Chapter 7
ACP came out of his trance by Shweta's call from the hall for having dinner. He smiled experiencing the homely feeling after so many years of living in a "house". He stood up and went for washing hands.
Shweta also called Abhijeet for having dinner who too was dipped in thoughts in his own room. Things were quite different today as she never calls Abhijeet for dinner because he was always there helping her in arranging food.
Abhijeet hurriedly coming out of the room grabbed the containers to place it on the table making her smile lovingly…
Abhijeet while keeping bowls on the table: Maa aapko bulana tha na mujhe mein to bhool hi gaya tha ki dinner ka time ho gaya hai…
Shweta smiled: Beta zaroorat nahi lagi ho hi gaya tha kaam saara…
ACP too came there in smile hoping that Abhijeet might talk to him right now
Abhijeet glanced at him once and continued with his work thinking about how things were different a few hours back when he was actually loving his company feeling very much comfortable around him. But now when getting the most precious relation with him he is feeling odd. He knew he was making them sad by not saying anything or sharing his feelings but he couldn't help with this as he himself wasn't getting what he was feeling after knowing the truth. He always had this secret wish to live together with his mom-dad as other happy families and finally, today when it was fulfilled, he is stuck with his own feelings and not able to accept the truth.
Shweta caringly: Beta aur kitni plate saaf karoge…khana shuru karo
He came out of the trance with a slight jerk and realized that he was just rubbing the cloth over utensils, he looked at ACP from the corner of his eyes and found him looking with concern. He nodded a bit embarrassed and started with his food which Shweta had just served on his plate.
All three started eating in silence which was usual for ACP but not for the other two.
Shweta after a moment tried to strike a conversation not at all liking the silence: Pradyuman tum Mumbai kab aaye ?
ACP who was really glad of her starting a conversation answered with smile : Do saal pehele hi aaya Shweta jab yaha transfer hua…
Shweta nodded with smile and asked: Aur bhaiya kaha hai ?

Abhijeet despite controlling chuckled softly which provided so much sooth to both hearts and a loving smile on their faces.
Shweta with a smile: Abhii farewell ki practice kaisi chal rahi hai beta…
Abhijeet nodding slightly : Achchi chal rahi hai mumma parso jaunga mein…
ACP in slight confusion : Par beta farewell to junior class deti haina to aap log...
Abhijeet didn't want to make him feel bad so answered silently: Jii woh humare school me farewell wala batch bhi last presentation karta hai teachers aur baaki logo ke liye aur junior class baadme farewell presentation karta hai toh pehele hum log kar rahe hai…
ACP nodded in a smile and asked: To Abhii ne kisme participate kiya hai…
Abhijeet felt good with this as he knows he used to refer to himself as the third person in childhood so answered in a small smile: Mein compering aur scriptwriting team me hu
ACP smiled lovingly and like this trio completed their dinner with little chit chat
After dinner, Abhijeet was cleaning the table though in reality he had his ears towards his parent's conversation, and unintentionally he was looking at ACP again and again.
Shweta : Pradyuman medicines lo pehele tum…
ACP making a face : Shweta yeh tum kya pehele Chitrole ki baat kar rahi thi ab dawaiyo ke peeche padd gayi ho

ACP suddenly remembering said in teasingly : Kaunsi medicines…mujhe to pata nahi raat ko dinner ke baad kaunsi leni hai to…
He stops in mid as Abhijeet placed suitable medicines in front of him while Shweta smiled in victory and love for his kid…
Shweta teasingly : Yeh lo chal gaya pata kaunsi medicines leni hai…
ACP annoyingly gulped the medicine making faces while a hidden smile came on Abhijeet's face seeing him.
Abhijeet (pov) : Apoorv uncle se baate toh bahot kar rahe the medicines nahi pooch sakte the…bahane bana rahe hai ab aur voh bhi mere saamne huh!
