…The Final Year…
Lily and Amber had to herd us onto the train because we were all crying. They put us in the first compartment they could find that was empty.
Once the sheer shock of our last year wore off, we stopped crying. The train departed the station. Maddie and Xyla went off to visit friends. Zahara went to gather the tutor managers for our meeting. Lily and Amber went to the Prefects and Head Boy and Girl meeting. After a quick and simple tutor meeting, I dismissed them so they could go back to their friends.
I was reaching up to give Carrie and Sadie some snacks when the compartment door slid open. "Heard you cried cause it's our last year. Shouldn't you have been crying because you missed me?", Sirius asked leaning against the door frame. I rushed to him and gave him a giant hug. He gave me a quick kiss and hugged me back.
"You got my letter.", he asked sitting down. I nodded. "I have all the pictures.", I reported. "What's that?", he asked pointing at my neck. I was wearing a new necklace. "I had it made over the summer.", I replied showing it to him. It was a locket with three tiny photos inside.
The first was a picture of me and Sirius, the second was a sleeping Sirius, and the third was Sirius dressed in the southern belle dress. "Nope change the last picture.", he muttered. I shook my head in defiance. I kissed him lightly. He pouted and crossed his arms. I ignored his hissy fit and went back to feeding Carrie and Sadie.
Amber came back from the prefect meeting before Lily. "James is Head Boy and Remus is a prefect.", she informed me out of breath. She sat across from me. I sat myself on Sirius' lap.
Lily, James, and Remus entered the compartment a little later. We discussed the boys' trip this summer. "Why wasn't Peter with you guys?", Amber asked looking around. "He said he had someone to talk to. So, we went in separate directions when we got on the train.", James relied looking out the window.
After the feast, everyone trudged up to their dorms. Over the next week many seventh-years, Peter among them, were scolded for not being properly prepared for this term. everyone began to seriously think about what they wanted to do once they graduated. I already knew Lily was going for Auror or Unspeakable. Sirius was looking curiously into curse breaking for Gringotts. James was going for Auror. Remus was looking into Investigator for Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Zahara and Xyla wanted to be translators and tutors. Maddie wanted to go for Radio Broadcaster. Amber was going for Owlet trainer. I was still trying to decide between artist and photographer before just deciding to do both. Peter didn't want some high-profile job, so he was aiming to become an assistant.
We hardly saw Lily and James because they were hard at work as Head Boy and Girl. We were all by the lake relaxing in the afternoon sun. "Do you think James has finally asked out Lily?", Xyla asked Remus. Remus was caught completely off guard. "How do you know about that?", he spluttered.
She quickly explained about what Zahara and Lily had overheard. I chuckled remembering Lily's face when she found out. "Those two are complete opposites, but you know what they, opposites attract.", Xyla sighed staring at the Giant Squid playing in the shallows.
I was sitting between Sirius' legs and playing with his hands. "I thought he would've made a move sooner.", I joked. The others laughed. "You didn't realize when I made my move.", Sirius whispered so only I could hear. I laughed quietly.
Several weeks later we were enjoying a quick lunch. "James said he'd be here soon with important news for everybody.", Remus muttered reaching for a sandwich. Maddie, Xyla, and Zahara had sat with us because they were told to be here for James' announcement. I asked Sirius if he knew what the announcement was, but he wouldn't tell me. He just sat there chuckling knowingly. Moments later James and Lily walked into the hall hand in hand lovingly. The hall fell silent in stunned silence as the two made their way over to sit. Lily was blushing but looked happier than ever and James looked like he was flying sky high.
Once the shock of Lily and James dating finally wore off things felt like they were finally falling into place. Lily and Amber finally found out Remus was a werewolf. They were extremely upset with him because he kept acting like they were going to unfriend him. Amber was having not one bit of the pity party and whacked upside the back of is head. "You're our friend! If you think our friendship can be broken that easily you have another thing coming. Look at him. You can't get rid of us that easily. We're in this friendship for life.", she rambled waving her hands around. I chuckled at her rant.
