A/N: YOOOOOOOOOO! Sup everyone! Happy late Christmas and new year to all of you. Hope you spent it cheerfully and with no sicknesses. As for me! I spent it at home with my family. While it wasn`t as fun as it is with my friends I still enjoyed it. How about you guys? You all doing well?

Anyway... I`ve seen your reviews and your messages. And well... I would have started working on this chapter sooner and had it done by the begging of the last week but my boss had me caught up in so much work I barely have any free time now. And the little free time I do get for myself I usually spend it working out or taking care of my New Year plans.

I have a lot of things I want to do this year but thanks to the epidemic still staying strong. It`s starting off really slow. Hopefully, things will get better soon. But yeah I`m back now everyone and I can`t wait to get started on my stories again.

Chapter 9.

Swordsman meets a Fire dragon

(One piece world) On a thousand Sunny:

The legendary ship of straw hat pirates was sealing through the ocean to the path ahead that seemed to not lead anywhere. The dack of the said ship was silent as a soft but cold wind kept pushing Sunny forward. Its pirates were all in their rooms, except for their captain who was sitting at his usual spot on top of sunnies head.

The crew has been in shambles ever since their nakama/first mate was found missing from the spot he was last seen at. They went back to Wano shortly after Luffy found out that his right-hand man was left behind and ordered his crew to turn around and get Zoro back. But ultimately couldn`t find him.

They searched all over the island. Asked all of their nakamas there if they have seen him be taken away by the navy, only to get looks of surprise, worry, and shock at the news that one of the straw hats main fighters has been captured or gone missing.

With no luck on finding out if Zoro was taken to prison or not. The crew decided to pay a visit to ones that did know what happened to him. The navy... Lucky for them there was still a small number of navy soldiers left on the island, so when straw hats managed to track down the said group. They immediately started beating the crap out of them and demanded to be told where they were keeping their green-haired friend.

After a few punches, kicks, and headbutts later. One of the soldiers gave in to their request and told them what happened after they left. So with the information provided to them, they set sail back to the open sea`s, in a search for their crewmate.

Though it had been three days ever since that event happened and the crew has not been so carefree or cheerful like they usually were. Luffy for starters, bearly ate now and was mostly seen sitting where he was right now. Looking out to the open sea with narrowed eyes and a frown on his face.

Nami tried to keep her mind of the matter by doing work on the world map but was ultimately failing as her tears started to build in her eyes whenever she thought back to the missing green-haired idiot. Worried about whether he was alive and healthy or dead and cold somewhere. She really hoped that it wasn`t the second option.

Sanji was mostly seen in the kitchen these days. However, he mostly just cooked up the meals and left to be alone. While he would tell his crewmates he was doing fine whenever they would ask him and that he wasn`t worried about Zoro at all. His body language and the way his shoulders shook were telling a different story.

Chopper cried in his room. The soft sobs and cries of sadness fell from the young raindeers eyes as his worry for his green-haired idol was getting worst with each passing day.

Robin spent most of her time reading books. Well she tried to at least, but each passing day it started to get more and more difficult for her to focus on her books since her nakama and friend was somewhere out there with no one knowing where exactly. Her body would shake and her hands gripped at the book that was in her hands in worry. Her eye becoming watery as she hoped with all her heart that the swordsman was safe.

Franky was barely seen out of his room. Only coming out to eat and give a few passing words to his crewmates before retrieving him to his room. Clearly not wanting everyone to see him look worried.

Brook would stay in his room and play the slow and sad melody. Pratecly expressing the whole atmosphere of the ship. And as for Usopp... He tried to stay his usual funny/lying and spirit-lifting self but with the mood, everyone has been in. He decided to just stay in his room and grief over his missing friend like everyone else was.

"Zoro... Where ever you are. I hope you are safe."

Those where the thought of the captain of the ship as Sunny continued on to sail towards the setting dawn.

With Zoro in Earthland:

He was lost...

He was safe... But lost.

"Damn it... How the hell did I end up back here!?"Those words came from the 9-year old Zoro who was in the middle of the street of Hargeon town. He was currently looking right and left, trying to see which path he should choose to go down to. The reason Zoro was in Hargeon in the first place was because he came here to do a job request that was picked out by Levy who asked if he could help her out with it.

