CHAPTER 8: THE TRUTH REVEALED.
(POV: Lady.)
As I then opened my eyes, I found myself in an unfamiliar room. With a bed similar to my own, as a prison cell door stood at the entrance. As I began to wonder how I've gotten here, Thomas's most recent words to me came back.
"I will find you, and make Allen pay for whatever he plans to do with you."
"That's right! Allen kidnapped me in my sleep!" I exclaimed out loud. "He had my actual self be swapped out with a really advanced clay copy. Thus explaining how I thought I was home, but in reality, I was here."
As I then finished saying that, I heard the sarcastic clapping of a person's hands. As I then looked towards where the sound originated from, there, standing at the cell door was none other than Allen. Sneering a very devilish sneer at me.
"Very good." He said to me with his evil grin.
"What do you want?!" I asked indignantly. "Why did you kidnap me?!"
"Because you are the rightful one to me MY empress." He replied. "I am not just going to simply surrender you to that Thomas."
"I'm not even in love with you!" I bellowed with a scowl. "I won't marry you! Never! So you're better off to kill me!"
"Kill you?" He then replied. "Why would I do such a thing? You're too unique and special to be killed."
"Unique?!" I scoffed. "Special?! Are you trying desperately to flatter or flirt me into liking you? For there are other very powerful magicborns out there."
"And none would be comparable to you." Allen then said, as his sneer became broader. "You know what I find so interesting about you and your family?" He then went on. "The fact that your mother's name is Lux-Aurea. A name that if you line up with matching Latin words and their English translations you'll get golden light."
"Well duh!" I replied. "And what does my mother's name have to do with your reasoning for kidnaping me?!"
"For the name golden light is also part of a title of a certain goddess sister." Allen replied. "And with that in consideration, I can not help but wonder, if it's really all coincidence or not."
As I took this in, my shock and disbelief filled my body. I could not believe what Allen was trying to tell me. Though I knew that my mother would try to keep something from me before that did when Strea first tried to kill me, I did not think that it would be THIS.
"N-no." I stammered. "N-no.. i-it c-can't b-be t-true."
"But I do certainly think so." Allen replied. "How else are you to explain your power level as a magicborn? How else are you to explain your resilience to massive wounds, let alone your ability to have scars fade away? There isn't. You're a daughter of a goddess, Lady and thus, only YOU can make my wishes of making a empire for just magicborns into a reality." He said, as he then walked away, cackling.
As I took this reality in, I began to sob, for my whole life, I thought myself as just a normal magicborn. But now, I didn't know what to think, for no matter how I put it, the answer was all just the same. I was the daughter of a goddess, an heir of a divine being. As I continued to cry, another thought struck me, one that may assist me with getting out of where Allen was holding me.
"Mother?" I called out in my thoughts, hoping that she too would be able to communicate with me telepathically.
"Lady..." Said the familiar feminine voice from my vision of a few nights ago. "I'm here my child. What do you need?"
"Allen kidnaped me." I replied, as tears flowed from my eyes. "If you can, please do lead Thomas here to me. I want to be back home."
"I'm already on it, my dear." She replied. "Also, if you're telepathically communicating with me as of now, then you've found out about your lineage, haven't you?"
"Yes." I replied. "And it's the very reason why Allen kidnaped me."
"I see." My mother then sighed. "Lady, forgive me for never telling you. I just wanted you to be safe, to have such a wonderful life. I never intended to be such a liar to you, my daughter. I didn't think that there would be ANYONE who would know up until now."
"Mother.."
"Hush now. Your rightful lover and spouse will be coming soon. Stay strong."
As my conversation with my mother came to an end, I just couldn't help but crack a smile for she was still the same as she always been, kind and loving. My mother's reasons for not telling me about the truth of my lineage are very much understandable, and so, I could not be mad with her for that. As I then let out a sigh, I began to await for my lover's arrival.