For winter break James went with Lily to Petunia's wedding. Peter and Remus went home to visit family. The rest of us stayed at Hogwarts. Sirius had been avoiding me lately and I was kind of curious as to where he was disappearing to all the time.
Christmas morning, I went downstairs after convincing myself that I should leave the comfort of my warm inviting bed. I sat on the sofa in front of the fire. I was reading the Daily Prophet when Sirius descended the stairs from the boys' dorm. He walked over and sat on the sofa. He pulled me to him. "Hey there.", he whispered. I mumbled good morning as I curled up into his chest.
We sat there watching the fire for a bit. "I think it's about time I give you your Christmas present.", he whispered sliding a simple engagement ring on my ring finger. Tears welled up in my eyes. "I've been trying to figure out the best way to do that over the past couple of months.", he mumbled watching my expression carefully.
I let the realization sink in. I gave a squeal of delight. "Is that a yes?", he asked. I kissed repeatedly him in response. He smiled. I kissed him deeply and passionately. I gazed into his eyes. "Yes. My answer is yes!", I whispered. He kissed me wrapping his arms around me. I ran my hands through his hair. "I love you Faerydae.", he whispered against my lips.
"What's all this squealing?", Amber yawned walking into the common room. I held out my hand showing off my present. Amber did a double take. She went back upstairs and came back down looking at the both of us. "The babies are all grown up!", she cried out dramatically. Sirius rolled his eyes playfully. Xyla, Maddie, and Zahara had the same reaction as Amber. "Aww, Sirius finally asked!", Zahara giggled pinching Sirius.
We had a snowball fight outside after lunch. It ended in a draw and everyone went inside to drink some cocoa before dinner.
"How was the wedding?", Xyla asked Lily when she got back. Lily gave a tired sigh. "That bad?", Maddie asked. "Vernon and James didn't really hit it off, and Petunia wouldn't let me be a bridesmaid. The entire trip was just horrid.", Lily muttered darkly. She shook her head trying desperately to forget the whole thing. "What did you guys do over break?", she asked looking for something else to focus on.
"Well it was a rather simple holiday this year. Except for Fae. Fae got a promise for Christmas.", Maddie said acting extremely dramatic. Lily was extremely confused. Zahara picked up my hand and showed it to Lily. Lily gaped then let out a shriek. "That little sly thing.", she gasped.
Classes picked and everyone became extremely busy trying to study as much as they could. Since I've always been ahead with studying, I spent the next few months surveying the tutor managers to find my successor. I found a 4th year Ravenclaw girl that was extremely suited to take over.
We voted on it and she began helping me with my tasks so she could prepare to take over. I gave all the notes and study guides to her and Professor McGonagall. Once I graduate, I wouldn't really need them anymore.
The N.E.W.T.s were very difficult, but I didn't really expect anything less than what they tried to throw at me. Amber, Peter, and Maddie had to retake their apparition tests.
Sirius and I went on our final stroll of the school grounds. He'd been too quiet lately. "Your going to fight in the war, aren't you?", I enquired. "Yep. I'm going to help the Order of the Phoenix.", he replied staring at the sky. "Ok.", I nodded.
He looked thoroughly surprised. "You're not going to try and stop me?", he asked quizzically. I scoffed. "Even if I could I still wouldn't. just promise me two things. One you will try your best, and two you'll make sure to come back to me.", I said looking up at him. "Of course. I promise.", he reassured me giving me a hug. I felt tears spring into my eyes. "Aww. Don't cry. I'll return. I promise.", he whispered. "I know you'll return. I'm just scared.", I told him.
He hugged me tighter. I looked at him. "I'm scared too, but I'm going to fight anyways. Don't let your fear win.", he mumbled. I nodded. He pulled me into a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck.