Over these past two years, Zoro has spent in Fairy Tail. He had gotten quite familiar with its members and the town it was hosted in, going a far as remembering where the guild was located and what streets he needed to walk through to get to it. Though if you asked any of his friends, they would say that Erza beat that knowledge into him. The straw hats second in command made a lot of friends and rivels as well as earned quite a reputation for himself across the kingdom over these past two years as well.

After mostly taking quests that involve either hunting down bounties, killing monsters, or exterminating Vulcans. He got his title around Fiore kingdom as Fairy Tails bounty hunter, of course, he was not alone on these missions because god forbid if he ever went somewhere alone in this world. He was most of the time accompanied by Erza and Kagura or on some occasions Mirajane.

Speaking of the three women. Erza has been doing quite well as time passed by. She managed to master her requip magic and her swordplay as well as mastery in other weaponry was starting to match up to his level when he had to meet Luffy for the first time... Still the thought of his captain made the young man narrow his eyes in an emotion that told everyone that he wished he was back at Sunny with he crew. Over the two years, his search for the way back home still came out with nothing as the two years just passed by. Erza also took the role of guild's big sister type where she would tell anyone who was acting unprofessionally to fix their mistakes or break up any fights that seemed to occur while she was in the guild or else she would beat every one of them up. Both verbally and physically.

Zoro did not mind this however and just ignored it like every other thing that did not interest him. But one of the few things that changed about his red-haired friend was... That she become so clingy. Like the first few nights in the guild, Erza and Kagura both had nightmares of their village and its people being burned and killed which made Zoro comfort them both to the best of his abilities. When they settled down a little bit all three of them soon fell asleep together with girls snuggling into Zoro`s chest while he was blushing up a storm.

This went on for quite a while. With them having nightmares and Zoro coming to them to comfort them and all three of them ending up sleeping together. After about four months their nightmares stopped but still, those two now came to him in order so they can all sleep together. Erza said that way they will all keep each other safe.

Zoro more than once wanted to tell them to leave him alone. But a cute puppy face from Kagura plus a hopeful look of Erza made the Santoryu user keep his mouth shut and accept his fate.

Though the was not what bothered him about Erza. What did tho was that she literally did not leave him alone! Like all the times he would go for a walk or try to find a quiet place to be alone with his thoughts, Erza would not be far behind. Always finding ways to either take him somewhere she wants to go or anywhere where they could be alone. Like that time when she took him to this new bakery that opened up in town or she would take him shopping... He still had nightmares from the obscured amount of cloths Erza would buy and then make him carry her begs.

Then there are times when she would sit close to him in the guild or every time she holds his hand whenever they went on the mission. Saying that it was to make sure that he wouldn`t get lost... Like he was right now.

Kagura for her part was also getting better. Being the youngest of the three, she still had a long way to go before reaching either his or Erza`s level but if anything she is strong enough to beat Gray in a fight. She also brought the topic of her brother still being out there to him and Erza when they were alone to which all three of them said that when they get stronger they will go and retrieve her brother from the ones that took him away. She gave them both a big hug after that and smiled in happiness at her two friends.

And as for Mira... Well... Let`s just say she became more... Forward with him as well as picking more fights with Erza... Yeah, let`s leave it at that.

Anyway back to Zoro. He was here with Levy in order to retrieve a book from a band of thieves who wanted to sell it for a large amount of money. It took them little time to locate the group`s hiding spot and even less to finish them and retrieve the book. While they were on their way to bring it back to the owner, Levy started to read the book since they didn`t really have much to talk about. Soon she got so engrossed in the book that she failed to realize Zoro wandering off to the right and away from her.

Which brings us back here.

"Damn woman... She couldn`t even give me a map of this damn place. Thc... The next time she asks me for help I will-"

"WHOA!"

"GAH!" Zoro let out a pained groan as he was comedically sent rolling to the right side along with someone who very harshly slammed into his left side. The two of them rolled for 2 seconds before splitting up across each other. With Zoro face-first on the hard stone sidewalk while the guy opposite of him was in the same position.