Abhijeet went into his room, while both stayed in the hall
Shweta in smile : Lo aaj to bete ne dawai khila hi di tumhe…
ACP smiled broadly : Ha Shweta bahot achcha lag raha hai aaj sachme...( a bit sad ) bhale hi voh mujhe dad nahi bula raha lekin chinta hai usse.
Shweta in small smile : Abhii tumhe dad bhi bulaega Pradyuman bass kuch time do usse ( ACP nodded slightly ) waise agar aaj tum nahi kehte na mujhe Abhii ko sach batane ke liye to shayad voh ghar aane ke liye bhi nahi manta…
ACP smiled : Shweta usse jab itna bada sach pata chala hai to uske peeche ki vajah bhi batani padegi na…
Shweta : Isliye hi log kehete hai Pradyuman ki maa ke liye kabhi bachcha bada nahi hota…mein to aaj bhi Abhii ko nahi batati kuch yeh soch ke ki voh chota hai…
ACP nodding : Yeh baat to hai lekin yarr ab mein usko comfortable kaise karu apne saath…
Shweta in a soft smile: Abhii bilkul tumhari tarah hai Pradyuman ( ACP smiled lovingly ) Tum dono paas aajao ge bahot jald mujhe maloom hai bass ek kadam aage badhane ki zaroorat hai…
ACP in determination : Ha Shweta mein apne bachche ko vapas leke aaunga apne paas…Abhi hi usse baat karta hu
Shweta nodded in a smile…
After some moments…
ACP standing nervously in front of the closed door of Abhijeet's room…
ACP ( pov ) : Kya yarr ACP itna nervous kyu ho raha hai…apne bete se baat karne jaa raha hai koi interview thode hi dena hai…haan normal reh na ( inhaled a deep breath and made a knock on the door )
He didn't get any reply despite knocking twice so carefully opened the door and saw him sitting at his study table engrossed in a book with headphones in his ears. He smiled and went near him who was really looking out of surroundings…
ACP reaching near him softly removed headphone from one ear making him jerk slightly while looking at the direction with : Maa yarr
But he stopped in mid seeing ACP standing there with a soft smile…He stood up and asked in a bit surprise : Aap yaha…
ACP in smile : Baat karni thi tumse ( Abhijeet got uncomfortable a bit )
Abhijeet just nodded slightly looking a bit confuse too…
ACP sitting on his bed indicated to space beside him: Aao yaha beitho mere paas…
Abhijeet quietly sat beside him though appearing that he would have already escaped from room if he had the option…
ACP kept looking at him for some time unable to decide how to start and was hurt too that his son was being uncomfortable with him…
ACP cleared his throat a bit : Abhii aapko kuch puchna nahi hai mujhse…
Abhijeet looked him in confusion…
ACP in a soft smile : Beta kuch saal pehele jo hua usme kisi ki galti nahi thi …hum dono ko hi nahi maloom tha ki humare beech kab itni badi misunderstanding ho gayi…
Abhijeet in a low tone : Mumma ne bataya mujhe…
ACP kept hand on his head : Aapko lagta hai isme kisi ki galti hai…
Abhijeet shook his head slightly : Nahi isme na hi aapki aur naa hi mumma ki galti hai…
ACP smiled slightly and asked softly: Tumhe unn che mahine se pehele joh hua usme bhi meri galti nahi lagti…
Abhijeet confused : Kya matlab…
ACP in confusion : Shweta ne bataya nahi aapko…
Abhijeet nodded in no : Mumma ne sirf mall me jo hua uske baare me bataya…
ACP sighed : Aapki mumma bhi na…( in soft smile ) aapke saamne meri galti chupa rahi hai…
Abhijeet smiled slightly…
ACP placed hand on his cheek : Beta aapki mumma aapko mere dushmano se hi bacha ne ke liye legayi thi…( sighed ) kyuki shayad mein aapdono ki security ko leke careless ho gaya tha ( Abhijeet looked in his eyes in which regret and guilt was clearly visible )
Abhijeet softly : Aap aisa kyu keh rahe hai…
ACP smiled : Kyuki hua hi aisa tha...batata hu mein
