Currently, Armin & Team Natsu are riding a train all the way to their client in the town known as Rose. According to Erza, Rose was a town established around the time after the defeat of Acnologia & Zeref. The town is fairly small & doesn't have a big populace whatsoever. On the train, Armin sat alongside Lucy & Wendy, while Natsu was currently knocked out on Erza's lap with Gray sitting right next to her. The two exceeds are also sitting with their slayers respectively.
"My first mission...I wonder how this one will go" Armin says in this mind as he remembers the battle of Trost as his true, 1st mission. Armin can still remember the blood & horror that the Titans caused by eating his comrades and townsfolk. If it wasn't for Armin's quick thinking in using Eren to plug up the wall then Trost would have ended up like Shiganshina or even worse.
"No, I can't be thinking like this..." Armin says "Not right now. If someone needs our help then I have to be ready & focused, but still we don't even know who our client is or why they specifically wants us. I suppose only time will tell".
"So Armin-" Erza says as she begins to speak, taking Armin out of his thoughts "Do you have any weapons or powers to use if we have to face someone in battle?"
Armin was going to say yes, but then realized that using the power of the Colossal Titan isn't going to be necessary in this type of job. He also doesn't know if he has the ability to use the crystallized power for anything other than defense. The steam emission isn't going to work either & don't even get him started on his fast healing ability.
"No I don't" Armin sighs as he looks down at his hands "This job doesn't exactly need the use of my transformation & the abilities that come with it are mainly for defense"
"Then how about I give you something to use" Erza then uses requip and summons two katanas along with their sheaths & hands them to Armin. Armin notes that they are very similar to the blades used in the 3D Maneuver Gear.
"Wow, thank you Erza" Armin says as he sheaths the swords and lays them on his lap. "I promise you, I will do everything to use the swords to help others no matter what".
"I'll hold you to that Armin" she replies
"Hey Armin, why don't you tell us more about where your from" Lucy says
"Sure why not". Armin explains more about his about how his hometown is in a constant war with a group of cannibals called Titans. He explains that the Titans after defeating their enemies eat them to put fear into the rest of his hometown. He also talks more about how he joined a military regime called the Survey Corps alongside his two bestfriends Mikasa & Eren. Armin recounts all of the battles he had from the battle of Trost (he left out the details about Eren being a shifter), facing the Female Titan, & the most recent battle, the battle of Shiganshina.
"I must say you have had many battles throughout your short career in the military Armin" Erza exclaims. "Those battles must've been exhausting both mentally & physically"
"Oh you have no idea" Armin says recalling the countless times he either cried or felt fear from the battles he experienced
"We are now arriving at the Rose Train Station"
"Well, it looks like it's time to move. Let's get going" Erza says. The team gets off the train with Natsu being carried off by Erza and make their way into the town known as Rose.
"Thank Zeref, I am finally off that death trap" Natsu exclaims while comically crying tears and kissing the ground.
"Honestly, what a disgusting sight" Carla says in a scolding tone while glaring at Natsu. After Natsu finishes worshipping the ground, the team make their way to the townhall to find their client, who so happens to be the mayor of Rose.
"Hello there, how may I help you?" the secretary at the front desk asks.
"Hi my name is Erza Scarlet and my team & myself are here to ask for details about the job that was sent for us"
"Oh you're from Fairy Tail?" asks the secretary
"Yes we are" Erza replies
"Please follow me & I will show you towards the Mayor's office" The lady says. The lady takes the team down a narrow hallway before stopping at a door.
"Umm, why did we stop?" Natsu asks in a confused tone.
"I will have to ask you to wait outside the door for a moment before you can see the mayor" the secretary says
"Of course, take all the time that you need" Erza replies. The secretary then nods her head that the group and enters the room.
"So, who do you guys think the mayor is?" Armin asks the others
"I honestly don't have any idea Armin" Lucy says to the other blonde. "It could someone we don't even know or someone we've met in the past"
"Honestly Lucy, do you think anyone from our past would become Mayor of a town" Gray says skeptically
"Well Zeref was the emperor of his own kingdom & he was Natsu's brother" She replies cheekily
"Point Taken" Gray says. Before anyone else can say anything, the secretary comes back out.
"The mayor is ready to see you now" she says. She then leads the team into the room and sits them all down on a very large couch. In front of them is a very large desk with papers and other documents, along with someone sitting in a chair that is turned around.
"The guild known as Fairy Tail is here sir" The secretary says to the mayor.
"Thank you. You may leave us now" The Mayor says as he is still turned around in a chair. Once the secretary leaves, The mayor first sighs before saying anything else. What he does next however shocks the whole entire team.
"It's good to see you again Armin"
"EHHHHHHH" the team says in shock as the mayor knows who Armin is
"How do you know Armin" Erza says as she narrows her eyes at the chair in front of them
"Yeah, have you been spying on us" Gray asks while also narrowing his eyes
"Spying? Oh dear Ymir..No I haven't been spying on any of you. Me & Armin are old friends or well he and my son are"
"Wait...did you say son?" Armin asks in a slight panic "Who exactly are you & how do you know about Eren?"
The chair is then turned around to face the members of Fairy Tail. To most members, the person in front of them is some weird man that supposedly knows Armin, but to him it's someone who was believed to be long gone for a very long time"
"Mr. Yeager?" Armin asks with his widened eyes
"Like I said, it's good to see you again Armin' Grisha says
