Korinna X Port: Boring Spiel? Nah, It's A Rousing Speech

Korinna: Uh Professor…is that...a

Port: Yes. It's a Nanaue. A rare Grimm that resembles as humanoid shark. This one is close to fading, but a threat nonetheless. Their amphibious nature is their deadliest trait, and if their serrated teeth don't get you, then their massive, clawed, forelimbs will. Now *staring down every student in the room* who wants a go at the beast?

Korinna: I'll do it.

Port: Ah, Miss Stellnoir. Good! I've heard good words from the other professors about your team. Let's see how your skills have fared these past few months in a one-on-one battle. Your Yato against raw muscle and hatred.

Korinna: *Brandishes Yato* This will end quickly!

X

Port: That was indeed quick. Well, officially, all of team KEIM has fought in my class. The only team of first years to ever do so as of yet.

Marth: LET'S GO KORINNA! WOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!

Port: As expected. Not only of Miss Stellnoire, but of all you. Now that you have all grown accustomed to slaying Creatures of Grimm, you are already a step closer to becoming bona fide Huntsmen and Huntresses. However, Huntsmen and Huntresses oppose more than just personifications of negativity and destruction; they must also stand ready to face those who bring about ruin and despair. The upcoming Vytal Festival is more than a celebration of a culture long since shackled by the chains of fear. For all of you, it will be an avenue for all you to test your mettle against others like yourselves and to hone your skills in the heat of battle; a contest of self-evaluation; a season of honor. And all I ask is that your bear the pride of Beacon with resolve upon your shoulders and enjoy this rare moment of glory. *takes a deep breath* FOR BEACON!

Korinna (and everyone else): YEAHHHHHH! FOOOORRR BEEEAAAACOOONNNN!

X

Korinna: Wow Professor, that was inspiring. (Marth actuallystayed awake throughout it all).

Port: *chortles* Just merely letting loose my own excitement for the Festival my dear. I must admit, I do feel envious, boxed up in the commentator's stands with only my good chap Oobleck for company, but it fills me with joy seeing you maverick patriots duking it out in the arena. It puts my heart at ease knowing that Remnant will remain in good hands for generations to come.

Korinna: *grins* The build-up has been contagious. The dance, the missions, the influx of students from Haven, Shade, and Atlas. It's got most of us on edge, yet everyone just can't stop smiling.

Port: And I take it team KEIM has remained as dutiful as ever in their quest for the top. The professors have been observing the lengths you and your friends have taken to prepare for the matches Miss Stellnoir, and I must say, your names are being spoken with praises all around.

Korinna: *blushes* Oh well it's nothing really Professor. We've just been chatting up a bunch of the students from the other Academies. It's nice to form connections with less…violent connotations.

Port: Exactly my dear. Of all your teammates, you are the one who breathes the spirit of Vytal. The amity you show others compliments the aggression you demonstrated when you struck down that Nanaue. I must say, you've got an equilibrium about most Huntsmen and Huntresses can only dream of possessing.

Korinna: Ehehehe. To be honest, I don't really make as much of a mark as the others. Marth and Ike are some of the top fighters in the school-a close second to Pyrrha Nikos. Eir's name gets tossed around a lot as far as brains are concerned. Me? I've been here for quite some time now with nothing to show for it.

Port: Preposterous! After seeing the grace with which you dispatched the Grimm, I'm convinced that you're just as every bit a fighter as those boys are, and you've got a knack for navigating the social ladder I've never quite seen. A crucial skill for a Huntress. Why, when I was your age, I was about as confident around people as a Leviathan in the middle of Vacuo! I could barely muster up a single train of thought in class. In a way, you are the person the young me aimed to be.

Korinna: You really think so?

Port: Miss Stellnoir, stop asking about what others think of you and try to think about becoming the best you. The only reason you've been living in the shadows of Team KEIM is because that's where you think you belong, but I think you deserve as much time in the spotlight as your teammates, and I'm sure they hold lofty, illuminating opinions of you as well.

Korinna: Oh. Thank you Professor.

Port: Your welcome my dear. *glances up at a wall clock* Oh would you look at the time! I've got to set up for my next lecture. Well Miss Stellnoir, exemplary work today! Off you go now! I trust you'll do best in the days to come.

Korinna: I will Professor! See you tomorrow!

Port: And don't forget to submit your homework on amphibious Grimm. It's due tomorrow!

(Sincere) Author's Note:

This is a long one, but I guess I felt sorry that Professor Port is regarded as the most teacher of Beacon, so I decided to break the cycle and credit a hype moment to him. Also, when I designed team KEIM, this is one of the earliest scenes that popped up in my head. Yeah, pretty random, but the chemistry worked.

Anyways. That leaves Marth, but you I think you know the professor's he's going to be crammed with. At this point, there's only one left. Yup. We're gonna have Ozpin return, but he's won't be the only one.
