The Imperial State Marine; the Imperial State of Terra Navy's answer to peace and security to the Outer-Rim.
Imperial State Marines are mainly stationed on star ships and orbital stations within the Imperial State of Terra held territory in the Galactic South. The armor of the Imperial State Marine is reminiscent of the armor used by the 'Mud-Troopers' deployed by the Galactic Empire on swamp-like planets.
The armor of the Imperial State Marine is much like that of the Imperial State Troopers, it comes in twelve pieces. The difference between these armors however is that the armor worn by the Imperial State Marine can lock together, pressurizing the whole suit for space combat. Despite this the suit still allows the wearer a wide range of maneuverability. The helmet of the Imperial State Marine comes in three pieces.
The first and largest piece is the bucket-like helmet that covers the sides and back of the head. This part is automatically magnetically sealed to the body armor upon being placed on an Imperial State Marine's head. This part of the helmet gives the most protection able to stand up to small side-arms fire at point black range. In fact, this part of the helmet, when in testing, had gone through over two thousand trials before scientists in research and development on Orbital Station Zero-Four-Zero-Two-Jupiter located in the Sol system had succeeded in creating the design. Inside of the helmet was technology reversed engineered from both Mandalorian wrist shields and Gungan personal energy shields.
In short every Imperial State Marine helmet is equipped with a small shield generator.
The second part of the helmet is the goggles or Polarized Eye Shields if you want to get technical. The goggles can be raised and lowered between the helmets forehead and the Imperial State Marines eyes. While not shielded like the rest of the helmet, the Polarized Eye Shields can withstand any amount of projectile, ballistic, or kinetic power that doesn't raise higher than one hundred fifteen newtons of force or anything one point forty six times faster than a bullet. The goggles can last up to somewhere between ten and twenty years before needing to be replaced. The third and final part of the helmet is the oxygen mask.
This part of the helmet can be fully removed from the helmet unlike the Polarized Eye Shield which can only be removed with the help of a machine or droid.
Unlike the other two pieces of the helmet, the oxygen mask has no added material for protection to the body. Instead the oxygen mask has a state of the art oxygen generator and pump that can give any Imperial State Marine a total of three hours worth of air when in a depressurized zone. All and all the helmets of the Imperial State Marine are more expensive than the armor itself.
The career of the Imperial State Marine forces the navy's top soldiers to more often than not fight in very close quarters as hallways within ships are not all that spacious with superstructure supports that line walls and give enemy combatants places to hide from.
As such the Imperial State Marine is given three weapons.
The first is the E-10 Blaster Rifle. The E-10 blaster rifle is a well built blaster that is perfect for those who fight in medium to close proximity combat as well as in space. The blaster has a second trigger that ejects two pointed prongs of metal that discharge a lethal dose of electricity upon contact with another sentient being. The Blaster is also equipped with a built in grappling hook that can be used in zero gravity situations.
The second is the S-195 Blaster pistol. A reliable sidearm that can easily be quickly drawn.
Last but not least is a steel battle knife that is located on the utility belt of the Imperial State Marine.
The life of an Imperial State Marine can be very demanding at times. Those who join will face many hardships and will be pushed to their limits. But it is just as rewarding.
