crazed little fungus?! She is mi…she is my best friend, and no one treats her like an object while I'm around, no one!" Lincoln shouted.
As Mineta silently nodded Lincoln stormed out of the locker room. Bakugo then said, "He pushed himself as hard as he could against me and now this. Loud has balls after all."
Few seconds earlier in the girl's locker room Ronnie Anne was buttoning her shirt when saw Jiro listening with her earphone jack near a small hole. She used her quirk to mimic a glass and put up against the wall and heard what Mineta saying.
"The little perv's trying to peek on us!" Jiro said as she put the second jack through the hole.
"Thanks, Kyoka." Hagakure said.
"Despicable!" Yaoyorozu added. "We'll close up this hole immediately!"
Jiro seemed to be thinking about something when Ronnie Anne with tears in her eyes said. "You heard him; you know!"
"Ronnie Anne what did he say that's got you so upset?" Uraraka asked.
"My butt is huge alright! I lied! My costume doesn't fit anymore!" Ronnie Anne said as she finished getting dressed. Then before Yaoyorozu could fill in the hole they heard Lincoln's shouting coming from it. Ronnie Anne ran out and faced Lincoln. "I'm not some helpless princess who needs you to be her knight in shining armor!" she screamed.
"Ronnie Anne…I was just…" Lincoln stuttered.
"I can defend my own honor! And don't think I haven't seen you checking me out either! Your just as bad as he is! You think I'm just some big-bottomed bimbo?"
"No! Not on purpose! I never meant to…"
"I don't want to hear it Lincoln Loud!" Ronnie Anne ran down the hall crying.
"Dang it!" Lincoln said as he walked in the opposite direction.
Midoriya wanted to help his friends but All Might was waiting for him. "Please don't let this turn into another crisis."
"Why did I go off on Mineta like that? I was ready to crush him into a smear on the floor!" Lincoln thought. "Was I just mad that Mineta was being Mineta again? No, I almost said that Ronnie Anne was mine! I was jealous! I am in love with her and Lori was right! The longer I go on without telling her how I feel the more twisted up inside I feel. I can't go on like this! I need to tell her that this isn't just my teen hormones going nuts, if she'll ever speak to me again."
That evening in the Bakugo household, Ronnie Anne stared at herself in the mirror in her underwear. "This is it Ronnie Anne, the new you! That tough tomboy phase is finally over." She imagined her reflection say.
"Shut up!" Ronnie Anne said.
"Forget skateboarding and pranks, from now on it's shopping for cute dresses and make up to look good for our Linky-Poo!"
"That isn't me! And Linky-Poo? Seriously?! He…!"
"He got on that perv in the train station too. You weren't mad at him, you're mad at yourself for changing, for not living up to your self-image. You can't stop this! This is your body now! It's time to grow up Ronnie Anne and stop pretending to be something you're not!"
Ronnie Anne began to cry again. "Who am I? I thought I knew…"
There was a knock at her door. "Ronnie Anne? Can I come in? It's important." Mitsuki asked.
"Jus…Just give me a minute." Ronnie Anne wiped away her tears, got dressed, and opened the door. "Mitsuki, I'm sorry for yelling at you last week."
"Hey, I get it, I'm not miss sensitive. You've been going through a hard time and I didn't understand. But I think I know someone who will." Mitsuki pulled out her smart phone that already had a video call on it.
"Mom!" Ronnie smiled. "I thought you would be sleeping in after a long shift today."
"I changed my schedule so we could talk Mija. It is so good to see you, we all miss you." Maria said.
"I miss you guys too." Ronnie sniffed.
"Mitsuki told me you've been upset, that you don't like that you are starting to look…" Maria hesitated to use the next word to describe her daughter. "…sexy."
"I, I don't look or feel like me anymore Mom! I don't look like the girl that can pull a back-axel flip on her board or who made one of the biggest boys in school cry because she beat him at wrestling! And it all started with this!" Ronnie Anne turned around and pointed to her butt. "Look at this! It's big and round and… nothing's been right since it got like this!"
"So, you got it too." Maria said. "When we talked about what to expect when you would go through puberty, I didn't tell you about it because it wasn't a guarantee it would happen."
"You're saying you knew my butt might get this big?"
"It's a trait in the women of our family. You just didn't notice because it's not the kind of thing most girls would look for in family members. Your Abuela has it, Mama Lupe has it, I have it, and so does your cousin Carlota. Lots of men were drawn to the women in our family because it, including your father. Your grandfather calls it the 'Casagrande Caboose.'"
"Well, when this caboose pulled into the station it certainly caught the eye of the class pervert! Great! I'm destined to be eye candy!"
"No sweetheart. You always decided for yourself who you were and what you liked. What you wore and what you did. This is something you can't change but you can decide how you look at it."
Mitsuki then said. "When I was younger and began developing, I was really happy because finally guys would stop seeing me as 'one of boys.' I thought since you and I are both strong and confident women you would feel the same, but you didn't. I should have listened to your feelings more."
"It's just, so different from everything I like about me. I never thought I could be sexy." Ronnie Anne said.
"You are still you Ronnie Anne but soon you'll be fourteen, in a year it will be time for your Quinceanera. You'll be considered a woman in the eyes of our community, and with what I see a very beautiful woman. The question is are you okay that?" Maria asked.
"I mean I don't hate how I look… I'm getting used to it. I might even grow to like it but I'm not sure if I can get used to how boys see me now." Ronnie Anne said.
"You mean a certain boy that you've known for years and landed on you during sports festival. Don't try to deny it young lady we all saw your Aura turn pink."
Ronnie Anne blushed. "Mom! I, we, I don't want us to end up like you and Dad! You don't hate each other but things are always awkward between you two."
"Anymore awkward then you and Lincoln are now? You were trying not to kiss I could tell. Ronalda we couldn't make our marriage work without giving up jobs that are our calling or uprooting you kids. That was our choice, but it doesn't mean that you and Lincoln can't have a relationship. What does your heart say?"
Ronnie Anne then remembered what Longinus said. "A hero must let their feelings guide them but never control them!"
"I think I get it now." Ronnie Anne said. "I thought I was keeping my feelings for Lincoln from controlling me, but I was letting my fear of losing our friendship control me instead! I know who am and what I want! I want to tell Lincoln I love him!"
"That's wonderful Ronnie Anne!" Maria smiled. "I better hang up, I'll need to rest before my next shift, I love you Mija. I am so proud of you."
"I love you Mom." After the call ended Ronnie looked at Mitsuki. "Again, I'm sorry for blowing up on you like that."
"Psssh. That was tame compared to Katsuki. I'm here for you Ronnie Anne but I also know sometimes a girl just needs to talk to her mom. And don't worry, I won't say anything to Katsuki before you tell Lincoln, not that he'd care. You're probably the closest thing I'll ever have to a daughter, so I want you and Lincoln to be happy." Mitsuki began to leave. "Besides if on some far away day you have kids it will probably be the closest thing to grandchildren for me too with Katsuki's rotten attitude chasing girls away. I mean I'm not in a rush to be a grandmother, but it would be nice to know the option is still on the table!" she said as she closed the door.
Ronnie Anne looked in the mirror again turned to get a look at her rear and smiled. "Yeah, I can like it. I'm strong, cool, and sexy. What's there that Lincoln wouldn't like? Except…" Ronnie Anne face palmed. "…he may never speak to me again after the way I yelled at him. I got to fix this." Little did she or Lincoln knew admitting their feeling would be part of their greatest challenge yet.
