Ulrich362: Riley and the girls had quite the relaxing day.

bopdog111: And in the end Riley had the surprise of Atem getting the right crib for their twins.

Ulrich362: Yup, so what's in store next for the couple?

bopdog111: Well now Riley is going to her fifth month. And things with her are now gonna take a hard turn. Don't be alarmed though it's just the way a pregnancy goes.

Ulrich362: Poor, poor Atem. Enjoy the chapter.

bopdog111: Poor Riley as well.

Atem was helping Riley get downstairs.

"Are you sure you're ok?"

"I'll be okay..." Riley told him. "Though can you rub my back when you set me on the chair?"

"Of course I can." Atem nodded.

They walked as Atem set Riley on the chair, and started rubbing her back to take care of the back aches.

Knock Knock.

"It's unlocked!" Atem called.

The door opened and Lulu walked in. "I brought the stomach medicine you asked for."

"Thanks Lulu." Riley smiled to her.

"Anytime." Lulu smiled putting the medicine on the counter before leaving.

"Want me to take care of your feet?" Atem asked Riley.

Riley blushed slightly. "I'm ok."

Atem only smiled softly patting her back, "Okay. What you like to eat?"

"A tunafish and jelly sandwich please." Riley answered.

"Coming up." Atem smiled having gotten used to her cravings by now as he walked to the kitchen.

Riley smiled at that.

'Ok... she's getting worse.' Chaos King Archfiend frowned.

'That's just how pregnancies work out.' Atem pointed out. 'You five never really seen, or been a human one before, but this is natural.'

'The other girls have kids and they eat normal food... well mostly normal.' Archfiend Matador noted. 'I still don't understand chocolate and fruit.'

'Well you haven't been around them like with Riley.' Atem told him. 'Besides there is a thing as Apple Slices, and Peanut Butter.'

As he told this he got to work on Riley's craving sandwich. The Archfiends expressed varying degrees of disgust before quieting down. He finished bringing it over to Riley, "Here you go."

Riley took it. "Thank you Atem."

"No problem Riley." Atem smiled to her. "Are the twins doing okay?"

As if on cue she winced. "Yes, they're ok."

Atem softly placed his hand on her growing abdomen, "Well I'm glad their healthy, and alright. And next month is where we figure out if their both boys, girls, or one of each. How do you feel?"

"Everything hurts, but I'm excited to find out what we're ha..." Riley started before the phone started ringing.

"Huh? Who could that be?" Atem asked answering the phone, "Yes? Sakaki Residence."

"Atem is Mary there?" Celina asked fearfully.

"Huh? No she isn't. What's going on?" Atem asked alarmed.

"She's gone. Yuri and I can't find her!" Celina explained in a panic.

"What?" Atem asked shocked.

Celina had already hung up. Atem hanged up.

"Atem?" Riley inquired.

"Mary is missing." Atem told her.

"What?" Riley asked in horror. "We need to look for her, if anything..."

She started trying to get up only to wince and collapse.

"Riley you stay here with Ashley, and the twins." Atem told her placing his hands on her shoulders. Riley opened her mouth to argue before sighing and nodding in defeat. "Ok."

"I'll be back." Atem told her. "Just STAY here. I don't you, the twins, or Ashley getting hurt."

With that he ran out.

'Where are you going?' Photon Archfiend asked.

"The park. She might be there." Atem answered.

'Worth a try.' Skull Archfiend of Hope nodded.

After that he arrived to look for her. He looked through the entire park with no sign of her.

"Where is she?" Atem asked looking around.

'We don't know.' Toymaker Archfiend admitted.

"Maybe Duel Academy?" Atem asked.

'Worth a try.' the archfiends nodded.

With that they traveled to Duel Academy. Yuri and Celina looked like they had just gotten there.

"Hey guys. Hopefully Mark is here." Atem greeted.

"Yeah... hopefully..." Yuri nodded uncertainly.

"Okay let's take a look." Atem told him.