Zoro`s hand twitched as the pain from getting bulldozed through calmed down before starting to rise up. He let out another groan as his hand came to rub the pained spot. He narrowed his eyes at the person across from him as they slowly begin to rise back to their feet as well. The person was a boy with spiky pink hair and onyx colored eyes. He wore a red sweater, short pants that were yellow and brown in color, and a pair of red snicker shoes. He also had a white scarf around his neck that seemed to be made of scales of some kind. The kid looked like he was a year younger than him.

"Oi! Watch where your going brat," Zoro said in an annoyed tone

"Hehe... Sorry about that." The boy said as he scratched at the back of his head while giving him a nervous smile. Zoro dusted himself off before choosing to start walking again but was stopped when the pink-haired boy called out to him.

"Hey wait!"

Zoro stopped walking and turned his head towards the other boy. "What?"

"Do you know if a red dragon was around here?" The boy asked with a hopeful look on his face.

At that Zoro paused. He was looking at the kid like he was an idiot. In all of his time in this world, this was the strangest thing anyone has asked him. But then again... He had met a dragon before so this world having them was not all that strange to him. It did have magic after all.

"No kid. I haven`t seen any dragons around here." He answered him. Afterward, the kid got a disappointed and sad look on his face.

"Oh... Well. Sorry to bother you then." The kid said before turning around in order to run off again but was stopped when Zoro put his hand on his shoulder.

"Hold up! Why are you looking for a dragon in the first place?" Zoro asked. He wasn`t really that interested in this random kid`s reason but he had nothing better to do so he figured why not go and see why the kid wants to find a dragon. Plus... Something about this kid seems familiar to him.

"The dragon is my father!" The kid said now with a smile on his face. "I`ve been looking for him for three days now. I was sleeping when he disappeared and only left me this scarf as a reminder that he was there." The kid explained to Zoro who now was even more doubtful of his story.

"Well... I wish you luck in your search I guess." Zoro said as he was about to turn around to start walking again but stopped and turn towards the kid again. "Say. Have you seen a girl your age with blue hair and a book?"

The boy only looked at him like a deer in the headlights before saying. "Umm... What does a book look like?"

At that Zoro once again stared at him like he was the biggest idiot he had ever meet. He was about to just walk away when he heard a voice call out to him.

"Hey, you! You`re the brat that took down our boys!" A male voice called out making both Zoro and the boy look in the direction it came from. There stood 12 men all dressed in black drag like a shirt, brown pants, and bandanas around their faces with swords hanging off their waist. The guy who called out Zoro was also pointing at him with an angry look on his face.

"Ha?" Zoro said with a raised eyebrow.

"DON`T TRY AND ACT LIKE YOU AREN`T! One of our boys managed to get out before you got to him and he informed us of you!" The guy who seemed like the boss of the group shouted out at Zoro who simply looked at him with a bored look.

"Ugh... Who are they?" The kid asked Zoro while pointing at the gang of bandits.

"Just some small fry who want to get sliced up," Zoro answered as his right hand went towards Shusui. However, he stopped when he heard a growl coming from behind him. He looked over at the pink-haired boy and saw him holding his stomach in what appeared to be hunger. Zoro then took a better look at the kid and he saw that he was quite skinny. LIke he hasn`t eaten in days.

"Oi kid!" Zoro called out before tossing him a chocolate bar from his back pocket that Kagura gave him a day before. Natsu looked at it in confusion before looking back at Zoro. Realizing what he wanted Zoro sighed out and muttered an idiot under his breath. "You take off the wrapping and eat the brown stuff inside."

Natsu did as he was told and took a bite. The moment he tasted the chocolate he smiled brightly before proceeding to munch down on the rest of the bar. While this was happening Zoro turned back towards the bandits with the wicked smirk on his face. "Now then... Let`s get this over with. I want to be on my way a soon as possible."

By now a small crowd of onlookers gathered a little bit away in order to watch what will happen. Some had worried expressions on their face for Zoro as others went to go and get Rune knights to come and deal with the bandits. Thinking that 9 years old was no match for them.

If only they knew what Zoro was capable of.

As Zoro started to approach them, his hand moving back to Shusui as he prepared to charge at them.

"FIRE DRAGON`S ROAR!" Hearing that Zoro felt a blast of heat run past him and impact against the group of bandits. Taking four of them out. He blinked in surprise at the sudden blast of fire appearing out of nowhere before turning once again to look at the kid who now had a little bit of fire leftover around his mouth.

