When the ship docks in Beacon, Coco, Velvet, and Ruby walk around the school, Ruby looks at a couple of the student's weapons they are carrying.
"Wow, that guy has an assault rifle sled hammer, and that girl has a flame sword," said Ruby
"Geez, Ruby, you're getting too excited people weapons," said Coco
"Sorry, my inner weapon nerd took over,"
"So do you guys think we're going to end up in a team together?" said Velvet
"I hope."
"Yeah, but a couple of people told me that the school intention is crazy as hell," said Coco
"Doesn't matter even if we are or not on a team together we still count on each other,"
"That sweet Ruby," said Velvet
"Thanks, Velvet,"
"Hey guys, I'm getting a bit hungry. I'm going to head over to the vending machines. Velvet can you tag along?" said Coco
"Um sure, Coco," said Velvet
"Oh, can you guys bring me back at least cookies," said Ruby
"Of course, Ruby,"
Ruby watches her two walk to the vending machine, and Ruby looks around. As Coco and Velvet walk to the vending machine, Coco asks Velvet.
"So when are you going to tell Ruby that you're lovey-dovey for her?" said Coco
"What! I like Ruby as a friend," said Velvet, who is bushing a bit
"Sure do you that why you were happier than me when Ruby told us, she got accepted to Beacon,"
"N-no I wasn't that happen,"
"Listen, I'm not rush you to tell Ruby how you feel about her, but you have to do it, or someone might beat you to the punch,"
"Thanks for that advice,"
"No problem, now where the hell is the vending machine,"
Back to Ruby, who is wandering around the school's courtyard until she trips on a rock and crashes into a cart full of suitcases and a briefcase full of jars of multicolored dust.
"What do you think you're doing?" Ruby looks up to see a white-haired girl with a scar on her left eye, and she grabs a jar of red dust that is leaking.
"I'm fine, thanks for asking," said Ruby getting up
"Do you have any idea what could have happened?"
"Let me guess something bad would've happened,"
"You are correct," the white-haired girl shake the jar causing a small cloud of dust come toward Ruby "this is dust, you know the thing that powers everything in some of your weapons you could've blown everyone up,"
"Uh," Ruby felt she going to sneeze from the dust in the air. Ruby sneezes, causing an explosion of fire, ice, and lighting dust to only affect the white hair girl covered in black ash then cleaning the ash off of her."Oops,"
"Unavailable. See what you have done. This is what I'm talking about?" said the girl.
"Look, I'm sorry, alright," said Ruby
"You are a complete dolt. What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be in this school anyway? Beacon is no ordinary combat school?"
Ruby had enough of the girl. "Hey, I said I'm sorry I don't need to explain to you why I'm here, and by the way, you should not have shaken that dust in my face in the first place. Whoever you are?"
"The nerve do you know who I am?"
"The queen of ice."
"Why you little.."
"She is an heiress," Ruby and the white-hair girl turns to another girl with raven hair, yellow eyes, and a bow on top of her head.
"Heiress of Iceland," said Ruby causing the white-hair girl give Ruby a glare
"No, she Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world,"
Weiss smiles. "Finally some recognition,"
"The same company is also known for inhumane treatment, questionable decisions, and greedy tacts,"
"Wow, she put you in your place, ice queen," said Ruby
Weiss frowned. "Why you...that's...Ugh! Forget it!" Weiss storms off
"I think I see some of that black stuff on your butt!" Ruby heard Weiss groan in frustration, "get the feeling that I'm going to see her again, so what your.." Ruby turn and the girl with the bow is gone "know I'm talking to myself, nice,"
"Need company," Ruby turn to the young men who throw up in the airship "the name Jaune Arc,"
"Ruby King, and aren't you the guy who throws up in the airship?"
"...yes,"
Later on, the two strike up a conversation as they walk into the school courtyard.
"I'm all I'm saying that motion sickness in that altitude can cause a person to be sick," said Jaune
"You don't explain yourself, Jaune. I get it," said Ruby
"Okay, because my mom said the first impression is key to meeting people,"
"She sounds like a nice person,"
"She is,"
"So, do you want to see my weapon?"
"Sure,"
Ruby pulls out the Scarlet crown in the Gauss Rifle mode "what do you think?"
"It looks awesome, but what exactly is it,"
"It's a high energy weapon that shoots projectiles at high speed and maximum damage. It's also a sword and scythe,"
"I have no words,"
"I'm a gun nut, also I made this," Ruby pulls out Crimson's blade.
"Why do you need two weapons?"
"Well, my mom says that if something happens to my main weapon, I need a sidearm, so what is your weapon?"
"This," Jaune pulls out a sword from his sheath, and it opens to a shield.
"What do they do?"
"This," Jaune tap on the shield convert back to the sheath "it's getting smaller, and if I get try of carrying it I can just put it away,"
"Doesn't it weigh the same, either way?"
"It does,"
"How did you make your weapon?"
"It's a family heirloom,"
"Well, not many people go with the classic weapons,"
"Jaune smiles, I guess,"
"Ruby!" Ruby and Jaune turn to Coco waving at Ruby
"I gotta go meet up with my friend. See you later, Jaune,"
"Yeah, see you later, Ruby,"
Ruby walks to her friend Coco, and they head off inside of the school.
Inside the school, a girl with violet eyes and long blonde hair talks to a girl with light blue hair in the hallway.
"So Yang, what do you think of the school so far?" said the blue hair girl
"It's fine. I hope I don't get stuck with someone lame in my team," said Yang
"Please, I can see you being solo,"
"You got that right," Yang turned to see from a distance Ruby getting a bag of cookies from Coco and talking to Velvet. Yang thought, "is that… no, it can't be. I'm just imaging things,"
"Um, Yang, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, so let's go somewhere else,"
"Alright if you say so," and the two walk-offs.
