Back at the Castle loft
Emily had just gotten off at work, she had arrived at home. Seeing her husband cook dinner, she walks over to him and kisses the back of his neck. Then she goes to put her briefcase up and her purse too. She is inside both her and Rick bedroom. Emily takes her night clothes to the bathroom with her. She takes a quick shower, she comes out seeing her family set the table. She thought this is the life, then after her husband finished dinner. She got everyone drinks for two youngest children getting them a both a cup of milk. Alexis she gets her a glass of ice tea, both her and Rick two whiskeys. Emily and Rick are enjoying their time with the children. Emily had a long day at work. She was thinking about letting two detectives come and work with her. But Emily was going to give, both of them sometime to think about it. Everyone was laughing and talking together like one big happy family. Emily couldn't stop thinking about Captain Montgomery. Why would you protect, only the lead detective. But not everyone on your floor was worth fighting for. That made no sense to her; how could you expect to have your whole team back, when you have only one person back. Emily always made sure to have everyone back. Not have one person back, just to let them get away with everything cause you were scared to hurt their feelings. That was no way to run a team, by no means. Emily got up to do the dishes and she started the dishes. Rick had his arms wrapped tightly around her waist. "You, have a lot on your mind." Emily was just nodding her head, his hands were massaging her shoulders. "Honey, I know who upset you most be. I don't understand it myself either. I know how important team work is to you. I respect you for that, I always will. You very good captain, you stand up against anyone who put your precinct down."
Emily had to agree with him; she turned around and hug him tightly. Her head is on his shoulder, "just hard to understand is all. Why, does one man have to stand up for one person. I been trying for years to show good team work helps out quite a bit. But this captain gives bad meaning to the term of team work and leadership. Doesn't Montgomery understand that, if he kept shadowing her. One of these days she going to make a huge mistake that may cost her career. It's going to look good for him or his precinct. That's what I'm worried about, that if he keeps doing it. It's going to bring shame down on all of us captains." Rick holds her tighter, "my love you have such a big heart. But you shouldn't worry about, what any other precinct does. Your are the most smarts, beautiful and best captain that anyone could ask for. You make me feel like a lucky man everyday. You had almost a lot of people come and apply to want come and work for you. If anyone has anything to worry about. It's that captain at the 12th precinct. He is an idiot, could have a great precinct too. But he lets one detective get away with everything. She in way over her head, one day I believe that she will look back on all of this and regret everything that she has done. You'll see that everything going to be alright. I don't know anything about the detective past, but it's none of my business." He helps her out with the dishes, then he pulls her over to the couch. So that could enjoy their time like a family before bed.
Early the next morning
Emily wake up early, she kiss Rick on his cheek. She got up to get dressed for work and was fixing some coffee. Then she heard the sound of little feet coming down the steps. Emma and Sean were both just standing on the last step together. Both of them are waiting on their mommy and she goes over to the both of them. She wrapped one arm around each of them. She kisses both of their foreheads. They have their arms wrapped tightly around her neck. Then she see Rick watching her and both the children in her arms. He walked over to the three of them wrapped his arms tightly around them. He gave Emily kiss on the lips, then he wrapped his arms tightly around his children carrying them to the dining table. He sits the twins in their boosters seats, he got both of them bowls of cereal. Emily handed him a very hot cup of coffee for him; she made herself a cup of coffee as well. Emily goes to grab her briefcase and purse, Rick kisses her good bye. She gets inside her car, she is driving to work. Rick works from home; it works out better that way. But if Emily needs his help on a case. He could just bring the kids with him or have his mother watched them. Emily had gotten to her precinct on time. She had a lot of meetings early this morning. Then there was a lunching meeting with the police commissioner and the mayor. Emily was very nervous about that one, but she shouldn't worry too much about it. Then after all of her meetings were just about over with. It was almost time to have lunch with commissioner and the mayor of course. After she was heading downstairs, to go to her car. She was very surprised to see that Rick was there too. "Honey, what are you doing here?" Rick has his arm wrap tightly around her waist. "I'm here to took my lovely wife to lunch with the commissioner and mayor." Rick guide her to his car, he helped her to get into the car.
