AN/ Thank you so much for reading this story! I'm going to try to update on Wednesdays from now on. I hope you enjoy this chapter. Please leave a review if you like where this is headed.

I wake up blanketed in a warmth that is new and comforting. Peeta's arm lays lightly over my waist. I gently wiggle away and put on his sweatshirt again.

Out in the living room, the sun leaks in through the windows. I start the coffee maker and text Madge and Prim.

To Madge and Prim

Well I made it through the night.

Madge: How was your night with baker boy?

Prim: wait what is going on? Katniss with a man?

Madge! Really. And you too Prim. I like men you know?

Prim: Yeah but since mom and dad, you've been kind of stand-offish.

Peeta and I got caught in the storm last night and had to stay at together townhouses.

Madge: You know together townhouses only lets couples stay there?

Yeah. I know that's why Peeta pretended to be my boyfriend.

Prim: What?! How was that?

I sigh loudly. When the video call comes up.

I answer.

Madge: Give us a tour!

"Shhh Peeta is still sleeping."

Prim: Wait. You slept in the same bed? As a man?

"Yes. I was a blurbing mess and he comforted me."

Madge: Wow. Katnip I knew this day would come eventually.

Prim: Do you like him Kat?

"There's something about him. When I told him about mom and dad, he just understood."

Madge: So what you're saying is that you like him?

"I'd rather not talk about that when he's a few hundred feet away."

Prim: But as soon as you get home, I'm coming over.

"Yeah. Hey look, I'm going to go. I'll let you know when I'm home."

Prim: "Fine. I'll see you soon. Bye."

Madge simple waves.

I end the video chat and look up to find Peeta looking at me with the most smoldering eyes.

I look him up and down. "How long have you been there?"

"Long enough...Kat." He walks into the kitchen and pours two cups of coffee.

I bury my face in my hands. I'm going to kill them when I see them next. Not really but, their teasing is torturous.

"You really shouldn't eavesdrop on people."

Peeta smiles and sits on the couch. He hands me my cup of coffee.

A swirl of creamer dances around the hot liquid. "How do you know my coffee order?"

"I memorized it from the bakery. I was always in the back decorating cakes but could see when people came in." Peeta shrugs.

We sit in silence for what seems like the tenth time since we got here last night.

Peeta clears his throat. "I'm going to go check the roads."

I nod and watch him walk away. I try to still the butterflies in my stomach.

After I finish off my coffee, I get up and go freshen up.

PEETA

After getting the all clear to leave from the office, I head back to the townhouse to help Katniss clean up.

"Hey, Katniss, the roads are clear, so we can head back to your place," I say walking through the front door. I stop in my tracks when I hear her voice. It's the most beautiful sound.

"Peeta….. Peeta?" Katniss says. She is standing in the kitchen starring at me.

"What? Yeah," I clear my throat and sit down on one of the barstools.

She chuckles. "Are the roads cleared?"

"Uh-huh yeah." I prep cookies and phone for my blog. "You should sing more often, you know. It's beautiful."

Katniss blushes beet red. "Oh you heard that? I only sing when I'm alone."

I smile at her. "Well today you got a surprise audience that would love an encore sometime."

She blushes even more and thanks me. "So, when can we leave?" She asks.

"Haha eager to get away from me?"

She tucks a hair behind her ear. "No."

"Well I was going to use the hand mixer here and whip up some frosting for the vlog. Today I'm decorating cookies. If that's okay, I mean. I can easily pack the cookies up and we can go back instead."

"No, that's fine. I like your vlogs." She admits.

"So you buy my paintings and watch my vlogs too, huh." I smirk and look up into her gray eyes.

She looks off in the distance. "I just want to change clothes and check on the shop."

"Sure. I like doing my vlog from the bakery anyway." I place the cookies in a ziplock bag and start wiping down the counters.

20 minutes later, Katniss and I are headed back to town. She insisted on stopping by the shop first, seeing as we pasted a few trees that had fallen down on the way.