With that they entered the building. They looked around for Mary. Eventually Atem heard someone muttering in a closed room labeled LAB. Hearing that he opened the door. Mary was looking at a computer and a bug was next to her.

"Mary?" Atem asked her.

She looked up before her eyes widened. "No, I'm not ready yet."

"Mary what's going on?" Atem asked her.

She nervously turned to the computer to try and read as Atem realized next to her was a still living Fusion Parasite.

"What the!? Mary get away from that thing!" Atem told her worried.

"No, go away!" Mary cried before turning to the Parasite and nodding as it entered her ear.

"No! Mary!" Atem cried in horror seeing that.

"This way... it'll stop hurting uncle Atem." Mary answered sadly before the Parasite took control over her.

'Huh? Stop hurting me?' Atem thought surprised hearing that.

'Atem... she means she'll stop hurting.' Skull Archfiend of Hope told him. 'About Will."

'She still hasn't gotten over it?' Atem thought shocked. "Whatever, Chaos King Archfiend destroy the Parasite!"

'... No.' Chaos King Archfiend told him.

'What?' Atem asked him. 'You know those things are dangerous!'

'They're dangerous because of the Doktor, but he isn't here anymore Atem. Plus you heard her.' Chaos King Archfiend told him.

'Agh Yuri, and Celina are gonna get real mad.' Atem thought.

'Oh well.'

With that Atem slowly walked to Mary. Her eyes were expressionless as she turned to him.

"Mary...?" He asked hesitantly.

"Yes uncle Atem?" Mary answered.

"Are you okay?" Atem asked.

"I'm fine." Mary answered emotionlessly. "The Parasite worked."

Atem grunted before saying, "C-Come on. Your parents are worried."

"Ok." Mary nodded without any emotion in her voice. "They shouldn't be though, I'm ok."

They walked to find Yuri, and Celina.

"Mom, dad." Mary said seeing them.

They turned.

"Guys... I'm not sure how to explain this." Atem told them.

"Explain what?" Yuri asked as Celina hugged Mary close.

Atem explained it to them.

Yuri's eyes widened in horror as Celina started tearing up.

"It's ok mom." Mary told her calmly.

"Guys... I tried to get rid of it but... The Archfiends didn't want too. They think this is for the best." Atem told them.

'It is for the best, she was devastated and heartbroken and nobody did anything for her. She solved her own problems, which is more than most people ever do Atem.' Photon Archfiend told him. 'You and Mary being some of the very few exceptions.'

"We did do things for her Photon." Atem reminded him.

'No you didn't Atem, you said you would but months passed and nobody did or said anything to help her.' Toymaker Archfiend stated.

"I TOLD HER THAT EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY!" Atem couldn't help but yell.

"Uncle Atem, please calm down." Mary requested.

Meanwhile the archfiends just shook their heads in disagreement.

"I... I told her she'll find someone else." Atem said looking down.

"You did, but that didn't help. Now I don't need to anymore." Mary explained to him. "Mom, dad, can we go home now?"

Atem told the two with tears, "Yuri, Celina... You two must hate me now for letting this happen."

"... No." Yuri answered quietly. "We don't."

With that the three Fusion Dimension residents walked off. Atem looked on before heading off to his home. When he got there Riley was petting Ashely and sitting in the living room. Atem softly knocked on the opened door. Riley turned. "Atem, is everything ok?"

"...Mary's not longer hurting." Atem answered.

"Really, that's great." Riley smiled.

"But not in the way you think." Atem shook his head.

"Huh, what do you mean?" Riley asked.

Atem explained it to her. Riley looked horrified before looking down with tears in her eyes. "Oh..."

"...You must hate me now for letting this happen." Atem looked down. "Or file a divorce."

SLAP!

"Never say that!" Riley shouted.

Atem looking surprised raised a hand to his reddening cheek. Riley was in tears. "Promise me you'll never say that again!"

Atem asked, "You... Don't blame me?"

"... You didn't tell her to do that Atem, so why would I blame you?" Riley asked.

