Another sleepless night, huh?
Callen looks up as Kensi and Deeks walk into the bullpen, slowly, both with noticeably dark circles around their eyes. "Another sleepless night, huh?"
Deeks' lip quirks and he nods. "Oh, yeahhh."
The team leader furrows his brow in confusion. "Wait...why are you so happy?"
"Don't answer that." The ex-Navy SEAL shakes his head. Knowing exactly why the detective's so perky.
Sitting her bag on her desk, Kensi starts unpacking her things. "Athena finally slept through the night."
"Okay. Then why do you both look so tired?" Ignoring his partner's earlier request, Callen asks, curiosity getting the best of him.
"It's been six weeks." Sam answers, knowing from experience what happens 6 weeks after a woman's given birth. That and he saw Deeks' countdown calendar on his phone yesterday.
Then it clicks in the sometimes oblivious leader's head. Smiling, Callen nods in understanding as he shares a look with the shaggy blonde. "Oh, I see."
"I have seen the promised land." Grining from ear to ear, Deeks looks across at his flustered wife with glee.
"Could you maybe not talk about our sex life?"
He licks his lips as his eyes lock with hers. "Why? It's awesome."
The redness in her cheeks deepen. "I agree, but maybe not talk about it at work."
"But it's so so good, I have to tell somebody."
She shakes her head, unable to stop the smile from spreading to her face. "You told me last night, over and over and over again."
He grins as he steps up to her desk, leaning over to give her quick kiss. "Yeah, I did."
As soon as their lips meet, Sam jumps up out of his seat as does Callen. "And we're outta here."
"You know the amount jealously in this place is just ridiculous." They share a smile before he places another kiss to her lips.
Kensi grins as he pulls back and turns towards his desk. "Well not everyone can have sexy partners like we do."
Deeks turns back, his eyes lighting up in appreciation at his wife's quick comeback. "Touché."
