Then the doors closed tightly. Brother Zachariah and some members form the Clave go in in the hours after, but after that, the infirmary doors were closed and locked.
Clary decided to go for a small walk around New York, so she took her smallest knife and hid it in her shoe.
When she got to Houston Street, she saw a subtle glow coming from the alley.
Then, when she turned down the alley to take a look, she saw that there was a giant demon spider creating a purple glow, not unlike a lightning bug.
The spider jumping at her was the last thing she remembered.
