It has been a couple of days since we have left Death mountain and we are getting close to Necula so Zelda can check up on Vah Ruta.
"Wait, Lynk!" Zelda suddenly says, stopping her next to a tree, I get off next to the tree as well. She then goes on her knees and pulls out the sheikah slate. I get on my knees next to her also.
"There's one! Oh and another one!" Zelda points her sheikah camera at these pretty looking flowers next to some grass.
"The flowers in Hyrule aren't just beautiful, they're also quite useful as ingredients for a variety of things." She then pauses her sentence as she looks at a very pretty flower, standing out from the smaller ones.
"This one here is called the silent princess. It's a rare, endangered species." I crawl forward to get a better look at the silent princess, its petals are blue fading into white and it almost reminds me of Zelda in some way.
"Despite our efforts, we can't get them to grow domestically yet. The princess can only thrive here, out in the wild." Zelda moves her hand close to the flower almost touching it before moving her hand away.
"All we can hope is that the species will be strong enough to prosper on its own," Zelda says before looking off into the distance. Her eyes suddenly widen and she jumps forward, giving a good view of her … backside, I look away blushing, why am I feeling this way.
"Is this what I think it is? Look at this!" Zelda then turns around keeping her hands shut and talking insanely fast.
"I don't believe it, but I actually caught one." Zelda then wobbles on her knees getting closer to me, a little bit too close, I feel a slight heat brush my cheeks, by Farore, what is happening to me.
"This delicacy is known to have very, very potent effects under the right circumstances." Zelda keeps her hands closed but then pushes them near my face, then she opens them showing a frog? Why is she so excited about a frog?
"Research from the Castle shows ingesting only one of these can actually augment certain abilities!" The frog that Zelda is holding just does small hops around her palms. Wow, she does know a lot about the wild, it's kind of cute that, wait, what is happening to me why did I just refer to the princess as cute.
"We wouldn't be in a controlled environment out here, but with your level of physical fitness, you'd be a perfect candidate for the study." Wait, is she about to tell me I have to eat this frog raw?
Go on." Zelda pushes the frog towards my mouth, I lean back and almost fall, making a noise.
"Eat it!" Zelda sounds enthusiastic as she pushes it toward my mouth again, I almost fall backward with how much I'm leaning back but thank Nayru! The frog jumps off Zelda's hand.
"Aww, this could have been a perfect opportunity to test out if that study was true." Zelda seems bummed out, I kind of feel bad but at least I don't have to lick, let alone eat a raw frog. We then get up from our knees
"Well, that was a good break, come on Lynk, we have to make it to Zora's Domain so we can check up on Vah Ruta." Zelda then grabs my hand as she basically pulls me back to our horses, I stumble the first few steps before regaining my balance. Zelda really seems to be opening up to me. We made it back to where we left our horses before noticing that they're gone, I hear Zelda gasp.
"Lynk! Where are our horses!" Zelda says, I use my free hand that Zelda is not holding, wait, Zelda is holding my hand! Just realizing that she is holding my hand I freeze up a bit turning red.
"Hey Lynk, are you ok? Your face is a little bit red." While still holding my hand, she uses her free hand to put her palm on my forehead, not helping my situation at all. I take a deep breath, using all the courage I can muster, and say quietly.
"I'm fine, follow me" Zelda seems taken aback by me talking before she holds her not, still not letting go of my hand, I look down and see a pair of hoofprints in the dirt, Zelda notices them due to my pointing.
"Oh, yea! Hoofprints, come on." Zelda then pulls me in the direction of the prints and over a mound we see both our horses grazing. That could have been bad.