"I didn't..." Atem looked down in tears.

Riley embraced Atem before kissing him. Atem kissed her back closing his eyes.

The next day...

Both expecting parents were still sleeping together in bed right up until the twins started kicking hard. Riley woke up grunting in pain. She sat up as Atem stirred. "Huh... what?"

Riley was clutching her stomach and looked to be in a lot of pain.

"R-Riley are they kicking to hard?" Atem asked alarmed.

Riley just nodded weakly before crying out in pain again. Atem embraced her before rubbing her bulge, "It's okay you two. Stop hurting your mommy."

He felt a really hard kick that knocked his hand away as Riley cried out again. Atem rubbed her back as he said, "Okay breath Riley. Breath."

Riley started taking slow deep breaths only to cry out every other breath as the babies kept kicking. Atem kept rubbing her back embracing her.

"Atem... do you think... Yuri and... Celina told... the others about Mary?" Riley asked in between cries of pain.

"I think so." Atem answered. "And they might be just as shocked as us."

"What should we do now?" Riley asked before crying out in incredible pain.

Atem held her when she did. Then after that the kicking stopped. Riley was breathing slowly before looking at Atem with an evil smile. "Atem..."

"I think... We should figure something." Atem admitted not noticing her smile.

Suddenly she grabbed Atem and kissed him. "We can figure it out later. You upset me yesterday so you aren't getting out of this bed yet."

Atem blushed when he heard that. Riley just stared at him. "Well?"

"I'm sorry about that... It's just I didn't think it would lead to this." Atem told her.

Riley pouted. "Less talking more making up for hurting my feelings. We can talk later."

Atem asked her, "W-What do you have in mind?"

Riley stared at Atem before taking off her shirt.

Later...

Atem a little red was massaging Riley's feet.

"What were you saying before? We should figure something?" Riley asked.

"What we should do for Mary." Atem answered.

Riley frowned. "What can we do for her now?"

"I don't know, and that's what I'm worried about." Atem admitted.

"... Should we tell Yugo, Rin, and Will?" Riley asked.

"Yeah. They had to know." Atem answered.

Riley nodded before trying to get up. "Then lets go."

Atem stood up grabbing her arm, and place it over his shoulders. Riley smiled. "Thanks."

"No problem Ri." Atem smiled.

Riley smiled as they headed down to go to the Synchro Dimension. They arrived as they headed to Yugo's house with Riley's arm still around his shoulders. Atem knocked on there door.

"One second." Rin's voice called before she opened the door. "Oh, hey you guys. Come in."

Atem helped Riley inside.

"Yugo's in the garage and Will's upstairs spending some time with Leslie." Rin told them as they sat down. "Is everything alright?"

"Well..." Atem trailed off before telling what happened.

Rin listened as her expression went from confused, to scared, to horrified, to heartbroken.

"...And that's everything." Atem finished the story.

"That..." Rin started in disbelief.

Atem looked down, "I know."

"What do we do now?" Riley asked uncertainly.

"I don't know." Atem admitted rubbing his wife's back.

Rin frowned. "Will, can you come down here?"

A few seconds later Will walked down, "Yes Mama? Is there something you need?"

Rin looked at her son who had a confused look on his face before tearing up. "Actually sweetie, it's nothing. You can go back upstairs."

Will looked surprised by this. "Are you sure nothing is wrong?"

Rin just nodded. With that Will walked back upstairs. When he was back in his room with the door closed Rin put her head in her hands and started silently crying. Atem, and Riley looked on saddened before Atem patted her back.

"... Even when things should be peaceful, our lives are destroyed." Rin choked out.

"We gotta figure out a way for Mary to find someone so she can get rid of that Parasite." Atem decided.

"If we even can, she's not the real Mary anymore Atem." Riley pointed out before looking down sadly as Rin silently started to cry again.

Ulrich362: Well... that isn't good.

bopdog111: And this is something that shouldn't happen.

Ulrich362: Hopefully something works out.