On graduation day there were tears galore from Lily and Amber. "Wow! This is like a reverse situation of the train ride here.", Zahara laughed wiping Amber's tears.
The boys were slightly upset because something of theirs had been taken by Mr. Filch. We took the boat that carried us to Hogwarts our first year back across the lake. I turned to look at Hogwarts a final time. "Good-bye!", I whispered. I turned and joined the others on the train.
…After Hogwarts 1978…
When we got to the station it was even more emotional as the seventh-year graduates found their parents. I went through the barrier to greet my parents. They were happy to see us. I had to stop dad from giving Sirius a once over.
We went to the house with everyone's families following us. We had a simple graduation party in the garden. "Does your dad hate me now?", Sirius asked glancing at my dad. Dad came over and cleared his throat. "Fae is my daughter and I trust her completely. I hope I can trust you not to break her trust. Take good care of her son.", he said gruffly. He hugged me and shook Sirius' hand then walked off to join the other parents as they walked around the garden. Sirius looked at me and I smiled.
A week later Xyla and Maddie moved into a small flat together. Zahara moved into a small house nearby with Amber. I was packing my things to take to my new place with Sirius. I took one last look around my childhood. I closed the door and went downstairs.
Sirius and I had a small wedding with everyone we knew in attendance. We went on a small honeymoon to Las Vegas. When we returned to London we went to Lily and James' wedding. I gave her a scrapbook with all the school and trip memories in it.
I begun working at a painter's developing my art and photography skills further. Sirius was hard at work for the Order. For his birthday I bought him a motorbike.
It was late one night, and Lily was over trying to organize intel they'd procured from their spies. Sirius and James came stumbling into the room looking happy. James froze when he saw Lily's disapproving stare. "Out causing trouble?", she questioned them with her hands on her hips. "It was on the muggle news. Two men seen on motorbikes being chased by police through the streets of London!", she spoke calmly.
It was scary. "We didn't mean to, but then we got attacked by some Death Eaters on brooms so we kind of made a police car fly and crash into them so we could escape.", James hurried to explain with Sirius nodding alongside him. I just sat there organizing Remus and Peter's reports of skirmishes. Lily sat down trying to calm herself and be rational. "Next time be more careful.", she finally relented. James breathed a sigh of relief and Sirius finally relaxed.
They went home a bit later and Sirius turned to me. "You haven't said anything. It's scaring me. Say something. Please.", he wrapped his arms around me.
I said nothing and continued working. I smacked his hands off of me. He groaned and muttered to himself. I felt my anger, fear, and need to do something reaching max capacity. I rolled up the Daily prophet on the table.
I rounded on him. I began hitting him with it. He ran from the room and I chased him. He stood on the other side of the couch. He had his hands up in surrender. I threw the Prophet at him. "You reckless child. Do you know how scared I was? Do you know that I was on the verge of tracking you down? Do you realize that I was shocked beyond belief when I saw that damned motorbike on the television?", I cried.
Sirius rushed over to me. I felt him wrap his arms around me. when I tried to get out of his embrace, he held me tighter. I collapsed against him. I hit his chest with my hands. He moved us over to the couch.
I was shaking. He tilted my face up. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done something that reckless.", he whispered. I looked at him. He kissed me. I gave in and kissed him back. He slid me onto his lap.
I slid my hands down his chest. He slid my shirt off. He kissed a trail down my neck. I played with his shirt and he took it off. I unbuttoned his pants. I kissed him as he picked me up and carried me to our bedroom.
He laid me on the bed and slid my pants off. I watched him as he kissed his way up my leg. He rolled my panties off. He licked away at my folds. I arched my back. He held my hips down. I gasped as he flicked my clit. I was squirming in need and Sirius sensed it.
He removed his pants and boxers. He slid into me slowly. I gasped as he began to ravage my body. He wrapped my legs around his waist. I moaned and gasped in his ear.