"Did he just... Breath fire?" Zoro thought in surprise as the kid walked up to stand beside him.

"HEY YOU JERKS! IF YOU MESS WITH MY FRIEND THEN YOU MESS WITH ME TOO!" He shouted at the shocked group before his hand lighted on fire. "And you do not want to mess with me."

"The other brat is a mage! Boss we can`t fight a mage with only swords!" One of the grunts yelled towards the boss who only glared at the two kids in front of him. "HEY DID YOU NOT HEAR ME!"

"SHUT UP!" The boss shouted before backhanding the yelling guy. "I DON`T CARE IF THE KID CAN SHOOT FIRE OUT OF HIS MOUTH! He is siding with a brat that took out the rest of our gang. I WILL NOT LET SOME SNOT NOSED BRATS MAKE A FOOL OUT OF MY SQUAD! SO CHARGE MAN!" He yelled then begin to charge at the two kids who were waiting for them with calm looks on their faces.

"Friend?" Zoro said while looking at the smaller buy from the corner of his eyes. The kid nodded his head before looking up at him with a smirk on his face.

"Yeah! My dad always told me that if someone shares their food with you. You can trust them to be a good person and a good friend. So now I will help you out." The boy told Zoro making the older boy rise his eyebrow at him.

"That`s a very naive way of thinking. You could get in a lot of trouble with thinking like that." Zoro said as he draws Shushi out of its sheath and let it come to rest on his right shoulder.

"Nah! Igneel was never wrong about anything he ever told me. And when I find him you can ask him yourself. I promise to prove you wrong." He said now giving him a toothy smile. Seeing the kid smile like that made Zoro`s eyes open wide as the image of a certain captain replaced the boy beside him. He looked at the boy in shock for a few seconds before closing his eyes with a small smile on his face.

"Huh... Who knew that someone similar to you existed in this world captain... Tch. Bakas." Zoro thought as his eyes reopened as he lowered Shushi to his side. "Oi kid."

"Huh?" Was his replay.

"What`s your name?" Zoro asked never taking his eyes off the approaching group.

"I am Natsu Dragneel. The fire dragon slayer." The kid said with a smile as he pointed with his thumb towards himself.

Zoro did not question what the hell, fire dragon slayer was. He only took a step forward and said. "Well, Natsu... What do you say we take care of the trash." The wicked grin spread across his face once again.

"Yosh! I`m all fired up!" With those words, the two kids charged at the group.

Not even a minute later...

"This was boring..." Natsu said in a disappointed voice as he kicked the down bandit in the side. The bandit did not respond to the kick for he was knocked out.

"Yeah... Just like the first bunch I took out..." Zoro replied in kind as he sheathed Shusui. The two beat the group up in record-setting time and were now disappointed that they did not get much of a fight out of them. Soon Rune Knights came to take all of the bandits with them, one approached the two and looked like he was about to ask something but Zoro only lifted his short-sleeve to show his guild mark on his arm. The knight nodded in understanding and left with his fellow knights.

"What did you show him?" Natsu asked curiously.

"Huh? Oh... Just my guild mark." Zoro said as he showed his green Fairy Tail guild mark to Natsu.

"What`s a guild?" At that question, Zoro gave him a short explanation of what the guild was and ended it right as the crowd started to cheer for them on their victory. The young woman who was apparently working in a small restaurant offered them free meals as a reward for helping the town out. Both of the boy's stomach growled in hunger at the mention of food.

They proceed to eat at the restaurant, at which Zoro found another similarity between Luffy and Natsu. They were both bottomless pits when it came to eating. After they were finished Zoro asked Natsu if he wanted to come to the guild with him. Since he was looking for his father... He told Natsu that his master might know the way on how to find him. Natsu agreed with a bright and joyful expression as the two went on their way towards Fairy Tail.

They got lost and were found by Makarov when he was returning from his meeting...

A/N: And that is it... Sorry for the anti-climatic ending. Kinda made this on the fly. I really wanted for Natsu to be introduced to the guild like in the canon but I had no idea how to write nor how the make the whole thing interesting. So I made them meet up like this. The next chapter will cover Natsu`s interaction with the guild and then we will go through the time skip. I hope this was okay for my first chapter back.

Sadly the update times will still be short for the work just keeps on piling on me.
